Tom made Econ so easy. He literally wants you to pass so badly and is so so accommodating. He teaches the bare essentials and likes to teach only the stuff the thinks is relevant to the real world. Do the practice problems on the handouts and you'll be good!

Mr. Garr is truly an angle sent from heaven. He gives you the questions that will be on the test at the end of all his handouts. His goal is for students to actually learn on not be concentrated on passing the course. He is so understanding. For the final he even gave us a little surprise. But you'll have to take the class to see for yourself!! <3

Just between us girls, he was the best sort of teacher to have as my first semester in college. Econ was a required class so I went ahead and got it out of the way. Very lecture heavy but he's funny and genuinely wants you to do good. I went to (almost) every class and messed around on my computer or 2DS and still did super good.

Professor Garr always says that he's a wall street guy, meaning that he's very fast paced, but that also means that he's always ready to help a student. Anytime any day. DO the multiple choice questions on the bottom of his powerpoint, those are basically the test questions. Tests are pretty simple just know the basics of the concepts.

Only a few tests, all multiple choice. His lectures follow PDFs he posts online and the tests follow the study guide to a T. At the end of each PDF are practice problems from the book, do them (they show up on tests) and if you dont get something you can email and hell respond immediately even if its 3 am. Hes amazing, if you can get him do it.

TAKE THIS CLASS! Best professor at KSU. He wants you to get an "A". The only way you do not get an "A" is if you don't take the test. No homework. He gives you everything you need for the test and more. He offers extra help for each test. Super funny and nice.

My freshman year was tough, and there were times when I wasn't prepared for a test, but he was so understanding and gave me extensions when I needed them. If you want a teacher who truly cares about his students, take him!

Garr is truly the BEST i cannot stress that enough. he livestreams lectures on zoom and doesn't take attendance. his lectures are super interactive and funny so i would still go. there's 4 total exams and no other assignments (he dropped our lowest exam). the exams are no lockdown, no webcam, and no class that day so you can take them from home.

He is an incredible Professor. He is always available to help you and will go above and beyond to make sure his students understand the coursework. He genuinely cares about his students and will help you get to your goals. 100% would take him again, never skipped because he is actually interesting. Just a great guy.

Garr was awesome! he really cares about the future of his students and wants each of us to be successful in life after college. he only grades on tests that are open note/openbook. he wants us to do well and get an A but also learn life lessons and economics for future needs. would take again 100%

I was terrified to take ECON because of how ECON was in high school. I highly highly recommend Professor Garr. He cares so much for his students. His tests are online, and if anyone is feeling super stressed before the test he goes above and beyond to make sure hey are ready and even offers for them to take it on a different day. He is a lifesaver

Not enough good things to say about Tom Garr! He is the single best prof I've ever had. Genuinely wants you to succeed not only in class, but in life. Took his class at 6:30pm and am so glad I chose him instead of another prof w a better time. Everyone should get to experience his class :)

The greatest professor I've ever taken in all of KSU. Teaches econ concepts effortlessly and with a good dash of humor to help you remember. Extremely caring, understanding, and will literally bend over backwards to help you get an A+. Every professor should be like this.

The best professor ksu has. He cares so much about teaching us but also about making people understand money and real world problems. A lot of people stop showing up but he really is so interesting and also makes the class laugh. If you cannot get into his class then try another semester, it's worth it.

This professor is a gift from Jesus Christ. This class will by far be the easiest in your academic career at Kennesaw State University. He goes above and beyond for his students; he is everything and a bag of chips. He is genuinely one of the best professors I've ever had. He's a great person. He cares for everyone and will do anything to ensure you succeed in life. Try to take him at least once at KSU you won't regret it.

He is extremely caring and checks in with you often. All the tests are online and you don't come to the actual classroom to take them. If you want to pass this class and his tests, ask for the write ups after every lecture. They are literally life savers. If you cant make it to his class, you can go through the zoom. (his stories are the best!!)

Extremely friendly but professional guy with a tangible passion for teaching. Even though attendance isn't mandatory, I'd still go to every single lecture. Genuinely tries and succeeds in making econ fun and understandable. Every lecture will be an inspirational experience. He'll tell you that you can email him at 2am. 100% take his classes.

He is arguably the best professor at KSU.I would tell anyone to take his class, even if they didn't need it for their major. His constant availability and genuine support for his students become longlasting assets beyond just a letter grade.If you need a great ECON professor or simply a cheerleader in your corner, Professor Garr won't let you down!

I urge every freshmen and new students coming to kennesaw to take this professor. Seriously I feel like you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't take him. His last lecture left an impact on me that I still think about to this day.
