Very helpful if you go see him at his office hours. Midterm and final are very fair if you do a little studying and attend most lectures. The reflection assignments are marked a bit more tough however still possible to get an A. Over all his lectures were usually very informative and interesting.

Tom Griffin is up there for one of my favourite profs! Although his lectures are big, they are still interactive and interesting. He is not out there to trick students and his exam questions are straight to the point. If you know your stuff, you know your stuff.

Tom is clearly knowledgeable; however, he did not lecture enough this semester. There were too many classes wasted on group presentations, meetings, a movie, and etc. His tests are not challenging enough for a business school. However, his projects and presentations may seem easy but he marks them quite thoroughly. He provides GREAT feedback though

Highly proficient with technology and will encourage you to participate via a number of cloud platforms. While other profs are trying to figure out how to use a keyboard, this man has already mastered the art of interactive lecture. Knows you by your name even if you only spoke to him for 7 seconds and delivers interesting lectures.

Tom is a great Prof. His lectures are very interesting, and thus easy to retain with some review of notes. Exams are based off of lectures, so if you attend and listen, you should pass. Tons of essays, but he's a fair grader.

Professor Griffin is a great teacher. He uses examples, does helpful reviews from previous lectures and is very approachable if you ever need any clarity (however, his lectures pretty much spell out everything you need to know anyway). He is very clear in his teaching methods.

British accent is so cute

He's cute and interesting. However, he doesn't know how to justify his marks when question about them. Especially if he view it as a good mark.

Tom will be there for you no matter what. If you can't make office hours, he will skype with you to help explain. He also posts youtube video tutorials, and wants to help out.

Tom is a great prof. Always willing to help and is as clear as he can be during lectures. Tests are straightforward and he definitely does not try to trick you. Study what he teaches or assigns as readings and you will get an A.

The best prof of Ryerson University! He is nice, understanding and very helpful. Does everything he can to give as many marks as possible since he understands how it's not easy to be in university. Amazing man, I wish i could take all of my classes with him. He's my fav!

Provides clean understanding powerpoints. A tiny assignment for every chapter. For the essay, he gives very clear outline and grading criteria.

This is by far the best prof I've had at Ryerson. He is funny, caring and makes his lectures interesting and simple to understand. He posts all materials online and the grading criteria is good. You have weekly reading summaries (super easy) and 2 short papers. I highly recommend this course for an easy A!

Tom is a great prof! His lectures are not boring, and he explains everything very well. If you have payed attention in class, and know all the concepts he taught on the ppts, you are guaranteed to do well on the exams. Although you will have to do readings and submit answers to three questions once every week, this class isn't a burden at all.

Hes awesome, this lectures are amazing and easy to follow, goes through slides not too fast and not too slow. Perfect!!! He explains everything very carefully and does care about his students and wants everyone to pass and be successful but you have to respect him too during his lectures and not talk

Probably one of the best profs I've had in university hands down. Make sure you attend his lectures! not because its mandatory but because you'll barely have to study the material he teaches it so well. He's definitely one of the top professors in the HTM faculty. Also easily available outside of class and makes it very easy to contact him.

He is extremely nice and funny. Lectures are enjoyable and engaging. I missed a bunch of work because i was sick and he made time to see me one on one and help me catch up and was very accommodating. Fantastic professor.

Tom is honestly one of the best profs I've had so far! He is very passionate about what he does and provides great support for assignments. His lectures are very interesting, so be sure to show up for the activity points too (easy marks). There are weekly readings followed by a short reflection. The textbook readings really prepare you for exams.

Tom is definitely my favourite prof by far. Easy marks by filling out activities in class. His lectures are informative, engaging and helpful for mid-term and exam preparation. Took this course randomly as my elective and it was a pleasure to have Tom teach this. He's very kind and approachable and I would love to take another course with him teaching. Attendance is mandatory since there are small in-class activities almost every class for points towards your grade. But overall, no regrets.

Tom is one of most chill profs at Ryerson. He provides clear criteria for his essay in order to do well. Many in-class activities are done in order to get bonus points which can help boost your mark. The midterm was super easy, all you have to do is watch and understand the review video he posts. However, the final is a bit harder. Overall easy.

I think Tom is a terrific prof. The class isnt too easy, theres still many assignments, which he expects depth and length- although he provides you EVERYTHING you could need to succeed. His lectures are great and interactive, and he really does care about his students. I truthfully think Tom helps spark my passion for this industry.

The best professor I have ever interacted with. So caring, and so immaculate in teaching. If you don't understand a concept, he will go to the ends of the earth to help you. At no point will he leave you hanging. He can make you interested in even the drabbest of topics (policy-making or statistics!!) and you'll get a good grade if you just listen.

HTR741 is a difficult course I won't lie, and the final report is super long as well, but he will provide literally everything that you need to assist you actually learn something online. recommend everyone to take Tom's class.

Good prof, a little too much homework

This is my second class with Tom. Can't wait for the next one. He adjusts his lecture to suit all learning styles. Will offer to help after class, accessible meeting times. Many small opportunities in class to gain easy marks. He's easy to talk to. Even during the online classes for COVID, his class was not overbearing and easy to learn.

Tom Griffin was very clear in his lectures and was very good at explaining anything if something was unclear. He is open to discussions in class about class material and was super understanding when I needed accommodations. He is a very reasonable marker as well. I highly recommend taking his classes

Participation is mandatory because of the activities during class. Textbook is needed for assignments. Also gives Oprah Winfrey level extra marks if necessary.

Great prof and engages student into the course

Dr Griffin is such an elite professor. Having him for the first semester in an online environment was great! His classes are fun and engaging, he really tries his best to get students to interact with him and with one another. This course is an Easy A, just make sure you watch his video lectures and answer the weekly quizzes on time.

Great Prof! Had lots of fun in his policy class, he makes learning fun. He gives A LOT of homework though but has no exams so its worth it. As long as you do the work you will do great in his class

Professor Griffin is one of the most inspiring people I've had the pleasure of learning from. He is very informative and makes learning engaging and entertaining for everybody. The course content was very interesting and he made sure to put a practical spin on topics. My only issue was his TA's were extremely hard markers but this is a minor issue.

He is super inspirational and professional. I appreciate him the most because of his fair treatment to every student. He is strict, but as long as you participate or watch recoding videos, you should be fine.

Dr. Griffin is literally the best prof at this school. He is very nice and funny and makes school enjoyable. All of his content and projects were explained clearly and he was very fast to reply to questions. There is something due every week which can be stressful, but they're easy projects. Participation was mandatory on zoom but were easy marks.

"I had my doubts with a 5-star rating and 94 reviews, but this professor provides crystal-clear, step-by-step instructions. As a fourth-year student, I've never encountered such an engaging classroom atmosphere. It's not at all forced, and the lectures are genuinely enjoyable and enriching.

THE MOST CARING PROFESSOR to walk this earth. He is awesome. The only downside of this course that there are many deliverables which could be annoying especially towards the end of the semester, very accommodating though if you get sick. Don't take this course with other courses that require you to write a lot or else it will be kinda hectic.

He is very caring and lectures are very engaging! There are lots of opportunities to achieve a good grade and will give a 1% bonus for participating in class. Even if you don't attend every lecture and do all the readings, the content is quite easy to understand. There are a few short papers but the lowest mark will be dropped.

He was a great professor and it's one of the professor that I like on campus, he made lots of interesting class discussion instead of reading the slides like other professors.

As a non-hospitality student, I was nervous coming into this. Research is not my forte. this man is so kind. I had him for HTT100, and he's actually passionate about what he teaches; he genuinely likes his job. The most amazing British guy I know.
