very interesting stories, hands back every paper!!!! and let's you do reviews until the end of the school year. Be prepared to write one paper a week though. only about 2pages Easy to do. fun class

Quirky guy that he is, he's an awesome teacher. I actually WANT to go to class! One short fiction analysis paper per week...2 pages (if that). Grades a bit harsh sometimes. NO MORE GLORIA ESTEFAN!! :)

Easy to get a C...if you want anything better don't take him b/c he hardly ever gives A's. You have to write a paper every week, but he's a funny guy.

He is so helpful and nice. Watch movie clips at beginning of every class. Very interesting sense of humor.Finds himself very funny (is sometimes). Tests aren't too hard, but go to his study sessions and you'll do great. AWESOME teacher. gets you involved.

He is an awesome teacher! His theme is mystery and transendance. Makes you really think. Class is pretty easy and has a great sense of humor. Reminds me of Doc Emmit Brown from Back to the Future

I would hang out with this dude if I could.He has the ability to show you that english is kick ass.He relates all of his stories to modern occurences that help you out tremendously.Also, if you are a dork like me, then you will love him.

Awesome teacher. It isn't hard to get an A if you actually show up. He's understanding and lets you catch up if you fall behind. Lets you revise, which many teachers don't!... If you don't mind the old spanish movies, take him.

Great teacher, if you get a chance take a class with him. As long as you pay attention and show interest he will do what it takes to help you.

Good teacher who tries to keep the students interested. He grades tough but just talk with him and he'll explain what he wants. Very interesting character.

He is a great teacher. At first it seems like tons of work having a paper every week, but they're short and relatively easy - and i actually become a much better writer. You also get to revise your essays for a better grade however many times you need.

Good Class. More difficult than anticipated. Have leared to be more self-critical (of writing-a good thing) in the real world you don't get second chances. Put's a lot into his classes. Focus-help students prepare to write better papers for future classes.

wow... what a fun guy! he really knows how to make this class interesting! his tests aren't that hard, just make sure to study a lot, and attend every class, and you'll be fine! he is such a cool teacher, I definitely recommend him!

Well he is a nice guy, but pretty boring. We had a paper due every Monday. All you do during class is read, and look in depth to the stories you read.

Great teacher. He was really nice, and I really enjoyed his class. If you go to the study sessions, he tells you everything that is going to be on the test.

Okay, this is how he is...he talks and make a lot of sense, but repeats himself...you can do well if you put your time into it..long hard time..if you want to..it's a challenge, but after the research paper it's a bunch of analysis, ..he's a nice and knowledebale prof,however; he grades fairly tough

He's a great guy. He's very understanding and not a tough grader at all. Take him for Lit. He makes class more interesting and fun.

Hardee expects a lot out of his students, and his lectures tend to be boring, but he is EXTREMELY helpful and offers a great deal of extra credit. His tests are fair, and he always asks random questions like, "Explain the mystery of Tom Hardee," and it's worth twenty points. It's important to attend class because HW and tests are based on lectures.

Going to class is useless, but required for attendance points. Class is not difficult, but he is a hard grader on papers.

I LOVED him, he was a wonderful professor, like any English class, he grades subjectively, so you have to know what he wants and say that, or have a very strong, supported opinion of why you disagree.

I enjoy reading, but he grades homework before we go over it in class. Have hw everyday and it is 30 percent of your grade so even if you do well on the tests it can severely hurt you, which isn't right. His test reviews are very helpful. Overall weird awkward and ridiculous. I don't recommend him at all. Have 2 huge papers due @ the end of the sem

He's a bit kooky but it can be endearing. Rambles a lot, but very friendly and tries to explain the lit in ways students can relate to. Tests are often long with many short answer questions. Expects detailed answers so make sure you've taken Eng 111/112. Overall, helpful and knowledgable.

Awesome teacher. Very kooky, but it makes things very interesting. Willing to hear others opinions and very patient. Gives reviews before every test and basically tells you the answers. Many homework assignments, but as long as you take time on them you'll get a good grade. Highly recommend.

Best teacher by far. Don't listen to anyone who says you should not take him! He is very helpful and makes english, a class that is typically boring, a very fun class. I plan on taking him for another class. I wouldn't say the class was easy but it wasn't impossible either. He is very funny and a great teacher at Northwest.

He is a great teacher. He has a different sense of humor, but it is comical. He is goofy in a cute, quirky way. He is very passionate about what he teaches. His review sessions are extremely helpful. If you pay attention to his lectures it is easy to pass the class. Work is required in this class, but it is interesting what he teaches.

He is my favorite teacher at Northwest. His class was very entertaining. He is super nice, super helpful, & he shows video clips at the start of every class. He is really easy if you pay attnetion in class and take advantage of all the writing tools he supplies. I would recommend him to anyone.

He's awesome point blank,at the beginning of each class we would watch some kind of video. Mostly Hispanic music videos because he once lived in Mexico. He's very understanding and Grades kind of hard but now I will not take an English class if he isn't teaching!

Hardee is an excellent professor. There's usually an assignment with every class period, but it's never too much to handle. Yes you do write papers, but Hardee spreads it all out so you work on an outline one day, then sources the next and so on. And he lets you revise almost every assignment so you can make corrections and ask questions, he helps!

Very difficult grader, but awesome guy who teaches about very important subjects. Its a tough class but it will make you a better writer, if you care.

Mr. Hardee is a VERY smart and interesting professor. His class is all lecture, but if you pay attention you'll learn a ton, and get to hear his great stories. You really need to attend all of the classes, because the tests are based around what we talk about in class. This class is assignment heavy, so you can boost your grade. Extra Credit ops.

Professor Hardee is possibly my favorite professor at NW. He is so energetic during lectures and actually likes what he is teaching. He is more than willing to help students succeed. His class made me think differently about my life, and no other class has done that. Lectures were super fun, I enjoyed going.

Hardee is one of my favorite professors I've had so far. He gives great feedback on every paper and is willing to help you work through your problems.

He has clear expectations, a dry sense of humor, tends to ramble, and flavors classes with life experiences. He isn't for everyone, but for me, he's perfect. Really passionate person who deeply cares about his students, and chooses readings that encourage them to challenge their own perceptions, and examine the life of others.

I personally thought that he was a good professor. We didn't talk about a whole lot in class so you don't really need to pay attention unless he is giving instructions for an assignment. Lots of writing but he gives good feedback and lets you redo multiple times if you need it. As long as you keep track of your deadlines you'll be fine

Super good professor and great at teaching things from a different point of view. One of the best writing classes to take. He grades hard but allows you to revise for some points. Papers are majority of work but only a couple pages.

He genuinely cares about his students and is always willing to help. He gives good feedback on papers and allows revisions!
