Tom is the best!!! There is a lot of work and this class is very hard but he makes it fun and makes sure you get it. Always laughing in this class. He is a must have teacher, wish they all were like him.

This Teacher is great! Its not an easy course but you can definitely see he loves teaching and brings that enthusiasm with him into the class room. I would definitely recommend him.

Awesome teacher he could teach anything he wanted. Funny as heck and puts everything into perspective if you have questions. You do have to go to lab but he is always willing to help and hey if you need a DD one night call him he will drive you home, trust me I know.

Tom is the best teacher I have ever had! His lectures are interesting and hilarious. He gives you plenty of lab time so you aren't lost when it comes practical time. You do have to study a lot but the exams are not too horrible. Oh and recording the lectures is a life saver! Good luck!!!

TOM aka The Great and Powerful Oz! Is the best professor I have ever had!! I took his 5 week BIO 201 class this summer and learned more then I could imagine! His style of teaching is SUPER clear and very humorous which makes time fly and enjoyable. You won't be bored in this class but will look forward to coming to class. For A&P take him!

Took this class at another university, but learned more through Tom and had it stick because he made it interesting. You need to study and pay attention in A&P regardless who is teaching; but, Tom is a wonderful prof. and insightful and you will remember your lessons.

tom is a great teacher, apparently that means girls can sit in the front and screw around and piss off the whole class, because they thinks its fun to flirt.. so if youre going to take his class be prepaired to have to tell the annoying little girls to STFU! but tom is cool and the class is hard if youre not going to study, or read!!

Tom took over our Bio 201 class when our original professor went on medical leave for most of the semester. He's fun and interesting, goes off on tangents, and is a bit of a nut job in the best possible way. He knows his biology and puts it in ways that make it understandable and easier to remember. It's a very hard class and he's a good teacher.

Tom is a hoot. This guy loves the Sonoran desert and it shows, he often talks about his biking adventures. Great sense of humor and the class is not demanding, you have a couple of projects and some tests. This class is an easy A if you do your assignments just like any other class.

Tom has an excellent ability to take very challenging information and put in ways that are understandable. He is very patient, he answers as many questions as time allows, and he makes the lectures enjoyable. I seriously have never learned so much! Tom by no means is an easy teacher, but he is an excellent one.

Regardless of how you take, Physio 201/202 are no walk in the park. Tom made you look forward to coming to class. His knowledge and stories of the real world make it stick. EVERYONE loves TOM. AWESOME teacher! I took his 5 week summer course and got an A. Over half of the class got an A. It was a lot of work, a ton of studying, but he works hard too and makes the information easy to understand. Really funny too, keeps you on the edge of your seat. Class flies by! You will LOVE anatomy & physiology after taking Tom's class!

I had Tom's class back in 2010 and I still remember EVERYTHING he taught me. He will also FB friend you, we remains friends to this day. I don't know why he hasn't won teacher of the century award yet. He should! He is the BEST professor you will ever have I guarantee it. He is knowledgeable beyond belief. I have graduated with my bachelors in physiology and by far the best teacher i have ever had in all subjects! and i have take MANY CLASSES! he made this tough class a breeze and fun! HIGHLY recommended! i would love to go back in time and take all my class with him!

Dude knows his ish from the ground up, if you show that you care he will help you out and he will motivate you to do better. He can be a bit random and off topic at times, but that just adds to the charm. Can't remember the last time I had fun in class like this, I am sad I won't be able to take 202 with him. Tom is by far the best college teacher I've ever had. He makes you want to come to class, which is hard to do. He's entertaining, funny, and an overall excellent teacher. The class is by no means easy, you will have to work hard to get a good grade but he is so helpful the whole way. I've never had a teacher make me so inspired to learn.

Walked in late 1st day of class. No registration. Tom signed me in anyway. Forgot to do my HW 2 days after. Said he wouldn't accept. I did the HW late. He accepted it anyway. If you want to have fun and actually learn a lot, then you'd be doing yourself a gigantic favor by taking Tom's class. His classes and teaching style are what learning should be about, fun, eventful and informative. I took 201 and 202 with him and it was an absolute blast from start to finish. He's honestly one of Pima's best instructors. Take him!

OMG!!!!! This by far was the best class i have taken this year! Tom is one of the best teachers at Pima, and if you want a fun class that will also teach you about A&P, then he is the teacher for you. Definitely one of my favorite teachers! Will definitely make you laugh. Throws a lot of corny jokes and colorful language-- but that kept his students (even in the back corners) engaged. There were no surprises, really. All the information you need to know are in his power points. Don't leave your phone on unless if you want to dance. Literally.

I LOVE HIM. You are wrong if you don't take his class. He makes everything relatable to your normal life. Its so easy to remember. I took his 5 week summer course. I don't think onot one of my cell in my body regrets taking his extremely fast paced course. Do yourself a favor and take his class.

I don't know why anyone would take the 5 week course. Even in a semester long class there seems to not be enough time for the amount of material. Tom is wondrous and will make you laugh EVERY day. Tom is an amazing instructor but man is this class HARD! If you're not studying every other day at LEAST there is no way you will pass this class with an A. I recommend studying for exams early because it's A LOT of material, and Tom is notorious for giving out pop quizzes after HW assignments. Tom's lectures are very insightful! Taking him for 202

Tom not only teaches you Bio202, he teaches you how to prepare for the next step in your academic journey. He is seriously the best teacher I have had in college (AAS engineering, BA psychology). If you really want to learn this stuff, take this class. If you want an easy A, don't bother, pick another teacher.

Tom is an amazing teacher! I am actually sad to be done with anatomy. It is not an easy class, but if you take the time to study and study in the bio lab for the practicals you will be fine. His classes fill up as soon as they open, so sign up as soon as the class opens! You won't regret it!

Tom is a hard teacher but he is a great teacher. I would take his class again just because he is such an awesome guy! I took him 3 semesters because A&P is HARD.. but I enjoyed my time in the class and I enjoyed him. Pay attention to lecture and study as often as you can, and go to the lab. He will help you the whole way! And you see a cadaver!

Tom is hilarious ! But he makes you work hard for your grade, he wants everyone to succeed and gives you all the tools to do so. This class is lecture heavy and you must NEVER miss a class, it will hurt you in the end. If you take him be ready to study a lot. You won't regret taking him.

Tom is AMAZING! Hes definitely a character and trust me, you will enjoy his class. Hes very knowledgeable about AP and tells it like it is. Exams are majority of your grade. Even though I did well on every assignment, the exams caused me to fail. You must put the work in if you want to pass. Study, study, study!!!

I took his BIO 201IN class during the summer since he was booked in the fall. He makes anatomy so fun and understandable! Simply pay attention in lecture/labs and study moderately, you'll get an A. Before Tom's class, I felt defeated and had a negative outlook on life. But Taking Tom's class showed me that I had what it took to be succesful in difficult situations. The class was brutally difficult, but the feeling was never lost that he belived in us. I learned how to believe in myself again. Tom will be missed, the best proffesor I've had.

I've taken Tom's BIO 201 and BIO 202 classes at pima. Tom keeps his class engaged and makes many real life analogies in order to help his students grasp the objectives. He has many pre-recorded lectures on youtube that I still find myself going back to. He has prepared me well for nursing school. This class is not an easy A.

I took this class back in the summer of 2022, only a few weeks before his untimely passing. Anatomy is an extremely heavy class with difficult concepts, and Tom made it not only bearable, but enjoyable. His lectures were incredibly engaging and fun, and he was always prepared to help. I am now in block 1 of the nursing program all thanks to Tom!
