Great teacher. Extremely helpful and willing to bend deadlines if you attend and put effort into the class. Invites guest speakers and makes class enjoyable.

Really great guy! Class is interesting and he is extremely easy going. There is no reason to do poorly in his class, as long as you show up and participate. Really helpful assisting students satisfy their required hours of field observation.

Again, there is no reason anyone should end up with less than an "A" in this class. Alot of interaction between people in the class. As long as you attend and participate, you will not have any problem. He is very helpful and will help when ever he can. HE is truly one of the BEST Instructors at Edison College.

I wish Dr. Michel taught all of the Education classes. He is very helpful and his classes are very interesting. His personality is down to earth and he has a good sense of humor. I will become a teacher because of his influence.

Great Professor! Really makes class fun and enjoyable.. There is no way you can fail the class unless you just don't do any work.

Easy and stress-free. Allows you to use notes on almost all the quizzes. A lot of assignments are just your opinion. Great and funny guy! He even let's you go to his high school (he is a vice principal) for one day to get your 15 hours of observation. Easy A :D

Wow! If you are interested in being a teacher - TAKE DR. MICHEL! This is one of the best teachers/classes I have ever had! The class is really fun and enjoyable. Grades are VERY fair, and quizes & tests are easy and to the point. This is one class I will actually miss.

Dont be stupid and miss out on taking Dr. Michel's class. I originally took this class on another campus with Professor Desjardins and dropped it once Dr. Michel's class opened a seat. Excellent class!! Excellent Professor!!!

I switched from Gulf Coast University just to take Dr. Michel's class. He has a reputation that is very highly respected in the Fort Myers Area.

Dr. Michel's class was a pleasure to take. You can probably do without buying the book, even though it was pretty informative. The quizzes were all very easy and right from the powerpoints. Lectures were short and informative and class exercises were a lot of fun. Dr. Michel will go out of his way to help you out. Take this class!

I had this wonderful Professor in the fall of 2009. Amazing class, with lots of great stories and loads of laughs. His teaching is very enjoyable and he really gets you caring about the subject. If you have to take this course, go to Dr. Michel!!

Excellent professor. Loves education, and is incredibly passionate about the career. If you are thinking about education as a career, his course will help in making that decision. He is very clear and honest about the career. His course doesn't rely too much, but you can get an older version of the book and save some money.

Awesome professor! He's very passionate about teaching, which only makes you want to be a teacher more. He's super friendly, easy going and always helpful. Definately one of my favorite teachers at Edison and anywhere else for that matter. I definately recommend him. He makes the Intro To The Teaching Profession very interesting.

This teacher uses alot of hands on group lessons. It was interesting and fun. Did not use the book very much so you might not need it if you can share with someone else.

Amazing teacher he cares about his students he makes learning fun he does hands on activities took him for a night class only meet once a week and i would look forward to his class there was never a boring moment he really makes you realize how amazing the education major is needed and that teachers do make a difference. He is the best teacher I have had at edison and I have had some great teachers. The class is easy but you learn a lot from him. He does a few powerpoints and you read the book which is so easy to understand I am actually keeping my book. I just wish he taught the other education classes. He does role play. Trust me take him.

This was a night class but the professor made it enjoyable. I found I didn't need to buy the book and used a copy in the library instead. Take this class if your considering becoming a teacher.

You can get away with using an earlier edition text book. I found the the 9th edition online and saved $$$. Class is interesting and the instructor is great.

Dr Michael was very helpful preparing me for my first teaching job interview . I had him as a teacher when he taught at night. It was a great class he's dedicated to teaching and cares about his students.

He is by far the best teacher I have ever had! Not only were the classes interesting and hands-on, but I Dr. Michel is hilarious and always has interesting stories and facts to say. I took this class and night and was afraid I would be too tired to pay attention but the class was engaging and time flew by. I would recommend this class to anybody.

Really easy teacher, just follow the power points and show up for class and you'll do absolutely fine.

Wonderful teacher!! I never studied for tests, just paid attenion in class which is VERY easy to do because he is funny and engaging & makes it interesting, just as a teacher should be. There is a paper and a lesson to teach but if you prepare, it's not hard. I would take ANY course he is teaching!

This was one of my favorite classes I have ever taken. He is very good with this class and as long as you come to class and pay attention, you will do great!!!

Funny professor interesting class

This was a fun class. I took it a few years ago and although I did not go into the teaching field I must say this class is worth taking.

This guy is great! super easy class, but you learn so much from him. He is an active high school principal, so it was really cool to learn from an educator still in the field today. I Highly suggest taking any of his classes, hes great!

Dr Michel is an amazing lecturer. He gives many personal experiences while lecturing that make you want to listen. Super passionate about the subject and breaks things down in simple, easy to follow powerpoint presentations. The only downside is that he doesn't keep the website updated with grades. Other than that I would take more of his classes.
