At first, I hated this guy . All he did was take pics, looked like a tourist. Castigated me for memorizing Monacha's formulas. However after going to his reviews till midnight for four straight nights, I realized he was a good professor after all.Goes out of his way to help you, really out of his way

Tom is EXTREMELY helpful. he offers SO much help to students, but they never seem to take him up on his offers to help. if you go to him for help you will get an A in the class. he is also a very interesting guy. before midterms and finals he will stay till 1 am to help students. he just wants to see everyone succeed.

I think he was always extremely very helpful, but lots of students just did not attend the recitations that the Math department offered and wanted to blame him for his/her bad grades. I even saw many students came to classes and did not pay attention on what the teacher was explaining, did not take note and always complain from any little things.

The teacher showed a command of difficult material and the ability to convey the concepts. He is dedicated to his students' success. I saw many in the class put in great efforts and make remarkable progress. He inspired me to work harder than I thought I ever could, and I am grateful for the challenge he presented and his help in meeting it.

you learn absolutely nothing in class. he just pulls out his laptop and drags a 100 page journal file, and skips through it. you get to write absolutely nothing. only way to pass is if you go to his 'review sessions' that are at ridiculous hours everyday. he doesn't understand that people don't have time to spend an extra 4-7 hours every night.

Tom is a great professor but requires his students to really sit down and work out examples thoroughly. He will give you a lot of notes that does take some time to understand but once you do spend that time, you will find it extremely thorough with many details. He always puts his students as the number priority, and holds review sessions for them.
