He is rude, arrogant, and useless. He doesn't value other students opinions and thinks he knows everything. He tries to sound all philosphical and it is annoying. Try to avoid his class, but if you take it with him just listen to Chris.

"Poor soul, the center of my sinful earth..." Crazy but VERY HOT Canadian teacher. I love the accent!!! He opened my eyes to the beautiful world that Shakespeare created in his works. He is the best and hardest working Lit teacher, besides Chris, at OCC. The field trips to Stratford, Ontario will be dearly missed.

I think he is a great teacher. In fact, he is probably one of the best teachers i've had. he takes the time to help students (if need be) which is, sadly, not as common as it should be. great man, great teacher. plus, he's a babe;)

Tom was the absolute best teacher I have ever had! He's funny and so down to earth. he has such a passion for teaching and it is truly an inspiration! Tom is a very passionate instructor, very easy to side track, but loves the language. If you want to better yourself as a person and command the written language; take this class. You must like Shakespeare to take the class though. Good luck.

Take the Noordhoorn/Pryor Shakespeare class!! You will gain so much! I went into it making fun of Shakespeare and left with so much respect. It really is easy and worth it. Download audio or video & read along, you'll have no prob passing!! Really, take this class, it transfers.

This was my first class back to college in about three years. I was hoping not to get some teacher that was boring and uneventful. Mr. Pryor is awesome! He is super funny and very interesting and I have learned a lot from him. I can?t wait to find out what other classes he is teaching next semester.

Good instructor for ENG 1520. Scared off by the library assignments and stopped going. Goes on "Dublin Time"- starts about 10 minutes after class starts. Easy to relate to, good 12:00 class. OK homework. Would have learned about Shakespeare and would have done other readings. Regret not finishing it, have a crappy pro. comm. class with Lamphear.

Professor, Why are you at OCC teaching? and part time at that. You deserve to be somewhere WAY better. Anywhere you go you will be HIGHLY appreciated. You kept my interest for 3 hours every week, and no-not just because your easy on the eyes. Thank you for making me read Shakespeare, and for appreciating it. This guy is the man! You will not find a more understanding instructor. He has a bloodthirst for what he teaches so you will be required to do a little work, but nothing that hard. Lax on due dates, and start times. Humerous, and very insightful.

This professor was very passionate about what he instructed. He kept my interest the entire time. Very nice guy and he understands people have other things besides homework to do so, he is easy on the due dates. He choose great stories to read and he was very enthusiastic while talking about them. And ladies he is eye candy.

Tom Pryor is the nicest, most understanding teacher I've had thus far in my school career. If you don't understand a piece of literature, he'll stay until you do. He knows a lot of pieces and he admits when he doesn't. Very down to earth! He makes due with the caliber of intelligence in the class and adapts to busy schedules. Love lit? TAKE HIM!!

Pryor loves teaching (esp. Comm. College) and it shows every class. He is very encouraging and a delight to be taught by. You NEED to take notes every week!! Also the guy makes you like Shakespeare - a power that few hold. Irish Time Forever!!

He's enthusiastic, funny, charming, in love with his subject, and really loves teaching. What more could you ask for? Had him for Brit Lit II, reading intensive, but he cut things out of the syllabus as we went. If I didn't like a piece before discussion, I usually left at least respecting it. Plus he has a cute accent.

Tom is patient with his students and enthusiastic about Literature. Appears to be very understanding. Do not expect emails returned w/in 24 hours, but he will get to it. Listen to his requirements about the research paper. It will impact your grade. Show up and participate every class and you should do well.

Mr Pryor is the best eng teacher at OCC. Its easy to tell that he loves what he does. He is so passionate about Shakespear which makes you actually like it, if you didnt before. If you did, he makes you love it more. Just an all around great teacher! I am taking his World Lit class in the fall. I dont need to but I liked his lectures that much!

Tom is AWESOME. Very passionate not only about his subject, but also about being a teacher. This guy is genuinely thrilled to be your teacher. He is outgoing and personable. Most nice teachers are pushovers. Tom is not. He does not sacrifice the quality of his teaching. Be prepared to work hard, but he is fanatical about helping you learn.

He is just super-duper. He's funny, passionate and true-hearted. An interesting mind to pick... I enjoyed him in Comp I & II, so I took him again for Brit. Lit. I love his instruction:) So captivating <3 Pryor Rules!! (And yes... Definitely easy on the eyes!)

Mr. Pryor is fantastic, he is fun, funny, and makes this class interesting. He has a laid back style that immediately puts you at ease. I truly had a fun time in his class. A lot of laughing and joking, but also learned a lot. I would highly recommend taking his class.

Tom is literally the greatest teacher I've ever had. He took a subject that I'm typically not interested in and made it a wonderful experience. Pryor is an awesome teacher. There’s a lot of reading, three short papers to be written throughout the semester. Overall loved the class and highly recommend.

I am very happy with this class, Tom helped me so much with my writing especially with MLA. I didn't like how we went over hamlet for 3 weeks but that's just Tom's style. He is very passionate about Lit and loves his job, I would recommend his class.

Very through and passionate teacher. The two weeks that we went over MLA formatting seemed a little long but he tried to make it more interesting. Very helpful, lets you turn in papers early for review and resubmit them for a better grade. Really loves when students participates and loves his job.

One of the best English teachers I have ever had. Really passionate about writing and lit. He eased us into the final paper and his insight was incredibly valuable. He'll grill you over MLA but makes it easy to understand and goes over it frequently.

Guys, I was so ready to fall in love w this prof. Sadly, I did not. I have always excelled in Eng classes. I have never struggled this much! He grades SO hard on essays. Be sure to show that u care&ask questions! He always helps. When he writes on the board, takes thorough notes&pay attention when he lectures about Hamlet. GREAT guy, tough class.

If you want to be successful in University then take Mr. Pryor. If not then be a dolt like the rest of the world. He will prepare you. He has real world experience and he is very smart. Don't be a fool.

Tom is such a kind and decent person let alone Professor. His passion for literature is awesome if you're into literature. He is super understanding and not about grade shaming or anything negative. He gives super great feedback on all your papers and he's really relaxed and chill. Great Professor. Take his class!! You'll love it.

The class meets twice a week, and you have PLENTY of time to have him review your papers. This class is basically give him your drafts and have him hand it back to redraft and fix everything to pass. There is a portfolio you MUST pass if you want to pass the class, but I passed it, its easy and I had writing issues in my life. Learned alot.

Tom is awesome. If you show up and listen there is no reason you cannot get an A. You can clearly tell he has a passion for what he does. I have no doubt I could have asked him for help at anytime. His lectures make you actually think about things rather than just writing down facts. Tom is a great guy, I would definitely recommend taking him.

Mr. Pryor is the best!!!! He's an amazing teacher and if you attend class its not hard to get a good grade. The major part of the class is writing the major research paper but he divides into steps which helps. He's a fair grader and he cares about his students! I highly recommend taking english with Mr. Pryor.

Will not take another english class at this campus without Tom. He gives assignment dates but knows we are kids (most of us) that have more than just a school life. Give feedback on papers and allows you to turn them in again and again until you like the grade.

Tom is one amazing professor. I am so grateful to had the opportunity to take him. He is really enthusiastic with the lectures and always has a good story to tell. In order to pass the class you must write a research paper. The research paper is done in step which makes the final paper a breeze. I am truly going to miss going to his class.

I took Tom for both comp 1 and 2 and I can honestly say that he changed my whole perspective on English. He is the best professor at OCC and as long as you show up for class and take notes the class is more than manageable. Tom is such and awesome guy and he will help you and give you as much guidance as you need to be successful.

What can i say of the time spent under the learning tree named Tom Pryor... The young man finds the writer lurking within you and draws them out. As long as you make it to class you're good he'll work with you. I helped me to like english and I'm a student that DESPISES ENGLISH!

Tom is truly a phenomenal professor. He really cares about his students and teaches very well. The class is interesting because he intertwines a bunch of different information in an easy to way understand. As long as you come to class, take notes, and work hard on (and finish) the final essay, the odds of getting an A is quite high.

Good class , hes not boring in lectures , I do wish tho he would remind us to work on that 10 pg paper that due at the end , u got to remind yourself , hes tough on grading on the essays, and wants it done a certain way , also hes not clear on assignments when given , like how he wants it done , but overall it was a good class , not too bad

Tom is a good guy and his class is fairly managable. He is very flexible on due dates, but sometimes it made me unproductive. Overall he is a very good professor in terms of teaching the material, but he does grade hard on papers which is a little disappointing. It is still a good class though.

he is all time the best teacher ever. I would totally have him again. He is always there for you if you need help and is very funny in class. He does not give out much homework and is very laid back about things and understands if you aren't able to do a homework sheet. Essays he gives lots of feedback and very helpful when it comes to organizing.

Professor Pryor was by far one of the best composition teachers I've had. His class was not difficult and while he graded harshly on papers he was also clear about his requirements. He gave a few exams, but if you attended lectures and studied, they were nothing that he didn't prepare you for. Pryor truly cares about his students.

Honestly, hands down one of the best professors I've had. He makes sure you know what you need to know for tests and goes over material quite thoroughly. He's is incredibly caring, as well. Pryror is going to be one of those professors you remember your entire life - he wants you to succeed and will do his best to help you.

This guy cares not only about content, but also about you! A little goofy but overall a great teacher. There are several papers in this section, but he understands life happens so he is flexible on due dates! Is more than willing to talk to you about any questions you may have! By far one of the best professors Ive ever had!

The class is not too bad but Tom has strong opinions, so just go with it. The main thing I like is he doesnt fail anyone.

I don't even like English, but somehow he got me to enjoy it. He really has a lot of knowledge. It's always entertaining to hear his stories and watch him teach. He truly loves what he does and cares about his students. I can't imagine taking another English class without him. You won't regret it.

Professor Pryor was by far the most easy class I ever took for comp 2. His assignments were not always clear however he barley gives out any work and is not much of a strict grader. Highly recommended.

I had Tom 20 years ago for Shakespeare. I have forgotten most of my professors, but never him. 10/10 would recommend him to anyone. I love what I got from him, both in class and outside of class. He shared tidbits about literature that I *still* kick around. Absolutely loved him.

He seems like a nice guy who genuinely cares about his students. Would've liked a bit more explanation and directions to the essays that were assigned. Overall, would recommend.

Still have a couple weeks left, but I haven't really met him since I'm taking the class asynchronously. He gives good feedback, and is a very laid back professor. As someone who has a lot on their plate, take him if you need an easy but good English class to take

Professir Tom Pryor was very professional and reasonable as a teacher. He made his requirements known and expected nothing less. He offered feedback and suggested ways to improve your writing. Overall great professor.

Tom is awesome. His lectures are very informative, and also really funny. I looked for any other classes he taught because I wanted to take him again. His feedback was also really great. I was able to improve my writing with his help I'd say. Plus he gave plenty of time to get assignments done.

Was way too easy. That's my only complaint. I signed on maybe once a week and completed the assignment with no sweat, and got high marks for it. If you struggle in English, he's super easy to reach out and talk with and explains well. The readings are no more than a few pages, and the questions aren't difficult.

I took composition 1 online. Tom had me laughing at his lectures constantly. Super easy course, 10/10 would take any course he had!

'Teacher Tom' is awesome! He gave great feedback on essays, had clear expectations, and gave thorough instructions. His weekly online videos are long, but funny if you can get through them without falling asleep. He is quirky and interesting and cares for his students' success. He is a fair grader with clear expectations. I loved this class!

Professor Pryor was the best professor in my 2 years attending Oakland Community College. Coming from someone who attended 4 out of the 5 campuses. He previously taught colleges in Canada, (his hometown) Ireland, (private university) and Michigan (OCC). He is genuinely caring, and the lectures are humorous as they are informative. Easy A+

Teacher Tom is the best. Pre-recorded lectures are great; gives clear direction on assignments, goes over each reading & gives insight as to what they mean. He provides excellent feedback; letting you know what you are doing well & what can be improved upon or errors. I really respect him, he is a really great professor.
