Dr. Swain was the best lab instructor that there is. He is extremely helpful. If you show that you are trying he will do what ever he can to help. Before my practical?s I would go to lab and he would spend as much time as I had to help me remember and understand the material.I passed with a B+. I would take him with every class if I could.

Dr. Swain is a good lab instructor and will spend one on one time with you in lab to make sure that you know and understand what you are supposed to before the lab practicals. He cares about all his students and will set you up to make a good grade if you study. Highly recommended!

Dr swain is the best lab teacher! He makes everything easy to understand, and gives oral tests so that way if you get stuck he just helps you along and gives you hints. Extremely nice and a funny guy, I took him for anatomy 1 and 2 lab, very cool guy!

I had Dr. Swain for BIO lab and he is awesome. He knows his stuff and takes as much time as needed to make sure you know it. He helped me a great deal with the lecture part of class and I only had him for lab. If you have to take BIO I or II, TAKE HIM!!!

Extremely cool and laid back guy. He provides you with all the info you need for tests and quizzes, and then some. Be prepared to study and stay for the whole lab, or else he'll get mad. If you actually want to learn something in the class and not just get a grade to move on, take his class. I still miss him! He loves cookies, by the way.. :)

I am a duel enrolled student and Dr. Swane was my first professor! I absolutely loved his class! He is caring and passionate about his subject. He makes sure that you actually learn the material. He is ALWAYS available and ready to help. He will push you to reach your full potential and will not take "I don't know" as an answer.

Dr. Swain is the best proffesor I ever had he is helpfull and the test come directly from the information he gives in lecture. As long as you are willing to try you will do well. Helpfull hint he loves baked goods expecially Apple pie but it wont help your grade.

Dr Swain is amazing, if you really want to learn the material and not just pass then this is the instructor for you. Swain really knows his stuff and doesn't just read power points or a book. He is passionate about the material and will make sure students understand.

Dr. Swain is very knowledgeable and helpful he's a great professor , you take him seriously and he'll take you seriously, its not an easy class so you do have to do the work he tells you to do.

Great professor but be prepared to work your butt off in this class. You will get out what you put in, also his sense of humor takes a little getting used to.

Take this guy he is awsome, if you are willing to put forth the effort you do well. The test come from lecture so take good notes, and sont be afraid to ask questions.

Tough class, tough professor. Listen to his lectures. DON"T BUY DSC Book. Parts and pieces haven't changed in a long time and ANY anatomy book will do and he is very righteous about it. Buy any used book for $20 it will do, the rest from lecture. Sit in the front because he can mumble. No easy way to do this class but he is a great guy

Professor Swain is a wonderful teacher and he is very hard, but he wants you to learn the material. I would take him again if I had to..

If you study the notes and listen in class, attend labs you will do fine. Not Stamatis but he is good.

Great instructor, hard material but he made it interesting. This guy really seems to care about the subject. If you have to take this class take it with him.

Took him for AP 1 and 2 and he is the best. He only gives you the information that is on the test. He also does what he can to make sure you pass the course.

I took Dr. Swain for a condensed summer course. Not an easy subject to start with, but he really, really cared that everyone understood the material. He will put you on the spot, and ask questions from you during lecture, which most people dislike - BUT - my entire class (that stuck it out) passed. Wish I could of taken him for 1086.

Dr. Swain is brilliant, hilarious, and awesome. At times he struggles to dumb it down a bit, but he doesn't make you feel like a moron in the process. There are PLENTY of opportunities to do well in the class (not just pass it) between extra credit, board posts, etc. I took this class 1/2&1/2 meeting only once a week. Whatever you do, don't skip!!

The most entertaining class I have ever had. I never knew how little I knew about my own body. Dr Swain will win you over with his charm and humor just don't show up late or talk/text during lecture. This is a hard class but he makes it fun, I will miss him.

Dr. Swain is a brilliant man, very knowledgeable in the field and makes learning about these things interesting. I very much enjoyed his teaching method, lets be honest, this is not the easiest material, and neither is the class. You will need to study for his tests, he is not a test-easy professor at all, no extra credit either.

Dr. Swain is relaxed and I love his teaching methods. Matt and John will be your best friends in the ASC. Use them to your advantage!!! Tons of info in a short period of time. Take notes pay attention don't miss a class!!! Sit as close to the front as possible ;)

Great Instructor. His methods are difficult to understand if you do not pay attention and put in the effort. He will help you in any way possible. If you are taking A&P just because it is one of your prerequisites and just want to earn and don't care to learn, then do not take his class and you also might want to consider another profession besides the healthcare field. That is what is wrong with healthcare today. There are not enough professors like Dr. Swain to make it challenging enough.

Great professor! Makes you use your head for something besides a hat rack. I loved the focus on critical thinking. Take his class and you'll KNOW what you're supposed to know.

Overall the best anatomy teacher. Very helpful and really cares about his students. If you study the material then you shouldn't have any problems passing his test. I would recommend him for AP 1 & 2.

Dr. Swain knows anything about everything. Literally. He will be patient and answer questions you have. Focuses a lot on critical thinking, which is great for the medical field. Will review over previous day lectures too.Can be a challenging class, but if you follow his study techniques and come to class you will have no problem. He makes A&P FUN!!

Love Dr. Swain! He's super smart and helpful. Willing to go out of his way for his students. His tests are straight from his lecture. This man knows EVERYTHING! Would strongly recommend taking him for AP1 and AP2

Even though, this class was an online class, it provided me with un foreseen knowledge of the subject material, Human Biology. Doctor Swain responded to students and addressed their concerns in a timely manner, which shows he cared about the passing, learning techniques, of his students.

Doctor Swain is the best professor I've ever had. Very knowledgeable. Willing to answer ANY question. Don't really use book in class. Very helpful to me for supplemental reading. Best prof for AP1 & AP2. 7-week accelerated course was fun and challenging.

Good teacher. Expects his students to ask questions if they are stumped. Then he is thorough in explaining what is not understood. Does his best to help you succeed!

If you want a teacher who really knows his stuff, you go with Dr. Swain. You really gotta try, but if you do, you will succeed. Probably best and hardest class I've taken. He helps you out as much as possible, jokes around with you, and is all around a good guy. Great experience, and will always have good memories from the class!

The best professor I have had. Funny and keeps the class interesting and entertaining. I would highly recommend this professor for any class he teaches at the college. You will work for your grade but he will help you any way he can. If you want to learn in his class you will.

Dr Swain may be my favorite teacher on the DSC campus. He is a great teacher and could benefit every anatomy student immensely. Online outsourcing of course work kind of ruins this, but if you can get lab with him as well, you will be on your way to a successful semester of anatomy, filled with lots of information and practical application.

I can honestly say I wouldn't have gotten an A without this man's help. This class isn't easy but he tells you exactly what you need to be familiar with to make an A. The lab practicals were still challenging despite my rigorous studying. He is a character and will bust your chops and make you laugh, but he is very intelligent and professional.

Dr. Swain is a very good professor, he lectures very well and tests are not overly difficult. He genuinely cares about you, but expects you to be respectful, caring, hard working, and prepared.

Mr. Swain was a great teacher! There was a lot of homework and quizzes but they were all done on McGraw Hill so it was easy to find the correct answers and get good grades. I really enjoyed his class, highly recommended!

This is a Hybrid class, Online and 2 times per week in New Smirna campus (Lab). The best teacher I ever had. Caring, professional and sensitive. He is not rude in all but be preared to pay attention and don't waste time if you want to learn. I love his class. I don't care drive 1 hour from my home, It's a real pleasure attend this class.

Dr. Swain is a pro at pounding a lot of information into your brain in a short amount of time. Pay attention, show up prepared, study your butt off, and you'll be fine. A&P is not supposed to be easy.

I had the best experience taking Mr. Swains class. Learned a lot because of hands on classes with dissections and pronunciation of words. I even Drove to NSB for his classes and took both A&P1 and A&P2.

Dr. Swain and Dr. Thorson (his lab instructor) have been some of my favorite professors throughout all of college. If you show you care, they are more than willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you succeed. They make class interesting and fun while learning a lot at the same time.

Dr. Swain is an awesome professor! I was nervous going into AP 1 because I hadnt had a Science class since HS and Im in my 30s. His way of teaching made it so much easier to learn than I thought. I took his hybrid class, 1/2 lecture is online (other part in class) and lab in person. Best decision ever, already signed up for AP 2.

Dr. Swain was an amazing professor. He definitely cares about his students and works with you to help you succeed. His guidelines and expectations were very clear. Expect to study for practicals and such because it isn't just an easy A, but it is an amazing course as long as you have the right professor.

Dr. Swain is very, very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations. You will need the textbook and the online access code for the homework assignments. You study the material, present it on a powerpoint, and are graded on how well you present the material (It's how he knows you learned it.) He is very sarcastic, but it's worth it.

He is very respected and you can learn a lot from him. I put so much effort into A and P 1 and 2 (I took him for both) because I knew it would be such a hard class. It IS hard but if you study and keep up you will learn from him and do well. I highly recommend. You will have to study in any anatomy class, but he is always willing to help as well

I took Prof. Swains online A&P II lecture course, basically you read and complete quizzes and test inline through McGraw Hill. He responded when you submitted a question. You must read a lot, but he highlighted the most important data in each section. Do not procrastinate or your grade will suffer.

I took this online so I didn't interact with him personally but class was easy. I took it excelled I wouldn't recommend it but still wasn't terrible.

It is really easy everything except the 2 short essays are on McGrawHill. If you take it for the half semester then of course everything will move more quickly. The homework is a easy A if you just do it. Some things can be time consuming so be prepared for that.
