Labor Economics, basically extended Micro with NO CALCULUS. Nice class, lots of theory. Very helpful, tests pretty reasonable.

Tolin is an awesome teacher. he tells u how it is, everything on the board is on the test, don't bother reading the book. i would recommend anyone take him, its a fun class!

Probably the best professor at WCU, and after 110 credits-me thinks i would know good from bad. Class time is always upbeat and fun to learn. Tests are right off the board

This is one decent human being -- genuine. Course was well taught -- has to be it's economics; he made kids want to do well, because he's so nice.

I loved him. Don't buy the book. just take notes and study them. nothing from the book is on the test. he is a great teacher, very helpful, flexible, explains a boring subject in an entertaining way! TAKE HIM!!!

It is only half way through the semester and I think he is the best teacher I've ever had. He makes you want to learn the boring material that you're studying; he's funny and brings a fun about learning to the classroom. I wish he taught all my classes!

Tom is the best teacher i ever had at wcu, DO NOT buy his book, he never uses it. His test are complicated and u really have to know the material, but he is so easy to talk to if u need help and he makes u want to learn, Def. take him for classes.

HE is a really good teacher. GOes over everything. Will not let things be unclear. Can ak him anything and he will disect it for you.

This class is difficult in general. However, Dr. Tolin is the man and very helpful. He uses good examples and definetely cares about his students. Take him over any other Eco teacher. Good lcuk though b/c eco is so hard.

i LOOOVVEEE this professor!! I took him for micro and now for history of economic thought, which he actually makes the whole class enjoy. His tests are difficult but they are fair, and if you put enough time into it you will do fine. TAKE HIM!!!!

He was a very good prof...one of the best. That is not to say that everything was easy but he is very approachable and fair. take him as much as you can.

Dr. Tolin is an incredible professor. He has very difficult exams, but his classes are great. If you want to learn a lot n a great enviroment than his class is for you. I take his class as often as possible.

He is a great professor, explains concepts very well and as long as you pay attention in class you should do well on his tests. I am taking him again for stats and looking forward to it. Great prof.!

micro is a hard class but tolin does a good job at teaching.. homework helps you out on the tests.. test are hard (material covering is hard)but if you study you should do fine.. gives some extra credit! good professor!

Great Professor! He makes the material a little easier to understand. He doesnt use the book, so you must go to class and take notes. Also, he expects you to learn the material, so you cant just sit back.

Prof. Tolin did his best to make econ interesting. granted the topic is bland but it wasn't so bad in his class. easy a if you do the work and pay attention. i definitely recomend him.

He's a okay teacher but I didn't like his personality much. Lame pretty much all around, jokes, market examples, wardrobe...yeah, his wife dresses him apparently. Always slips politics in there and reminds you that you're "paying for his service." Anal on attendence, hard tests, interrupts you. Andrews isn't better. Just avoid micro completely

Dr. Tolin is one of West Chester's best. In his class, I found myself interested in economics even though I had little interest in the subject before. His delightfully lame jokes made his class fun and interesting. Good guy with a great personality. Take him if there's an open spot!

The best teacher at wcu. Wants you to learn, hands down the best, tries to make a boring subject intresting at 9am! its a tough course but he is the best teacher. go to his office hours and he will answer any/all questions you have. Defintly take tolin, he is awesome. He remembers everyones name!

Great teacher! Great personality! If you have any questions about the study guides go to his office and he will help you! The class is very easy. If you don't study the study guides you will not pass the exams.

Best teacher I've had, I didn't buy the book and passed without any trouble. Very clear in his teaching, if you are willing to study you shouldn't have any trouble. He gives out plenty of bonus points so make sure you're at class.

Professor Tolin is an incredibly nice guy. He is always telling terrible jokes, but they're still funny. He always seems to have chalk dust all over his butt, i don't know how he manages to get it there. Anyway, the material is hard to understand, he takes plagiarism very seriously so dont be stupid. He's helpful though, you can excel with effort.

Professor Tolin is a really really nice guy. Didn't mind showing up to class most of the time. If you want to pass this class all you have to do is take great notes. Study the study guides hard. Notes and the Study guides ARE THE ENTIRE CLASS!!!!

HE WAS A REALLY GREAT PROFESSOR WHO KNEW WHAT HE WAS TEACHING. HIS TESTS ARENT THAT EASY BUT IF YOU STUDY YOU SHOULD DO FINE. I REGRET BUYING THE TEXTBOOK BECAUSE ALL THE MATERIAL THAT WE WERE TESTED ON WAS FROM NOTES! HE'S A KIND GUY CURVED MT GRADE AND EVERYTHING...BUT I DONT RECCOMEND BUYING THE TEXTBOOK FOR CLASS IT'LL JUST BE A WASTE OF MONEY!

Tolin was great. Helpful when asked questions and upfront about what material was important for tests. No need to buy the book but attendance and good notes are a must to do well. My favorite prof. at WCU so far.

He is an awesome teacher! Econ is not the easiest to understand...and he knows, so he tries to explain it as easily as possible. Test comes directly from notes and study guide, but they are difficult so you definitely need to study a whoolleee lot.

Tom Tolin is such an enthusiastic teacher. He is such an approachable guy that wants his students to not only listen to what he teaches, but actually learn and understand it. The material itself is pretty hard, but he makes it easy as possible. He loves to joke around in class to keep the students awake and interested. Take him!

I took tolin for micro as well as eco251. He is awesome and very helpful. Go to class, take notes, and you will definitely pass! Also you will need the book for eco 251.

Tom Tolin is the man. He's very approachable and is always willing to help with any of the material. Always cracking jokes and he makes you want to do well in is class. Lectures can get a little boring from time to time but if you put in the effort it should be a fairly easy class.

Honestly my favorite teacher at WC. He is extremely funny, nice, and helpful. He makes the material actually pretty interesting. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Go to class and study your notes (he gives great notes) and you'll do fine. Tolin is awesome!

Amazing professor. He WANTS you to understand. He was so willing to stay after class, meet me during office hours, or schedule an appointment. He even went through all of the notes with me point by point until I really understood. A truly nice guy and great mentor.

First time teaching this class. Very smart and informative professor, learned a lot. No tests, but a large project, multiple homeworks and a presentation final. One of the best professors for ECO majors and highly recommended.

Professor Tolin was an excellant teacher for microeconomics. I knew nothing beforrhand and he taught in a way that I received an A. I would and have recommended him to anyone.

Very helpful and uses clear examples within his teaching. I would definitely recommend him, especially to anybody who is planning on taking microeconomics.

Enjoyed class with this professor, he's easy to understand and goes over the material until you understand it, using real examples. Loved the way the class was organized, everything flowed nicely. Quizzes are the easiest you can imagine. No homework, but tests can be hard if you're not well prepared. Would definitely recommend.

Great, teacher. Wants every student to succeed. Great lectures that will keep you focused. Not a big fan of Economics as a whole, but learned things I will be able to use later in life. If you take notes and study regularly, there is no way you can't get at least a B.

Professor Tolin is a very great teacher and very knowledgeable about the topics. He is very history based and his test were all essays that I wrote around 6-8 pages for each. His lectures are great but the class was still difficult (ECO 345). He graded our research papers like an English class. I feel he made the class harder than it needed to be.

Pretty easy class. Dr. Tom is very good at teaching a really boring subject. Always has a stupid joke, the guy is hilarious. Also very forgetful and lazy. Takes way too long to grade. Overall great guy though, easy A.

Professor Tolin is one of the best professors I have had in my 2 years at WCU. For those who don't understand math well he explains concepts very clearly and is always willing to help. Tests are straightforward and if you were paying attention in class you will do well. Homework was MyStatLab which he would help with and give you completion credit.

Professor Tolin is a really nice guy who genuinely wants you to do well in his class. I actually find business stat pretty easy to understand because he is really good at teaching the material! He creates his own lectures and does examples from the book in class. My stat lab homework online every week, but as long as you attempt it you get credit.

Tolin is the best eco professor I've had. He takes time to know each of his students individually and knows how you're doing in the class, which is so helpful when it comes to feedback. He will layout everything that will be on the exam.. If you take notes, study definitions, you WILL pass. He is a great guy and super funny which makes class a 10.

definitely dont need the book but also he is a great teacher just show up to class and study for all the vocab quizes he is really entertaining and makes long classes easy to pay attention to

Mr. Tolin was a very nice and helpful teacher. Lectures were very long, and the subject covered was very difficult. He is always willing to help, and cares about the students a lot. It is almost impossible to do well if you don't go to class. The tests make up 75% of the grade, but he gives out a study guide before hand! Hard class but good teacher

Overall good professor. Take some time to go to his office hours, he is someone easy to talk with and will make sure you understand the material. Pay attention, go to class, and actually care the slightest amount about econ, and you will have no trouble passing. I learned most of the material from his lectures .

I love Dr. Tolin!! I had him for principles as well. I made sure to sit in the first row -dead center- because the notes are crucial if you want an A. He does not grade attendance but you have to attend if you want to do well. He's hilarious, cute, and helpful. I would take him again in a heart beat. p.s. become one with the study guides.

This guy is obviously experienced and I always found his lectures more polished than some of my other teachers' that were taught with notes (he doesn't usually have notes). I visited him twice outside of class and he was more than helpful. He tells stories sometimes but is very conscious of time. Tests aren't too easy, need to study.

He's a great econ teacher, he really knows what he is talking about. You don't have to go to class if you don't want to, he won't dock your grade. But, none of his notes are online and he covers a lot in one lecture I wouldn't recommend you doing that. Gives weekly vocab quizes which are easy if you make note cards.

He's honestly one of the hardest teachers I've taken at West Chester so far. If you like econ (or have a background in it) then I would take him. But if you aren't strong in this field stay away.

Tolin's number one goal in teaching is student success. He does everything that he can to make sure that students understand the material in preparation for the exams, and his dedication to this class really shows. No, this isn't the easiest class you will take, but I can guarantee that you will learn more from his class than most professors.

He is a great professor. He seems to really care about his students. If you are not super strong in economics I suggest you take him. I will warn you he will make you work for a good grade but you will not find many professors who will teach you the material as well as he will. Those who have an interest in learning subject should jump to take him.

Just an all-around fantastic guy. He really knows how to lead a classroom. Tolin knows when to crack jokes and when to be serious. He gives very easy vocab quizzes and Excel projects to help boost your grade. Study consistently and you'll get an A. Nothing but praise for Prof. Tolin.

great professor! if you're a good student you'll do great in this class. instead of boring lecture slides he writes notes on a white board which makes them easy to follow&understand. need to study to do well but study guides mirror exams so there's no confusion! sweet guy; if you need a micro class take him!

i loved this class& i took him at 8am. he's such a caring professor and is very clear explaining the material. notes are easy to take because he writes exactly what you need on the board. one-word vocab quiz each week to help you learn the material and boost your grade! put in time to study the study guides and you'll do great! 1 of my fav prof!

Greatest microeconomics professor to walk the earth. He truly cares about his students' success and wants them to do well. Notes are easy and there's only two excel projects which are pretty simple. Would take for any course. If you need help his office hours are the move. Overall my favorite professor of this year
