Honestly, the class was somewhat tricky but if you do the assignments and get the work done it's a pretty easy class. I'd focus on essays most because they were the main contributors to my grade. Get the work done on time, write good paragraphs, and don't skip any assignments. Expect not to get 100% on every assignment. 7.5/10 professor

The workload is ridiculous. Very nit-picky on discussion boards. If you make one mistake whether it be spelling or MLA Format, he marks you down. You are graded by few things. I enjoy history, but he made it a terrible experience. His tests have unrelated math questions and make questions that ask your opinion but it has to align with HIS opinion.

This History course will expect you to have already taken it before. This class is not actually taught by the teacher but more just proctored by the teacher. Your discussion posts are not discussion posts but essays. You don't have reading material just blank mp3 files and 4th grade level powerpoints. Maybe he's better in person, skip this course.

Taking Prof. Stanek's course has given me mixed feelings. Starting off positive, if you put your full effort in, you will improve a lot. However, you have to be in good health. I got a concussion and was unconscious for 3 days and after telling him and giving him a doctors note, all he said was "turn it in by the due date" which was the next day.

This course really put me through it. I was stressed throughout the whole course. The weekly discussions aren't even discussions, more like essays. Then he took a long time to put in grades, but had no problem going back to regrade work and give them a zero. For your sanity, don't take this class with Dr. Stanek.

Every single essay and writing prompt are on the evils of America. Almost every paper you have to read for the class is written by hard left liberals or communists. My advice if you get him as a teacher is lie. He will penalize for different viewpoints. You will learn no history here only handpicked "facts" on why every founding father is racist.

This professor lets his political views influence grading. I lost points for not agreeing that America is racist. My work was well-researched, but disagreement with his opinion cost me my grade. Students deserve fair, unbiased evaluation based on evidence, not ideology.

Get a diff prof for this course. Discussions might as well be papers, 5 paragraphs for a simple discussion? Any minor mistakes on Papers, it is a HUGE deduction. Topics are on the worst events of American History but elaborate on why America is horrible you'll get a bad grade. That should tell you everything as to why he would be upset about that.

This professor only has essays and discussions but the discussions are essays as well for a 8 week course there was 16 essays. I dropped because I did my work and got accused of using AI when I did all the work myself. Would 10/10 never take this professor..

I wish I had dropped out before the deadline. You'll have to write two essays every week and basically learn "history" on your own.

He doesn't make any quizzes. This class is for people who enjoy reading and writing. Entirety of term consists of discussion posts and chapter essays. Slightly a tough grader, likes to have a specific format and has to meet certain criteria. Overall loved this course! He does require the book but he provides the PDF files, helps out ALOT!
