Take her and Gina DiPaula if your interested in journalism. They totally rock
Mrs. Albertson as a teacher is the greatest she has a lot of patience! and what you learn from her and in her class is priceless. you adopt a family in Journalism. She is also very hot!LOL

A Savior to the journalism program! She's helpful, articulate, interesting and a mother (honestly). Excellent!
yay! toni! she's an angel. everything is so much smoother on the newspaper staff. she's contructive and productive and always encouraging. we've gotten so much done on the staff, it makes it a pleasure to photograph for the paper. oh toni, thank you!
Great teacher. Really knows how to motivate students and staff. Organized, dedicated and professional. Her only drawback is she goes on tangents sometimes with students she feels the most comfortable with.
Simply the best teacher ever.
Professor Albertson has shown me that public relations is the career for me. I had her for journalism and loved it and now I'm loving PR. She knows the field and her teaching style is energetic and inspiring. She is the best teacher I've ever had.
She's just fantastic, tells everybody when you did something extraordinary. A human being all the way down!
Toni is the best professor I've ever had. I've worked on a newspaper staff at another community college and left due to the lack of organization. I heard that Toni was different so I joined the staff. She is the nicest and most passionate teacher I've ever had. She treats people with respect and never gives up on them. I love he and the class.
I wasn't going to continue on with journalism but I kept hearing how great Professor Albertson was. I am now enrolled in her class and everything I heard is true. She is a wonderful teacher who will do anything to make sure you succeed in her class. She is patient, kind and interesting.
Love, love, love this teacher. Never thought college could be fun till now!
Good teacher. Knows the field and takes time with you if you don't understand. Makes the class interesting.
Great teacher.
Really knows her stuff. I've learned more in this class than I have in the past other journalism classes. She really cares and never makes you feel stupid.
If you are interested in magazines, take this class. You learn everything about the magazine business and get to publish a magazine that looks like one of the kind you would find in a news stand. Professor Albertson knows all about the business and is very patient with you, even if you don't know anything. She gives you lots of help with writing.
Love this teacher and the newspaper staff. She made me a believer!
Where do i start. Took this class after it was suggested by a friend. Had no interest in most of the courses I'd already taken. This teacher is awesome. Thanks to her, I found my calling. She is the most passionate teacher on the planet. Take her if you want to learn about magazines and life. She's the best.
Mrs Albertson is a very enthusiastic Professor as well as manipulative. She's good at accomplishing her goals and using others to achieve them.
Bottom line on Toni- Kind, caring, role model, smart, funny, experienced, motivating...and will help you succeed, not put you down.
The class is set up in a way that you get to work on a real magazine staff. You learn writing skills, if you are a writer, and business skills, if you want to go into the magazine business. Toni expects a lot from you but you get a lot in return.
I could cry about this. Thought I sucked. Toni showed me that I can write. If you want to do journalism, take this teacher!!!
She's great. Took her last semester to photograph for the newspaper. She's a smart person who knows what she's talking about. Lots of patience.
Toni is a very nice person and interesting. She makes you understand what you need to do to make it in the journalism field. No tests, just in class writing and work for the magazine. Magazine in the end looks like a professional one.
There is a god and her name is Toni Albertson.
This is one of the best instructors on campus. She is smart and caring and goes out of her way to help you. She knows a lot about journalism and everything going on in the media. I wasnt sure if I wanted to do journalism but after taking Professor Albertson I'm excited. The class is interesting and she really helps you become a good writer.
The best professor I've ever had.
I can't help it, but I just hate 101. Too much emphasis on AP style!!!
Nice and funny. Love the class. She is a very caring teacher and wants you to suceed and goes out of her way to do that.
Toni is amazing! Toni really takes the time to develop her students. If you are unsure or afraid about reporting controversial but relevant issues, Toni is there to make sure that you pursue your passion while maintaining ethical integrity. Take her class, you won't be sorry- Very special professor/ person.
I took Newspaper & Mag production. You never go to class, only once or twice a month on production days. You don't learn, you must already know. She expects you to revolve your life around the class. Production days all the editors are last min with their material and page designers can't get their jobs done.
Toni goes out of her way to help you pass her class. I had a hard time understanding the news writing style but she spent extra time working with me until I understood it. She's a knowledgable teacher who cares about her students.
I took the production class and Professor Albertson taught me how to set up a blog and build it. This has been the best experience for me and has made me realize that I have some skills I didn't know I had. She's a real motivating person.
Was about to give up on journalism and change majors. Toni brought me back with her support and tutoring. She is one of the best professors at Mt. Sac. If you want be a journalist, see Toni. She will show you the way.
Best teacher at Mt. SAC. Tried taking this class at Citrus. Sucked. She is clear, kind, smart and works hard to make you succeed.
A great instructor. Won't let you fail. Tutored me until I understood it.
She is the greatest.
She is ok.. she really doesnt care what you do... not grat but not too bad proffesor Just ok
LOVE HER. FUNNY. NICE. YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP TO CLASS BUT IF YOU DO YOU AND DO YOUR WORK ON TIME, YOU WILL DO WELL IN HER CLASS.
Awesome lady.
She expects a lot out of you, but will help you every step of the way as long as you ask. Toni is a professor that wants you to succeed.
Not as easy of class as it seems. Lots of down time, but requires serious work come end of semester. Toni is there to help, but terms and amount of work required makes things tricky. Unless you really are interested in PR, suggest skipping this class altogether.
This was a learning experience for me. I started not knowing how to write in news style but ended the course understanding it well. Toni gives so much of her time to help you learn. She tutored me and never made me feel like I couldn't master this style. She really is one of the best professors at SAC.
Love the class, love the editors and Iove Toni. If you want to do something real then take this class. I had Toni for 101 and she's an angel. Will teach you things you didn't know you could do. Magazine is something to be proud of thanks to her and the editors.
Great class. Great professor.
I have taken every class that Toni teaches and every one was great. She is a wonderful teacher and a kind person. I am moving on to Cal State Fullerton and I can honestly say it wouldn't have happened without her guidance. She is just awesome in every way.
Took her class in the summer. Tried taking it once from another teacher and dropped. She will not let you fail and really goes out of her way to help you. I learned a lot from her.
Incredibly nice lady. Her real appeal is that she is the easiest grader on campus.
You better really want to write if you take this course. She used to own a magazine and expects you to write like a professional. You will never get your stories in the magazine unless you write like a pro so be prepared to do a lot of multimedia if you can't write. Her expectation are to high for a community college.
Great class. Great teacher.
Loved the magazine. If you show up and have an interest, she will work with you. She doesn't have alot of patience for slackers. Expects you to be professional and do your work. Very passionate teacher.
Had Toni for the news writing classes and now taking the newspaper staff class. She's a very inspiring professor. It's the second week and we are already doing some different things that you would never find in a typical course on campus. I love her.
Very easy when it comes to attendance, grading, and will work with you on late assignments if you have a good reason.
Very helpful. Great class.
Had her for the magazine and was annoyed that she expects you to live and breathe for the magazine. Gave her another chance this semester and really like her. She has lots of background in the field and is helpful and knowlegable. Dont let the "rocker chick" attitude fool you. She really knows her stuff and just wants you to make it.
Only take this class if you want to major in journalism or a related field. News writing is not for the creative writer. Lots of focus on AP style and the news writing style.
Have had this professor for newswriting and the magazine. She is awesome and knowlegable of the courses she teaches. She lets you blog and I learned how to track my visitors which is something I never knew how to do. Very good person too.
Lots of emphasis on news writing and AP Style but she engages the class in interesting discussion about the media business. A midterm and final and some stories but gives time to write drafts and lab time and allows extra credit.
Learned so much. She's honest and funny, and gets you to understand journalism without making you hate it. The writing format is different but you will learn how to do it. She makes sure you get it before you finish the class.
Read directly off the slides the days she lectured but explained the material a little deeper, though very quickly. Available for tutoring. Helps if she knows you a little because it seemed she grades easier if she does. Spent too much time in tangents and making a big deal over little issues, like student's personal issues and grievances.
Took the class because it was open. Wasnt interested in journalism. Left the class wanting to take more classes in the subject. She is a very interesting lady, Great story teller and fun class.
Nice lady, but very unstructured way of teaching. Can be disorganized and goes off on alot of tangents. Never returns papers. Says she won't take late work and won't take any excuses, but she always, always, always does.
Learned so much in the class. She gives you a chance to get better and is always there to tutor you oneonone. Inspired me to do better even though i wanted to quit. I l know how to write news and stories and how to blog. She is the best.
Toni is the best professor on campus. She worked in public relations for years and she knows the field. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do journalism or public relations and now Iknow. The class is real world with real clients and you learn how to do everything. No formal tests. All in class assignments and a final project.
She's great.
Learning a new style of writing that is different from my English classes. She goes slow with the class so noone is left behind. Assignments are not bad since we do them in class. Very patient and good lectures.
She's fantastic, funny and knows everything about media.
I love, love, love Toni. She's not only the best professor I've ever had, but a good friend as well. She is kind, patient and understanding. She's all about the journalism department and doing new and innovative things. You'll definitely learn what it takes to make it in today's media industry.
He zealousness and ambitious endeavors are far stretched to the point of absurdity and everyone knows this. She expects her students to be the best, without TEACHING them HOW to be the best. She bites more than she can chew, and confuses everyone in the process. She always seems preoccupied and stressed out. Her class is like a social gathering.
Toni is a great professor. She is always willing to tutor her students and help them outside class hours as well. She's had experience in the industry so its great to learn from her.
Toni is a fantastic professor. I learned so much. She is helpful and inspiring.
The news writing class is a good one. The lectures are interesting and the style is kinda basic, but it's given to the class in a way we can understand. Toni and her assistant Jessica have helped me to write better. Toni has made me look at journalism in a different way. She's positive about media jobs and focuses her lectures on new ways to report
Really doesn't teach. If you want to actually learn about journalism and not just be in a social group. She's incredibly disorganized and appears to desperately want to be liked by all. Although she's nice and somewhat funny, I would not recommend if you actually want to learn.
Professor Albertson is one of the few professors on this campus that cares about her students and will go the extra mile to make sure they succeed. In the short time I've known her I've learned more about media and the business of journalism than I expected to learn at a community college. Her lectures are interesting. Best professor at Mt. SAC.
She is a great. Work was pretty manageable. Writing assignments a midterm and final. Deadlines are important, but this is a Journalism class. Lets you do rewrites and has a tutor in class who gives good edits and tells you how to fix everything. Overall, a great teacher who cares but expects you to meet deadlines. Learned a lot about social media.
Extremely funny. I love going to class. She loves journalism and will make you love it too. Class is a lab so not a lot of structure but she'll let you try anything that might give you an audience. I did an Instagram project and have a lot of followers now. Not like any other teacher I've had. A lot of emphasis on social media.
I was an editor on the student newspaper and magazine. Came back after taking some time off and attending a different college. Toni is the best journalism teacher Period. Learned more from her than I did from 2 internships and 2 advisers at another college. If you want to know if Toni is good, take a journalism class at Citrus like I did.
Hard class if you are use to essay writing or creative writing. All about Inverted Pyramid news style. Tutoring by her faculty assistant is helpful in the class. Midterm and final and writing news and meeting stories. Teacher is good at making sure you aren't left behind.
She is not a good teacher at all. Not an effective communicator and very frustrating to work with. If you care about your grades at all I wouldn't take her for anything.
Toni is presenting current, cutting-edge information and instruction. Her extensive knowledge and professional experience speak for themselves, and she is a pro at what she does.
Great class. Great instructor.
Met in her another teacher's class. Joined her PR class and it seriously is the best class I've ever taken. She's funny, smart and teaches like no one else I've had.
Toni is the best teacher and mentor. Gave me good career advice and enjoyed the projects in this staff course. Can easily get an A if you show and up and do the work.
Love love love her. PR class is the best class I've taken. She's so good at what she does, makes you feel like your in a professional business. Learned more in the first four weeks than in some classes all semester. Makes class interesting and fun.
This is a really fun class. If you like to create videos for a Buzzfeed style website, that's what you do in this lab. Every week is different. No tests. Professor is funny and the editor is really good. You have to show up to class tho or you will lose the weekly points.
Passionate about the field and cares about her students.
Toni is passionate about journalism. Very witty and funny. Kept class entertaining. ! Overall she's a great professor and knows what she's doing. I definitely recommend her!
Toni is extremely funny. I love going to class. She loves journalism and will make you love it too. She actually really cares and helps you get your project published. Interesting project ideas done in class.
Class is good, teacher is interesting. If you can't meet deadlines this may not be the class for you but teacher is very helpful and so is her assistant for tutoring. Midterm and final are open book for half of it and the rest is multiple choice and writing.
My queen. Toni is the best adviser. Will miss her when I transfer. Taught me to have confidence in myself and how to be a better editor. Gave us partnerships with Medium and Washington Post and an unforgettable experience. Take her if you want to learn things you never thought you would. Her assistant Jessica is a queen too.
Toni is a wonderful person and professor who deeply cares for her students. She brings her experience from the real world to the class to make the lectures interesting. She has given me the confidence to transfer and the skills to succeed.
Took this professor because the course sounded interesting. She has a way of teaching that isn't like other professors I've taken. She's funny, patient and knowledgeable and makes sure you understand how to write this style. I'm now going to pursue journalism because of her. Gives extra credit and points for social media.
A real professional but if group projects are not your thing this class may not be for you. Entire grade is based on a group project with real clients. Great opportunity to build your resume but stressful when not everyone in groups come through. Still pulled a B and made friends with the client. Good experience overall.
Learned a lot. Emphasis on journalism style of writing but very interesting lectures.
She is a nice/cool professor but I would advise you to really be serious when taking her midterm and final because she does not give partial credit if you get the question wrong and you can easily fail the test. She claims that what we are being tested on is easy, yet she never gives us practice until after the first midterm when everyone fails.
Toni is the best. Took her PR class last semester and loved it so decided to go for the degree and took JOUR 101 and 114 class in spring. The class is easy to manage and her assignments are clear. She and her assistant Jessica go out of their way to help you succeed. She's also a great person to talk to about careers. Takes time to get to know you.
Kind and caring person who just wants to see you succeed in life. Learned so much from her.
Found out about Toni while taking Gina DePoala's class when she came in to talk about the journalism program. I didn't know we had PR at Mt. SAC and I'm so glad she came in because I signed up for her PR class and I'm hooked. Toni really knows the business and gives you a positive outlook for working in this field.
She is funny. I love going to class. She loves journalism and will make you love it too. She really cares and helps you get published.
Very clear on assignments. Relates all assignments to real life journalism. Lectures are interesting. Allows you to write to publish. Learning about social media promotion in classes. Nice person
She's very nice but very flaky. I think students like her because she's easy. If you breathe, you get credit. If that's for you, go take her, if not, take someone else.
Toni is the kindest and most knowledgable professor on campus when it comes to journalism. She brings her experience to all of us and makes her classes interesting. The workshops she gives on gaining an audience for writing has changed the way I look at my social media presence and how I write. No one better.
Fun class making videos for a social media series. Toni creates a class where all ideas are welcome. Three projects and a final and no written tests.
To succeed in this class you have to like group projects because the class is based on working with real clients and setting up your own public relations firm with a group. I learned more in this class that I realized, especially when I began my internship in PR and used all the skills I learned in Toni's class.
A real nice professor who cares greatly about her students. Has a lot of patience and always there to help. Teaches more than news writing. I learned about social media and think I want to major in journalism now that I get there are lots of careers that aren't just newspaper work. Tests are part open book and she gives a chance to rewrite stories.
Fun class. Great instructor. Learned a lot about the career I want to work in.
Okay, you can use your phone, miss classes and turn in late work, but I found her really disorganized, takes forever to grade papers, and too many projects. Goes off on tangents. Take actual classes if you must like 101 but stay away from the student media cause too much drama and too much work
Taking this class made me realize that I want to do public relations after transfer. Toni is an excellent teacher who cares for her students and who really knows the field. I plan to transfer in the fall and am prepared to move on thanks to her guidance.
This professor is awesome. She has a high level of enthusiasm for her job and she keeps classes very entertaining, and she will reply to your DMs as soon as you send them. Overall very helpful and was a fun class to take.
Took Toni during COVID and it was chill. She gives guidance but the class is almost self taught. You have to find your own stories and be creative. A few story pieces, 2 tests, short writing prompts, and some tweeting. She is really sweet and the class is laid back. Gives decent extra credit. Solid choice if you need any journalism classes.
Toni is an amazing professor!! 10/10! She was so understanding with our situations because of COVID. She really cares about her students. Take her! Have a conversation with her if you can. She is very knowledgeable. BEST PROFESSOR EVER!
The most understanding professor I've ever had. Kind, experienced, funny and willing to work with you when things get tough. Work is clear and story drafts are turned in before final story is due so she helps with those too.
Tries hard to make an online class interesting. Two news stories and some quizzes and a feature story. Nice lady.
Toni Albertson is an excellent professor, and I strongly recommend her to you all for a major in journalism, public relations, or a GE course. She is knowledgeable and well-experienced in teaching media. Caring for her students, she enthusiastically encourages you and helps you solve problems. Taking her class is your best choice!
I have yet to have a professor who cares this much about her students. Online classes are hard but Professor Albertson makes herself available at all hours of the day and night and accommodates students to make sure they understand the course material. Interesting online videos and discussions, and clear grading criteria.
TAKE HER CLASS! Period. Toni is freaking AMAZING. She truly loves her job and is so passionate about it. Even if you aren't majoring in journalism and you just need to take this class for credit, she still makes it really fun and has a very warm & inviting class environment for everyone. Do the work & ask for help when needed, she is there for you.
First time taking an online class and this professor is outstanding in all aspects of the class. She is available to students and will not let you fail. So understanding and interesting course material. TAKE HER!
Excellent class. Great professor. Goes out of her way to help and wants you to succeed.
Toni is absolutely one of the best professors Ive had. Not only does she give good feedback, but she applies her own ideas if needed and gives students direction if needed. Only downside is that its group project heavy, and youll for sure run into issues if your group dont do their part.
The class in general has a lot of reporting work, however Toni is funny and relates well to her students. The material is not hard, but there is a lot to do so keep up with the work. She's fair, and knows a lot about the journalism profession so I recommend taking a class with her.
Toni Albertson is a great educator and excellent professor in journalism. She will lead, instruct and help you make an interesting and exciting journalist career or a good writer. She is very nice and always cares about her students. Its worth taking any of her classes in Fall 2021. Yes, she is the best professor for students pursuing journalism.
Chill professor who wants you to succeed. Let's you "choose your passion" to work on the student media so if you're a creative type like me, I love this class to build my photography portfolio.
Toni Albertson is an excellent leader and professor of journalism. She teaches you how to be a journalist and a good writer. And she explicitly teaches you writing news reports, meeting reports, sports reports, critical reviews and feature stories, etc. She always supports her students. To take her class in Spring 2022 is your best choice!!!
One of the best instructors at Mt SAC. Lets you fix your work to get published. Cares more about you becoming a good journalist than a test taker. Kind and patient. Knows her stuff.
This class was fairly easy. Do your homework, pay attenton to detail and you'll pass.
Professor Albertson made this lab class interesting even during the pandemic. She went out of her way to help us produce stories and gave us a chance to report outside of the class. We were allowed to do podcasts instead of stories and as a radio major, I loved learning how to do journalism type podcasts. She's terrific.
