Very good helpful teacher

He is great!

this is an excellent teacher. i had him for the summer for spanish communication and i feel very comfortable speaking the language. and that's after learning spanish since high school!! i'm very excited to have another class with him in the advance class next summer.

He is a doll! He really wants you to learn his first language and is excited that you are trying. He never makes you feel stupid, and gives you a week to take a test if you miss it. Depending on how quickly you pick it up will setermine how often you HAVE to be in class. It's always a good idea right after a test, when learning new stuff. Take Him!

If you really want to learn how to speak the language this is the man to take. He takes his time in teaching you the language and his Christmas Parties are a nice change from class. Take him or you'll be sorry!!

Mr. Alonso is a great instructor who is interested in his students receiving a complete education in Spanish, not just the grammar. I have already recomended him to other students. His teaching methods are traditional paper handouts and whiteboard and are very effective.

By far the best teacher ever. He is very committed in to having his students learn. The class is very easy if you study for your tests. Plus he always gives you extra credit on every quiz and exam and then to help you out further you even can drop your lowest grade. I think he is the best teacher that I have ever taken.

I took Spanish I from a different instructor and didn't learn a thing. I was scared starting this class but Prof Alonso helped me so much throughout this class, he's so helpful. I couldn't believe I made an A in this class. I have even considered taking Spanish I from him to learn what I missed out on the first time. Take all of his classes.

Most of the students in my Spanish I class had already had taken two or more years of Spanish so this first semester class was easy for them. Tony is an excellent instructor and cares about all of the students in the class.

He is an amazing professor, he likes to get to know you and will work with you if you have any problems. There is no mandatory homework, but everything is done in class so you have to show up for class so that you don't miss anything!

I would recommend this class. I took this class in the fall not knowing what to expect since I have been out of school over 20years. This professor was very patient & took his time. I learned a lot. We used the book only for vocab quizzes. He drops the lowest quiz and chapter exam. The final was open book. I would take any spanish class he teach.

I took Spanish 1 at OkState, and then transferred to Tulsa Community College. I was enrolled in to Spanish 3, and Tony was an awesome instructor! He is very helpful and cares about the success of his students. I will be taking more of his classes. There is not much homework, but the tests are difficult. You will HAVE to study! Wonderful class.

Senor Alonso really cares about the students and makes sure we all know how to pronounce the words. He explains the lessons and goes over the tests so you know what to study for. If you want to learn how to speak Spanish he is the professor to take.

Professor Alonso is amazing! There are four test total and the last one is open book. There are also four vocab quizzes with each chapter. He's very flexible when it comes to your personal life. . If you miss a test he allows you to make it up. Best professor at TCC.

Took this professor for Spanish 1. Professor Alonzo is one of my favorite teachers! He's there because he wants you to learn, not because it pays well, so he's happy when you do well. He gives 4 tests and 4 quizzes, and drops the lowest in both, plus an easy oral final. He has one extra assignment, and lots of extra credit. TAKE HIM, no regrets! :)

I would say his class is an easy A, but not because it's difficult is any lower than other classes. He made me feel like I was set up to succeed in his class. Tony Alonso, PHD is a great teacher. I plan to take more Spanish Classes with Tony Alonso. Class participation is a must, with oral and written practice emphasized. Caring, focused, funny, some homework for your practice, you will need to come to class, and exams are tough. If you want to speak Spanish this is the guy you want as your Professor.

This professor wants student to succeed. It is a very interactive verbal class. Students are never embarrassed if they are having trouble with material. Professor Alonzo loves to teach and it shows. If you are looking to learn the language and to get the most out of the $200 you spent on the book then do some self-study, or do not purchase the online code.

The classes are graded through tests so there is no "make-work".

I highly recommend everyone take a class with Tony! I've had Spanish 1, 2, and 3 with him and I'm going to take 4. I'm not the least bit nervous about Span 4 because his classes and teaching style is very relaxed and encouraging. If you put forth effort, you'll do well. Learning a language can be inherently different, but Tony makes sure that it is not the case with his class. He takes time and effort to explain each topic clearly, and in detail . He's also a very caring individual who puts the wellbeing and improvement of his students as a top priority and it shows in his general demeanor and attitude.

Sr. Alonso is such a great professor, he truly cares about his students and is motivating in the classroom. If you miss a test or have things going on outside of class he will give you the opportunity to make it up, and he only wants to see you do good. His lectures are easy to understand!

Homework is optional, its given more to benefit you rather than to turn in. If you make time to study vocab and prepare for tests you will pass!

Tony is a very passionate educator. He truly cares about all of his students past, present and future. While attendance is not mandatory, I highly urge the student to attend every class. You won't want to miss anything. The class is fun and Tony discusses the Hispanic culture and provides many opportunities for practicing your conversations.

The best Spanish teacher I've ever had! He is extremely nice and understanding, doesn't judge at all. Cares about the students a lot and only wants the best for everyone. Class isn't hard if you pay attention and participate.

Mr. Alonso is great at making sure everyone is comfortable and confident in class to ensure a productive learning environment. If you have questions outside of class, just call/email. Must pay attention in this class because everyone speaks and participates as he calls on you. The more you put into this class, the more you'll get out of it!

Indispensable if you're serious about improving your Spanish conversation skills (something which, sadly, is often overlooked in many introductory Spanish courses). Tony Alonso is a wonderful professor! This professor is very encouraging, quickly responds to emails, and cares a lot about his students. Profesor Alonso teaches not only about the Spanish language, he also teaches about Hispanic culture. I have improved significantly in my ability to speak Spanish and remember words.

Professor Alonso is an amazing teacher with years of experience. I would say if he doesn't find your life experiences interesting or impressive, you may not get as much as as an opportunity to talk as the other students. If you're impoverished, I would just suggest that you make something up so you'll have more conversation time.

Professor Tony Alonso was always very caring, dedicated, polite, personal, positive and respectful to ALL of his students who were all treated equally and with respect.
