Tony is a great motivated, enthusiastic teacher. He made this class very interesting. The subject itself is hard so you just have to spend a lot of time studying.
I personally think Tony is a great teacher. I loved his lectures. He's so funny, and makes it interesting and fun to be in class with him. He's very helpful, and more than willing to help students with any questions they may have. The class itself is very hard. As long as you show up for class, and study your little brain out, you'll do great!
Tony is a very karimatic person. he makes this class ALOT more interesting and easier to learn than even biology 100 levels...I've had those.
one of the best teacher's I've had! This is TOUGH material, and takes dedication and effort, but Tony makes it acheivable - very clear learning objectives and goals- great lectures- emphasis on student success, not failure like so many other professors
If you need to take a bio class take Tony. The best.
Tony has been an excellent instructor right back from the very beginning on day one. I had Tony for Biol 251,252,& 253. It's a very hard class & it takes lots of hard work & determination but its a lot of fun which makes it worth it. Tony is very enthusiastic about the subject he teaches and always has lots of stories and jokes to tell. LOVED A&P!
Tony is an amazing teacher. In lecture he helps you to understand using analogies, and he won't overwhelm you with unnecessary material. The weekly tests are simple as long as you know what he said in class. In lab he is just as good. You never have to be nervous to ask a question. Most helpful teacher and best science class I have ever taken.
He is the best teacher ever! He really lets you know what to focus on and gives weekly tests which cover the material he told you to study. Best teacher I have ever had.
This guy seems to really love his job. If you ever need any help with anything, he's got the answers. He seems to have a great enthusiasm about him. If you have to take a bio course, then look for this guy. He's great!
He is very enthusiastic and helpful.
Tony is great! very helpful! if you're taking anatomy TAKE IT WITH TONY!
He is organized, funny, and has a real gift for making this complex subject comprehensible. If you take A&P at Clark, take it with Tony! I'm not sure I can rave about him enough as a professor, because he is one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you want organized, helpful, and amusing, this is the guy.
Tony is always prepared for class and has very interesting and animated lectures. He uses student feedback to improve his class materials. This class is tough, but it's never boring.
Tony is so enthusiastic, and gives very refreshingly energetic lectures! He is extremely helpful and is open-minded, and he has very helpful/funny ways of remembering and memorizing information (a must if you're going to get through A&P and memorization isn't your forte). A&P isn't easy, but Tony makes it do-able and fun!
Tony is great! Makes lecture interesting through his use of humor and postive attitude. One hint-Make sure to turn off cell.
Tony is a very enthusiastic, charismatic teacher. The subject matter is hard, A&P requires a lot of memorization, but he's full of memory tips and jokes, and is overall very helpful, very knowledgeable about his subject. I'm thoroughly enjoying this class :)
Tony is an awesome instructor. He makes the stress feel lighter, which is helpful. Even though I failed this class (lots of REAL studying and time is required), I would love to retake it with him!
Tony is so helpful! His class is really tough but he will do anything to help you learn. He has the best tricks for memorization and his songs/poems are the best!
Tony is a GREAT instructor! A&P is a difficult course but he goes out of his way in making his lectures interesting. He is very animated and has great tips & jokes. He is an instructor that really wants his students to succeed.
I hated Biology before taking his class. Now I'm majoring in Bio. Tony opened and expanded my mind. He is clear in lectures and hands out power points on everything that is on the tests. If you do not understand something he's more than willing to explain it differently. He is by far the best professor I have ever had. Two thumbs up for this guy!
I'm so grateful for my A&P experience with Tony! He made this challenging class doable and so entertaining! Although I was a little disappointed with some of my one-on-one interactions with him, I am so glad I took the series with him. He is so funny and will NEVER trick you on lab exams. Lecture exams are tough, but fair. Take A&P with Tony!
I took BIOL&164/165 with Tony prior to taking the full A&P sequence with him. Abaolutely the best instructor I have ever had at Clark! Other instructors should take a class from him and learn from example how to make a college class FUN and ENTERTAINING!
Tony is naturally a nice person. Best A&P instructor!!He made class easy, interesting and understandable!!A&P is not a hard and scary class if you take it with Tony especailly if you have Tony for lecture and lab, piece of cake!!!!
Awesome teacher & a really nice person. Best teacher I ever had!
Tony is an awesome teacher! Has great passion for biology so it makes lectures fun and interesting. Always goes the extra mile to help if you have questions. Can't wait to take him next quarter for A & P.
I actually went into this class dreding Biology. By the end of the quarter I am very greatful that I took this class and especially from this instructor. The opportunity at the end of quarter was amazing. Thank you for the learning experience.
I took all three sections of A&P with Tony and he is truly an amazing and passionate instructor. A&P 2 is the hardest but he still makes it fun and all the scientific wording is just a part of the class. It's a hard nine months no matter what however Tony believes in you and is always willing to go that extra mile for you if he can.
Tony is the best college professor I have had so far. He is very enthusiastic about his subject and is very knowledgeable. He is very straightforward and clear on what is expected. His lectures are very interesting and although not mandatory I would highly recommend going to the lectures. He made a very hard class interesting.
Tony is a fantastic instructor. His passion and enthusiasm for the subject I feel helps him to deliver the information to his students is a highly retainable fashion. He is really bouncy and energetic so it makes it easier to get through lecture and stay interested.
Tony isa great instructor. I would reccommend him to anyone. Some pointers I can give are to read the book at least once because he likes to give 5% of the questions on the tests that aren't covered in lecture, come to lecture, record it, LEARN and try to actually UNDERSTAND the material instead of just memorize it, and have fun!
very cool
Tony is one of the best professors i have ever had. He is committed to helping you succeed and will go the extra mile to help you. I would definitely recommend him for the A&P series. He makes biology fun and interesting. His notes are very helpful and if you pay attention during lecture and study the notes, you will do fine on tests.
I wish there were more teachers like Tony. Best teacher ever! You gotta be in his class. Overall, the subject is hard, and you have to put a lot of effort if you want a good grade. He explains things clearly and if you don't understand something, he will be happy to answer on all questions you have. Attend his fun lectures, read the book, and memorize his powerpoints, and you will get a good grade.
He's extremely helpful and his lectures are fun. Definitely recommend him for the A&P series.
Tony remembers what it's like to be a student and it shows in the respect he extends to his class. Even when people ask dumb questions he patiently answers and never makes them feel stupid. He writes fair test questions and won't trick you on the lab tests. Getting the right teacher makes such a difference with this challenging class.
I've has Tony for all 3 sections of A&P..love him. He is very helpful, understanding & tries to make lecture fun. I have struggled with his class but not by any fault of his (I'm taking way to many credits). Spend as much time in lab as you can and get a good study partner you will do fine. If I retake the class I will wait to do it with Tony. :-)
go to class, record the lectures, study, one of the best teachers i've ever had, has a genuine love for A&P
Amazing instructor. A&P is hard no matter who you take it from, but Tony really tries to make it understandable and uses hilarious anecdotes to help you remember things. (I can't ever hear the song "Notorious" the same way after 251 with him...) Highly recommend him, even if it means waiting a quarter to start the series.
Tony is by far the best instructor ever!!!He wants everyone to pass and he gos above and beyond to help eveyone succeed. He make lectures fun and interesting.
AMAZING, love him and his tricks for remembering, he is hilarious and really wants everyone to learn as much as possible, am definitely taking his A&P class next term. One of my best teachers I absolutely recommend him :)
Tony is funny and he actually cares about students. He helps you to know exactly what is on the tests and how you are doing in the class. He is helpful ad understanding and makes biology really fun. Also he is fairly easy considering the subject. Take his class and you will look forward to going each day. He is effecient and overall a nice guy.
I cannot stress how AMAZING Tony is! I've never been so interested in a Biology class before. I barely used the textbook because his lectures and power points were SO helpful/interesting. One tip is to make flashcards for EVERYTHING and you will for sure receive an A. It's not necessarily the easiest class, but it's incredibly informative.
Tony is no doubt the best anatomy teacher out there!! I have taken anatomy with Rausch, and regretted it. Yes, I should have studied more, however, Tony makes things so much fun! He explains everything, is fun to listen to, is patient, the list goes on. I can honestly say I am enjoying his class.. which I can't say that for any other class!
OH MY GOSH!! Tony is the best teacher I have had throughout my last two years of college. He is very helpful and cares about his students. He provides study exams for tests and his lectures are fabulous. He clarifies during his lectures and is always there for you if you need help. TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!
Tony is great. He works hard to make sure we have all the tools to understand the material. Of course after that it is up to us, this stuff will not learn itself. Work hard, attend lecture and lab and you will do well.
Amazinteacher, invests in students, gives great learing tools. Best instuctor I have had at Clark
The A&P sequence is hard but Tony is clear in what he expects from you and as long as you work hard and study he is fair and doesn't try to trick you.
Ins Chennault was by far the best instructor I had at Clark. His labs are FUN and exams difficult but he never tries to "trick" you like some instructors tend to do. He's very sympathetic to every student's situation and this quality is often lacked by instructors in general. Tony is an A+.
Tony is by FAR my favorite instructor I've had at Clark. He's very fun to listen to and clear in what he expects from his students. He's very organized and really knows the material. Unlike other teachers, Tony really wants his students to succeed. If you need to take A&P, take it with him! Wish he was my teacher for all my classes!
Tony is the BEST. He strives for absolute perfection in the information he presents. I earned my undergrad degree at an expensive private university, and he was better than most of my PhD science profs. He communicates with students promptly and effectively, and it is clear that he cares about his students' success. Clark is LUCKY to have him.
A&P is an extremely difficult class, but Tony's engaging teaching style made it bearable, if not enjoyable. He's straightforward with the info you need to know, gives plenty of suggestions for learning it, and is more than happy to answer questions. Excellent teacher.. if you have to take this class, take it with Tony.
This man is a brilliant man and i feel like his class was the best classes that i have taken at clark college... Though A&P IS SUPER hard class, i feel as if tony made it fun and doable.. i got an A all three classes and if i can do it, than anyone can... Just study his NOTES NOTES NOTES and thats how you will succeed:)
Very helpful with questions and never tries to trick you or confuse you when it comes to tests. He actually wants his students to succeed.
Tony is the best of the best. why? Because his Technique of teaching are developed to the best. A&P is not an easy class and Tony will not let you slack off, but he is very experience, clever, understands your question from your very first word and knows exactly how to approach you and explain.
He really likes what he is doing and it inspires students to like human anatomy and physiology. My advise, be ahead of the game, and that will give you the best results. I got all A's in his classes. I bet you Tony is the best out there. I'm not sure if I would be able to learn and pick up material that quickly with another instructor.
He is very organized. His VERY ORGANIZED slides are the best in the world. And it really helps in such a hard class. I got All A's but I worked my butt off. If I would retake this class again I would definitely take Tony Chennault's class again.
Tony is the best anatomy and physiology teacher. I had a hard time with the classes but still did well. He explains things well and doesn't trick you. I'd take all 3 classes again if I had to. I'd only recommend him since I started out with a different teacher. He is worth waiting for.
This is by far most difficult professor I have had. His test are hard and confusing. If you want no life in this class then you might want to take this class.
I'm a long time student at Clark and I have to say Tony has been my all-time favorite teacher. He makes A&P bearable with interesting lectures and he constantly gives helpful tips and tricks (TOOLS) to get you through the tough A&P material. I feel fortunate to have had him for an instructor and highly recommend him to all future students!
Tony is AMAZING. A&P is a hard subject. Tony makes it relatable and understandable. He is a great teacher. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Very helpful and fun to learn from. Put in the time and effort and you will get a decent grade.
WOW! Tony is the greatest! Saying that I took human biology and the sequence with him! I can't emphasize enough that he is the best teacher to choose from if you are planning on taking the sequence! Everyone knows that A&P is hard but with him, the class time passes like a breeze.
Tony is the best. he is very clear on what he wants and what you need to know. he is extremely helpful and very easy to understand. he makes his tests challenging but if you do the work pretty easy.
The material is definitely tough, there is a lot to learn BUT Tony is a GREAT teacher! best I've had so far, he makes biology easy and fun to learn. His notes are awesome, they are crystal clear. His tests are a bit hard but you'll be fine if you study. If you take BIOL 164 make sure to get Tony !
Tony is the best teacher ever!!!!!I am 50 so I have had a few teachers. He works hard and you will to if you want a good grade!!
I was able to receive an A in the class by attending lecture daily and studying hard the night before the test. I didn't pick up the textbook once and didn't take any notes. The tests are on his PowerPoint notes which are posted on his website so all your study material is right there.
Excellent instructor.
Greatest teacher ever! Very detailed lectures, crystal clear power points, offers extra credit. Had a great time in his class, learned a lot. Study hard and you'll succeed.
Tony is and amazing instructor. SHOW UP FOR CLASS and you will pass. His tests are much more understandable than Rausch's tests and he does a LOT more instruction. He really goes above and beyond to help his students succeed. He is a character and makes learning fun. Just a wonderful, wonderful teacher.
Excellent teacher. Very enthusiastic, motivated and explains things very clearly. Answers questions thoroughly. Take him!
Tony is a wonderful professor. I highly recommend taking him for the A&P series. He does make you do the leg work to find answers, but if you still need help then he's more than willing to guide you in the right direction. The course material is not easy, however he gives you all the tools you need to do well. His grading curve is very generous!
I have had all 3 of Clark Colleges A&P instructors for various courses and Tony Chennault is hands down the BEST A&P instructor they have. Its a tough course, can't get around that, but he is creative, lots of positive energy, helpful and really there for you. He is more than worth the wait as your instructor. Thanks Tony, YOU ROCK!!
A&P is a tough course in general and Tony makes an effort to be the best tour guide of the body. Class and lab are worth attending every time. He prepares you (if you put forth effort) for the really tough stuff a student is generally preparing for later down the road. The expectations are very clear. I wish every instructor I had were like Tony.
Tony is very clear, gives good examples, helpful, makes a very tough subject more manageable. The 251, 252, & 253 series requires a lot of self study time and not to be taken lightly if u want to pass. His grading curve is very generous and attendance is not mandatory.
Tony's knack for teaching A&P is by far the BEST I've experienced! He understands that his students are learning and we're not experts on the subject. He explains everything very clearly, and has a great ability to make hard concepts understandable. He cares about his students and he's super hilarious! I wish I could take more classes from him.
What a great teacher! He makes the subject interesting and you can tell he truly wants his students to learn. He is also fair and makes it very clear what is expected to do well in his class.
Great teacher, makes class fun and interesting.
Hands-down the best human biology teacher I've ever had. He gives amazing and interesting lectures with tons of energy and passion. He broke down the difficult concepts of the human body and made them easy to understand. His multiple-choice chapter tests are pretty easy if you study for them; he even gives you study guides! Gives easy extra credit!
Tony is the easiest and most passionate teacher so far among anatomy teachers as I've experienced. He is very clear on what he's expecting from you, but at the same time, he understands that A&P overall is a difficult class, so he makes it easier for students. HOWEVER, he likes to trick students on the tests sometimes, so BE AWARE!
A&P is not easy but Tony at least tries to make lectures enjoyable. He has funny ways of helping you to remember things and they stick. I enjoyed him as a teacher. The material was not easy & I worked my butt off. I did have to retake A&P to get a better grade but that was not Tony's fault, it was mine & my poor study skills/test taking.
Tony is an excellent professor, probably the best I've had at Clark. The course is challenging, but it's the material not the professor. He is incredibly helpful and always willing to answer questions. His lectures are interesting and he always gives helpful lessons for lab. You have to be committed and ready to work hard for this course.
I took Bolke for 251 and 252 and Chennault for 253. I got a better grade in Chennault's class. The wording on the exams were easier for me to understand. Made it clear what was expected.
You have to work and study to get a good grade in this class. Tony gives great lectures, fair grading, and is super friendly and helpful! Grades are weighted and he drops the lowest exam and lab module. Lab is super fun, the practicals are a little hard though. His lectures are pretty similar to the book but it still helps. Lecture exams aren't bad
Tony Chennault is by far the best teacher I have ever had. I took him for both A &P 241 and 242 and recommend him to everyone. His lectures make the material clear and really outline what you need to know for the exams. This class is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. You need to be ready to put in maximum effort to receive an A.
I took Human Biology with Tony, and it was his first quarter teaching it. He taught it as if he were teaching an A&P class, and tests were INCREDIBLY hard. Labs were fun, and I did learn a lot, I just felt the grade did not represent how much I actually worked and learned in his class. He's great, just hard tests.
Tony is an awesome dude. He is fun to learn from because he is so passionate about biology. He is a tough grader on the group project, but you are given 9 weeks to work on it, so don't procrastinate! He gives lecture notes out, so towards the end I stopped reading the book and focused on just really knowing the notes.
Tony works hard to help his students succeed. He explains things well and prepares everything for lecture and lab in detail. If you would like to pass this class, then simply do what he recommends for studying and try to attend every session you can. He is a wonderful prof!
Tony is an awesome professor. He grades fairly and drops a lecture exam and a lab module to boost your grade, as well as grading on a curve. I opened my textbook maybe once or twice but it wasn't really necessary because his notes were thorough. Attend lectures and study and you'll do fine!
Tony is by far the best Professor I've had at Clark so far! He gives you study tips, makes lectures clear, gives you exams on things that he went over clearly in class, and the list goes on! He is very helpful and cares about helping his students grasp concepts and material he teaches. As long as you do your part by coming to class and studying.
Tony is a wonderful teacher and is really helpful. If you struggle with any material and go to him he will help you and give you good feedback!
Tony is a great professor who's willing to answer any questions you have. He also is very helpful during labs and provides specific lessons on the harder portions of lab. Tests are hard and be prepared to study your butt off to get a good grade in this class. Overall, I would definitely take more of his classes.
I took Tony for Bio160 and human anatomy and physiology, both series'. I would totally recommend anyone to take tony for these courses. He was legit helpful and if you didn't get something he had good tips to help or he would help. I feel like he truly cared about the students' grades.
Tony is a rockstar in human science. He is well respected and it shows. I took anatomy and physiology 241 & 242 with tony. I could not recommended a better professor at Clark college!!!!!!!!
This is a hard class, but Tony makes it really fun! He has very animated lectures and is very willing to meet with a student at any time that it works. Awesome teacher!
Super easy exams! Very similar to study guides. And if you fail one exam its dropped at the end of the quarter!
Tony is an awesome teacher. He makes sure that you understand the content of the course. He is always available for questions and is very clear with his grading. Great Teacher!
Currently taking Tony for Human A&P as a prereq for the nursing program. I won't lie, this class is the hardest I've ever taken, but Tony is an amazing professor. He's funny, tries his hardest to make the topic interesting and gives tips whenever possible to help students study the material. One of the best professors I've ever had!
Tony is one of the best Professors I've had. A&P is a difficult class but he gives you all the tools you need to be successful. If you go to class and study he'll do what he can to help you along the way. Many people I know pass with A's, so it's not impossible. Lectures are funny, he's full of tips, and shows respect to everyone. Great class!
Chennault is an exceptional Anatomy & Physiology instructor. Not only is he passionate & energetic, but he also strives to help his students succeed in his classes. The A & P sequence is extremely difficult, but he is fair and does not try to trick you. Tony does well with preparing students for exams. To succeed, study each day and attend class!
Great, great teacher. Ridiculously hard class. This is something you really have to work for if you want an A. I don't suggest taking a full 15 credit load with this class, as the lecture and lab feel much like two separate 5 credit classes. Tony is a great professor, though, and certainly finds ways to make learning fun.
Tony was a great instructor! The course itself was difficult, but he was great at explaining the material. Lectures are not mandatory, although I highly recommend that you go to all of them. I did not read the textbook at all, but did have to use the Atlas quite often.
Easy to reach, clear expectations, happily answers questions and addresses confusion.
A&P is hard - there is nothing else to say about the difficulty. But, Tony rocks! He cares so much about his students. If you want an A, you have to study every day and review everything until you drive yourself crazy. The hardest 251 lab exam is the muscle exam, so get your gluteus maximus into the lab - you can't learn it with just flashcards.
Bio 253 is much easier than Bio 251 and 252 and don't be scared of the metabolic pathway exam or the blood pathway exam - the average on both was over 90%. But, make sure to start studying for each of them before class starts during your break! The 253 lab is also much easier and the hardest exam is the cardiovascular exam, or test #1.
Just finished the 3 quarter A&P sequence and honestly, this is a hard course. BIOL&251 is the easiest and it gets more challenging from there. However, Tony is the best! He's super passionate about what he teaches and that makes learning it so fun! Test questions are taken from his powerpoints and lab is hands-on, so flashcards aren't the way to go
A&P is one of the hardest classes I took as a nursing prereq. Tony is easy to learn from because his passion for A&P is contagious. He makes learning hard concepts easier and interesting. I liked that he answered all students questions without judgement . He is also very respectful. His jokes are hilarious which made learning more fun. Take Tony.
Tony Chennault is hands down the best professor I've had the pleasure of having at Clark. This class is obviously not easy in general, but Tony makes it so doable and fun. I finished BIOL253 in the spring and I honestly miss his class so much. I learned so much and truly had such a good time. Do yourself and take Tony for anatomy!
Tony is a great professor, I would 100% recommend him to perspective A & P students. The grade is based on tests, but all tests are open notes, open internet, with a time limit. His lectures/lab zooms are optional but do have some great study tips and he is always willing to re-explain something. Be ready to mostly study and learn on your own.
Bio 251-253 are graded by seven exams, the last being a cumulative final. 90 percent of the questions on the exam are from his online lectures, so take detailed notes. His lectures are funny and clear. No need to go to lecture unless you like that.
Tony was one of the best professor I had. His tests are from his lecture videos a and slides. If understand his lectures and slides well you will pass. He is always ready to help, he has different zoom sessions time. you can attend any and ask questions. I would definitely take him again. Great professor!
I had Tony for Biology 251, 252 and 253. All 3 online due to COVID. Tony made the online experience great! He is a wonderful instructor and cares a lot about your success. He always answered my questions well and within a reasonable time frame. He is very knowledgeable, and funny too! Please take him for A&P. Best professor I've ever had at Clark!
Tony is such an amazing instructor! He always tried to think of little ways to remember the material since it could be pretty dense. Going to his optional zoom sessions really helps in understanding the material so I definitely recommend it! I am excited to take A&P 2 with him in the Winter!
Tony is great. His lectures are lengthy but very informative. He does put them into different parts so it doesn’t seem like such a huge workload. Tests really aren’t too bad as long as you study. In this class tests were open resource, he wanted you to succeed by using notes, the book, etc. Anatomy can be hard!! I definitely recommend him!!
A&P is super hard but Tony is hands down the best professor I've ever had. He makes A&P super enjoyable (sounds weird to say...I know) but he seriously is top tier and will bend over backwards for his students to succeed but not by just giving out answers and not making you work for them. I question your intelligence if you don't take him for A&P.
Tony is a wonderful professor. He always makes sure to provide you with clear instructions and all the tools you need to succeed in this difficult class. He is also very accommodating to disability students. Tony is the best professor to have if you're taking A&P. There are three lecture exams and three lab exams, no homework.
Literally the best prof! A&P is a very challenging class but he makes it very enjoyable and is great at explaining things. He's very flexible to meet outside of class and allows extra time in lab. Lectures are recorded videos which makes it easier to fit in. Lots to memorize but he's a great prof and is great at teaching how to understand it all.
He is very accommodating and accessible inside and outside of class. He has great lectures and is the perfect person to be teaching Anatomy + Physiology!
Tony is an incredible A&P professor who really cares about student success. While the class is challenging, his clear lectures and optional study sessions are a huge help. I found unstuckstudy's flashcards and practice quizzes invaluable for prep.
Tony quickly became one of my favorite professors at Clark after my first sequence of A&P with him. His love for teaching is apparent and he's incredibly supportive with students' learning. While the course material may be hard at times, Tony makes the learning interesting and not so daunting. If you have to take A&P, take it with him!
I changed careers but still attended the class as I found the material interesting. Tony made class enjoyable with his enthusiasm and engagement. Though I was going to withdraw, he continued to support my learning and included me in the fun activities. He is kind and gives great tips for memorizing the material. I had to rate him—he's fantastic!
Took him for BIOL251, 252, & 253 in 2023-2024. He is an amazing professor, probably the best professor at Clark. His lectures are wonderful, and he makes difficult topics fun and interesting. He is great with disability accommodations as well. If you aren't already taking the three term A&P for the better pacing, take it so you can have his class.
I took classes with Tony for BIOL 251, 252, and 253. This class was one of the most challenging yet most rewarding classes. He is a fantastic teacher, despite the heavy workload of this class; he makes learning enjoyable. I would 100% take this class at this pace with Tony. He is very understanding and helpful, and you will see yourself grow!
