Dr. Hage was the best teacher I have had - made me love chemistry. He never started a new topic unless everyone understood the material. Hated to see the class end.

Wow! Who wants to take BIO 100? if the answer is you, you should consider taking it from Dr. Hage. the best professor on Chemistery, makes look easy covers it as no one else does. He gives clues to what the test is going to look like and the quizes are what to from last class. really easy easy class.

He's a great teacher but he lumped all of the classes into 2 test and the final which made it hard on me since I am not a good test taker.

Dr Hage is awesome instructor. He explains very well, and makes it easy to understand, Tests are strictly off his lectures. He assigns homework not for points but for credits(sort of like extra credit), but they are to your benefit. If you do your homework and practice, you'll do great. Lets you use the some handouts on tests. Sgn up 4 his class!!

Dr. Hage is a wonderful teacher. He will look with you to understand the material. Tests are challenging but if you study you should do OK. He didn't teach from the book because it was new this quarter. Book has a lot of mistakes especially in the homework answer guide. Doesn't curve but is generous with partial points on tests. Loved his class.

WOW what can I say about Dr. Hage! He is just wonderful. He is very nice and he loves to teach. I used to hate chemistry before, but after I took his class, I realized that chemistry can be fun. Hage was a really nice guy. He was helpful when you asked him questions. He wasn't very clear on what was going to be on test. He tells you the final is from test 1 and 2 don't believe it, because it's not he adds a lot more stuff to it that was from the the first and second chapters things you didn't think to study for. Beware.

Great Teacher. I suggest sitting on the front row- and staying engaged the ENTIRE time. you MUST do the HW to do well on the tests. I really enjoyed the class. He's a good teacher- but you MUST study and do the HW to do well.

One of the best teachers ever. A very good teacher. Definitely recommend. Aced his class, no problem whatsoever; then struggled and barely passed 171. I wish he taught 171/172. Still have notes copied in his class.

BEST PROF EVER!!! who actually likes chem? NO ONE! However I couldn't have had a better teacher and I wouldn't have stood a chance without him. He was so clear and taught great shortcuts! It's a great class, and gave me hope in my chem ability! You must take his class if you need it!

Prof. Hage is a wonderful teacher. I hadnt taken a class in 10 years and was scared to take Chemistry of all things, but he made class interesting and very understandable. One of the best teachers at CSCC :)

There is a lot of information in this introductory chemistry class. I recommend taking lots of notes during lecture, completing the homework (mainly practice problems), and not missing class. If you study you will do well, but don't expect any favors when it comes to grading.

Tony is an amazing instructor. His stories and analogies make difficult concepts seem simple. This instructor obviously loves to teach this subject. I would recommend this instructor to everyone. I was worried I would not understand the material, and I ended up with a high A in the class. Be sure you do ALL of the homework problems!

Tony Hage was a wonderful professor, he helped all of his students especially if he saw that you were trying your best completing assignments timely and showing up for class. I would recommend him to ANYONE!

Very GREAT teacher! I would recommend to anyone taking Chem100 to get this teacher. He is so understandable and doesn't get mad. He is also very entertaining which keeps you focused on the subject.

Prof. Hage is very into Chemistry and his excitement is contageous. He breaks down the problems so they are easier to understand. You have to practice and do the homework, but as long as you get familiar with the mathematical concepts, you will do fine.

Professor Hage was very helpful. He explained chemistry for dummies. He is very smart and funny. On tests he'll try to give you as many points possible. The homework is required but it's so helpful.

Professor Hage is an amazing professor! I was very worried about chemistry as everyone has heard horror stories, but chemistry with Professor Hage was amazing! If you attend each class, do the homework and participate in class you should not only do well but you will actually walk away understanding chemistry. This is a great class!!!

Tony Hage is by far the coolest Chemistry teacher, most accepting and understanding of all types of people with all different levels of learning. If you don't know anything about Chemistry, I would recommend Tony Hage. I wasn't sure how I would like this class, but he made it fun and easy to understand.

Mr. Hage is an exceptional chemistry teacher. He will answer any question in any way possible to help you understand. He wants you to do well and will make sure you do if you're willing. Overall, I will say if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have passed. Great job Mr. Hage!

Unbelievably Good

I would recommend him for anyone who is struggling or anyone who does not have a lot of knowledge about chemistry. He is easy to understand and willing to answer any questions you might have. I would highly recommend him!!!!!

Mr. Hage is a great teacher! I wouldn't have been able to "get" chemistry if it wasn't for him. The book is super confusing, but the exams are all based on his notes and what he taught us in class. the book is just used for us to practice. He also takes time for tutoring before class so you can get help from him not just some random professor.

He did tutoring before class and even asked for extra tutoring time for us from the chemistry department. Wish I could have him again!

Mr. Hage is one of the most caring teachers Ive ever came across. I hated Chem never took it in high school. I was terrified of it. He made it seem so easy, he explained it so well and went over and beyond to help you learn. Even stayed in later to answer your questions if you didn't get it. He will respond to any em you send very quickly.

He is amazing! Everything good you hear is true. We had our class get bigger each week from people switching to him. Makes chemistry fun and easier to learn. He doesn't stop until you GET IT! Even has tutoring an hour before class begins!

Dr. Hage is an EXCELLENT instructor. He has such a passion for teaching chemistry that he teaches in a way that everyone can understand. He put's his own twist on teaching that makes it more comprehensive. I was terrified to take CHEM but not anymore. I've always taken advantage of the tutoring before class and it helped tremendously.

Tony's passion for chemistry is contagious. He is not a teacher that is just going to teach what will be on the test. His goal is to get you ready to go on to 1113. He succeeds in keeping you entertained while truly getting you to understand chemistry in a way that is easy to remember. I highly advise anyone taking chem 0100 to take Tony's class.

Tony is a very nice and helpful teacher. Attendance is not mandatory but it will be hard to pass the course, like any other course. He is also a very fair grader. Would love to have Tony for any other science class.

I didn't actually have Tony as my teacher. He substituted for my 0100 class for one class. It was the best class all semester. My teacher was so awful that I sat in on Tony's class. He is always willing to help anyone! Extra tutoring time or anything. He will be there for you but you have to be willing to work at it as well. Dr. Tony is the best!

Professor Hage is awesome! He makes chemistry as easy as it can be (it' still hard though)! He offers tutoring 1 hour before class and will stay late if you need help. Labs are so easy with him. He grades for the effort you put in the tests/class as well as the correct answers. I would highly recommend him:)

I took this class on campus. Tony was very helpful and set up tutoring with himself twice a week for us. His grading was very fair and would always explain things twice to make sure we understood him. Tony went the extra mile for those who asked for help. He rates as one of my top 5 favorite professors. The class is not easy but Tony is great.

Just like all the rest of these reviews, I concur he is the best teacher ever. He makes Chemistry fun!! If you ever get the chance to take his class, do it. You will appreciate chemistry for the rest of your life. I took his class over 15 years ago. Amazing professor.

Great Professor! My chemistry was good in high school but this professor made it even easier to understand for me with great explanation and examples. he knows the chemistry really well u can almost ask any question and he knows the answer. Really great personality with a lot of knowledge !

Tony Hage is hands-down one of the best teachers I've ever had, if not THE best. I hadn't taken chemistry in probably 14 years (graduated HS a long time ago), so the fact that I did so well is a testament to his teaching ability. He breaks things down so they are easy to understand, does tons of in-class practice...overall, an excellent person.

Tony is a competent professor. His lectures are understandable and he answers questions in a mostly clear manner. However, one thing that was annoying to me was how he bragged every other week about his amazing ratings on this website, and the awards he got from the school because of them. No offense, but he certainly does not live up to the hype.

Professor Hage is an AMAZING Instructor. He not only has great analogies for learning chemistry but also gives plenty of review and instruction for his students. Hage made himself available prior toafter class for specific questions over lecture material I wasn't clear on . **In class participation goes a long way with Professor Hage!

Tony is an amazing teacher! For those students who don't understand the "hype" it is because some of us just don't get Chemistry but he makes us feel like it comes naturally. Professor Hage is awesome. Take his class, I drive 45 minutes to get to class but I do not regret it. His notes are very clear and his test are based on his notes. If you study your notes before test you would pass his class with a good grade.

Toni Hage helps you understand Chemistry. He is there for you, if you want to learn. Tests are not multiple choice, so you must know your material. All the material is covered in the lectures.

Fantastic teacher, obviously passionate about the subject, and passionate about teaching. He is very good at making complex information easily digestible. He has been teaching the course for decades, and he has it down to a science (no pun intended). I'd love to take another of his courses if I could. Bonus: his personality is unique and fun.

HAHA did i say easy A, he never runs from a question. he encourages more questions. he simplifies all the material. his tests are written problem solving. but you'll get a question that wasn't discussed in class over 4 times. I know slow students who made it in his class so because he was willing to help

I love this teacher so much. He made me love chemistry and I wish teachers were like him. I remember one time in class one of the student didnt understand something so simple, but he so passion about it and explain everything to her. Plus at the end he made sure to double check with her. Also hes the only teacher I met that goes out his way help.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. I ended up getting an A+ in his class. He is SO nice and VERY helpful. He has helped me out outside of lecture with studying for future exams and he really cares a lot about his students!!!! Take his class!!! Best professor out there I promise!!! Professor Hage by far is one of the most amazing professors I have ever had. Professor Hage made it his duty to make sure his students are well prepared for class. He explains content so well during the lectures and always encourages his students to ask questions when they are confused. If you are skeptical of chemistry, fear not. He is amazing!

Best professor I have had! He makes sure you understand the units well and answers any questions you have in a detailed form. He is incredibly nice and responds to emails quick. Definitely recommend if you take chemistry 0100. He provides lecture notes for you so I did not need to buy a textbook, which was a money saver.

This was a good class the lectures are good with a lot of examples. He is really understanding and will help you with due dates if something is late.
