He repeats himself a lot, but he's a really good guy and a nice teacher who seems to understand students and wants to help.

Great instructor. He understands economics and patiently teaches it. He truly cares about his students and wants everyone to succeed. He has a quarky sense of humor and the atmosphere of his class is fun.

too bad he doesn't teach accounting anymore. this guy can draw in the money for tcc. he should get performance based income. he is really top of the line. he really has all his skills down. i would recommend him for all students. he will allow questions so come prepared and get the most out of him. go tony.

O'Conner is an awesome teacher. His quizzes are take home and are very easy. If you study the quizzes you will do good on the exam. If you are taking macro, take it with O'Conner!

Just go to class each day, do the take home quizzes, do the easy essays, and just study the quizzes for the tests = A.

Tony can be an odd fellow, but he's one of the best teachers I've had in college. He's funny, willing to help you after class, and keeps class interesting, for the most part.

I have him for Personal Finance (which I was dreading) and I really enjoy it. I've learned a lot of practical, valuable information and would take his class again. The work is light and easy, he's very friendly and a great teacher. He's very passionate about his subject and it makes class a joy.

Very easy teacher.... if you just come to class everyday and do his quizzes...there is no way that you won't make an A... all the test questions are from the quizzes he hands out in class.. do your quizzes and essay. very easy essay.. sometimes only one Para is enough... some essays ... not all of them though... he drops one essay. and drps 3 quiz

Great professor!! Take him for Econ if you can. He comes on a little strong but he really knows his stuff. His tests are made up mostly from the quizzes, but there is usually some extra questions from the book. Study the book and you'll do fine.

Tony is a great teacher. He is very smart and funny. He knows that what he teaches is a dry subject so he tries hard to get students interested and discussing modern topics. I would love to take him again, and I also suggest that you take him if you have not.

This was a really tough class for me. The teacher is nice, but don't let that make you think it is an easy class. It gets alot harder as the semester move on

I took Tony for Personal Finance. I loved his enthusiasm for the subject, it helped me get up for class. His class taught me a lot, plan on taking him for Macro and Micro.

He is a nice guy and will help you, he wants you to succeed. He is crass, and if bad language doesn't bother you then you should be fine. Economics is not in my degree plan, therefore it is hard for me to understand. Learning the graphs and policies is difficult, especially for someone w/ no interest.

The easiest teacher i have ever had in college. He wants u to argue w/ him if u don;t agree w/ him on any quiz&exam questions or papers, which i did and got the grade that i deserved. Economics is not History. There could be more than one answer.

Took him for macroeconomics. Allows 1-sided half page cheat sheet for all tests but the first. Of four essays, one of them can be dropped, and two quiz grades can be dropped. He is pretty crass, but hilarious. I would take him again. He does actually look for cheaters, I saw several people get flunked for it.

Tony is so funny! Take 4 tests. Final not comprehensive. Must read chapter ahead of time so he doesn't get mad when we don't know what he's talking about. Lots of individual thinking required. Essay over a topic of his choice necessary but easy. Not an easy class, was hard to comprehend but I still made an A.

Tony was awesome!.. I actually did not mind going to his class cuz I was so entertained. If you go to class and somewhat listen to what he is saying everything will make sense. The tests are simply the quizzes just some questions are reworded. EASY! Oh and he HATES cell phones dont get caught with one!

Amazing!Tony read us a Dr.Seuss story on the first day. Throughout the semester you will see video clips pictures some movie clips and entire episodes of popular shows. You must understand EVERYTHING he does has a reason and means something so pay attention take good notes. Class is an easy A if you do the work & come to class he is an easy grader.

Excellent teacher. A little ADHD but brings energy and excitement to what most would consider dry subject matter. I highly recommend this teacher. Don't even think of using a cell phone in his class though, he will kill you and eat your soul!

I love Tony! The class is not easy, but he really wants you to succeed. He helps you and as long as you attend class, you'll do great! He's one of my favorite teachers, and I'm taking him again next semester for micro!

He is one of the funniest teachers I've had by far. I learned a lot from him, especially how to be RICH! :). He's really enthusiastic and is answers every question you ask. The work is easy... all you have to do is show up to class.

Excellent teacher! He has a lot of energy and makes the subject very interesting! He is great at relating things to real life so that you can really grasp the concept. He also gives great advice on how to become rich!

Took him for macroeconomics in 2006 and microeconomics in 2011. Awesome instructor! Multiple choice tests and a few case assignments. Very energetic and knows his subject thoroughly. Truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. The material can be difficult at times but the textbook and Tony make it digestible. Highly recommended!

Awesome class, if you want to be debt free and have a good retirement, this is the class to take. Tony makes it easy to understand and if you follow what you learn, you'll be set for life and ready for any situation. This is a must take class.

great teacher if you like to think outside the box, he will definitely push you to it anyway. Not an easy class, I tried my best and got a B and I'm a straight A student! but I was proud of my B because like I said it's not easy and you are challenged

Tony is awesome!!! His lectures are very entertaining and informative, and he really cares about his students! He gives easy take-home quizzes after each chapter and let's you have cheat sheets for exams. And he's a really great guy!! I would definitely take him again!!!

He is a strange person but he is so awesome! One of my favorite teachers or professors of all time. Funny in a strange way. Talks fast but is a great teacher. Quizes are DIRECTLY out of the book, if you read it you will get 100% on every quiz!! Ask for help if you need it but read the book first and honestly you probably wont need help. Easy class.

The best professor I have ever had. Great foundation for all the rest of my business classes. I would advise everyone to at least go meet the man. I wish I could take him for all my business classes. Tests are based off weekly (word for word out of the book) homework assignments. Should be a very very easy B.

Tony has a lot of real world knowledge in this Personal Finance class. He gave tidbits of great information that will last a lifetime as long as people can implement them. He can come across harsh at times but it's nothing personal. DO NOT PLAY ON YOUR PHONES!! Be respectful and he'll teach you a lot about very important things.

Tony is great. He has a great sense of humor. Lectures are fun and he usually will let you out of class early. Tests are pulled from quizzes. ADVICE... Buy a lot of Scantrons and for the love of God, turn off your cell phones in class. He will kick you out of class if he sees you using it. I'm not joking, STAY OFF YOUR PHONE!

O'Conner has an attitude so be careful not to use your phone or back talk him and you will do great. He gives take home quizzes almost every class period but they really help for the tests.

You will have no other professor like Tony. He truly gives you a chance to pass his class. Just don't play on your cell phone or he will smash it. Not kidding he will kick you at all if your playing on it more than three times. Poor girl in the back had this happen. Micro and Macro were great. Macro harder for me personally, it was more graphs.

Tony is the man! If you pay attention the class isn't to hard. He is very funny and I have never had a hard time listening to his lectures.

Almost every class he assigns an (open book) take home quiz, so if you miss class you have a 0 on that quiz but he drops two quizes. He lets us use a cheat-sheet on the tests, there are 4 all semester. He keeps his lectures entertaining and you will never fall asleep. He is willing to help students after class. He does not use Blackboard.

I have never been more engaged or interested in a class than in Tonys. He makes the material extremely understandable and relatable.

Tony was a great teacher. He was funny and made the lectures interesting. There were take-home test every class, but the answers came directly out of the book. And the tests were like the quizzes. If you actually do the work and study well for the test, you should do good in the class.

Tony is awesome! He's funny and super entertaining. If you ever don't understand what he's talking about he'll explain himself in greater detail after class. He does frequent "quizzes" (super easy- basically free points) and four major tests. The major tests are also easy as all you have to do is read the book.

Tony is very funny and makes his lectures enjoyable and entertaining, but... hes not a great teacher. I hate to say that cause hes an awesome guy but he doesnt teach information that well and his handwriting is pretty bad so its hard to understand graphs he does when he illustrates them. He goes very fast in his lectures and wants cooperation.

I was dreading taking Macroeconomics but I looked forward to going to Tony's class! He is hilarious and entertaining. He teaches about real-world situations and makes the course relevant. If you pay attention in class and don't skip you should pass. Take notes and study for tests. Warning: do not plan to be on your cell phone in class.

He usually gives out a take home quiz every class period. Those add up to be the most of the test questions on his tests. The final isn't comprehensive. He give some extra credit out and he's hilarious and doesn't care what people think of him. He's a smart teacher and does his job pretty good. He obviously loves his job and I respect him for that.

Tony is a really good professor he does require more homework but makes up for it with extra credit if you do the homework and then presents it to the class. All test are open book, open note. There are two projects that if you do it then you'll more than likely get an A on. He Hates cellphones also don't be late he gripes.

Hands down best professor Ive ever had. You MUST go to class to pass, he doesnt put any material online. His lectures are very energetic and engaging, if you pay attention youll learn a lot in this class. Genuinely cares about the success of his students. Also stay off your damn cell phone -he will kick you out of class for cell phone use

He is kind of old school but that is a good thing in many ways. If you go to class and do the homework you should pass easily. The homework isn't hard and he pulls most of the test questions from them.

Hilarious, knows what he is talking about with real-world examples, will make you food and bring it to class. If you get the chance, please take him, you won't regret it unless you can't get off your phone. Then you will regret it.

He is going to make you think about all the dumb crap your parents, politicians and the media taught you about economics. Buy the book and read it before coming to class. Also create and plan some study groups for the math portions.

Professor O'Connor is easily one of the best professors I've ever had. He's light-hearted, fun-loving, but also very caring, inspiring and approachable. His class was easy so long as you either show up to class or read the textbook. The weekly tests were based directly on textbook language, making it easy to learn whilst clear and concise.

I took Professor O'Connor for an online course, so I was unable to experience his in-person teaching. However, his online course was very straightforward and clearly laid out. It was about four hours of work a week. He is very willing to help and is as involved as he can be in an online course. Very doable for an online section.

Definitely my favorite professor this semester in what I thought was going to be my worst class. He has a great sense of humor and gives his students a hard time but obviously cares about them underneath it all. The class itself was easy too as long as you read the chapters and do the practice questions in the book before taking quizzes.

Great professor, he makes lectures really interesting and easy to listen to. Almost all of the homework/quiz questions can be found in the text book. The textbook has pretty short chapters and gets to the point which makes it easy to read. As long as you read the textbook you should do pretty well in the class.

Tony its difficult but he cares about his students. Took him for Macroeconomics and had to take him again for Financial Accounting. He gives a lot of work but nothing too difficult. His online classes are way more easy than lectures. I recommend him a lot.

The only way to succeed in this class is to read the textbook and show up to class. Most of the test and quiz questions come from it. The class consisted of 5 tests, quizzes for each chapter, and very small assignments here and there. Show up to class because sometimes he just hands out free points. He will not take late grades at all, beware.

Tony gives engaging lectures and will answer any questions if you need help. Tests and quizzes are all based on the textbook and he will go over answers for you. I recommend taking him if you get the chance.

Tony is a great professor who, is very passionate about what he is teaching and brings that passion with him into his lectures. You'll have to do the assigned reading to succeed in his class, but you will learn a lot. Plus, there is very little homework.

Tony is a bit of a curious professor in that towards the beginning of the semester he frustrated me due to numerous borderline sexist remarks, but after a month I found him to be very engaging and effective. His lectures are clear and enthusiastic, he can be very funny in a dad sort of way, and his enjoyment of life shines through in his work.

Tony was a great online professor! He sent out numerous reminders for deadlines each week and I felt he cared about our success. The downside was SO much homework. Every week there were 4-6 McGraw assignments, and a test bi-weekly. TAKE NOTES ON QUIZ AND HOMEWORK QUESTIONS... that's what made up the test each week!!

[Taken Spring 2022] He will give you investment advice. Will also throw a stress ball at people's heads if they look at their phone. Played Futurama in class. Alluded to being on crack. Told tons of life stories. And, most importantly, actually taught us economics instead of making us look it up on Quizlet. Do yourself a favor and take this class.

Tony is one of the best professors I've had at this school. His class is easy and straight to the point. He gives a clear study guide for the tests and if you follow it you should have no problem. It can seem like a heavy workload, but if you give yourself the time it should be a breeze.

I had Tony for an online class and he still managed to make it fun! He was very engaged with the class during the week via announcements and he always sent out reminders when a due date was approaching. I really did struggle with accounting but, Tony is there if you need help. His zoom lectures were very helpful and hilarious!

Tony's homework is very fair, and he's open to questions. He's energetic and makes lectures entertaining. He really cares about students' success (not just in his class, but also in personal finance). Definitely come to class and be willing to volunteer for extra stuff. He's happy to give out extra credit if you put in just a little more effort.

Tony is hands down my favorite professor at TCC. He knows his stuff and will challenge you to think outside the box. The material he teaches can be boring for some, but he knows how to make it interesting and keep his students engaged. Take lots of notes, ask lots of questions, and get ready to learn! If you like easy classes, don't take Tony!

Tony has been my favorite professor. He is very engaging and has a great sense of humor. Technology is not allowed in the class; everything is done on paper. The tests can be difficult, and studying is non-negotiable; you will fail if you don't put in the effort. But you are given all the tools needed. If you struggle to stay engaged take Tony.

He's good, but he's harder than most. No notes on exams, which are in paper. Rely heavily on the textbook, because he can go on a ramble sometimes (even he said most of what he says is bs!). He's energetic and passionate. Likes to scare you, but don't be intimidated. No projects/assignments, just quizzes (due every class period), and exams.

The final test is very hard; you will do it in the testing center, without any personal notes. Be ready to memorize a whole book.

Tony is absolutely amazing! I took him for financial accounting and loved it! The course is set up so that you actually learn things, not just memorize it for a test. It's very time consuming, but worth it. I recommend watching the lectures. He is hilarious! Definitely cares about his students. Do the extra credit at the beginning for easy points.

He was an amazing professor, he made his lectures enjoyable. He gave quizzes every class period and the tests were taken from the quizzes mostly. Read the book and pay attention in class and you will do good in his class! He also brought homemade cookies for the final and they were SO good.

I honestly thought this was going to be the worst class this semester. However, it was my favorite one. He is a brilliant professor who cares about his classmates. The ONLY thing I did not like was that he brought up politics in his first session. I don't care who you voted for, and you shouldn't care who I voted for.

Tony is a very outgoing and "loud" professor. He gets upset if he sees a phone or electronics, but he genuinely is a good person. I think his way of teaching is very fast-paced, and you will not pass the class if you don't read the textbook. An A in this class is doable, but you have to work hard for it!

Best professor ever! Super funny, cares about his subject, responds to emails quickly (or if not, it's specified in the syllabus). Easy and interesting work+super good cookie recipe! It's very sad he is retiring, TCC is losing one of their best professors.

Awesome professor. He's a little brash and doesn't hold words back, but he has one of the best personalities I have seen in college. I retook this class to replace a failed grade from much earlier, and even though I changed majors to Bio, I found it more interesting this time around. It's a big loss to the school that he's retiring.
