Tony is really good guy, but don't be fooled: his class is difficult, but he tries to appease everyone. Tests are moderately difficult, and the homework may be a little too hard, but I highly recommend him because he makes you apply your knowledge of the concepts.

Tony is a good guy, although kind-of goofy, and generally helpful if you go to him, but his class is pretty difficult- the homework is a lot harder than it needs to be and the tests are pretty difficult as well, all essay-type questions. Don't take him if you want an easy A; however you will learn.

I got an A in the class but it wasn't that easy. The main problem I had with his class was that some of the questions on the test would be a little ambiguous. I would answer the question but forget some minor detial, which would be what he was looking for. Plus the aids grade his tests which sucks.

Tony is always willing to help a student in need. Even though his lectures are quite large, he learns everyones name and treats them as equals. He will do anything in his power to help you, just as long as you ask him. The tests are somewhat easy, it just depends on how much effort you put into studying.

I found he doesn't know how to teach this class. Maybe he's better for the lower-level, simplistic classes, but not for genetics. Most of the students hated the class because of his teaching style. He is an unfair grader, hence screwing with grades! Avoid taking him for genetics.

Great lecturer and is really knowledgeable about the subject, BUT I almost failed his class because of how picky he is. I knew I had to change majors after taking Bio 108. I had other people in my class that loved the class and did decent, so maybe I just sucked.

I really recommend this professor. He does grade pretty hard, as he is very detail oriented, but you will learn a lot in this class. In general, he is pretty quirky but in the best way, making his lectures much more interesting. He cares a lot about ensuring students understand the information, and goes the extra mile by having review sessions.

Dr. Weisstein has a unique kind of humor that takes some getting used to, but he is a fun professor to have. He gives thorough and informative lectures. He tries to get his students involved in the lectures. His tests are reasonable, but he does require a lot of depth to your answers.

One of the best lecturers at Truman; Dr. Weisstein has a way of putting complex concepts in its simplest components. He's passionate about learning and teaching, and his class, despite being out of my depth, was actually quite interesting. Major downside, though: he takes forever to provide feedback. One midterm, some homework, and a final project.

Some of the assignments were more busywork than computational. Grades were not in blackboard until the end of the semester, which made it hard to know where you stood. Full understanding of the material was expected only by reading the book and graded before class discussion. Dr. Weisstein is a good professor, though he is not my personal favrite.

Overall, he's a great teacher. He is passionate about what he teaches. He is very detail-oriented. He does sometimes pick on students to participate, so be ready. Attendance is mandatory, but he is understanding if you email him beforehand. Prepare yourself for some bad puns. The only downside is that he takes a while to grade.

It was hard to know what he wanted from you. The test were unnecessarily hard, and he's a tough grader. You can never get full points because he is looking for such a specific answer. Also, he is a slow grader, and I had no idea what grade I had in the class until it was posted.

Weisstein really cares about his students' learning. His class is homework heavy, but he's clear about what he expects on homework/tests and is always willing to answer questions. You work for your grade, but you definitely walk away feeling like you learned something. Does not always grade or respond to emails quickly though.

I really enjoyed his class! By far one of the best lecturers I have had and he made biology easy to understand through metaphors. Pretty funny dude and makes lab enjoyable. His tests are difficult, with a lot of it being written, but if you study you can do well. He does take a while to grade stuff, but he is easy to ask questions. Overall great!

Professor Weisstein was a fantastic lecturer. I felt like I learned tremendously every time I left the classroom. His tests, however, are unreasonably and unrealistically hard--and he is glad in that fact. The only thing worse than having a professor who wants you to do badly on his tests is one that concurrently makes them worth 70% of your grade.

I mean, I like Professor Weisstein and he's a nice enough guy, but his way of teaching makes it difficult to grasp concepts. He expects you to have more background knowledge of biology than the average student would have for an intro bio class. The class seemed unnecessarily hard for a freshman/intro bio course.

Best Bio107 prof!! It was a hard class, but as long as you put in the work studying for tests, going to tutoring sessions/office hours, and actually attend class, you won't have to worry! He's a great guy and is so good and helping students understand concepts. Can be a picky grader when it comes to wording etc, otherwise 100% recommend.

Professor Weisstein is an excellent but thorough professor. He cares about his students succeeding, but the course material is in-depth and tests make up a LOT of your grade. Dr. Weisstein is the best for 107 and 104. He goes in depth during lecture, which prepares you well for upper-level bio classes. He's great at explaining difficult concepts in ways that undergrads can understand. Main cons are that he takes weeks to grade and that he likes to cold call. Work hard, and it'll show in your grade.

Dr. Weisstein is one of the most frustrating professors to have at TSU. His exams are ridiculously difficult, especially for a 100-level class.
