easy if you like the mariners
Excellent Class, Very Friendly!
Awesome class, lots of bar references and stories, very easy, sit back and enjoy the ride
Best teacher ever! Fun, makes class fun... way laidback, but is down to buisness when he needs to be... Take a class of his, you won't regret it!
muscle mass doesn't match with his clothing atire, good class though
if you could only see where he lives. he's fresh out of school himself! fun class.
Awesome teacher, very clear in his teachings while still keeping a relaxed class. Jokes around, not much homework, just speechs and tests. Gives you all the necessary info for tests, just take notes on that day.
Awesome teacher for the subject... really has a lot of fun and not to heavy on the homework! Highly reccomend him!
Tony is the easiest teacher ever. I've had middle school classes that were more challenging than this one. His classes have great dynamics because he makes a point for all of us to get to know each other. And he's nice to look at!
Very fun, energetic, interesting teacher. Good material, good lecture styles, Only Easy if you read the material, which is easy to read. If you don't do any reading, expect a D or C
He is so cool! He's a really awesome teacher. He's friendly and helpful and tries to make everything easy for you. He's a pretty easy grader and usually ends up giving free extra points on quizes. He is one of the coolest teachers I've ever had!
I love this man!! This is a great class and very enjoyable.
I took his class 4 years ago and still remember how fun it was.I got to know everybody and I still see them around every once in a while(I am at Western now).I remember stressing out for the speeches you had to do in front of class but his teaching style makes them easy/fun/and non stressful.I see him out at the bars quite often- he is awsome.-Pete
Great class great teacher
all around cool guy and good teacher. Actually makes you want to go to class. I was/am very uncomfortable with speech classes and he made it non threatening and fun.... tony rocks!

TONY IS THE****!!! Easily one of the best profs and nicest people I've ever met. He loves what he teaches passes that on to the student. I left the class feeling like we were a big family. He was able to make an entire class into a group of friends. TAKE A CLASS WITH TONY! He is so good he should be teaching the teachers!

Tony's a great teacher, I'm taking my second class from him as of this quarter and it's great. He actually makes you want to go to class. He's a fun guy, very friendly and make the class so comfortable, especially when you have to do speeches. The last class I had with him everyone was like friends in there.
great class, great guy, makes a boring subject interesting and fun!!
best classroom atmosphere that i've ever experienced, great guy, the doc loves his goatee and plays w/ it quite often, makes class fun and not dreadful, cool class, great teach!
Great teacher. He's an easy-going guy, who loves to talk about his adventures the "night before." He grades on a curve, gives a study guide, and tells you EXACTLY what is going to be on tests.
He made this a long and boring course. Can beat a dead horse forever seemingly ever. Cannot stop at one or 2 examples, keeps going and going and going and... You get the point. Watch out for the tests. They are very confusing multiple choices where you think any of the 4 could be the answer--even after you've read and studied the material.
I took this as a 3 credit class, so it wa pretty easy. It is fairly simple stuff and is not really hard to understand. One problem was that on tests, Tony is not very specific, and some students complained that it was confusing. However if you just ask Tony to explain, he will definately help alot. Only 3 tests, last one a take home. Recommended.
Tony has a very low key, almost humble approach to teaching, which sometimes belies the fact that he is very knowledgeable about the subject. This was a fun class. The test were multiple choice and there were a couple of short writing assignments. Lots of fun interaction with classmates.
the material wasn't tough, but when i went to take the tests it was the difference between night and day. He would try and trick you with different questions. I studied and studied and studied, it didn't matter i always got C's and B's. And he bases everything on the tests so if your a bad test taker then you will do bad. Tests were MC,matching-bad
Oh geez.. I'm sorry, but this was among one of the worst teachers I've ever had.. I honestly didn't learn anything and there was no real way to prepare for the tests. This class was not serious AT ALL, so I guess if you want to get some easy credits .. take this class ..
I took 105 for 3 credits. I didn't enjoy the class or the Prof. His teaching is very unclear, and he rambles on. Says the same thing over and over. His tests are m.c. but they are confusing and hard to do well on. He comes off as easy but the tests are hard. Lectures most days some pointless activities. waste of time ALWAYS takes attendance!
tony's a pretty laid back guy. his class was fun and easy. i bombed the first test but then did ok on the 2nd n 3rd n got a b+ in the class, only downside..he takes attendence all the time.
He is very helpful and if you show any interest but cannot quit do all of the class work he will find alternative ways for you to get credit. Example attending a public speaking lecture. I found his teaching style amazing!!
Tony's a great guy. The class was very relaxed, you really get to know the other students through the activities. The tests you need to study for, but it's easy because he gives you a complete study guide.
Tony does a good job. Classes are fun; Tony is really laid back and likes to joke around. Make sure you take notes during lectures because a lot of the stuff he tests on isn't in the textbook. The tests are fairly difficult (confusing) for multiple choice, so study hard! Overall great teacher.
This is a FUN class! Lots of activities, and minimal notes (that are easy to follow). The TESTS, however, are tricky...but he gives you a full study guide of everything that's going to be on them. So go over the entire study guide, and you're golden!
This was a fairly laid back and interesting class. It's also pretty easy to get a good grade in if you show up and pay attention. The tests were difficult but he tells you what will be on them so as long as you take notes and read the relevant parts of the text you can do pretty well on them.
You have to go to calss or else youll get a bad grade, but Tony is super nice and its worth it. His tests are fairly easy if you show up to class. If you do that you dont even have to read the book. Very easy class, very nice guy
really likable guy and is really cool
He was not good at lectures they were unclear. The review was the most important class to attend or you would fail at the exams. I learned nothing, but then it was not time consuming either.
I thought his class was really enjoyable- he tells funny jokes and it's very stress-free. I really liked that Tony told the class exactly what would be on the exam and made sure it was all covered in class. He's a laid back, really nice guy. I definately recommend his class.
Very likable personality and is very informed in his field, however you can easily skip his class and not pay attention when you do attend. he plays favorites to a painful extent and although I received a good grade I still felt like others who did less work than me received grades they did not deserve.
Very likable guy who is very into his subject. Would recommend him!
Tony was a great teacher, very laid back. He was always willing to stay after class to answer questions or clarify parts of his lecture. Always available during his office hours. Very fun class, made it interesting.
soooo hot ;)
fun class
Awesome dude! Really funny. Super nice guy. Fun class.
Dr.Tone is the man. Tight class!
easy class
Great teacher, funny guy. Love his class.
Dr. Dub is probably one of easiest teachers to talk to at Whatcom which is good considering he's a communication teacher. He uses plenty of examples to relate the material, and his classes are very interactive. You should read the textbook if you want to do well on the tests, but it's an easy read. As in all speech classes, you do a few speeches.
Tony creates an environment that feels comfortable to interact in. You can sit in the back and memorize material, OR sit closer and try what you're learning. Both seemed to be okay. Great info for use in business, non-profits, or project management!
Great prof, very easy going, outlines everything you need to know to do well in the first class. No surprises. Funny, reasonable, a pleasure to listen to. Don't miss the exam review, he goes over every test question. You have *no* excuse if you bomb one of his tests. Show up and participate, and you'll do well.
Not a challenging class. Dont need to study, he says every question that'll be on the test and some of the answers. so you're really slacking if you don't do well in this class.. his little quirks are hilarious to listen to. he enjoys coming to class. he's fair and clear about expectations! recommended
Simplest class I've taken! This man knows his material inside and out, and is more than happy to try to help you learn it. Tests are amazingly easy, he goes over every question on the day prior to the test, and does a bell curve on the off chance someone doesn't get a perfect score. Strongly recommend you talk to him outside of class.
Tony is the man! very nice guy, goes out of his way to help..make sure you study for the test they can be a little tricky. but otherwise easy A so easy..
TONY IS THE MAN!!! he goes over the answers to the test questions the day before the test, and if you're sitting there looking blank, he will come up and tell you that answer "A" looks good to him!! and he has an awesome beird!!! and goes to the gym with me ... love you tony
Tony is a great professor! He loves what he teaches, is very down-to-earth, and told us exactly what would be on the tests so we would be ready. He realizes public speaking can be stressful for some and accommodates that by making class fun and interactive for people to get to know each other.
Tony is one of the easiest and most chill teacher's I've ever had. He creates a relaxed and friendly classroom environment, engages his students in actual conversations, gives you the questions he's going to ask on tests (sometimes gives answers too). I'd definitely recommend him to anyone.
Chillest teacher ever! He knows what he's talking about and is always down to help. He lets you know what will be covered on the test the day before. BEST. PROFESSOR. EVER. Ps. he has a cute beard too
Great experience. Class went by quick because he was full of stories and made the class interesting. Highly recommend this professor.
Manages to get everything covered, but time-conscious students will cring when he's still talking football and taking attendance twenty minutes into class. Great for the last class of the day- relaxed, entertaining. We got to know and feel comfortable around our classmates early, which helps b/c the 1st speech is in 2nd week of class.
SOOOO FREAKING SEXY!!!!
Best teacher ever, I'm in his class now and look forward to going every day. He's funny, personable, and incredibly intelligent. His beard is awesome, just saying... Everyone should take this class. Pretty sexy too.
His personality makes him very attractive, also a blast in class <3 great teacher!
Take a class with Tony! He makes public speaking less stressful and intimidating. Fair grader and makes sure you mingle with fellow classmates a lot. Super fun!
It has been said that Tony hasn't shaved his beard in years; however the truth is quite the opposite. The Magi of Communications shaves daily, but through badassitude his beard regenerates in full before sunrise. His maniless is a sight to behold, and is fueled on a diet of only the most manly foods; corn nuts, coke and a steady stream of Rainer.
Definitely the best teacher I've ever had. If you try at all you will get a good grade. Tony makes the material interesting and is very approachable. I HIGHLY recommend him :) plus it doesn't hurt that he's smoking hot AND a cougs fan!
Tony was the nicest teacher I've ever had. He is approachable and makes the class room environment really friendly, which helps if you don't like talking in front of people. He's also hilarious and has lots of stories to help keep the lectures interesting. I would recommend taking his class 10000000%!
Tony is interesting and nice. I can't say he's my favorite because I didn't really like his teaching style. I prefer classes to be more fast paced and he goes kind of slow. It's very easy, though, and definitely a nice class to take if you're taking hard classes with it.
The easiest class I have ever taken. He makes it very easy to succeed and the trade-off is that class is slow and fairly dull. Tony is nice and silly and likes what he does. Just don't expect to go very deep into the material, at all.
I wish I would have taken this class with someone else. Tony Will is a nice guy but don't expect to learn much in this class. If you actually care about learning in school, choose a different professor. I wish I hadn't taken his class.
A lot of information, wish spread out for more in depth in topics... . Tony is considerate and listen's to all students question, takes extra time to answer these before moving on with lectures.... Vary informative class and would recommend others to take his classes....
Put my pencil in his majestic beard. 1010 would take again.
Really awesome instructor in the fact that he gives great feedback and will be there for you if you want him to be. He is very respected by others and is enjoyable to listen to. There are about 4 exams nicely spaced throughout the course and 1 group (aka the whole class) presentation at the end of the quarter. Make sure you show up and participate.
Tony is a funny guy. His class is not the hardest and don't expect to learn too much, but it was fun and entertaining. If I had to take the class over, I wouldn't even buy the textbook. I didn't read it once. I took good notes on his lectures and was able to do well on the tests using nothing but those. He gave extra credit for perfect attendence.
Tony Will, he's an alright teacher, I personally wouldn't take his class again. Just because I wasn't getting a connection vibe from him. Though he does try his hardest. You will learn something if you didn't know it already, it's a good class to take if you have trouble talking to other people. He doesn't force homework on you but it's a must!
If you have the opportunity to take a class with Tony, DO IT! Classes are entertaining, lectures are manageable, and tests are doable if you study. But Mr. Will's humor is what really packs the punch. Never had a better experience in a classroom before or after.
Really nice teacher one of ma fav. He always made ma day. Tests were easy. Fun story teller.
By far the easiest class I've ever taken. He was nice and had some good stories to tell. But I wish he would have stayed on topic more. By the end of the quarter, I felt like I didn't learn anything.
Tony is very laid back. He tries to make his students comfortable, and encourages interaction outside of class. I learned a lot about how small groups function in this course! The best part was how easy it was to stay engaged and learn! I should also mention that I am a running start student.
Tony is such a great guy! His class was a lot of fun, and he does a good job sticking to his lectures. He explains the plan for each day, and tends to tell great stories throughout the class. Exams are pretty simple and almost entirely multiple choice. The class before an exam, Tony does a review session. Go to it.
If you are looking for an easy A I suggest this professor. He tells you the questions and answers to the exams ahead of time. Don't bother with the book unless you want to teach yourself what he fails to include during class. 85% of his lectures are very detailed stories about his life or his opinions on current events. Not worth the time or money.
Tony's super fun and hilarious. He interacts and enjoys talking to his students. He has good lectures and there is a lower amount of class material so it's an easy class. My only complaint would be that he grades super tough and his tests are really hard.
Tony is quite the character. He makes jokes that sometimes only he thinks is funny but he puts in solid effort everyday with every one of his students. His lack of IT skills and complete disregard of Canvas is irritating. Don't skip this class or you will not pass. Heavy lectures and notes. He does have a very nice beard.
Tony is a great guy with funny stories to tell. Even though he tells jokes in class, he still knows how to be serious when needed and teach the material. I only opened the book right before tests which there were 3 of them. And day before test, he'll give you all the questions. I recommend this prof to anyone at WCC.
Tony's class is great. I see everyone saying they didn't learn anything but everyone takes something different out of his class. Yeah he's super chill and has stories but they always connect with what he was teaching. Show up, be interactive, use the study guide and you will pass.
Tony Will is a great professor. Easy A. He tells so many funny stories from his college days, but it always connects to what he's teaching. Make sure you do EVERY study guide. Also, he gives you basically ALL of the test answers on the review day. It's a really easy and fun class. Tony will make you laugh all the time.
Tony is great. He's really engaging with the class which makes him very approachable. He wants you to succeed rather than giving you busy work. The frat stories are a plus too!
Overall, I've enjoyed CMST 230 with Tony! Love how he thoroughly goes through material and love that he goes through the exam questions individually before the exam! Only complaint would be the class is only graded by a few things, so if you mess up one quiz it could put your final grade at risk.
Really great teacher. Super laid back and funny! Makes the class environment comfortable which boosts participation. Make sure you're there for review days and you'll do great in the class.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! It is a total waste of your money. This guy doesn't "teach" until the class is halfway over and then we barely did anything. I have learned nothing from his class except that it is a waste of my time. He should not be getting paid to stand there and tell stories. You'll be frustrated if you show up wanting to learn.
Kind, funny and unique guy. Gives good advice and explains things very well, especially for students that have trouble keeping up with fast lectures!
Tony is by far the best prof I have had in the 3 quarters I have been at Whatcom, he has tons of great stories and his teaching is very easy to follow and assignments are straight forward. Study guides were amazing and so was the class over all. Also, if you have a cool leather jacket you should wear it to class, he loves a good leather jacket.
Tony is extremely organized and a polished presenter, and he responds to emails. I wish he'd put his lectures on YouTube videos so we could devote class time to practical exercises/feedback and the group project. I wanted to actually become a better communicator, not just learn about communication theory, and I don't feel like I got much feedback.
Tony Is The Freaking Man! Hands down the best and friendliest Professor at the college! He tells great stories in class is very funny and ALWAYS wears a T-shirt shorts and flip flops. You could easily know him for an entire year and never see him in anything else. He is super chill and laid back! Must Take and basically NO HOMEWORK!!! GO TONY!!! :)
Tony is a great teacher and and guy. My only issue with his com 101 class is i learned a lot about communication theory, but didn't learn how to be a good communicator
Tony is the best prof I ever had. He is funny and tells amazing stories. His class is so easy and laid back there was only three exams and gives you the answer to them on the review day.
Tony is condescending, judgemental, mildly sexist, and doesn't actually listen to his students when they ask questions. Shows up to class 10 min. late every day. Half of the class is him talking about himself and the rest is poorly thought out outdated material (incorrect too) and lectures. Tests are confusing regardless of how much you study.
Show up late fifteen minutes every day and the only thing you will miss is the teacher discussing how much his cable bill costs, his workout routine at the gym, and the latest gossip around his condo board. It's an easy class, but the content he teaches could be done in half the class time if he could focus on what he's there to teach.
Tony is the worst teacher I have ever had. He was 10-15 minutes late every day and mostly talked about himself during lectures. What he did teach seemed outdated with sexist undertones. He would make extremely questionable remarks that made many of the female students uncomfortable. I am blown away that he is rated so highly and is still employed.
Tony is an amazing professor! His entire class is a blast; I was never bored or tired in it. He gives amazing lectures and taking notes was really easy to do. He gives you the exam questions ahead of time and they're really easy if you know the answers to those questions he gives ahead of time. The class project is okay... just do your part
Tony only wants to talk about one thing and that is Tony. Honestly I haven't learned much from his class because I have to tune out the stories of his condo association. He does lay out the material for us but he could probably stop bragging about his unimpressive life and use real examples that young people can relate too.
Tony is so full of himself and acts like he is the crown jewel of teaching. He is the worst communicator which is hilariously ironic given that he has a PhD in communication. He uses derogatory language, outdated material & covers it by saying that's his experience/opinion. He spends the entire class talking about his achievements, his condo, etc.
I loved Tony Will and thought he was a great professor. There was hardly any homework and the exams were easy. Contrary to other reviews about him, he was never late to class, and only talked about himself when he had a real life example of the topic we were discussing. The material was slightly outdated. You also don't really need the book.
One of the nicest teachers Ive ever had. Hes super approachable and accessible too. Main thing in this class was participations and tests but tests were easy since the reviews were perfect and you know exactly what youre going into. Learned a lot in this class too
Tony's class was so much fun. You learn a ton without even realizing it. He's really relaxed but you still need to put in effort to do well. I definitely recommend taking his interpersonal communications class.
Tony was awesome - we had one discussion due every week reflecting on the material(which was always a short chapter)proving that we had learned something. Super helpful, 3 exams in the quarter, but they are really easy and the answers are plainly in the lectures he posts.
He seemed unprepared and took a long time to grade quizzes and assignments Quizzes were submitted as text entries which was weird for an online course. There's no textbook only online PowerPoints amd "Lectures." The lectures consisted of one page of text.
Pretty light workload, some weeks you don't even have to do anything but read through the lecture. 1 group project, 3 exams that are pretty easy. Most weeks there's 1 discussion, those aren't hard either. He takes a while to grade, but isn't harsh. Just not very involved, I forgot I was even taking the class several times.
Tony never gave any feedback during this course. If a student missed points on a test, he didn't tell them what they got wrong. The class was easy, but I don't think I learned anything.
Dr. Will's course was a bit challenging with reading the textbook. The amount of reading we had to do and how long the chapters are is overwhelming. A trick that I learned was that if you read the chapter overview in Canvas then you would pass on the tests. I would take this however you want to if passing the course is all that is required.
Only had 5 assignments throughout the quarter, 3 were tests, 1 was attendance (3 points per class meeting, with two excused absences), and 1 was a paper-- definitely good if you're low on time. He does tend to go on side-tangents, but overall a good teacher.
this teacher has multiple tests and 2-3 speeches and a few discussion boards and thats it. make sure you read the material as all tests rely on your knowledge of the readings. fair grading on the speeches. he is very kind and wants you to do well in his class.
This class wasn't particularly hard, the material was easy and accessible. The only problem i had was with the professor. He was very snappy at students that weren't his favorite, made rude or just straight weird comments. he also doesn't understand what a belt is for, every single class we see his underwear.
Class was very difficult and attendance is mandatory. If you miss more than 2 classes, you will be dropped a letter grade. Exam questions will not be clear, and difficult to understand. You can take it up to interpretation and he will disagree with you. He rambles 60% of class and talks about useless and personal stuff not relating to the class.
the most pointless class i've ever taken. so boring, i had to bring little crafts to do and my airpods every day so i didn't scream. he never even talked about the content either, always rambling about his condo or who even knows what. unless you're one of his very few favorite students (typically a young cishet white boy) do not take his class.
Tony's CMST210 class was an interesting mix. The material was manageable, but the professor's teaching style divided opinions. To succeed, be prepared to tune out the tangents and use resources like the textbook and Unstuckstudy for study support.
Didn't learn a single thing. Never is on topic. Super boring. I'm sorry because he is a good guy but he wasted pretty the entire class every. single. day. Do not take his class. I wish he was a better teacher because he is a nice guy but he just is bad. He retells the same stories every class and never teaches.
he was kind of unclear on grading, we do weekly discussions that are worth points on Canvas but don't count towards grades but then there's "optional" Q&A discussions with no points but they are deducted from your overall grade. Also his online tests are a Canvas text box and he gives no feed back so you don't know what answers you got wrong.
As long as you are make an effort to participate, this class is extremely easy and fun to pass! I had a lot of chances to get to know the people in class with me, plus got extra credit for only missing a class or two. If a test question is giving you trouble (take home test) I would just ask for help and he'd help us all find what we need.
Didn't teach anything at all. Exams were hard and weren't clear. Sometimes the content aligned with the "lectures" but not often. Also only grades with exams, but doesn't assign actual real work other than discussion posts. I hear more feedback from my peers rather than from my professor. The textbook didn't make much sense or help me at all. ,
Super nice and entertaining, but you don't learn very much. He talks ALOT and goes over every point in absurd detail. Easy grading and as long as you participate you're practically guaranteed an a. highly recommend for short classes, hard to stay focused for anything more than 2 hours though.
