Crews gives very interesting lectures. In her human sexuality class expect tests, quizzes, and a paper. It's a bit of work, but c'mon it's human sexuality! There's worst topics to have to read about!

This was my favorite class EVER. She is very laid-back and knowledgeable. I had a blast. The more you get involved, the more you'll enjoy it. People with more liberal views will relate to her especially well. I can't wait to take Psych 305 from her now!

She is understanding makes learning fun, but lets you know that she is not there to play around.

This is by far my favorite class I've ever taken. She's a great teacher and makes class alot of fun. There's**** day....weird!! lol and all her exams are easy. There are a few extra credit things you can do. All take home quizes are easy. I highly recommend this class.

Tori is awesome!! She is clear, and as long as you do the study guide and you do the homework, you will pass. She makes the class fun so that you can understand it. She takes the time to answer your questions and she doesn't make the tests too hard. I loved her class!!!

Pointless to go to class; she just rambles on the entire time and the tests have NOTHING to do with her lectures. Stay home and read your book. You can ace the class without ever having to sit through one of her lectures. Oh, and the bonus is**** Day (which only happens at the end of the semester)

This has to be the easiest class I've ever taken! There's 4 tests(multiple choice) and the test questions are straight off the study guide. No Final either! Do your homework(EASY) and be in class for group assig.'s. You want an easy A? Here's your class! Have Fun!

Easy and fun online class..a lot of reading though in the summer.

After 4 years at ARC, I can assure everyone that she is the best teacher on Campus. She clearly answers to all questions and she is very helpful.

I can't say enough about what a great person and professor she is! I am EXTREMELY happy that I took this class with her and I can't imagine taking it with anyone else. I am ending my ARC career on a happy note as I make my journey to Sacramento State. There are a lot of crooked instructors out there and it's nice to know that ARC has an angel. :)

shes a great teacher

Pretty easy class. As long as you do the reading and go to class you'll probably get and A or a B. Very nice and flexible with students. Had her for 305 and human sexuality. The latter is a little bit harder but much more interesting. I recomend this class to everyone.

Interesting lectures, helpful and available to students, very experienced, good classroom control. If she needs a sub, she gets a good one. Requires texbook reading, moderate to easy exams, but you are expected to study. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Pretty interesting class. boring at times. she gave a study guide to each exam and there was no final. if you read the chapters then you will do good in her class.

Mrs. Bovard is amazing! she treats everyone in the class with respect, even if they are asking a stupid question. The lectures are very helpful, the book is great, and the movies are so much fun! Mrs. Bovard teaches with equality and understanding. If you study for the quizzes and tests you will do great. Highly Recommended!

I took 356 online. Her instructions were very clear and her banter with students was fun. I wish I would have taken it in class. I highly recommend taking her for this requirement!

Sexuality online. Don't take her. Ton of reading, 2 chapters weekly (50pages)+ 2 projects+ posts every week. Very time consuming. Prof. Slow Down!!! This is little too much! How about 1 chapter weekly, like teachers normally do? This could be a fun class, but instead she destroyed it! Too bad... Go with somebody who has normal standards.

As a person, she's very nice. As a teacher... she gives more work than any of my 5 other classes combined! 1 week could be: Rd 1-2 ch. (30+ pgs ea), work on major grp proj, take exam, work on term paper, leave multiple postings (requires researching a topic, reading articles, doing experiments, etc). Was excited about this class. Now I hate it!

great teacher, took psych 305 with her and learned alot, anyone not happy with this teacher needs their head examined and should look at their reasons for being in school. look forward to taking human sexuality next semester.

She's cool if you like the talkive type. Told us what was on each exam before it was due and you better show up everyday because you could miss alot of group work or hand outs.Never took the book to class after the first day, uses D2L for everything so check it everyday if not twice. Overall easy class if you pay attention.

Awsome teacher! She is fun, interesting, and fallows the sylliubus. Mostly multiple choice questions on exams with one essay question you pick out of two questions. Love, Love, Love this teacher.

Tory is a great teacher. She goes by a syllabus and you have to get the textbook. Tests mostly multiple choice, choice of one essay out of two. The best thing is she has great class management, no cell phones, no talking during lectures. Would highly recommend.

Good teacher with engaging lectures. 4 major tests and various groupwork/homework assignments. Pay attention in class, review what is on the study guides and you will do fine. I got a B and missed a few days and didn't read the book much, would be easy to get an A if you read and make all classes.

Tori is an amazing teacher who makes her morning classes worth waking up for. Her lectures are great, Powerpoint slides helpful, and she's alwayse smiling. I'm going to miss being in her class.

This Professor is AWESOME!!! She gave clear instructions and was always willing to help. She gave enough homework, but not too much. She made the class fun and interesting. I'm not a psych major, but I will take more classes if she's the Prof.

i took this class online , but as long as i read the book and did all the exercises i did fine. i would recommended her, online make sure to actually read all the directions , i would have aced the class if i hadn't of missed the first discussion!

This class was not my favorite. Cool lady but I thought she could have done more lecturing. She shows a lot of movies...seemed to me that she was just trying to get out of teaching...I would have preferred to listen to her lecture...but I'm more interactive in that way.

This was not an easy class. The tests are difficult a lot of information to absorb for each test. If anyone is taking her PSYC 356 online this summer, I have the book. Call at 916 928-7168.

Online Human Sexuality class was informative and educational Prof Tori is a good and fair teacher follow all her directions and should have no problem with material keep up with textbook and participate in group discussion posts tests can be hard if not prepared read textbook a lot this class will give you a better perspective.

Victoria "Tori" Bovard teaches one hell of an online class! She's very clear and gives extra credit opportunities. I got an A and I hardly studied. Tests can be tough if you don't at least try to keep up on the reading so you know where to find the information. The tests are not supposed to be open book, but it's an online class...

She was very nice and bubbly. Very interesting things I learned and easy overall. I recommend her for Psychology :)

Awesome teacher. Just got to read the book and just listen to what she is talking about. that's very easy because she is fun when she talks and lets people share their stories that a related to the topic of discussion. Very fun class and easy. You learn alot.

Awesome teacher. She's a great public speaker, keeps the class' spirits up, engages us in conversation, and makes learning fun. Exams were relatively easy, even though she would say it was an awful idea to not study and just use the book while taking it...never got anything lower than a B+ on one. Just take notes and pay attention and youll be good

This was such an awesome class and teacher. She is very helpful and the lectures are fun and entertaining. I would highly recommend the class. She does warn you not to use the book for every question on the online tests, which I found to be very true. Make sure you are reading the book and participating in lecture!

A simple, online course should not be this complicated. The amount of work required for three units include 4 posts every week, 15 timed quizzes (10 minutes) and four exams. While professor Bovard's enthusiasm is exemplary there appears no need to treat an online class like a face-to-face one. Regardless, she is very forthcoming and passionate!

I love going to class, its very educating. On the other hand tests are very hard, she expects you to remember things from lectures from weeks ago. Online test are timed, not easy, you've gotta read a lot, even if you read a lot and study a lot, its not a guaranteed A. I would take someone else, where effort gets you an A.

She was sweet and helpful. She got sick at the end of the semester and still was willing to take questions from the hospital. Her lectures are clear and she always makes sure to say something to make you remember.

Great Professor, shes really passionate and engaging about the subject which is a real plus. The class was hard to manage because it was a lecture hall with 100+ students and the class was constantly talking. Really fun class would recommend it to anyone

Prof B is awesome! She gives you so many opportunities to pass her class with a good grade. The book is meh, but what textbook isn't?! Her articles and slideshows are way more i interesting. It's easy to fall behind but keep up and you'll be fine.

Class is very fun and informative. Prof B's assignments are relevant to today's society, rather than other classes where it's outdated. Class is wonderful and I recommend all to take it if they haven't already; not only to complete a course for your major, but for a wonderful learning experience

Supplements with funinteresting UP TO DATE videos. No group project but you do have 4 different group discussion groups. Post up to 4 responses weekly! Some xtracredit. organized, clear, fun!

Professor B is great! Her instructions are clear cut and the subject is interesting so you'll want to learn. There are no surprises and she's willing to work with you when life happens. I thoroughly enjoyed her class and would definitely take her again.

Extremely fun class! A lot of fun lectures, guest speakers and sex panels. I learned a lot of interesting things and laughed a lot. Work is really easy if you read the text book, you only take online exams which are multiple choice and only one project is due. No homework (besides keeping up on your reading) Take this class, you won't regret it!

Such an easy class if you just do the work! 1 chapter to read each week with a 10 question quiz, 4 group discussion boards, and 4 exams. The content of the class is very interesting and discussion groups are fun and insightful. Such an easy and enjoyable class. I woul definitely recommend it!

Very eye opening class. Her exams are online, so it's also open note. Not hard to pass, though her lectures can run dry. Her panels are very fun and new. There's more discussion than lecture, so you're gonna need the textbook for the exams. She is lenient and willing to work with you if anything comes up

Professor B was absolutely fantastic! I would absolutely take her Human Sexuality class again! Her tests are on d2l and at home so you don't have to go to class the days you have exams. Her power points give you all of the necessary information to get an A on all tests. They are open note too! She doesn't give homework other than 1 easy essay.

Online course, very straight forward. One quiz & four discussion board submissions per week. One chapter to read per week along with supplementary videos and media articles. She gives plenty of time on quizzes and tests. There aren't any research or papers. Easy A if you read and define keyterms weekly

Fairly easy class. Just, please, make sure you read the textbook and comment on the discussion boards. This is how you pass. Other than that, it shouldn't be too much of a challenge.

Hilarious and great teacher. Only bad thing is I feel she shares her opinions way too much. Really interesting class though

She is very nice and confident. Easy A. Don't buy book, use in library. Test can be hard, but most answers are online. Three exams and one final. One project, which was easy. Does not let take notes in class on any device.

She was a great teacher and good lecturer. Towards the end of class we watched a lot of movies. I preferred when she lectures because it made the exams easier. The book is required and you have to finish a chapter a week which is pretty easy but honestly that was the part I hated. Only one paper and very easy. Overall great experience!

She was organized and clear about expectations for our weekly assignments, which is important in an online class. Lots of reading and videos, but not too much that it was overwhelming. Exams were somewhat difficult, with some very specific questions about videos/ articles. Overall a good professor.

Professor B, is such a knowledgeable professor, and her lectures were always a little off beat - and I loved it that way. It made the class more interesting when some of the topics just werent. You do the homework before class, so you already know the material. Professor B really knows her stuff, and is incredibly intelligent, great choice!

this was my first honors class and it was so easy and interesting. All the tests are online and open book. Really funny and good professor, amazing lectures. Cannot say enough good things about her!

Took her class online and it was a good class but the test/final is all about the videos and specific articles. Pay close attention to the PowerPoint that she gives. Textbook is on Revel. Otherwise she is a good teacher but like I said pay attention to the PowerPoint and videos given.

the tests are kid of hard, but they are open note. This class was very interesting I highly recommend. She curves the tests as well as final grade distributions. This was my second class with her and I absolutely loved it!

Took online summer class. 2 to 3 Ch. per week using revel online. Enjoyed the online book. Lots of additional articles and videos to watch. All very interesting. Tests include extra videos and articles. Tests are open note, but you must take TONS of notes. Tests are hard, but she is a good teacher. Fast to grade and respond. Very caring, and funny.

I loved taking her intro to psychology class! She's funny, informative, and really helpful. There's a chapter due every week and she has 3 exams that are online which are kinda easy if you attend class and read the chapters. The final was kinda rough tho.

Prof Bovard is a really good teacher. This was an honors class, so there was a lot of reading & work. Good discussions & group exercises. Uses videos and audio-visual. Receptive to feedback, respects and cares about students. One thing I hated was this "Proctorio" test surveillance system, she should dump that. But you'll learn here, and like her.

Best psych class I have taken in my college career. Very open and interesting discussions, the coursework was easy and exams were based on exactly on the materials provided. 8 week class is fast paced, but not overwhelming. Definitely recommend prof Bovard.

I took the 8 week course which ended up being online due to Covid. About 2 chapters per week, so be prepared to read and create your own study guide. You will take a quiz every week (even on test week). 4 multiple choice tests, no final. Easy writing assignment on Canvas due weekly.

This class was fine, I felt like some of the information presented in class was a little dated. Make sure to keep up with the Revel work, it sneaks up on you, and some of the chapters are really long. There is information from the videos and outside reading on the quizzes, so make sure not to skip those extra assignments. Can be an easy "A".

The class was clearly organized. Extensive reading and a quiz every week ($$) but its doable. A couple of small essays and discussions throughout the semester. 4 exams which also test on the required weekly slides. A final group project which is doable with the right group. If you do the work you will pass. She also replies fast.A fair&good class.

Professor Bovard is a great professor, I wish I had taken more of her classes and in person. The textbook choice is pricy but its good and interactive. Definitely learned a lot in her class and would take any of her classes again for sure!

I really enjoyed her online class. It's asynchronous, very clear grading system, but the exams are pretty hard. They are screen-proctored, but open note. Exams are timed however, so memorization of materials is needed. I really appreciated the organization of her class despite the online switch. She's on top of things and concise. Would recommend.

Strongly recommend taking PSYC300 with Professor Bovard. Syllabus makes the class seem stressful and may overwhelm you at first, however she is very organized and the way everything is assigned makes things very simple. The class is very lecture heavy and you have to read a lot, however other assignments such as online labs help to retain info.

A very interesting class, really think this is one that everyone should take for themselves! Keep a doc open side by side w/ the online book for notes while you read. Professor Bovard is an extremely nice and fair teacher. She truly wants all her students to succeed and she will help you with anything you might need if you email her. She's a super easy grader and she also drops 2 of your worst quizzes which aren't even that difficult, to begin with. If you're looking for a good psychology teacher, she is the one

If you are a pre-med student who is getting ready for an MCAT take this class!!! I found 85 percent of information on mcat exam exactly from her class material. Book is free and assignments are very interesting makes you actually think. Quizzes are every week (80 percent of the quiz from the book and 20 from the weekly videos.) Read EVERYTHING!

Took as an online class, wasn't very much work and was somewhat easy. The discussions and weekly "connect" work was very easy, but the exams are worth roughly 50% of the grade. All of the exams were curved, but nevertheless, still difficult exams with difficultly worded questions. Would take again.

She is one of the sweetest professors I've ever meant! Super easy class with light work, Bovard wants you to do well and is really understanding. There is one quiz a week with 10 questions and no homework besides studying the materials she gives out. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants less stress in their schedule.

I love Prof Bovard! Funny, sweet, and truly cares about what she's teaching. Her tests are the hardest part - open book, but firm time limit and she makes her own questions. Professor Bovard is awesome. Her grading criteria are straightforward; you only have to read the chapters and write an easy discussion. Her tests are not twisted but timed if you know your materials don't care about the time, and everything is simple. Take her; you won't regret it.

Pretty nice teacher. Most assignments are weekly Connect discussions, and they usually take an hour to finish. During exams, those Connect assignments are also due, so make sure to complete both the exam and the assignment. Overall, nice teacher!

Course was general ed requirement. Course was interesting, it felt like a perfect introduction to the world of psychology. At the 7:30 am class, she was energetic and funny even at that early hour! She is passionate on the subject and provides clear, entertaining lectures. Course work fairly easy. Do readings + take notes in lecture for good grade.

Professor Bovard's PSYC300 class is a great intro to psychology. The material is engaging, and she makes even the early morning lectures fun and energetic. While the coursework can be time-consuming, Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for study prep. Overall, a solid class I'd recommend.

I really enjoyed Professor Bovard's class. It was really interactive in spite of being asynchronous, yet still easy to maintain an A in. The exams directly corresponded with the material. If you put even a little bit of effort in this class, it is easy to both get a great grade and learn a lot about psychology.

She is an outstanding professor and cares about her students. I took a 7:30 AM class, but she always had excellent energy in the morning and made the class go by very fast and enjoyable. I recommend taking her class! She truly knows what she's doing!

Amazing, kind, supportive professor! 3 exams, 1 20-point XC opportunity, weekly misc. assignments (short writing, discussion post, etc.), and a weekly 10-question quiz. There is lots of reading in the textbook (I think it was free?), and other sources (TED Talks, articles, etc.) for each chapter. This class was fun and digestible! You'll love her!

I took this course online as a duel enrollment course. She's really sweet and responded immediately to emails. Quizzes due saturdays and all modules were posed on sunday.
