I love Dr. Stephens! His personality is great and makes every class interesting. His class is very lecture intensive but he posts them on Canvas so it's okay if you miss some information. Your grade is compiled only of test. He gives you 25 vocab words that you have to study and the test is matching. If you don't know the terms you won't pass.

If you need extra help go to his office hours and he will be willing to help. Show up to class, ask questions, and take good notes. You should have no problem with receiving an A. Overall he is a great professor.

Overall a great teacher. Absolutely hilarious, very well versed in the content that he knows, highly intelligent. Come to class, follow along with the notes, and do the work. Dr. Stephens is one of the hilarious teachers I've ever had. The class is test heavy but you will only go over content that is on the test, he gives plenty of practice problems before the test and that is essentially the class making sure you know the information.

The class is difficult only if you dont apply yourself. He teaches in a way that makes you want to learn more. Dont skip class or you will be lost! The only thing I disliked is he would teach a portion for like a week and a half then you take a test! Hes cool af tho!

No textbook is required. The way he breaks down the steps to solve each problem is VERY beneficial. He teaches at a fast pace, but no worries. He gives plenty examples of each concept before moving on. Miss only one class, and you will get behind.

Dr. Stephens is one of my faves at CAU. He is a easy grader, but you will have to submit an assignment or take a quiz every week. The class is only one day a week and doesn't last the whole period. He uses crazy language so if you aren't okay with light name calling do not take his class.

Absolutely a wonderful professor. Always cracking jokes, but truly is a great teacher. He wants you to learn and to be better in psychology and the coursework he does give indeed does do that! Make sure to do the work properly and be thorough because he does read and grade accordingly! Overall made me love meta-analysis and writing in psychology.

I had professor Torrance for Statistics I and passed with an A. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you don't attend class you wont pass. He works fast but pay attention and you'll be fine. He's funny and teaches in a way everyone will understand. Ask questions, he'll be more than willing to answer. No graded homework. Grades come strictly from tests

Literally one of the first college professors I absolutely adore. He is very straight forward with his grading and what needs to be done. It is lecture heavy I feel it is best to attend, but its not mandatory being that he posts his PowerPoints online. Honestly I highly recommend.

It started a little bit difficult, however, Professor Stephens made sure we covered the material carefully and taught at a good paced. He did not rush nor did he teach at a slow pace.

Second time taking Stats and Dr. Stevens made the material much clearer then previous professors. Def would take him again! Funny asl made waking up at 9 hilarious!

Every class something new is taught so attendance is definitely required. If you miss class, you need to get the notes because its going to be on the mock test and test. If you dont understand you should speak up as well because he will move on if no one says anything. Once you understand, the class itself is easy.

Professor Stephens has always been fair, caring and interested in us (the students). I enjoy taking his classes and always look for him when signing up for a course.

I took 2 classes for him this semester physiological psychology and statistics, he is a great professor! In CPSY415 it is lecture heavy but the test were online, in statistics if you miss class you may fall behind because the test are in person but he is a for grader and wants people to succeed. There was no official midterm or final!

This professor is very understanding and easy, it do not require al lot and his class is interesting. I would rate him a 9/10 but the only things is he only gives exams for credit.

Had him for a general psychology class online, then for my statistics class. It's an easy class, you just have to come to class because if you don't you will miss something and be behind. You will learn like two-three different types of data and be tested on those. But if you try and show your work on the test he will definitely give you points.

He expects you to be the adult and make rules on your own which is great. How we do in his class is on us.

He can be very brutally honest but he is a good teacher. He also talks and can be very engaging you have to be attentive.

You have to do the quizzes on canvas based on the modules he teaches in class and basically all the assignments we do ourselves, but they aren't hard at all. I'd recommend doing the quizzes as he goes through them and not waiting until they are due. This is a real cool class and he makes it fun with the type of humor he has.

Overall he was a good professor, test and work were online and weren't difficult. I would take the class again.

He was amazing not strenuous or anything. He didn't has personality that can seem like he is brutal but he means well and challenges us to be the best and to be more knowledgeable.

This professor is raw and uncut, reminds you of a family member, very funny and tells it how it is personality. Very lecture heavy, test heavy, and paper heavy however all work was manageable. He accommodated our class by being online for the first time. I would have enjoyed his presence in person though. Show up. Be accountable. You'll do great.

Stephens is a great professor he does really well at breaking everything down to the ability to understand, however, I didn't like the fact that I signed up for an in person Statistics class and he just moved it online making us come in only on days of tests. I do much better understanding math, explaining math when being taught in person.

Dr. Stephens is a great lecturer and adds humor to all of his presentations. He makes the information relatable and makes us apply them in our work. Our work consists of papers and quizzes. There are no midterms/finals. Just show up to every class, do the assigned readings/lectures, quizzes, and papers!

One of the best professors, just do your work and you will pass. He answers emails in a timely manner and is funny during lectures.

Pay attention

Very laid back and straightforward, most cases the course is open from the beginning and more work at your own pace ahead or stick with him in line with lectures and things but for the most part very easy going just do your work and ask questions if you have any. Highly recommend!

A ggreat professor

Mr.Stephens has become one of my favorite professors at Clark.The Class was online and I was able to go work at my own pace. He opens the floor up for questions after every lecture and he tells good jokes lol

He Made Learning Statistics Interesting. His methods (Having us participate in class, giving us practice problems, etc) allowed me to excel in the class.

Dr. Stephens is a highly knowledgeable and respected professor and researcher. I have great admiration for him, and I truly enjoyed being in his class. I can confidently say I wouldn't have wanted to take statistics with anyone else!

Its pretty explanatory and he doesn't grade homework but he does want you to do it for practice and he goes over examples in class.
