Torrey Glenn is an enthusiastic and upbeat instructor that makes learning a difficult subject enjoyable and easy to understand. She makes her expectations very clear and is very fair; and she goes out of her way to help her students. Her exams, however, are pretty tough. You better know your concepts, not just know how to do the homework problems

Torrey is great. I hear Armstrong goes too fast and another chem teacher goes too slow. She teaches at a steady rate so you have time to digest the material. She is always upbeat. There are quizzes every thurs and a hw assignment due each class, but it is all extremely helpful. Test re-works let you earn back 10% of your points lost!Highlyrecommend

Compared to my CHEM 101B professor (Dr. Su) Professor Torrey Glenn's teaching style was good but just wasn't good for me. The online textbook was too light, more formal general chem textbook is better. The online lectures were good but in person is better. I think a combo is the best way. Great professor for lab work though. Overall a great person

Took Fall of 2022. Torrey is a wonderful professor. Labs were easy and enjoyable. Office hours were very helpful. Exams pulled knowledge and skills learned from previous chapters, but this should be expected if you learned the material. Definitely would take again and recommend.

i honestly dont think she is the kinda of professor that is for everyone, she is truly apathetic and really just wants crying students out her face so i dont know what kind've person she is to deserve such praise when she as a professor only wants to skirt by her already high maintenance curriculum shes relied on since the beginning of 2020

Torrey is an incredible professor! She truly makes an effort to help you learn & succeed. And she's very organized! Very difficult course!! HW/lecture heavy w/ 4 exams worth 60% of grade. Ave. exam score is 65%. You must put in the time & effort to pass. Grading is tough, not unreasonable, & no late work. DC Benn (Chem tutor) is very helpful too!

Professor Glenn is a great teacher. Would highly recommend taking a class with her. Her lectures are clear, she explains all the labs and is supportive and ready to help during office hours. The class is not easy, I found it challenging but it made all the difference having her as the instructor.

Great hybrid course. The labs are clear and interesting; the lab manual is super helpful and well-structured. The exams are exactly what you learn. Torrey is very passionate about her subject and gives great explanations. The textbook is free of charge and well-structured as well. Highly recommended.

She is the best professor I've ever seen! She's nice and patient. If you have any questions, feel free to ask her! And I definitely recommend her supplement class. Also, she will gives some practice problems before your tests to help you prepare. It's an online hybrid class, which means you need to do the lab in person.

I liked Torrey personally, but I found the class fundamentally flawed and geared toward turning away as many students from the sciences as possible. Sure, practice tests are given, but they do not directly correlate to the test questions, which are as convoluted as humanly possible. I found it hard to demonstrate what I was actually learning.
