Ms. Norman's class covers all kinds of material. Her insight and experience have helped me understand the power of writing. The reading material has allowed me to experience a variety of authors who represent a variety of ethnic and cultural experiences. She is funny. You will laugh for days.

Torria was a great prof and i wound up in her class by accident and i wouldn't change a thing. She is upbeat, outgoing, and funny. She is very helpful when it comes to needing anything she is also very understanding.I cant wait for english 102 next semester. She expects alot and deserves it too.

extreamly fun, and interesting class, good person, almost always got out of class early, didn't learn a great deal, mainly just got some practice in writing, and she grades kinda tuff but is fair

Professor Norman is a wonderful teacher. She allowed me to flourish as a student.I took the online class and was able to write with so much creativity, she is a very good teacher. Very cultural. Recommended.

Okay whoever did not like Torria is rediculous... maybe you said something off the wall that made her not like you. That could be it. If you're interested in the class she's an awesome teacher, if not, she can tell.. and she probably won't like you. :o) But I loved her...

I had Torria over the summer and I honestly thought she was one of the best teachers I've ever had. She was funny and always had a new hilarious story to tell us. She was always excited about class which made me as well as the other students actually want to be there. I highly recommend if you are taking any English classes that she teaches to make sure you request her as your teacher.

I LOVE Torria! She is by far one of my favorite teachers. I had her for Eng 101, 102, and 206. She is hilarious, and teachers so well. I defintely learned a lot from her. I recommend her to anyone!!!! Best teacher ever!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome Teacher! A very nice, smart, and charming teacher. I had Torria Norman in a on-line class last fall '05, and I received an A for her class. A very down to earth person, and a Super English Teacher...5 stars. I wish there were more teachers like her, thanks allot Torria.

Torria is a great teacher. Her love for teaching is much more than any other I have seen. She enjoys teaching and noticing improvement in her students.

Torria is one of my favorite teachers. She is encoraging, insightful, and willing to help students. The classes were never boring and filled with interesting material. I usually don't like to take the same teacher more than once, but Torria was an exception. She is a great. I would take her for a third time if I had the oppourtunity. She is great!!

i took her 101 class and loved it. i couldn't get into her 102 so i took her black lit class 206 and now i am currently taking her 217 lit class and love it. she is an amazing teacher and love every minute of the class. recommend the classes to all. the classes are challenging, but college isn't supposed to be easy.

Torria is a great teacher in English. You will get a respectable grade if you put forth a little effort into all of the assignments. Exams are in Essay format and all assignments are turned in online. Grades very liberaly.

Prof Norman is very professional and serious about her students success. To everyone else, I recommend to take her class. You will be inspired and enlightened. My writing skills did improve!

Very helpful in making sure I become a much better writer. Prior to any English professors I had dropped all of them. Highly recommended. Just make sure you do the work she asks and don't give up.

Miss Torria will care about you just as much as you care about her class. If you wanna learn-she is the one you are looking for. I took her for 101,102 and black lit. Without her I would not be where I am today. I am eternally grateful!!!!!

Ms. Norman is such a helpful teacher! I took both of her english classes and because of her I got through it easily. She is one of the best!! I highly recommend taking her class if you're just starting out at school

She is a good professor if you are already pretty good at english. If you have a hard time with grammar and mechanics I would suggest someone else.

Not a very easy teacher. But a very good one. She makes you do her work and keeps you busy throughout the semester. I never really did well on her papers but her class is really fun.

I am taking the online class now. She has been very helpful thus far. The class is organized and the assignments are clear as far as expectations. The assigns are not easy, but what do you expect? It's a college level course. If you need help, ask her! Stop whining and step up to the challenge...

I really enjoyed Professor Norman's class. She requires several papers throughout the semester, however this encourages a greater level of comprehension. She is interested in her students success and she will do what it takes to facilitate a students understanding of the material. I thoughly enjoyed learning from this Professor.

I can't decide how I feel about her. I had an online class with her and dropped it because it was waaaaay too unorganized and I thought she was super rude! I took her class in class and there were times I really liked her though. Her tests were God awful hard and I got a C. I'm an English major so it was a shock...

I took Introduction to Literature online, and it was such a good choice. She made it very manageable and it was not a pain. There is a lot of reading, but it really should be. The work is not hard, but it exposes you to a lot of literature. Definitely recommended! Just do the work and sign in 5 days a week, and an A is attainable! Great class!

Ms. Norman is a hard teacher, but a fair teacher. She is a master at what she does and because of that expects excellence from her students. If you want to become a master at Lit. and Eng, then she's the one. Be prepared to work, but well rewarded for your time and effort.

She is an amazing teacher who clearly loves what she does. Her book is used often and she had it made personally so that the only passages in it are the ones she wants us to read so buy it. The Quick Access book is not needed. Her research paper is so easy she is practically writing it for you. Plenty of short writing assignments but it is ENGLISH.

She is absolutely amazing! Anyone who didn't like her, or thought it was too hard didn't show up expecting a college class. You do the work and you will be fine! Best professor I've ever had.

She gave excellent feedback on papers. Her instructions were very clear and if I didn't understand something she would help me understand it better. Follow instructions and you will get an A.

Professor Norman may be my favorite teacher at Black Hawk. She really cares about her students and knows how to connect with them. Do the homework and ask questions (she is more than willing to help); you will have no problem passing. You just have to be willing to work.

Professor Norman is very understanding and has clear guidelines. She is extremely helpful and gives the assignment guidelines the first day so you are prepared. One thing she does not like is when students are late and skip class. She makes lecture fun and interesting.

Follow the directions and you will pass with ease. If not, you'll be in a world of hurt. Overall, she is an excellent teacher.

Professor Norman is seriously an amazing teacher! As long as you put in effort for your papers and pay attention to directions, you will get a good grade. All of the papers she assigns are very meaningful and overall, I felt like I learned so much about the real world in her class. I highly recommend!

One of the best professors I have had. As long as you are respectful, she respects you back. Hilarious lectures, and always willing to help you with things you don't get. Can be a tough grader, but will help you out in the end. Great professor. Highly recommend!!

Took this class as a required humanities course and really enjoyed it! Assignments are usually based off of short stories or a movie the professor has you watch. The content is actually really interesting and the assignments are creative and easy to complete. Took this course as an 8-week class and ended it with an A, I would recommend taking!

She's a great professor as long as you show respect!
