I loved this class! Townie and Jim made it awesome, and the kids in my class. We always went out to the beach and saw most of the species you learned about. It's really a good learning experience

this class turned out to be pretty cool. i got to learn about marine plants and animals and all that stuff. townie definitely knows what he's talking about. he's a great teacher and knows how to get information across to his students. he's a really nice guy, offers lots of extra credit, and grades fairly. townie made labs fun and interesting.

This was the best class i've ever had, the enviornment is awesome, nothing bad about class in kayaks and on the beach!! Weeks is there to help you understand and have a good time while your there, the day flew by, and there was no stress involved, he makes sure of it... I greatly recommend this class.

Marine Biology was such a good class. We learned so much. Townie made it really fun and intersting. He knows so much about the ocean and gets really excited about teaching. His sound effects were great too.

Townie and Jim were great... I thought Jim was a student the first day, but we had an awesome time, small class size made it much easier to learn. Totally enjoyed going to class every week. Townie is a very energetic and enthusiastic teacher. He is easy to approach with questions and a great leader on the class trips. I'll bet he could climb mount everest with a blindfold on, I tell you, this man is an unstoppable force of geology.

Professor Weeks is a pretty interesting teacher. His teaching is really good. The class is worth taking.

Enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable in his feild, his expertise includes other disciplines which adds to a well-rounded educational experience. Field trips are adventerous and memorable.

Towie is a great lecturer, he makes all kinds of funny sound effects. Definetly take his class, just don't show up till about 20 mins after the class is supposed to start because he's ALWAYS late and you'll just sit around waiting for him to show up

Townie is a great teacher. He is very knowledgeable and knows a great deal about history to make learning fun and interesting on all levels. I highly recommend this course to anyone who needs a 4 cr. lab science course or anyone interested in Oceanography! You can't beat learning on Sandy Hook and having class pertain so directly to the everyday.

Mr. Weeks was a very enternaning teacher who taught very well while keeping his unique personality. Of all teachers that I myself have expierenced, Mr. Weeks is certainly someone I would recommend to any one who has an interest in this type of study. He was always there when I needed adivce on any type of trouble that I felt I needed help with.

Townie has an amazing mind. He makes complex concepts understood. His tools for teaching range from Q&A to modern dance interpretations representing the movements of a barnacle. He has real talent and passion for his work. I would recommend anyone taking any course he teaches.

Townie was phenomenal. He is energetic, animated, and passionate about Oceanography. His passion is contagious. There are plenty of opportunities to earn extra credit, so even if science is not your best subject you can get the A if you are willing to put in the effort. I would recommend this class to anyone!

Townsend is an enthusiastic professor! He loves what he does and he knows way of trying to get people's attention. It is a boring class if you know most of your bio. Yet, there are things you learn and you get to learn by the beach. Easy class.

he is a great teacher who really loves oceanography. you can tell by his personal stories he adds into every lecture. he is a great teacher and i feel as though he teaches well but it isnt his fault that he has to teach the lecture for 3.5 hours. it would be an amazing class if it was only an hour long

Lecture is long and boring but tests are really easy. He allows you to take a group practice test right before the exam which is just another version of the actual text. Offers A LOT of easy extra credit. There is no reason to not get an A.

oceanography in sandyhook is great, all 18 of you in the class will grow to be friends very quickly and all day 6 hrs goes fast, better then 2 days drivin there... he is a great and smart, his notes are hard to copy but he reviews, i HIGHLY suggest him

Prof. Weeks is a great professor. Cares deeply about the subject and wants you to feel the same way. The tests arent super easy, yet a`rent super hard. He gives a practice exam right before the test.

He is a nice guy who knows his stuff but does not always portray it that way. With that being said he makes it clear that if you don't understand something he is more than willing to help you which is very nice. Get the right book you will need it.

I took Geology with Mr. Weeks. Made class interesting with 3 class trips. Geology isn't the most exciting subject to learn about, but by going on trips and seeing rocks millions of years old was pretty cool. Gives plenty of extra credit if your not going well on test. No reason why you shouldn't do well in this class.

townie is a really good teacher and a cool guy but man geology is boring! lectures kind of drag and the field trips 12 hours long, altough there are a few highlights, its a brutal day. oceanography was way better and more interesting. the test are kind of hard but theres not a ton of work and any class at sandy hook is better than lincroft.

I had Townie for 3 classes thought he was great. Gives you tons of extra credit and even gives you practice tests to take hime, then goes over the tests again in class after you' ve done it ones more with your group. There is no possible way to fail this guys tests.I recommend him also the drive up to sandy hook campus is most enjoyable.

If you do your work, show up to class on time, and study you will do fine in Townie's class. Townie expresses his passion for Oceanography and helps his students aquire a desire to learn more about Oceanography outside the classroom with multiple extra credit oppertunities. If you need to take a Lab Science Oceanography with Townie is a must.

Townie shows passion for Oceanography which makes it fun to learn. Just take good notes. He offers many extra credit activities. Extremely difficult to accomplish if you are a full time student and work full time. That was a great disadvantage to me. But other than that it is a fun class to take! It's great to get out of the classroom to learn!

He gives you an old copy of the exam for hw to do with your book, then in class with a partner, reviews all ?s you have difficulty with, then gives you the exam right after it so its fresh. Townie was the BEST! The lecture wasn't normally too exciting, but he made it work. The class before an exam he will give you a practice test to make sure you understand the material, goes over it the day of the exam, and will give you the test right after! Gives LOADS of extra credit opportunities, which are very easy loved this class SO MUCH

Such a sweet and understanding man. He truly cares for his students and how well they do in hia class. He may go off on tangents but in the end he really wants thw beat for hia students. Our final practice exam he used as a final and the whole class aced it!

Townie is great. He's nice, understanding, and gives lots of extra credit opportunities. His homework can be lengthy but it's worth it when you ace the tests without studying. He gets a little over enthusiastic sometimes but that's just his passion for the subject. If you do the homework, labs and tests you'll be fine.

Easy class. Gives practice exams a week before the test so you can study it. The exams are practically the same. He offers extra credit that can boost anyone's grade tremendously. Take if you need a science and do not like any sciences. He is a pretty nice guy.

IF YOU NEED A SCIENCE LAB, TAKE THIS CLASS. It is the easiest A you will ever earn. He offers so much extra credit, its impossible to fail. Townie is a little nutty, but hes a good guy, very easy going. Tests & quizzes are easy (almost word for word off study guide he provides) The only bummer is weekly required hand-in homework.

He's a really passionate and almost overqualified science teacher. He knows literally everything and he'll talk about something random that you've never heard of before and break it down meticulously for an hour. All in all, a cool guy, good and fair teacher. Ask him about "fistulas". That is a VERY interesting story and goes on for an hr at least.

I'm gonna miss Townie. Real nice, laid back, colorful personality. Very rare you find a Prof. that is extremely knowledgeable in his field AND a very good teacher. .Weekly quizzes (some group some independent). Study guide/Practice Test for each unit: Study and get an A. Take Townie if you need a Lab!

If you need a lab science, I would highly recommend taking Townie for Oceanography. Took it for the 6 week sessions, not to bad considering you get 4 credits. Quizzes and Tests are ALL multiple choice, and offers a lot of extra credit. If you study you should have no trouble passing. Wish he taught the lab part though.

Townie was super sweet. He is an old man who has been through alot -- he rambles alot during his lectures but every test he gives you a practice exam with the answer word bank and then the test he gives you the next week is basically the exact same thing with a few added questions. He's so sweet just long boring lectures. Good luck!

Townie is honestly one of the best professors at Brookdale. I would have not got my degree if it wasnt for him. If you need a lab science for your degree, you are a fool not to take him!

Townie is AMAZING. There are quizzes almost every week, but they're easy and he drops the lowest quiz grade. The practice tests are nearly identical to the exam, but you really do have to study anyway. Lots of extra credit opportunities. But attend lecture, they're long but he tells you all of what you need to know! Take him!

If you simply take an interest to the work and do the homework it's an easy A. Townie is a great teacher and I really enjoyed his lectures. Very smart and funny guy.
