What you saw was what you got - quizzes covered what was covered in class but essays were pretty tough. Definitely looking for a specific format. Overall a pretty good teacher.

Competent, really knows her stuff. Her exams were difficult but offers lots of extra credit... and her essay grading was not that difficult.

Quizzes/tests are very easy, based on her power point slides, no books needed. Essays were graded harshly but extra credit is offered to make up for it. Good teacher, she may have strong opinions but that's expected from a political science person.

She is an awesome teacher! One of the best. Truly prepared me for transfer and the type of work at UCLA and graduate level work. Choose Fahimi if you want to learn and be challenged. Don't listen to the whiners and complainers, she is awesome!

Great teacher, very nice and helpful. Power point slides cover everything, just memorize those and you get 100%. The 2 essays are somewhat difficult and graded harshly but you are given weeks to prepare and make them good.

She's a fair teacher, just don't plan on doing stuff the night before, or you'll regret it. She's complete in her instructions and knows her stuff. Quizzes are easy, but study for finals. Great lady, just don't make her mad.

Even though, I didnt finish her class last semester, because of personal issues. She was very informative, helpful and understanding. I will definately retake her course. I learned a lot. By the way, her honors series seems very stringent and demanding...be prepared for some hard course work.

Traci is an awesome teacher. One of the most knowledgeable and helpful teachers I've ever had. If you take good notes, and review the power points she makes available to you, you can pass her class without a problem.

I got a decent grade-B, but I will not say her class wasnt challenging. As soon as you figure out HOW she teaches, then you will do fine. She does, however, show up late to EVERY class. Anywhere from 5-15 minutes late, but, gives a lecture in the beginning on how she is a stickler for time.

Fahimi really knows her stuff. Although she is often late and overly uses power points, her lectures are pretty easy to follow along. You have to take 8 short quizes, write 2 papers, and take a final and a mid term which is combination essay and multiple choice. Overall just okay.

I got a very bad grade in her class, why? read the previous comments, but as far as being a poli-sci junky, she is great! i love the way she thinks about political issues... cool teacher.

She gives quizes every couple of weeks based almost entirely on her lecture, so as long as you pay attention, you should do fine on the quizes. Then she has you write two one-page essays, and there are only two major tests.

Amazingly knowledgeable professor. The classes are VERY objective, so if your a leftist like me, your going to have to rely on a scientific observation of political science and IR. Her classes require work and effort, no doubt about it, but if you embrace it, Fahimi will put you on the right path to success. Stop being lazy, education is priceless.

This is a hard class and you need some work in it to pass it but she makes it very interesting. I really recommend her unless you are trying to get a class you will pass in with no work.

Fahimi is a great teacher. Yes, she's on the difficult side, but college is meant to be challenging. Do the work, show up to class, and you'll do fine. The quizzes are 90% pay attention stuff, and she'll grade drafts before tests and such. She's helpful and fun and has a lot of knowledge about poli sci. Take her, and do the work.

College: Harder than high school. This professor is an example. She is challenging and she makes you work, but you will learn from her class. Keep on top of stuff, do drafts so she can look at them, and study for tests and quizzes and you're bound to get at least a B.

I don't understand why people say she is a hard teacher. She was one of the easiest A's at IVC in poltical science other than Professor Frame. All you have to do is follow her study guide and do the work which barely takes any time anyways. I got an A with ease and barely attended class. Just follow her directions and study a bit and u'll get an A.

One of the greatest teachers I've ever had. I wish I got to know her better. Her knowledge of the field really allows the student who are interested to learn a lot about the exciting discipline of International Relations.

One of the best teachers I've had. She has high standards, but is fair and helpful. Very knowledgeable and informative about American Government. Lots of interesting class discussions. Contrary to earlier ratings, class started on time, 'personal issues' discussions were minimal, and, when made, interesting. I learned alot in this class.

Interesting class, not very hard but there is a lot of work to do. If you show up to class and turn in all the assignments you'll do well. It also helps to be aware of what is happening out there (i.e. following the news)

Great teacher. Very informative and in a way inspiring if you are looking to pursue a career in international relations. Shes not the most organized person in the world but the class is worth it.Too bad shes not in model UN anymore, I would have liked to been in that class if she was the professor.

Great class, although it is very hard. You must actually come to class to take the quizzes and study for the test. She is a tough grader but she will help you with anything you need.

Prof. Fahimi is a charming woman capable of teaching. Although her belated arrivals in the morning can vex, her interesting lectures make up for the lost time. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and motivated to enlighten, Prof. Fahimi presents a course requisite for anybody seeking a comprehensive education conerning American politics.

Our original teacher got fired halfway through the semester. Then Fahimi came in and started us from the beginning of PS 1 halfway through the semester...and she caught us up! she's highly intelligent and seriously cares about how her students do in the class. she'll help you if you really need it and grades easy on essays,study for the tests tho!

Although she was late almost every day, her excuses were always pretty funny. She does test from the book but hardly refrences the material while in class. Your best bet is to download her powerpoints and lecture notes. She loves hearing her own words,be sure to record her example of certain concepts and repeat in you essays. Only chance at an A.

I took her for my first POl SC class ever- Comperative Politics- and think she is great! She'll help you, explain, give extra credit, change deadlines etc. The only thing is that you have to write exellent essay. Got an A!

She's definitely not easy. Don't belittle her, she's very intelligent. I don't think students realize that a professor isn't horrible if her class is difficult. It just means DONT BE LAZY! Textbook itself isn't mandatory. GO TO CLASS! TAKE NOTES. Study the PPT, do side article readings, TRY HARD ON PAPERS and you'll be fine. Not stressful, just try

I found the class to be very unnecessary. Probably the only reason I got an A in her class was because I love politics. Otherwise, most of the class probably failed. She can attack America every once in a while, but she uses it to compare America to other nations. It is not because she hates America that she criticizes it most of the time.

Fahimi is a GREAT and passionate professor. She brings in thought provoking material to the class, and challenges your thinking. People whining about their grades just didn't put the work into it. You just need to keep up with the lectures. She offers 10% extra cred + gives exam essay questions in advance, and will read essays in advance as well.

If you're major is PS or have strong political views, Fahimi is not for you. For open-minded students who just need this class, she's not the easiest or best prof but put in the time/effort and you'll do fine. She may cancel several classes, talk a lot about her family but she does tell you what she wants. You just have to listen.

Very interesting and smart, as well as engaging Professor. She sparked my interest in political science and helped me climb a few steps. I learned how to write a political science paper with her, and to do a good research. Overall, one of the best Professors I have had.

Boring, but easy. I got an A in the class without really trying. Class is strictly power points that you can get on blackboard, so there really isn't a point in going. Just print out her notes online, read them, you'll do fine. For essays, follow the prompt exactly, get and A. I honestly don't understand how anyone can fail this class.

I really liked her as a professor. She is very clear and extremely knowledgable. She tells you flat out what she wants and there are never any surprises. Overall it is an easy class and I really enjoyed her as a teacher.

Professor Fahimi is not an easy teacher; she assigns a lot of reading (some that require remote memorization because she actually tests you on it on midterm). I think her in-class essays for midterm and final are fair; you have a lot of time to prepare so getting an A is easy. Her generous xtra credit (max 10% on final grad) helped me get an A.

Standard midterm and final. Midterm is half multiple choice and half essay. Final you have a choice. You also have quizzes off of her power points and 2 papers. She is a tough grader on papers. She does ramble but if you're interested in politics then you will find her ramblings interesting. She takes attendance.

Took her for summer and she gave me a run for my money. I got an A but worked really hard for it. She requires a lot of reading, homework, and quizzes. Midterms and finals had an in class essay and mult. choice, along with 2 more essays. It was hard and demanding, but she has good intentions and you really do learn a lot in her class.

Political science is generally boring to begin with and she does okay job of lecturing. it can get boring, however, if you look at her syllabus the way she grades makes her class easy. Just do good on two papers, 40% of your grade, and the rest is online multiple choice. great teacher and is very helpful and understanding.

Attendance is mandatory. multiple choice tests are all online and only two papers. I didn't read any of the material and still got an A. all you need to know is how to use an index and skim text. get involved in class and she will make it more interesting. don't get involved and it's long lectures. I would take her class again.

Class was very straightforward. Most assignments were online and merely reading the assigned reading or understanding how to skim chapter and use the index will allow anyone to get a passing grade. To get an A you need to do well on the essays. The prompts are very specific on what they want and if you follow them getting an A should be no prob.
