I may recommend her for a regular semester but not a summer course. Approach with caution! Feels like a womens rights movement in class. If you have a valid point that you see goes against her point of view DO NOT let it be known in your work.

In all honesty, she maybe one of the absolute worst professors I've ever had in my life. Not only does she not respond to any e-mails, she provides no help, never interacts on the discussion boards and grades ridiculously.Other than grading, my question would be; what exactly does this professor do? Horrible communicator! She never answered any of my e-mails, took her 3 weeks to grade exams, and not once contributed to the discussion boards. Plus, her feedback on the exams were nuts when the answers were in the book! With the inadequate communication skills it's difficult taking this 'professor' seriously. Im enrolled in her 1302 at the beginning there were 9 students now there is just 7 and only 4 are passing her class. i recommend switching professors if you got her. She is a very tough teacher and pretty unclear. We do all out learning online outside of class and come in class to do an assignment or sit on the computer typing something that we might as well do at home, yet she drops you a letter grade for 3 tardiesabsences, on top she is a very tough grader.

This class would have been much simpler if there was better communication. There would be times I would get emails about an assignment with only a couple hours before it was due. She came in at last minute to take over our class. The last week of class my Average dropped from an A+ to a B- I so glad this is my last English class but I would not recommend her. She is a really tough grader and before you sign up for the class remember others have dropped out and you wont get your money back.

If you are not a great writer, you should probably look for another teacher. The professor is not very helpful, and when she does help, she makes it more confusing. She takes attendance seriously. Her classes are flipped classroom style, so you have more homework. You have to read a lot.

I took this class as a part of the credit. I really had hard time passing the class. The assignments were too tough and her grading was very tight despite the hard work.

So the original professor I had chosen went MIA, and she took over the class. The whole flipped classroom concept did not work for me mainly because I work 50+ hours a week and took a night school thinking i'd have a fair time frame to do my homework and prep for essays. The group project was a nightmare , I got nailed for lazy group mates.

Professor Hernandez is not good at explaining what you should improve on. Her classes are very fast paced and there is no time to go back and see what you lack on and should improve on. The absolute worst class taken to date. This was not a class guided to inspire, lead or teach for me. I simply left this class discouraged and defeated. The teacher is condescending and nonchalant. I have had some hard professor before but she is just worst. I attended every class, did most of the quiz and completed every paper. Guess what I got at the end? 'F'. I would never take this teacher again. At the start she was nice and as a person she is fine. However, she is a very hard grader and isn't detailed when it comes to commentary on essay's. She does have a good set up on how points are split for each grade. also if you turn something in and its not exactly how she likes it, you will recieve a zero.

I took a online summer course and it was very very work heavy with no space between assignments. Everyday something was due and about every three days a 600 word minimum essay was due with a mandatory lengthy outline due the day before. She is a very tough grader and did not explain any of assignments clearly and she contradicts herself a lot.

This course was extremely stressful. There is an assignment due at least six days out of the week. The primary assignments are essays. She is a tough grader. The average grade I would get for an essay was a 55. The only way I passed was buying Grammarly. She also mentions she doesn't take emails, so don't expect an answer if you send her one.

Didn't pass a single essay the entire semester despite never getting below a B in any previous English essay. Gives vague feedback that basically says, "I disagree with your thesis, so you're wrong." Doesn't seem to understand that there are multiple ways of analyzing something. You will get 20 points off if you don't do exactly what she would do.

Professor Hernandez is the worst, do not take her class!!! Essays are expected to be written as if you already had a master's degree. With professor Hernandez either you get an A or a C, there is no in-between, trying? It doesn't count. The hardest thing I did in high school. Expect to receive your essay back with a couple marks for grammar and a paragraph nit picking a single aspect of your essay accompanied by a 67, leaving you confused. Also projects have unreasonable expectations. I tried to reach out multiple times to ask for proper feedback and received no reply. Good luck.

Completely horrible professor. Does not reply to questions or emails. You make a small comma error in your essay? Working for hours on an essay means nothing to her because -30 points. Does not update syllabus regularly, changes dates and does not say until day of or until it is already too late. Honestly and truly, if you value your GPA, pass.

Every essay I did for her class was returned with a 50-58 with criticism pointing out the most tiny errors in essays without actually explaining what was wrong with the context. She does not give anything higher than a 50 for the final Essays, does not reply when emailed about criticism, due dates are often changed without any sort of warning, and does not even give good essay feedback. She is an EXTREMELY tough grader when it comes to papers. Writing assignment instructions are confusing, she contradicts her instructions, and she will email further instructions 1-2 days before the revised paper is due. Honestly, she's not a bad teacher, in some ways. She doesn't teach any of the materials she does help of course when we needed but that still didn't help. She made all of her assignments sound extra hard for no reason at all. Would never take any classes with her again, I do not recommend her.
