Ok, this teacher was the BESt teacher I had ever taken at Valley. She was not only helpful and kind but, the most awesome individual ever! Her class is pretty easy all you do are journal entries everyday make sure you have a page full they are easy questions about daily activites. Make sure you have all of these within your notebook.

Professor Bachman is very helpful, patience and kind, with everyone in her class. She gives a lot of essays and entry journals to write every week, but her main goal is for all her students to learn how to become better writers. She is an excellent professor!

Excellent teacher. Four essays, she gives you so much time to revise and earn a better grade it's ridiculus. Really fun teacher, can be funny at times and gives you time to turn in assignments. Fun class, take it.

Here is another teacher to add to my list of favorites. Professor Bachman makes English fun by using up-to-date and non-fiction books. You learn more than just engligh in the class. She is very down to earth and understanding if issues arise. She will let you revise your essays as many times as you'd like. Looking forward to taking 103 with her.

Professor Bachman is a feminist. I didn't know equal rights for women was a bad thing. Her "faves" are not her faves. They are students she knows already because she has had them before. It sounds like there is some sour grapes here because you actually had to show up to class. Kindness and Youthfulness are also not crimes. Essays r hard enough.

I did not like this teacher at all and i was so relieved when this class was over. she was a loony and rude to some of her students and i agree with the person who said she has favs in the class and that the only reason that ppl have good things to say about her is because she's sooo easy.

She is one of the best professors I've had! She is nice, she's funny, and she's pretty laid back. Essays are kinda hard, but she really pushes you to do the best that you can, and she really helps you and tells you exactly what she wants. And she lets you revise them. Bachman leads an interesting class because she tries to challenge kids' ways of thinking about the world they live in. Do your work and you will do well. Class participation is also important here. Also, don't be late, or face ridicule. If you are open to new ideas at all take her. If not, stick with a more traditional instructor.

She is the best, I recommend her to everyone! The material she have you to work on is a little out there BUT it's just for you to think out of the "box". Take her, you will not regret it.....I promise!

We had to write three essays, a few classroom essays and daily free writing journals. Prof Bachman truly reads and corrects all papers with interesting comments. She lets you revise your essays to get better grades. I hate writing essays, but she made this class too easy. A very liberal person who wants the class to have a sense of humor.

She is a very "real" teacher. None of the old fashioned stuffy curriculum. She's good except she pushes a hard core liberal agenda in her lectures. But that's what college is about. Sifting through the agendas to find the knowledge you actually need. If you can deal with that she's cool.

The class appears hard at first but she didn't grade very hard at the end- which is basically when everything is due since you can revise essays for an improved score. Fantastic sense of humor. Anyone who says her class is hard slept through high school english.

This class was not completely easy because of all the essays, warm-ups, and workbook activites we had to do. Though thats the kind of work youhave to expect when taking an english class. The final which was a comic book was so much fun. Ms.Bachman is funny and very helpful if you ask. I really recommend taking her for english 101.

Professor Bachman is quite possibly one of the most engaging and helpful professors I've ever encountered. I had to work my ass off to get an A in her class but she was a great mentor and always available to help. If you want an English class that is fun and you develop as a writer take Bachman.

Professor Bachman is truly amazing! She's one of the few college professors I will remember in the future. Of course the class required quite a few essay assignments, but the way she runs her class and interacts with the students makes you want to write those essays. Where do I begin? I took English 28 in the summer with Professor Bachman as well. She is a phenomenal professor-funnyintellectualsupportive. Her class is not hard, but you do need to keep up with the writing. She's humble and treats everyone with respect. I have greatly increased my writing skills with this course and wish I needed another class!

This class requires alot of reading and writing essays or in a joournal so work can pile on if you dont keep up. She's awesome! One reason is that she will take ur essays give you good honest feedback on them and allow you to resubmit them for a better grade! She knows books cost $ so she tries to assign readings u can find online. Love this prof!!

Tracy is an AWESOME professor. I will be taking her again. I was sad the semester was over. Her lectures are a lot of fun, given the fact that I am a night student. Her readings can be slightly difficult but ask questions and you'll understand. She really gets everyone involved. Revising your work will be your key to success.

Professor B is an amazing instructor! She finds creative ways to teach every subject and encourages her students to write freely and express themselves. I'm defiantly taking her again! Not an easy A, definitely worth the struggle though!

Professor Bachman is the coolest professor at LAVC. She gave us chances to improve our drafts and gave us instructions on how to start our drafts which. She makes it a lot less stressful for you. I hate reading books but the ones she assigned were really interesting. She rocks. L7 for life. hell yeah!! TAKE HER!!

Her English class comes off as a sociology class. She has you do a couple long papers and a couple group assignments that you have to present on. Don't be late otherwise she freaks out. She never used the textbook but she does assign books to read. Though I don't like her teaching method, I would take her again for an easy grade.

Professor Bachman is all about students succeeding. She is constantly reminding us that we are born with an "A" in her class, it is ours to destroy. She offers flexibility on how we choose to fulfill the assignment, she always wants you to try. She is funny, loves music and references quite a bit, and truly seems to enjoy her job. Loved it.

I've taken her 3xs for difference english classes & she is the best. Even if you struggle to write she will work with you and motivate and inspire you to. Yes there is a lot of writing that she asks you to do but it's worth it. She's the teacher that cheers for you to do your best, which is rare. Shes' a gem!

Great Overall

I loved taking her English 101 class!! Overall she's amazing. There's five essays in the semester with multiple opportunities to revise, 2 group projects and 3 written exams. There's a lot of reading and writing. She's an easy grader as long as you do your work.

She is extremely intelligent, and she could be a snob about it but instead she is gracious, with a good sense of humor, who chooses to meet students at their level instead of lording her superiority over them. If she feels you are genuinely putting in the effort to understand and improve, you will be rewarded with a good grade. Shes great.

She's simply a sweetheart. I had a horrible ending this semester with a teacher messing my GPA up with not curving my B (88%) but she made it better. I've never felt so comfortable in a classroom yet so cared for. She has the biggest heart, gives you any and every opportunity to improve yourself as a student as well as your academic abilities.
