she gets flustered and distracted very easily. She also spends too much time on the easy examples in class instead of explaining the more difficult problems. her class average on tests are pretty low for a low-level math class (example: 65.8%)she becomes defensive when students have questions about their grades.

If you are taking Math 113, my suggestion is not to take Mrs. Cook. I've heard from other students that their Math 113 classes were not difficult, but this simple math class was made very difficult. Get ready to work for your grade very hard if you take her.

Mrs. Cook is a great teacher! There are quite a bit of homework assignments. I suggest doing homework with a friend to understand the material better. If you ever need help, she is available for office hours. Attendance is based entirely on getting clicker questions right, so ask the people next to you for help if need to. About 3-4 tests in total.

I would avoid this instructor. As a honors student, I feel that this course was oversimplified. Given that it is a general education requirement, it should not be as difficult and that might lie in how the class is structured. The workload should be lighten and more practical for exams since they compose 80% of final grade.
