You'll get a lot out of this class if you READ and write down literally everything she says. She goes INCREDIBLY fast, but if you keep up with reading you'll be fine because tests are based STRICTLY on the textbook. Not at all a hard class as long as you take good notes and read.

I do not know why people have awful things to say about Prof. Dunne--her lectures are funny and interesting and this class is worth taking. Not getting a good grade is not a reason to bash a good professor. Oh, and complaining about the amount of reading just shows your lack of intelligence.

I thought she was a funny lady, but it was hard to follow her lectures sometimes. Her shorthand that she writes on the board is kind of incoherent, but you get used to some of the shorthand terms she uses, so it gets better. Overall, not a bad class to take.

I honestly thought she was a pretty good professor. Her tests are straight from the book and she really tries to mix it up in lecture. She'll take a break from notes to give the class mental tests or poles. She actually shows different theories and findings instead of merely relaying the textbook.

to do well in this class, all you need to do is READ THE TEXT BEFORE the class, go to class and review what you've studied since she basically reads it back to you. know all the bold and italic words in the book. memorize everything cuz tests are taken directly from the book. go to discussion cuz it's required, and its good review. I don't think Tracy actually has a degree in psychology, I think she just read our textbook and somehow ended up with a class. Her examples are straight from the book. Her lectures are straight out of the book, but that only means it's not a big deal to miss class. Still, you should go to class because exams are only on what she's gone over in class, and usually that is A LOT less than what is in the book. She gives you study guides and practice exams. The class is easy and her grading is fair. Take her class.

Professor Dunne is a good teacher, but relatively boring. No one listens in lecture, and attendance is not mandatory. She does not give any homework, but there are only 3 tests in the class, and if you do poorly on any of them, it is hard to bring back up. Tests are fairly straightforward, but detailed.

Engaging professor. Keeps lectures interesting. Very light on workload. Grade is based on 3 exams and possibly 10% on discussion. Nothing to do with development. Class teaches about psychology experiments, then you write out an experimental research paper. Engaging lecturer, tricky exam that makes it hard to get an A no matter how much you know. Prepare for your experiment early on. Research your variables before making a commitment to them, it's a huge paper so start early.

We're paying thousands of dollars for her to reuse PS101 slides and only cover 3 per lecture. Her "tangents" aren't informative, they're redundant. The course covers HALF the material listed on the syllabus so if you want to spend a semester relearning classical conditioning be my guest. She's sloppy and inconsistent. Not worth the money you pay.

I love prof. Dunne - super funny, and is very approachable if you have questions after class. Keep in mind 90% of the grade is based on 3 exams (10% is discussion attendance). Though attendance is optional, you should show up to lecture as that's what's on the text, she doesn't really use a textbook. If you show up to class, you will do fine! :)

Dr. Dunne is VERY ranty in her lectures. We get off-topic a lot and talk about very specific things that you can't tell are gonna be on the test or not. I liked her mainly because of my passion for psychology, but you will struggle if not. She is the best of the psychology professors though, so try to get a lecture with her if you can.
