Ms. Marsh is an excellent teacher! Even if you hate math, she makes it fun and easy. Lets you correct your test mistakes! Goes out of her way if you ever need help. Highly Recommended!
Ms Marsh is great! The class is rather borring, but you can't exaclty make Math fun. She lets you correct tests, and earn 1/2 of your points back. There is plenty of bonus opportunities! I recommend her!
Ms Marsh is a wonderfull professor. She will explain things as many times as you need. She is willing to help the students who want to help themselves There are no harsh penalties for late work and plenty of opportunity to earn points back or extra credit
Only teacher that ever made math understandable. Her tests are excellent and everyone is afforded the opportunity to correct mistakes for points back. Plenty of extra credits opportunities. Take her!
What a great professor. she is always willing to help a student in need. I think she is the best teacher out there for math and one one wil ever be able to compete with her . i say take her class if you can get in.
Explains subject very clearly. Plenty of oppurtunities for extra credit. Very approachable and helpful.
She's very willing to help you & u have plenty of opportunities to turn assignments in; however,i hope u can see well or have glasses because she writes entirely TOO small, even when u tell her u can't see what's on the board,it's still microscopic..
Easiest A u could possibly get!!! Gives so many chances for extra credit that it is impossible to fail unless u just dont do anything.
Marsh is a nice lady but her class is TOTALLY boring!! It is VERY hard to stay awake and pay attention. Her tests are only 10-15 questions so if you miss just a few you get a low grade. She does let you correct your mistakes though.
Her class is awesome.
She is awesome! She lets you take your tests home and redo them, she gives lots of extra credit, never any homework (except like 3 times), and she is soooo nice!!! I am retarded in math and she is helping me soo much! Take her!
She offers a lot of extra credit but she is so hard to understand! She jumps all over the place when doing problems. Her tests are easy but shes too picky about homework and expects you to write in paragraph form. Good for extra credit but bad teacher.
I loved her class when I took it last year! She makes everything so easy to understand. I am extremely bad at math and still managed to pass with a C! Listen to her really carefully and you will pass.
She seems like a pretty good teacher. Lets you take home tests and correct them for half credit. Overall I would recommend her!
I had this teacher once before, shes very easy if you try. I wish she would teach ALL my math classes.. if she taught calc III i would be in heaven!.. if you get a chance to take her class... defanitly do!!!
Great teacher and lady. She approaches her class from a student's perspective and is very patient. Her goal is truly to help someone learn, and not just present the material then leave it up to them to figure out. I highly recommend her for any class.
Will do anything to help you. very flexible and understanding
She was a really nice lady who really wanted her students to understand her teachings and do well in the class. Multiple choice tests with half of a departmental final. Very nice!
She is an awesome teacher. i hate math but id retake it with her. she is willing to help at all times and gives lots of extra credit. take her if you can!!!!!
She is very easy... perhaps too easy. Doesn't know what shes talking about. Cant use any calculator or help you on one other than the Ti84. But her test are multiple choice with a calculator... if you dont get an A... Whats wrong with yoU!!!
She is one of the only people ever to get me to get an A in math and actually not mind doing the work. She is very easy and there are chances for lots of extra credit. She has to be one of the easiest A's in college and one of the nicest professors you can get.
She's a really sweet woman. If you don't understand, she won't hesitate to go over it again and help you out. I definitely recommend her.
Doesn't really care if you pass or not, exams are hard, lectures are unclear. Not a very nice woman.
She is a very nice person, she sometimes gets a little bit unclear in her lectures, but she will go back and explain anything you ask her to again in a way that you can better understand.
Great teacher. helps you with anything and lets you correct your tests. she is also great about absences, but you do need to tell her why you were late, even if you just didnt feel like going.
i absolutely LOVED her! she is one of the most sweetest teachers. she do anything possible to help you pass. tests arent that easy, but gives you SO many chances to bring yur grade up to above passing. maybe have homework like 3 times the whole semester & when she did, it was one problem. She is awsome & id recommend her to anyone! I adore her!
I Loved her...and I actually loved going to class, she was very helpful and explained how to do all the math problems very well. She also does everything she can to help ur grade...I will miss her class...
She was a very helpful teacher. She gave a lot of extra credit. Her lectures were a little unclear and the exams were kinda hard, but you did get to do test corrections which brought my grade up. I would recommend her to anyone.
LOVED her. Very nice and extremely helpful. She's the best math teacher I've ever had. If you have trouble with the subject, take her class!!
She is a pretty easy teacher who does everything possibly for you to do well in the class... just show up to class and theres no way you cant pass its just too easy. I HIGHLY recommend taking this teacher
The subject matter was kind of hard, and she wasn't the easiest teacher to understand, but she offurs lots of extra credit and lets you correct your tests. She's very nice and kind of funny.
TAKE HER! SHE IS AWESOME! She really explains everything clearly and is very friendly and easy to relate to. The best part is, she lets you re-do homework AND test for a better grade and makes sure that you understand what you are doing, instead of just giving you a bad grade. I <3 HER!
Great lady, helps you out as much as possible!!! Strongly advice taking her
very great professor! will do anything you can for you to pass with an A or B. lets you do test corrections and is not strict on time to turn things in. RARELY gives homework. i would advise her to anybody! i wish i could take her for 127
She is the best! She helps you out so much. I've never met a professor who helps you out more than she does. She's one of a kind.
Ms. Marsh is one of the nicest teachers in the world and she will do whatever she can to help.
TAKE HER! she is a great professor. she will explain things over and over until you understand it. attendance is required, but she doesn't make you bring a doctors excuse... if you just tell her it should be excused then she will excuse it.
She is very helpful wants you to learn and do well.
Ms. Marsh is one of the greatest professor ever I had. I mean she is good at giving the notes to her students.I always enjoy to learn something new from her. Can you believe that she will give extra credits to correct the incorrect answers on test. I would recommend anyone to take the class under her. Don't forget to bring your calculator!
Let me say this.. SHE ROCKS! TAKE HER CLASS! She gives you excellent handouts, allows half credit back on test corrections, doesn't take homework (although you should do it), is hillarious, very helpful, and really knows her subject. Attendance is mandatory, but she'll excuse anything as long as you let her know. One of my all time favorites!
If you want to learn, don't take her. The way she grades is ridiculous. The projects are the ONLY thing that helped my grade. The tests were unclear and beware when you do the group project, you will be graded on your communication skills by the class not by the content. She goes back and changes things on the board and doesn't know what shes doing
Might have been the worst class I have ever taken. She is very awkward and tells too much of her personal life. She will give you 18 pages of notes yet only 15 questions are on the test. PLEASE TAKE A DIFFERENT PROFESSOR.
Math has always been my hardest subject, by far. She was very helpful with me the entire semester, and did everything she could to make sure that I got a good grade, and understood the material. I would highly recommend her, without a doubt.
very sweet teacher yet she has no idea how to teach math. we would have to correct her when she would do notes. the postive side she never gives homework but the negative side is you will be stressed out to the max trying to learn everything she never taught you
She tries everything she can to help you learn. She's willing to work with you any way she can. The class isn't idyllic with the online math program, but by far the best math teacher I have ever had as far as her willingness.
She's very sweet. She was very helpful and very understanding of many students' difficulty with math, so most students felt comfortable in the class and asking questions. I recommend her for a math course (I had her for 099). Can be a very strict grader, but it comes from her concern for the students' authentic comprehension of the material.
She is sweet and tries to be helpful but I feel like she doesn't understand some of the material herself. We have had to correct her multiple times. She fairly easy and assigns no homework unless your class is behind.
Professor Marsh is an incredibly sweet and intelligent individual. She's also very understanding of any possible situations they may come up that cause issues. Study and you should be okay.
This class is pretty clear, and focuses mainly on everyday math. It's a little hard to stay awake sometimes, but hey, its math. Ms. Marsh is a very helpful teacher, and tends to over explain things often. There's literally no homework unless you choose to do it for your own practice. ALWAYS show work, even if you think theres none to be shown.
This class was not as hard as I expected a college math class to be. My advice is to study and take good notes. There's no homework unless you like to practice problems (sometimes it's needed.) She also lets you retake tests and turn in corrections, which is a major plus.
Professor Marsh sincerely cares about her students. She's very lenient on absences as long as you are trying. I would recommend anyone to take her class for Math 100.
She genuinely cares for her students and is always willing to let you come to office hours to work on or correct things. Lets you correct tests for makeup points & retake quizzes. She gives ample time for projects but she is really tough when it comes to grading content. Allows absences with a notice and valid reasoning.
Tracy is a great person and wants to see her students succeed. There is no homework due, but you should at least go over the problems. The tests were way more difficult than the notes, though. She lets you do test corrections and is super lenient over all. Would definitely recommend.
She is a very nice person and instructor. Very encouraging and helpful. She does not give homework but asks that you work on the problems on your own.
With math being my worst subject, I definitely didn't expect to get an A, but this professor was EXTREMELY helpful. As long as you try and come to her for help when you need it, you'll get at least a B. She loves questions and will help you in her free time.
Although she's a tough grader she's a better math teacher than all of my High School teachers were put together. There's 3 tests throughout the semester that she administers but you get to do test corrections and receive half the points back and that is what will save your grade. There is homework weekly but not that much.
Tracy is laid back and wants people to understand the basics of math. She's very understanding and loves to see people succeed instead of fail. She can be a rough grader, but she again wants you to understand the material. Definitely take her courses if you're someone who doesn't have a great understanding of math.
Absolutely love Tracy. She is the greatest Math professor I've had in years. I hated Math all throughout high school and even dreaded it on the ACT, but I love coming to her class. She understands Math is difficult and will do everything she can to help you understand. Correct your exams, you won't regret it! And always go to office hours.
Tracy is the best teacher that I have ever had for math. She is seriously the best! I went to her office all the time and even after class for help and she never turned me down. She cares about your grade as much as you do. SHOW. YOUR. UNITS..... If she sees that you're trying, you'll pass!
She's a very wonderful person, but I don't feel like I'm learning a lot. When I ask for help, she's either very helpful or makes me feel stupid. Overall, I enjoy her class even though I don't understand a lot.
Professor Marsh was the best math teacher I have ever had. I went into her class thinking I would dread it but it was worth taking. There are 3 exams and a final. If you study for at least 2 hours for the test you will pass and she lets you correct your mistakes for half credit. DO THE HOMEWORK AND GO TO OFFICE HOURS.
Easily one of the best math professors I've ever had. Her exams aren't terribly hard if you study your notes. But you can do a test extra credit where you make up half the points you've missed. Highly recommend.
She doesn't know what she's talking about and the class always has to correct her. At this point, my whole class is failing because of her poor teaching skills.
Tracy Marsh IS NOT a good professor. Stay clear of her and her classes. MTH121 is supposed to be an easy class, however she made it nearly impossible to even keep a B in there. Tests are TERRIBLE. Better hope she keeps doing test corrections in the future because that's the only way half of the class passed. (The other half failed)
Professor Marsh is always available to help but many times shes really confusing in class and tests are hard.
Professor Marsh was available outside out class and would sit beside you to help you if you needed it. She wanted you to do your best no matter what she had to do and went out of her way to help the students.
Very off topic and cant explain material. Makes you write papers about MATH. Not 100% sure if this is even a real math class
Mrs Marsh is a teacher who actually cares for her students. She wants you to participate in class that way she knows your getting it. After each test she allows you to correct what you got wrong and earn up to half the credit back. If you really want to improve your grade she will make extra credit for the individuals that ask her.
Professor Marsh seemly tries her best to help but is simply not good at teaching. She over simplifies things making them unclear. She allows you to correct tests which helps your grade but she grades very harsh. If you do not show all work exactly how she would have done it then it is wrong even with the correct answer. Bad with technology.
Mrs. Marsh covers a lot of material quickly, but if you come to class and study youll do fine on the tests. Her grading is strict, but you have the opportunity to make up missed credit throughout the whole semester. If you need to take 121, I recommend her!
I am in this class right now, and Professor Marsh is super helpful! I have this class virtually so Im not sure how different the class would be in person, but she is always willing to help and is super patient! Overall, shes a nice person and good professor.
Loved her! I loved hearing about her little dog all of the time, but she will always be willing to help and she is so understanding. When I had her, she wasn't too tough on you if you missed a deadline. She's overall a great teacher.
Most of your grade is exams. Projects are only worth 20 points most of the time. Book is definitely needed. She works 1 on 1 to help you better understand material. Very forgiving and flexible. Easy to learn from.
She stopped doing homework on week two all grades were 3 projects and tests and she grades tests very hard. i got 100% on all of my tests but because i didnt do the work the way she liked (i showed my work) she took points off and i would get 60% - 70% on all of my tests. shes nice but its unfair to my gpa for that to happen.
Literally had me sobbing every time I took a test. Those test are the DEVIL. You can get the answer right but if you dont do the work the way she likes it she takes off so many points. Take another class if at all possible. Test corrections are good but shes strict on those too.
I am the worst at math so this class was a struggle for me. However she is very caring and willing to meet one on one to help you. Tests are a big part of grade and done outside of class, but you get to do test corrections which she goes over in class so you are able to get a better grade. Projects and other things aren't worth a lot but can help!
I love her as a person but not as a teacher. She is very nice. She teaches through videos on blackboard. This is very difficult because cannot learn through videos, it has to be in person. Her tests are awfully hard and there's really no way to study for them. Tests and like two projects are your only grade and I don't think this is fair.
This professor is the worst professor to ever take in your whole life. She is a good person but you cannot study for her test in any way. Her grading is inconsistent and can have the same answers as someone else and same explanation but have different scores ranging from 1-20 points.
I'm bad at math, so maybe my rating isn't valid. She was nice and had a great sense of humor. While her grading was inconsistent between students, she was willing to answer your questions and meet with you. She also allows you to attend online if need be. Personally, I didn't like the class because I hate math. She was good though.
I had to drop this class because she said in the last 20 years only one person had ever gotten a 100 on a test first try. That is a bad teacher. I did not like her, and you have to get the textbook and it's an expensive one trust me.
You have to print literally every single test and paper that she assigns. She will not print for you, and it is extremely annoying. This was a math class, but she talks about politics all the time? Tests are the only grades you get but you do get test corrections. The tests are okay, but she will count off if you don't do the work how she wants.
She's nice and willing to work with you on due dates, but her I don't care for her teaching. It's hard to stay engaged in class. Also, she makes you print all the homework and tests and then submit them online. She also somehow always brought up politics and, personally, I don't really want to hear about politics in my math class.
I am not the best with anything math related, and this class I already knew would not be my favorite. Although I feel I haven't learned much, I think that Professor Marsh is very forgiving and flexible with the assignments and deadlines especially. Many little tests and then a final within the semester, and I felt she graded fairly, but tough.
Her class requires you to do the HW on your own time but she does go over some problems in class. She gives many opportunities to fix grades. For those unable to attend class, she has teams meetings and allows you to come to another class's time slot. Very accommodating. I didn't learn much but I'm also not the greatest at math. HW not graded.
She will go out of her way to mark the most random things as incorrect. I have had friends do questions the same exact way that I have and we would receive different grades based on those questions. She will mark something wrong on one of our tests and mark the same thing as correct on the other persons.
While she was nice and easily accessible, I did not like the way she graded. It did not seem consistent or fair. She just gives you videos to watch and expects you to learn. She was pretty lenient on attendance and lets you join teams meetings. I didn't like that she made everything political. Class was pretty confusing, but an A is possible.
She is flexible with your grades. I did bad on part of a project and she let me redo it. The class is in person but you are also able to get on teams if you tell her before class. I honestly did not learn anything in her class but, if you just do the work you will get an A. She is nice but, if don't do the math her way you'll get marked wrong.
Ms. Marsh was a very nice, understanding lady. She offered teams meetings for those who could not attend class that day. However, she does not lecture in class; instead, she posts videos and uses class as question time. There is a lot of homework, 3 tests, and a final. 121B is a lower-level math course, if you are good/okay at math, I recommend 121
