Good teacher. Really enjoys what she does and willing to take the time to explain things outside of class. Good reviews which help a lot for the tests.

What a great teacher...too bad she is teaching somewhere else now. She really cares about how the students are doing and makes sure everyone understands what is being taught. Great reviews for tests also.

Do NOT buy the textbook!! Just print all notes from blackboard and use for class. Great teacher, knows her stuff. You will learn alot in this class. Easy to follow. Just GO! If you miss too much you will fall behind.

Mrs. Swabb is a good teacher. She is more than willing to help students when needed. I would reccomend her to any one how needs/wants to take chem.

Her office and her heart are open for helping student. She is the best cem teacher I ever had. Read the notes, solve ALOT of problem, nock her door and you will be fine. Do not buy the book!

She is always willing to help. This class is an easy A. If you study the least bit. Anything you don't understand she will clarify immediately. Makes lectures interesting with her stories and analogies. I definitely recommend her!

Excellent Teacher. She is very devoted to Chemistry and also teaches the lab (very rare). The class was extremely easy but I think thats a mix of...1) WCC being incredibly watered down in every subject 2) Dr. Schwab being excellent at explaining things conceptually

Great teacher, class is fun. Tests are HARD though. After the first few weeks you'll find the material becomes much harder and studying is beyond mandatory. Good choice for teacher though and getting an A is definitely possible.

Easy. Tells you all the exam questions. Do NOT buy the book - waste of money because you never will use it. Labs are mandatory but lecture is not - and she posts the slides online.

MOst AMAZING professor I have EVER had! She is ALWAYS available for help. Dr. Schwab goes out of her way to make sure you get the material. The material reflects EXACTLY what will be on exams. So, if you do the work, there's no reason not to get an A. If chemistry is not your thing, don't be lazy about studying and attending class.

Prof. Schwab is the BEST teacher I've ever had. She spells out what is expected from the student at the beginning of term. She is very easy to get along with. Make sure you don't take a heavy class load when taking chemistry-this was said by 3 different chemistry teachers, boy were they right! I'm on the dean's list, chemistry requires LOTS of work

She tells you exactly what you will be asked on the exams during the lectures. As long as you pay attention and make note of what she expects you to know, then this class is no issue. She explains concepts well and very indepth. Many, many times I felt she was repeating herself too much but, once again, make careful note of what she emphasizes!

This class is not hard if you study the material presented to you. She does talk fast at times but she does go back and repeat things if needed. If you go to class every time, she rewards you with extra credit at the end. Also, there's extra credit on the exams and quizzes. She is very enthusiastic about Chemistry and she made the class fun.

A breath of fresh air for chemistry! She is hilarious, very knowledgeable, no txtbk reqd, uses fill-in-blank notes to allow you to LISTEN to lecture. Teaches the lab herself. BUT no homeowrk, so grade is based solely on labs/exams/quizzes. And chem isn't so easy, so you still gotta work if you want that A. Would absolutely take her class again.

What an absolutely wonderful teacher. She truly cares about her students and does anything to make you feel comfortable with the material. She runs tutoring sessions and has plenty of office hours. Schwab is so enthusiastic! The class is HARD, so studying is a MUST!

Dr. Schwab was one of the best chemistry professors I have ever had- her passion for chemistry is contagious. She gives you lots of practice exams/quizzes on BB so you know exactly what to expect for the exams. She genuinely cares about student success and is always willing to clarify confusing topics. I would take her again if I could.

Hands down the best Chem professor I've ever had. Organized, engaging lectures, lots of practice exams for studying, and no textbook required. She was always willing to spend extra time on confusing topics to ensure student understanding, and would go over any lab/hw questions you had prior to turning them in. I wish she taught Orgo too!

She is a GREAT Teacher. Everthing she talks about in class are on the tests, and she explains things very clearly. She also gives many practice problems, which is very helpful. Take her if you can!!

Dr. Schwab may come across as a difficult teacher, but she really wants the student to improve. Attendance is crucial. The class is not a cake walk, but as long as you spend time and use your sources, you will do fine.

Her class is hard but shes willing to help you. If you work hard and study then its all laid out for you. She talks about her three sons, which I loved. Would take her again.

I got an A without buying the book by practicing with the class examples and Blackboard problems. Overall great, funny professor who cares about her students.

Dr. Schwab is great. The material in Chem 111 & 122 is difficult, and her tests & quizzes reflect that adequately, but if you study hard and ask questions you will be fine. She is really funny and makes the class enjoyable, especially when things get boring. I love her and wish she taught orgo! Highly recommend taking her class.

Dr. Schwab is GREAT! Idk why there are these negative comments here. Practically none of them are true from my experience. I had Schwab for both 111 and 122. To succeed in her class, all you gotta do is read her powerpoints and know how to do her worksheets. They are VERY thorough. Best Chemistry teacher I've had to date!

Dr. Schwab is one of the greats. After struggling in CEM111 with another Prof, she made CEM122 a breeze. It was interesting and easy to understand, and the labs were fun. She really wants you to succeed and will work hard to make sure you do. Put in the work and you'll get an A.

She is a very good teacher. the people that gave her a very bad score most likely did not study hard enough. She is always willing go answer questions during class or in her office hours. She is a hard grader when it comes to Sig figs and unit labels. She has a very deep understanding of the subject, and will help and not spoon feed you the answers

She was one of the most helpful profs I have ever had. She's a little nerdy but you can't help but laugh at her jokes. Her notes are short but she gives you plenty of practice problems & tells you EXACTLY what will be on the quizzes & exams. She's a tough grader but is always open to helping you understand the info and/or answer any ?s.

"Dr." Schwab doesn't understand that the volume of this class is ridiculous. She's lost sight that this is indeed a hard class. Was quite rude to me particularly, doesn't prep you well for the tests and quizzes, online assignments are pointless, she tells too many personal stories to fill time and never lets class out early. Worst teacher I've had.

Dr. Schwab is very nice and very helpful when answering questions and helping you out. However, she is the hardest grader that I have ever had. She does give you many practice problems and tells you exactly what will be on the exams, but they're still very tough exams. I'm generally an A student, but I certainly won't have an A in this class.

Dr. Schwab is a great teacher. She's a bit quirky, but to be honest, it would be really hard to focus on the subject matter if she wasn't so interesting and enthusiastic. The class itself is quite difficult. It certainly won't be an 'Easy A'. You do learn quite a bit though if you go to class regularly and pay attention.

Great teacher. You have to go to class or your grade will suffer. You should also do all of the worksheets she posts online for practice. Its a lot of work. She is a tough grader. She is funny in a nerdy way and always happy to help. Not an easy class but you will def. learn chemistry. One of the harder classes I've taken.

She's an AMAZING professor, she's always there for you when you need help in office hours and will help you as much as you help yourself. She's a bit of a tough grader, so study at LEAST a week before every test. Labs are kinda tough. She's very adorable when she gets excited for lecture. ^_^

T. Schwab is AMAZING. Best chemistry (heck science) instructor I've had in my entire educational career. She makes herself super available for students outside of class who need additional help. She is clearly passionate about what she does and strives to make sure every student understands what she's teaching. Textbook not required.

Chemistry is chemistry so don't come into class thinking that you won't have to work hard for a good grade. Dr. Schwab really cares about her students and makes herself very accessible outside of lecture because she wants everyone to understand the material. Shes a tough grader but not without good reason Attend class, take notes & youll be fine.

Tracy is such an awesome teacher, I wish she taught orgo too! She is a hard grader, but it prepares you for harder classes, because 211/222 professors are going to be just as hard, if not harder graders, trust me. Her lectures are awesome and while she puts them on bb, she removes some words so coming to class is a MUST (i.e.,"the __ is the...")

She was always willing to help, answer questions, and extremely responsive via e-mail. You definitely want to make sure to go to class everyday because she tests solely on her lecture content- some of the words are blanked out, so pay attention & write them down! She gives great examples, genuinely cares about her students, and wants you to succeed

Out of the many science teachers I've had throughout my years in school Dr. Schwab was by far one of my favorites. Not only can you tell she's dedicated to her job but she makes the class fun. It's important to listen and attend class but there was rarely a dull moment with her. She's willing to go beyond to help those that need it.

Come to all lectures as exams are based on lectures. Passionate about the topic. Willing to help students. Exams straightforward but practice makes perfect. Math heavy to brush up on algebra. Ask questions. Lab is tough with lots of writing before and after. Can be tough grader for lab. Very approachable.

Taking Gen Chem with Dr Schwab will challenge your academic perseverance. She is a meticulous grader and leaves no room for error. Diligent study habits are a must to complete this course successfully. However, she is always available for assistance. Her class has strengthen my work ethic and overall, prepared me for future success in Vet school.

Amazing. She takes her time explaining problems which is a real help. She is very approachable and is quick to help. Her tests are difficult, but if you work hard and attend class you should get an A. Tests are taken in the testing center and can range from a bit over half hour to three hours. You get unlimited time. Take her. You wont regret it.

Had her for both gen chems, and I never doubted it. Tracy is amazing. she explains everything in detail. Do the labs, show up to lecture, and study hard for tests and there should be no problem with getting an A. She is super helpful and caring. One of my favorite teachers.

She is a tough grader & her tests will challenge a person. The key to this class is to show to class & study your butt off if you want to get a decent grade.

Great teacher, however you do have to study really hard for her exams. Relatively speaking she is a great teacher, however, a lot of people in the class did not do well on her exams even though they studied.

5 tests worth 100 points each. That's what 75% of your grade will be based on. No homework, no attendance. Lecture is slides w/ blanks that you have to fill in. The other 25% of your grade is lab (14 labs). DO GOOD on those tests and study hard! I don't recommend taking chem at WCC bc they failed to structure the class. Many have retaken this class

I do really well in all of my classes an I am struggling to get an A. She is a great professor and really really cares about how you do, but don't take her unless you are ready to put in the time. There is no extra credit and you have to do the labs exactly how she tells you to do them, no errors. I have learned a lot, but it's no easy A.

Her level of commitment to chemistry and to teaching is admirable. Great lectures and is very accessible and willing to help students. I strongly recommend her over any other chemistry professor at WCC.

its chemistry, you need to study a ton outside of class. do all/most of the practice problems and practice tests she provides and you'll be just fine on tests. her tests are just like the problems she goes over in class but this class is a lot of info, you NEED to study! and tbh i love her so much, she's super fun, nice and energetic.

Don't take this class if you want an easy A. If you can get passed that Dr. Schwab is a fantastic teacher! She is super energetic and you can feel her passion for teaching. She is always ready to answer questions and is willing to spend time after class or in lab for it. She is very fair and everything that is on her tests she goes over in lecture

Do not take this class if you don't plan on putting in the work. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, Dr. Schwab is an amazing chemistry professor. She is very knowledgeable and she is great at passing said knowledge to her students. She repeatedly says which test the material we are going over pertains to which is very helpful for studying.

Dr. Schwab is an amazing teacher, she cares about her students and tries to motivate them. The only problem is that her exams are really difficult. The practice exams are nothing like the exams she gave, they are very confusing. You'll need to study a lot. The average % in her exams is between 71-85. In the class, you'll have 5 exams and the final.
