Professor Anderson is a pretty tough teacher. Her tests are hard and so are her quizzes. She says the quizzes are "random" so you should attend class even though it's not mandatory. The review for the tests consists of about a hundred open ended questions so it can take a few hours just to do the review. I would take another teacher for history.

Well to start off she's pregnant, will probably not hatch until middle of the summer. Her test and quizzes are beyond difficult. She gets off on talking down to students like it's high school. I missed three days in total two of which were quiz days. That is the reason i have a low C in the class. Horrible teacher. Hopefully fired soon.
Friendly, enthusiastic teacher. Can be moderately challenging, but manageable, I have an A in the class, it did require a good amount of work though. Offers plenty of extra credit. Little to no homework. Tests make up most of the grade, she gives you the essay questions ahead of time. All in all a decent, but average, teacher.
Professor Anderson is an excellent teacher. I'm getting a high A in the class and that's because I show up and do the reading. She also offer a lot of easy extra credit. If you don't want to show up or do the reading, then take someone else for History...but you probably won't learn much.
She is entusiastic about History and I learned a lot due to it. The coursework is challenging and will require regular attendance to suceed. Her class is exactly what it should be;it requires effort and studt outside as well as inside of class. It's College people, so man up!
I really enjoyed her class. Her presentations were simple and informative. Her quizzes and tests are not to be taken lightly--good note taking and studying skills are a must. She gives a LOT of extra credit opportunities AND the essay questions before the exam so there is no reason not to pass exams.
ms. tramaine is REALLY COOL. her class is REALLY easy! her reviews are open ended, so if u know a little bit about every thing u'll b fine on the test. she gives the essays ahead of time so you shud be fine on that part. easy to undrstand! i would recommend her
This is my 2nd semester with Ms. Anderson and i have to say that she has greatly improved since the first. Test are much more manageable and she has GREATLY improved her clarity on what is going to be in the test. Quizes are still reading based and attendance is mandatory because the 0's on the quizes will hurt your grade.
Nice enough, and she gives a good amount of extra credit. There's a lot of studying involved with her tests, but her reviews are vague enough to make you study more in depth. Sometimes you can't keep up with her notes, but her lectures are interesting. Tests are somewhat overwhelming, but with the extra credit and studying, it's fine.
Professor Anderson is a difficult teacher. Her quizzes are at random and if you happen to miss it, not matter what the reason whatsoever, you can not make it up. There are no paper throughout the semester however she does has essay questions on her quiz. If you take good notes and fill out review for test, you should do fine.
DO NOT TAKE THIS LADY! she is WAY to fast and she test over stuff that is not covered. She forgets what she covers in her classes seeing how the power point is simply an outline. she does not care about her students. i asked for help numerous times and she didn't have time for me. save yourself and get a different teacher!
Very difficult. Too fast and lectures like crazy. Does not interact with class.
She is not a very good teacher. The test and quiz are tough mainly because there is always a few questions that she does not cover and is not in the book. She is good about making the class feel down and doesn't try to help much. I wouldn't recommend her.
Tough class. Her quizzes and tests are difficult; too much detail from the book that I'd never remember. She also lectures pretty quickly. I did, however, did every study group I could and managed to get an A. So for future students: extra credit is key!
Took her class during the spring. Awful; she went way to fast, put things in the test that didnt even come from her notes, and made the last test over just reading because we ran out of time. It is possible to get a decent grade but I work a full time job and even with studying, I squeaked by with a C!
She issues very poorly constructed quizes and tests. She makes all assignments, and with little effort I might add. Some questions don't make sense, others have no correct opions to choose from. She is unwilling to accept any suggestions, and puts your grade in the hands of other students. I consider at least 75% of class time to be wasted.
Worst teacher ever, test number 2, out of 28 students 17 had D's or F's, and we were her best class! Her test structure is terrible, half the stuff you write down isn't covered, doesnt really review, because she already covered the material. DO NOT have this teacher, your gpa will fall.
I HATE THIS LADY, she responds to emails days after you've sent them, she does not know how to teach, she speaks really fast, its like she tries to speak fast enough so you can't write the notes....
Did not enjoy her class at all. When we did a project where we had to read couple of articles and answer some questions about the article I answered all questions and found my self with a 70. My friend who sat next to me answer maybe half the questions and somehow got a 100.
A relatively new professor, however she had to redo and rethink all the tests because the majority of the class failed. I have been in college for years at much harder schools and this was the hardest class I have ever taken. Too many questions and too specific and vague test reviews. Take someone else unless you have an awesome memory.
Lectures too fast. Test too difficult. Over details most people forget. Teaching methods changed up too much with odd and end "group" activities. People just end up confused and fail. Hard to get into flow of things. Not an easy class at all. A student and made a B. She also has a bit of an attitude of anyone noticed..
DO NOT TAKE HER. Firstly, she make every one in her classes do a group project that is worth 30% of your total class grade. You have to pair of with another person in the class, and if that person drops the ball you are screwed. She also takes to fast and required you to write down EVERYTHING she says. Go get taught by someone else.
I came into this class dreading history. After the semester, however, she made history come so alive for me that I'm a little interested in more now. In my class, we wrote NO PAPERS. Though she is EVERYWHERE- tons of fluff and extra! Hard to study because there is so much! Plus she had a bit of an 'I'm better than you' attitude....
She talks really fast. Only tests from her lectures. A lot of ex-credit given. She grades unfairly. Got all A's on quizzes and tests and she didn't give overall A. Do not take this instructor. I have many years of college and I wouldn't recommend her to my son. She's only three years teaching at TCC
Knowledgeable but difficult professor. Her standards are above average. If you don't read the book before class, you won't keep up.
Not possable to get an A in this course. Teaches her undergraduate class at a graduate level. I had to write more essays in this course than in my english class.
She is terrible. She gives discussion boards and will have them due by Friday but if you don't turn it in by Tuesday then she will take off points. Also her tests are extremely difficult 25 questions that are basically essays. To much homework and extra stuff. Don't recommend by any means
Ms. Anderson was a great teacher. She was always available if I needed help. Obviously my experience differs from most others posts but I would recommend her. I must admit, the quizzes were challenging in that there seemed to be two right answers for a lot of the questions but extra credit was offered. DB feedback was helpful. Very encouraging!
Ms Anderson is a tough teacher, but she is always there for you if you need help. I had to contact her and she always got back to me in time. Although history is really not my interest. She did make the online class interesting through discussions and a project. The exam are hard with multiple choice and short answers but they are doable.
Tramaine Anderson is a wonderful and exciting history professor. I am enjoying the class and I have had the chance to learn a lot from here regarding history and just going to college in general. She is nice to me and respectable person. Also an inspiration for young African American women.
Yes, be prepared Ms. Anderson is hard and a tough cookie. She does give opportunity to prove yourself. Ms. A has a different way of lecturing, so asks students questions and expects you to come in being able to answer and asks questions. There are quizzes, exams, and discussion online. She also has a history museum project for extra credit!
3 Hours of in-class lectures plus an additional hour or two with online podcasts. Uses the class as a guinea pig for her doctorates degree assignments. You have to ask questions for a quiz grade after listening to the podcasts, but she covers everything in the 5+ lectures. Almost no classwork was done, only tests were done in-person.
Miss Anderson give a quiz or allows students to ask questions from Podcast. At first it was not my favorite, but it does help with the lecture. She really cares about her students and allows them to ask question and participate. The class is tough, but if you ask her questions and talk to her, she is nice enough to help. She actually remembered me.
Not a very understanding teacher, suffered a zero on one grade because she had not posted the quiz and when I told her she didnt allow me to take the quiz. She believed that she had posted it. However not long after I found other unclear assignments with two different due dates. If you take please make sure to look at all she posts and verify dates
Miz, Anderson was a great professor and one of the best I took online. You have to be prepared to participate and to do discussion, quizzes and test. I would recommend her. She always replied to e-mail and don't be afraid to ask questions. All assignments were up and ready to go the first day.
Expect to do multiple choice and fill in the blank and short answers in her online course. It's a doozy when I took the first exam, but now I know what to expect next time. I had a question and she answered it in a short time.
Be ready to read and have a fast start at the very beginning. I took this class in the summer, so it was tough and hard. I did find that when I asked questions Tremaine was there to help when I needed the help. She has a good project for you to do. Just log in and be ready to work, but it is worth it. I feel like I'm more prepared now.
In Ms Anderson's online course is great, she engages you with course discussions. The course is by no means a walk in the park, you will have to put in the work, but I say it is well worth it. She uses podcast clips for chapter introduction. I like history and she was a great teacher.
If given the opportunity, I will take Professor Anderson again. An online in U.S. History that is worth taken. The exams are tough, but if you study the materials, she gives you the short answer questions to study. All you need to do is stay organized and read and you will do fine. I had a problem with a question and was able to ask her a question.
There is not a doubt that when you take Prof Anderson's class that you will have to work hard to earn an A. I have to study to maintain my A, but at least the discussion questions in the online class are interesting and it is not boring. Not an easy course, but it is a good prep for moving to the University. She is is persistent in sending messages
Tramaine is the best. I'm almost at the end of the semester with an A for a grade. You will have 5 exams, 5 discussion posts, and Unit Quizzes. You are expected to write in this class. It is not a walk in the park, but well worth my time and I am learning in this class. You have to work for the grade.
Not sure what to say. For an online course I was challenged because this is my first college credit course. I found the course to be easy to follow through, but a demand on my time. if you work full time and you have other things this may not be the class. I did enjoy the discussion posts, she gives reviews for exams. You have to do the work.
Miss Anderson is a great teacher, she was available by phone or e-mail if I had a question or concern. There is an expectation that you will have to do the work in the class. She does not drop grades but she has extra credit work. Although I took her online, I did make a trip to go to campus to see her. Good looking teacher :)
Get ready to work in the online class. She has a good set up, but you have to manage your time to get the work done. Expect feedback and when you e-mail or call her, she is great to respond to you. Not an easy course, but definitely preps you for university level classes.
Expect to do work in this online course. You will have to do discussion questions from primary sources. Quizzes and Exams. The exams are tough, but if you read the text and take notes, you will be fine. She replies to emails and offers extra credit. I would recommend her, you must work hard to earn an A.
Ms. Anderson has a clear grading criteria. There is not a weekly paper, but you have to answer discussion questions, you can take the quiz twice and then you have a unit exam. A solid college history course. Not easy, and it takes time, but I learned alot. Traimaine is nice and not a mean teacher. I would take her again.
Taking this course for the summer session. I think that this class would work better for a long semester because of the workload, but none the less, I am learning quite a bit, and if you reach out to her, she will respond quickly. Be ready to do some heavy work. I didn't find it difficult tho.
Ms Anderson is the best! She was very encouraging and thoughtful. I didn't have a problem whatsoever with her as a teacher. This was my first college course and I learned a lot about the U.S. She is a good choice and worth taking. You will need to be good at time management to take the class.
I never felt like just a number to Ms. Anderson. Even though I took her for the online course she was very encouraging and always responded quickly to any question or concern I had. I enjoyed the class discussions online, she asks questions that challenges you to think about History, this is not just not memorization. She has a unique view.
In this class you will learn, and you may even not do so well the first go-around, but Tramaine is a very helpful teacher. Like the other comment, she is unique and helps students to think from a different perspective. I was challenged and thought about quitting, but she encouraged me to stick with it and now I'm doing just fine. I'm glad I did.
Ms. Anderson has videos for each chapter that I suggest you watch while reading. She gives extra credit for each unit test. Easy to email and get a response and help. I have taken online classes for a while and I truly wish I could have her for HIST II . She is a stickler for spell check so make sure you use it cause she will take off points.
Took Professor Anderson during a wintermester class and it was great. I was not sure what to expect since it was over the break and well it's the holidays. Professor Anderson was great , she always sent emails to inspire us and she was always accessible for any issues. Great teacher !!! I would definitely take her again.
She is very considerate, and encouraging. she gives extra credit for every unit (help students bump up the grades). test was easy. 40% of grades was from discussion post and responses to question. She is picky with punctuation marks and spelling. she'll take away points she is quick to respond to your email.
Taking her this semester. I have a Saturday class, and she is interesting. Although it is tough, I have found history to be more valuable since taking her.
Ms. Anderson is great! She used a lot of way to get us involved in understanding United States. I wasn't interested in history at all at first, but after taking this class, I was interested. She is not easy! She is tough, but she is fun and very encouraging to students. Be ready to do some critical thinking stuff.
Professor Anderson has a great support and communication system set up for the class, which is very helpful with discussion posts that are due every week. Expect to read, write and learn in her class. She truly cares about History and wants all students to succeed and do well. Highly recommend this class, you will learn a lot- she is a great Prof.
Ms. Anderson is a wonderful teacher. She is SUPER EASY. You have a discussion board to do each week, a reflection paper (super easy) to do each unit, and unit exams (super easy). She offers extra credit. I would recommend her for US History I.
She is an excellent teacher. the expectations are clear and she makes sure you know when a discussion board is due. I took the class online and it was a breeze, the reading is easy as long as you make sure to take time and do it. I would take her for every history class if I could.
Ms. Anderson is a jewel! She is really helpful and made learning history quite interesting. She has a different way of teaching, but you will still learn and be interested in the past. The class is based on reading, unit exams and discussions. Very organized and she is helpful.
Ms. Anderson takes her classes seriously but in an interesting way that makes you want to learn. If you work hard and study for your test and turn in all of your assignments you are sure to pass. She will help you if you need assistance. I really enjoyed her class and I would highly recommend her.
Ms. Anderson, is tough but great and does give you feedback. She does give a project as an assignment. We did a Film Critique of a Historical film, which was pretty interesting. I enjoyed the assignment. She is organized and does respond to e-mails.
Professor Anderson is great. She makes her expectations very clear and lays out what you need to do for the class. She's well organized and quick to respond to emails. We had 3 discussion posts, a film critique, 5 tests, and extra credit. Tests are super easy just make sure to take the practice quizzes, they will really help. Overall, easy class!
This professor is a tough grader and I do not understand her feedback one bit. Good luck if you take her.
Currently taking her class. It is tough but informative. She is very helpful. I've emailed and she returns the email in no time. I have had no trouble at all.
She teaches class like were all going to be history majors. I never quite caught on to what she was expecting for assignments, her feedback was confusing. Her tests consisted of whats the MOST correct answer... which made them more difficult and confusing. History is fact, not opinion. Would not take her again.
Ms Anderson is easy to talk to and work with on campus. Frankly, I find her method of teaching interesting and from a new perspective. You do have to know all parts of history. And since she is a history teacher, I expect that to be the case. I'm taking her in the Spring because I like her style of teaching.
Taking Ms Anderson for an online course, the test are hard, had issues with the ProctorU, but she was helpful. I wish she taught 1302 online, because she is organized and all responsive when I reach out to her. I really had to read and study on my own, so that was rough. She is resp9nsive and helpful teacher.
Wasn't sure what to expect, but I enjoyed the class. She is a clear teacher who is not afraid to share her experiences, but makes history relevant. 5 exams tho and you better study and come to class. If you participate you will find the class helpful. She is a good choice!
Ms. Anderson is a great teacher, very nice and helped me out when I needed it. She is tough but good. I never had any problem reaching her by e-mail, and got a reply within an hour or so. History hasn't been my best subject, but she helped me grasp a better understanding of it and why it is important.
a lot of extra credit! I took it online, and Ms. Anderson replies promptly to any questions regarding discussion boards/tests. Even though it is online, I feel that she interacts with the class as much as as she can through blackboard. You will need the text book, all Dis. board readings are in the book, and she lists links for additional guidance.
Professor Anderson is great. If you need a history class take her. I took 1301 with her and I'll be taking 1302 with her in the spring. She does give extra credit which helps because the test are hard. But if you study for the test they are easy. Don't study you should make a C on the test as long as you listen during lecture and take notes.
Her exams are tough. I would read chapters, take decent notes, and when I got to the test it was like I read the wrong material. It was like she took an arbitrary line out of the book, removed a couple words, and expected me to fill in the blank. I bombed my first exam and emailed her about it. She recommended I read the additional material too...
I took Ms. Tramaine for Hist 1301. I found her grading criteria clear. As an online teacher, she was helpful, and I had no problem with contacting her. The exam were in the beginning tough because she bases them on reading. If you are not reading then you are not going to do good. There is no reason to give the teacher a bad rating.
Professor Anderson is a very nice person and cares about her students but the way she teaches isn't the best, You have to pay close attention to the chapter lectures and read the chapter that goes with it (MINIMUM 30 pages) because the test are VERY detailed. Plus critical thinking prompts every week that have to be super accurate to get an A.
I have found Ms. Anderson's class to be effective. She is helpful and as a new to college student, I am learning how to ask more questions, which she helps with that. I haven't finished the class yet, but I appreciate her enthusiasm as a professor, she is not boring.
I took Anderson for hist. 1301 & 1302 because of the way she teaches. She is so passionate about history and cares about her students. She genuinely loves hearing students feedback and questions. You definitely need to rent a textbook for this class!
skip class you won't pass
I took her class online for maymester, she replies to emails, gives good feedback on dB, textbook is very necessary because all discussion board questions are from the book. You have to work hard for your grade, Get ready to read. 5 exams and 5 discussion boards. Study for the exams if you want to succeed. I used to wake up 2am to study.
I just took Ms. Anderson for the Summer I class. I really enjoyed the class and learned quite a bit in the 5 weeks. The discussion boards are amaze balls. Totally enjoyed those. You do have to read though, so get ready to read. Good class and teacher.
Not an easy class, but a good one She is hands-on and actively participates in discussion boards. She gives lots of feedback. Lots of reading and she is a picky grader. I hope to take her for the second half of US history because she makes it very relevant and interesting.
Best Teacher ever! I am away at college and was able to keep up with my classes here at school as well as with her online class at TCC. She's very hands on even though it's an online class and she sends a lot of reminders so you don't forget anything. She answers emails promptly and the syllabus is EXACTLY how the class starts, goes and ends.
I took this class online in an 8 week class. The instructions were clear, she always emailed back if I had a question and she graded assignments quickly. She does offer some extra credit which is always a plus. I would take her again.
Do not take , tough grader , she doesnt care. I forget taking the pics of the projects but the papers well all typed and organized but she wont grade it. Regret taking the class.
I didn't have one problem with Ms. Anderson, she was a great instructor. She cared whenever I called or sent an e-mail. I learned alot from the class and received full instruction and advise when I asked. I didn't do my work last minute. It pays to turn in work on time. I did not have a bad experience with this professor. She was helpful to me.
I just finished an 8 week course with Mrs. Anderson, it was tough and you had to stay on top of your work, but I found the questions and feedback she gave to be helpful. If you take the 8 week course, be ready to work. It is not easy, but I say it is worth it.
If you take the 8 week course, get ready to work, but her feedback and listening to the podcast on Sundays helped me prepare for what I needed. It is a heavy work load, but plan ahead and turn things in on time. She has short answer questions, be prepared!
Took a summer express class but the workload was easy to keep up with. Tests are long but she gives a detailed study guide to use/follow. She also gives a handful of miscellaneous resources that are helpful outside of her class. Quick response time and very positive and encouraging communication from her. Really enjoyed having her as a professor!
Professor Tramaine is absolutely amazing. She gives great feedback, provides what you need to learn the material in the course, and also provided the book online for the class. I would take her again for sure!
Absolutely terrible! She passes out F's like Halloween candy. Way more of an english class than a history class. She doesn't want you to actually learn history. Avoid at all cost. I am a junior, and the amount of work required for this freshman level class was beyond excessive, as was her grading.
She is a great teacher, but not easy. VERY picky with discussion boards, but oftern participates in the thread. Her podcasts help. Tests are easy to google. Questions are mostly on quizlet. You can make a B on the tests without studying, but you have to work for the Discussion board grades!
This class was interesting, but it was too much for freshman class. I felt like i did not learn much due to the amount of work , I even got my papers corrected by the written lab ( which I never had to do before) and they still were not good enough .would not take her again!
