Professor Chezik is young and that shows when he teaches. He tries to be relatable and is awkward at times. The class isn't hard if you do the work and actually try. There's a mandatory online lab that costs $100 and is useless to the class. It doesn't help and isn't like the quizzes, but it's majority of the homework

He spent most of the class period grimacing at us to answer a question that we had no idea what the answer to it was. Relies on homework alot. We were also promised quizzes every Friday, but that promise fell short early in the semester, so we had like 3 quizzes averaged into our final grade. I had already taken this class in high school, so I found it very easy, but he was still a great teacher and a very nice guy, you'll actually learn math in his class and the TA's were awesome in my class

He is a very understanding and cool professor to get to know. Just study before the quizzes and tests, attend class, and most importantly do the online Homework, they can pile up quickly if you don't. If you keep in mind all of those you will be guaranteed a good grade in the class. I recommend him.

Professor Chezik was by far the best math professor I've had. I really liked his teaching style. He was super easy to understand and offered so much help during class. The TAs walking around were also very helpful if needed.

pretty mid teacher, his class is most run by the TAs and he only goes over the material rather than actually teaching it, if you're okay at math and already know most of the material then you'll do fine, but if you struggle with math you'll have to rely heavily on SI sessions.

Professor Chezik is a pretty great math teacher. Taught well and allowed for time to do practice problems during class. There are quizzes at the end of the week but they should be pretty easy if you attend class and do the homework. TA's were also there and they were nice and helped a lot.

I enjoyed his class because it was easy to engage with. The supplemental instruction (SI) sessions will be helpful throughout the semester as they provide ample opportunities to practice. Additionally, the study guides he provides before tests are extremely helpful."

He has office hours where he will make sure you understand the material clearly and he is a very nice guy in general. Prof Chezik is pretty much your average pre-calc professor you would want. He does rely on the TA's heavily and some of his TA's don't know the material lol. Quizzes weekly and 1-2 HW assignments so not horrible. The tests are lengthy. Definitely requires some self teaching outside of class as he avoids going into depth. Pretty meh but hes chill.

Travis is a great professor! If you show up to the lectures, pay attention, and do your weekly Knewton Alta homework, you'll succeed in this class. I made the mistake of skipping quite a few Knewton Alta homeworks which is why my grade was low. You may have to study outside of class, he has blank + completed worksheets on Canvas that you can use.

He “teaches” very slow and lack luster, mostly going over stuff assuming that we have prior knowledge of subjects we haven't seen before. His TA's while some helpful, others not so much. Even though I'm unfinished with the class I have spent the entire time teaching myself how to do everything. Would not recommend if you actually wanna learn math.

Mr. Chezik is one of the best math professors here! He made Calc 2 very easy to understand. Make sure you attend every class, take notes, do all the HW, and most importantly STUDY FOR EXAMS USING THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS. Do all of that and you'll be fine. Very accessible outside of class and truly wants all of his students to succeed.
