I took the online class and wish I hadn't, he dosen't return e-mails and puts trick questions and typo's on the test's. Also he gives you instuctions that are long winded and hard to understand and when you ask for clarification he just gets more long winded. Oh and there is alot of busy work that wastes time. I took the online class too. It is very hard for a distance learning class. You will earn your grade in this class. The instructor is very nice, but you will not get much help from him. You have to have very good reading comprehension (especially in science) to do well in the class, otherwise you better take it in the classroom.

Travis spent the first day talking about how hard it was for him to get his doctorate. He offers alot of helpful studying advice...that's if this is your first college class. Travis is friendly and passionate about his job. This class, however, I found challenging. The quizzes are very stressful because you take one every week and they cover a lot of material. Mr. Kibota was a wonderful teacher he is very understanding and tries to help his students as much as he can. I will say that this is not an easy three-credit class, there are a lot of assignments, discussions post that you need to complete, but its nothing that I couldn't handle. If you stay focused you should be able to be successful in class.

Kibota waited till the very end of the term to grade all our weekly discussions and labs. Paper you have to write is very long and he grades super difficultly. He says the average score he gives people on rough draft is a 50%. I usually get straight As and I will not get an A in his class. Wouldnt recommend to a friend.

Travis has been the most caring professor I've had so far at Clark, he realizes that college is difficult and truly wants you to succeed. The work in this course is not that difficult if you plan out your work each week, (which if you don't do already, why are you taking college courses) learned quite a bit. Expect A.P. Bio-type concepts.

Professor Kibota takes most of the term to grade your work, but he was fair and gave good feedback. I feel I learned a lot from his class. This is a tough class and you need to put the work in to get a good grade. The exams are conceptual level questions so make sure you study.

He is very dedicated to making sure his students absorb the material. Only problem is that he assigns extra work to make sure that this is happening. There are 2 extra assignments almost every week that make you test out different studying styles and reflect on them. Be sure to start your lab modules early. Still like him as a professor overall.

Dr. Kibota is awesome! He's a practical grader, and is approachable/kind if you have any questions or are struggling. His discussions and study journals are worth a lot of points, so participate in those as much as possible. His assignments focus a lot on how well you're studying and retaining material, but do them and you'll do great. 100/10 prof.

Kibota really cares about his students. Every assignment has a solid full page of written feedback upon grading. The class is very informative, but there are a couple hours of work each week dedicated to discussing study habits and journaling. Nice professor, but I feel like there are probably better options that are more concise.

Genuinely one of the best professors i've had. Encourages you and provides great feedback that's really clear and precise. All assignments are reasonable and easy to follow. Gives plenty of time and opportunity for extra/ to make up credit. Would highly recommend him over any others for biology.

Despite my A grade, Kibota was a disappointment. His study guides were nothing like the exam, and homework felt empty, graded with no effort. Exam questions were unrelated to what we learned. He was overly focused on Dr. Chew, which distracted from biology learning. His lab answer keys were sometimes wrong, putting students at a disadvantage.

As a person, he is kind, amazing with accommodations, wonderful, 10/10. As a professor, I found his lectures hard to follow and rarely matched up to tested material. He tries putting out resources like practice quizzes, BUT THEY DON'T MATCH UP. He'll say at the start of the week, that'll be in the quiz, doesn't match up. Kind person though.

Loved him as a person. As a teacher not so much. Study guides do not correlate with exams. Lectures do not correlate with exams.
