He is very interactive with the class and makes going to Aerospace class enjoyable and a good learning environment. I liked how down-to-earth Captain Moore was. He was someone you could ask questions to and get a high-quality answer. I also enjoyed that my instructor knows when to be intense and when to be laid back.
Great class for AFROTC requirement and overall basic knowledge of the Air Force.
Capt Moore is very talkative but he gives good advice in the process of talking. He is good at engaging and keeping the class involved in whatever lecture he has for the day.
Lots of interactive lectures.
Very fun class Sometimes can go overtime when getting deep in conversation (only a few minutes!)
First off this class is an Air Force ROTC-associated class so there is an element of military bearing that is expected to be maintained during class. However, Captain Moore does a wonderful job of keeping the class engaged seeing to it that everyone participates, and making sure that the class environment is a relaxed yet challenging one.
Captain Moore is an incredible instructor because he promotes his students to use practical intelligence rather than just memorization. He also wants his students to succeed in life, so he will help any student with any need.
Captain Moore communicates expectations well and is very approachable. You can go to him for recruiting needs or for personal needs and he is always willing to help.
He is extremely funny and very relatable. The lectures are pretty boring at times but are most of the time pretty short.
Capt. Moore is a great teacher! In class, you will go over PowerPoints and discuss the history of the Air Force. However, if you read the student readers (published in canvas) then you would spend class talking about daily life things like credit, healthy habits, and taxes. He truly wants you to succeed and gives you many opportunities to do so!
Very good at getting everyone involved and makes the class fun
Captain Moore is the funniest but when needed most serious guy in the classroom!
He's Awesome. Would highly recommend, please take this class.
Turn in assignments and participate in class and your grade will be good.
If you complete the assignments on Canvas, you'll get an A. You'll learn professional and leadership skills to help you apply in the real world.
he is a great person
This professor is one of the funniest and relaxed guys you're going to meet, and he is so understanding and caring for his students!
He's a dope, fairly laid-back, chill teacher, but will call you out if you are doing something wrong. He's funny and a good instructor, and he doesn't hold back when giving you direct constructive criticism (but he'll say it in a nice way).
This is a great class with a lot of great tools in the real world!
Instructor was very helpful towards achieving your goal. In lectures he would make jokes and give funny examples.
Great class for AFROTC, isn't the worst in terms of workload and it shows the importance of communication.
Great professor for developing leadership skills and get connected to ROTC peers and Cadre.
Very easy to approach, hardly can you ask a question and receive an answer that is hard to understand. Gives good advice, actively encourages you and reminds you of upcoming stuff to be aware of constantly.
Captain Moore has provided a great learning space.
To be honest, Captain Moore is among the top instructors at OU. He's exceptionally approachable and down-to-earth, and he genuinely cares about his cadets. I highly recommend him and DET 675. Best decision you would ever make in your life!
Great professor that cares for his students and wants them to succeed.
Travis Moore is a great instructor. He goes through the lecture quickly but effectively, while also allowing a significant amount of time at the end of class to just talk, ask questions, etc. He makes class very fun and incorporates a lot of personal experience into the topic of conversation.
The professor demonstrated excellent professional abilities by utilizing an engaging teaching style and effectively conveying the material with clarity. He's also accessible out of class if a student need help with anything.
This class was an awesome experience. The amount of effort you put in though is the what you will get back out of the course
While he does have a unique and unconventional approach to things, his overall class was highly enjoyable. It feels like a continuous conversation with the class. Many interesting topics and he pushes us to critically think any time he gets, haha.
LLAB is more cadet lead rather than cadre, but it is apparent the cadre emphasizes the importance of clear execution. My experience with LLAB as a POC was pretty fun! Getting the opportunity to learn combatives with Capt. Moore was amazing!
Captain Moore focuses on discussion throughout the classroom.
Captain Moore's class was incredibly enjoyable. He focuses heavy on collaboration and discussion, and has a variety of outlooks on issues that although may be impossible, are ideas we have never thought of before.
He's an engaging professor who's always available for feedback.
Captain Moore provides many in-class leadership activities. However, he's very long-winded and not always direct to the point. He cares about his students but it's hard to stay engaged when there were many tangents each class period, and by the end of class there were multiple lesson plans that needed to be completed so they were typically rushed.
LLAB is an engaging leadership environment, the job you have greatly affects your experiences during LLAB throughout the semester.
Very easy to talk to but gaslit the whole class multiple times and gave assignments that weren't relevant to the class. Overall not bad but take a lot of things he says with a grain of salt.
Participation is super important and LLAB is fun when you do so. You learn a lot especially when you think you did really badly that week. You get out of it what you put in.
Lots of critical thinking is required. Questions and assignments can be open-ended and may not have a correct answer, so find one and advocate for it. Even if it may be wrong, you can still advocate for yourself, and you can learn how to do so in this class.
Depending on your role, there may be a lot required of you. Nothing is unmanageable. Attendance is required and participation is also required.
Captain Moore was able to not only hit the objectives that were required but also gave us a lot of time to accomplish and talk about other things that actually applied to being leaders.
All Cadre during LLAB were able to not only mentor but supervise all operations during LLAB effectively. In addition to this providing great feedback outside of LLAB.
Critical thinking and problem solving heavy
Great professor, class enhances leadership skills through practical discussions using personal experiences. Professor also provides easy and minimal homework. Class can be entertaining at times.
Lots of group discussion of leadership topics and opinions
Good professor, grading is straight forward and follows rubrics. Some clarification may be needed on assignments posted to Canvas.
Provides helpful feedback during LLab.
LLAB is always a good way to test your leadership skills outside of classroom instruction, and it lets cadre have time to do in-person corrections. However, depending on your job, the level of work and what you get out of LLAB, as well as time working with instructors, differs.
Travis Moore is a creative instructor, meaning, he really likes to ramble on stuff that may or may not have importance. Majority of the time, his topics are important, but there have been times where the class lasted longer because Moore was focusing on one topic for much too long. However, he does provide good thoughts to the discussion.
Enjoys talking about lots of different topics, resulted in many lessons being rushed through. He also gave assignments that didn't have anything to do with the lessons. He's kind of particular about how you come to conclusions/answers, and would kind of gaslight the class if the thought process was different than his.
Travis Moore is an intelligent professor that is very good at conversating with students. There are only 2 midterms a semester and a handful of assignments. He is very lenient when it comes to due dates as long as you have a reason for why it was missed. Discussions on the same topic can go on for a while but most of the time there productive
He is a good person and he can teach you very important things, while he gets off topic a lot, he also thinks feelings aren't real, which is a personal opinion. I don't disagree that things can't be blown out of proportion, but the fact that he says all feelings are not real is kinda strange.
Travis Moore will push you to think outside of the box in this class. Not only will his class help you consider alternative perspectives, but it will also force you to work with all sorts of people.
Captain Moore is very enthusiastic about the Air Force ROTC program and has really done a good job about being both engaging and tailoring a sense of responsibility and leadership in each cadet. I've really enjoyed working with him this semester and look forward to the next one.
He is pretty epic.
I took this class as a requirement for AFROTC, it wasn't too much of an addition to class load. Just had to write a few documents, pretty easy
Very personable and promotes critical thinking
Capt Moore, at first has a style that may be hard to swallow. However, if you can check your ego at the door and be willing to listen to what he says, you will benefit massively. He offers insightful feedback and genuinely wants to see his students improve. I am excited to work with him Moore moving forward.
Capt Moore made a rather stagnant course into something challenging and fun. Excited see what the future holds.
Travis Moore sometimes has great points about leadership and how his students should never settle and keep climbing, but class often became a long discussion that did not focus on the course's subject. Often class would continue past the class block time as well. Otherwise, Travis Moore took his time to hold his students to higher standards.
Travis Moore encourages innovation and personal growth. He believes in our potential and guides us to achieve more than we thought possible. His lectures run long but are always impactful in my life. His teaching draws on experiences, making the leadership content easier to grasp. I look forward to his class each week more than any other at OU.
Leadership Lab is always a place that tests your application of communication and leadership. Captain Moore always expects high output from everyone. He pushes everyone to excel and does not like excuses. I am glad that I took this course because of him, and I plan to do it again next semester.
Great in class discussions!
Great facilitator during LLAB always bringing meaningful feedback to the POC on what went well and should keep doing and what went poorly and needs to change.
Professor Moore facilitated leaderhsip development and projects that have helped improve me as a leader! Would take again!
Aero class was always a great start to my days, always looked forward to our awesome discussions in class and after class.
Professor Moore is very engaging and provides a lot of insight into the various aerospace and AFROTC concepts. He will challenge your way of thinking and help you see a different side.
Lovely class
I love LeadLab
An amazing class that teaches you about leadership and how to think for yourselves.
AERO 1300 or Leadership Laboratory is about the cadets and developing them as people and future leaders in the Air Force. It is different every week and engaging.
Hands down the best class I've ever taken in my entire life
Beneficial to leadership
He chill and waht not
I look forward every day to LLAB. It's my favorite part of the week
Great class
Will help further your development as a future Air Force officer.
Developing as a leader and follower
He is good and attentive.
He challenges you to think differently.
Overall a great professor. Can get off topic when doing an lecture, but these topics can be very beneficial. Class was easy and the homework with this class positively impacted my learning experience.
Exceptional at encouraging individuals to examine various aspects of the world from different angles.
I enjoy his courses, he is fair and wants students to expand upon their ideas. But, does it in a way that forces us to question more than what our ideas originated. Great Professor overall. If I had any criticism, sometimes the lesson needs to be rushed because we are talking about other things. However, I am content
I think wing staff, specifically the wing commanders did a very good job creating the plans
Caption Moore has a new topic to discuss every day as well as overarching lessons for the class to learn over the course of the semester. He usually spends some time at the start of the class warming everyone up for discussion by asking us about our days and creating an open and friendly environment.
Leadership Laboratory is focused on allowing the students/cadets to learn through guided experiences. I learned a lot and would absolutely take the course again
Captain Moore has group projects that teach us to work together as a team, you'll get the opportunity to work with people that you haven't worked with before! The class is nice because you'll get time to discuss the content being taught in class. Briefings are very helpful with working on public speaking confidence!
Gives good on the spot feedback when observing leadership styles. Is willing to help outside of Leadership Laboratory with any questions that cadets might have. The expectations are clear and concise.
He's pretty epic. Cares about the well-being of students and gives good advice.
I enjoyed LLAB and learned a lot from peers.
This class developed my leadership skills and provided me with different perspectives through my peers.
Capt. Moore guides great discussions that contribute to real world applications.
Captain Moore loves to get to know his students, and encourages critical thinking and in-depth discussion.
Captain Moore encourages group participation and gives good feedback and advice.
Great Professor.
Clear instructions and grading rubric for all assignments. Talks about relevant information and lets the class freely ask any questions.
Provided great real life stories that gave good knowledge and experience for us going into the Air Force
Great Mentor.
Listen and learn.
If you are a self-aware person who can effectively use templates, this class is the easiest three-hour course imaginable.
Provides great feedback. Often times an open floor to discuss what the class wants to discuss and even with that he always manages to bring it back to the topic he planned to cover.
Captain Moore was a great lecturer and knew his stuff. If we ever went off topic he would use it for any life experiences he had or the class had to be a better officer.
Uses class time to explain Air Force material and generate class discussion.
Captain Moore was a good instructor that makes sure you know the things you need to know about life. He uses humor effectively, and has a good feel for the class. Make sure your attendance is good, and you'll do great.
Captai Moore is a great instructor. He provides valuable feedback that is honest and direct.
Great Class would take again!
fun and engaging
Good instructor - great at answering questions!
Good instructor!
Professor Moore's class is engaging and develops great leadership skills. Discussions are insightful with real-world applications. Attendance is mandatory, but no textbook required. Unstuckstudy was a helpful study tool alongside other resources.
Captain Moore always leads a fun but informative class. Often diving into broad yet deep leadership concepts and trying to tie everyday life into the discussions. He is always interested in our lives and seems like he geniunly cares about each of us being successful.
Very professional and a great mentor
A great class for devolving and growing your leadership skills
Be involved and always ask for clarification on assignments.
Participation matters. Make sure to read and follow every prompt on an assignment.
Did a great job teaching and explaining the ways the of the Air Force.
LLAB is a great enviroment to learn.
Leadership lab is a great opportunity to self-discover and learn about yourself and others, and what it takes to be a leader and follower. You need to/will get very good at receiving feedback and instruction, as well as gaining confidence through failure.
Captain Moore likes to talk about real-world situations, scenarios, and problems to solve. This can be helpful but sometimes he unexpectedly changes lesson plans, and you don't often know what to expect or how to come to class prepared to have a good discussion.
Does a great job connecting with each student
Does a great job creating challenges for students to solve
Capt Moore definitely values meaningful in-class conversations about the Air Force and student participation, and is open to answer any questions from the class. He is one to change directions of the class if someone asks a good question and he thinks there is information beneficial to all of us. He provides clear feedback on performance as well.
Leadership laboratory is a great class overall and is a good opportunity to develop yourself personally and professionally for a career in the Air Force. Capt Moore provides clear and direct feedback, and is open to questions on such feedback so there is plenty of opportunity to improve and ask questions about performance and content.
Captain Moore shows a distinct care for his students development.
Cares about interaction and effective training, providing valuable feedback when he can.
Capt Moore is an energetic, passionate instructor who truly cares about his students. He expects participation and gives honest, impactful feedback, never sugarcoated, but always encouraging. You'll know your strengths, your gaps, and how to improve. I am a better leader because of him. Highly recommend!
In Leadership Lab, Capt Moore pushes us to apply what we learn in AERO every week. He challenges us to think critically, step outside our comfort zone, and grow as leaders. Demanding but incredibly rewarding, he brings out your best.
He is a great professor! Just make sure to read all of the instructions with the assignments given it's as easy as that! He is a chill person and will love to answer any questions you guys might have!
Super nice and chill. Just follow all of the directions
Great Professor. Just make sure you pay attention and read assignment instructions properly. I have learned a lot about leadership skills from this class.
He makes sure we understand the values of leadership skills and training. He challenges us to get better in every aspect.
Loved his class
Captain Moore is a great instructor to have as an AS100/200. He is funny and does not make class stressful at all. Most of the time, he talks for 30 minutes about your weekend or makes an inspirational speech, and then blows through the actual lecture in about 10 minutes. Just do your work on time and it is literally impossible to get below an A.
great class!!
He expects that you share in class and seem engaged.
This class is a great way to find your voice and learn strong communication methods while developing your leadership ability.
Very personable and strives to help you become the best version of yourself!
Talks in a very personable way and gives great feedback.
Awesome AFROTC Instructor
Very good class, perfect for getting into AFROTC. Captain Moore is great, always ready to talk and take questions.
He is pretty cool
Great instructor, if you want great success you must read instructions on assignments carefully and be prepared to take notes and read. Every cadet needs to participate daily.
Come to leadership lab prepared to participate, do research on the topic at hand before to have a head start. Attention to detail, and integrity are essential for success in this program.
Great Instructor and gives great feedback but be ready to read your SR and come prepared to class. Also, make sure to participate in class discussions.

He is a great professor overall and just a great person. His classes are very laid-back and not stressful, and he is very approachable if you have any questions.
Do your work and go to class, and you will be fine; the professor is great and interesting.
He is a great professor and just laid back. As long as you do your work, read the instructions, attend class, and participate in class, you will pass easily.
Great at giving answers to anything that you have, and if a very funny/good person to be around even in this type of setting.
Captain Moore is a very chill, down to earth dude. Very funny guy. One thing is that he does spend a lot of time asking questions about us and little time on the material but any questions we do have about AFROTC he answers well during that time.
Make sure you read the OPORDS before coming to class! Other than that a lot of hands on activities and group work for a goal. Expands on leadership skills.
Amazing professor, straight to the point, and he's there to make sure you succeed!
Make sure to double check the OPORD before going to LLAB!
I thought Captain Travis Moore was a wonderful professor and mentor as I start my journey to becoming an officer in the United States Air Force. He has helped me navigate the challenges of coming to college out of state.

Captain Moore is always making sure you're within regulations, and making sure you're reaching out to others to get help from other GMC and POC.
He was a pretty good teacher
Good for Aero
Very stand up guy, tells you how it is in a realistic tone that makes you understand that his teaching style is direct, but not personal and should never be taken as such.
He is very clear on expectations, make sure to follow them and look at the small details
Read all materials that are provided to best prepare for discussions. Make sure to look at the small details and follow the instructions and your golden.
Great teacher, super honest and makes all expectations known. Show up do the work, put in effort, your grade will show it.
Good class, show up, you'll get a good grade.
A lot of course material to ready but the rubric is pretty standard so the graining isn't harsh at all. He also works with you on missing assignments and late grades!

Had such a great time this semester with Captain Moore. I learned a lot on who I am as a cadet in his class, while he taught us the skills that we will carry with us in the future. With his assignments, you have to be very carful, making sure that your doing what he is asking. Overall, 10/10 teacher!

Great proffessor, cares about the students
Good grader, very realistic
teaching style is clear and structured, which makes it easier to stay focused and understand the material. I appreciate how you challenge us while still supporting us when we need help.
Capt Moore does a great job at encouraging us to be better leaders. He is also an excellent teacher who relies both on his own words and the textbooks to educate us!
He has a great attitude when it comes to inspiring his students, and his constructive criticism makes it easier to correct what you have made a mistake on without it being too harsh a comment.
He was very open to his students and was respected in the class.
Good professor, just do your work and use the resources he gives you.
just show up and listen
LLAB is a combination of people teaching and letting us be leaders, and it has taught me so much abouut myself adn AFROTC as a whole.
Read the student reader before class.
Be ready to go at 6AM.
Capt. Moore was a great professor who made the class feel welcoming. He always asked how our weekend was before starting, which created a comfortable and personal atmosphere. His criteria were clear and easy to follow, and if you did what was asked you earned a good grade. He liked to talk, but his energy kept the class engaging and enjoyable.
Captain Moore is a very respectable and inspiring teacher. His teaching style is laid-back, with an emphasis on growing his students as cadets and as people, in general. To succeed in the class, be sure to participate, ask questions, speak up, and read the student reader before class.
LLAB is something that not only grows you as a cadet but also as a person. If you put in the effort every day you show up, participate, and engage with other cadets and the cadre, you'll most definitely succeed.
Captain Moore is great, helps us as best as he can
A great role-model, very fun to have a class with.
Participate in class discussions.
As long as you read what was asked, and you did your homework on time the class isn't tough. Captain Moore is willing to work with you if you bring anything up to him and is honest about what needs to be done.
Excellent instructor, gives a lot of constructive feedback.
Excellent instructor, gives a lot of constructive feedback
Class was mainly student lead and overseen by cadre like Captain Moore. When the cadre dp speak it's normally good advice.
He is a great guy and is funny. If you just read, listen, and be on top of things you will have no issues.
Great environment, lots to learn. Come prepared to participate and read/listen.
Capt. Moore is an overall great teacher and person. It really sucks that he is leaving after this year, but if I could, I would take all of his classes all over again.
Not much of class time is spent with Capt Moore lecturing, it's primarly group discussion.
Hardest part is waking up at 0600 for the class, but if you can show up, and participate, you'll be fine.
This is a really good class and it help you gain your footing in the AFROTC program.
This class is a really good course for learning leadership.
I really enjoyed my time in this class. Weekly assignments are easy, but it is easy to lose points for little things like formatting. If you take your time and read the instructions, there will be no problem. Participation in class matters, but it's a very low-stakes environment and questions are encouraged for the whole class to learn from them.
This course is great for learning leadership and Capt. Moore's feedback is always specific and helpful.
Lots of class discussion and engagement Mainly for Air Force ROTC cadets but open to all Mandatory for all Air Force cadets Fun for Any major
Mandatory for Air Force ROTC cadets Leadership lab Got to learn leadership scenarios Sometimes it's fun, sometimes it's a waste of time
Captain Moore was very engaging in class, keeping everything interesting at all times. He would converse with students frequently on a personal level, and get to know students. He would sometimes spend a lot of class time talking to students as apposed to covering materials, but was never really an issue.
The cadre take a bit of a back seat in this course; however, Captain Moore's presence is often appreciated.
Great professor all around, very direct and does not sugarcoat. Online communication can be tough at times, as far as response times from the prof. However, outside of this class, his schedule is very busy.
Great professor, has good leadership, online communication can be tough as far as response times, however outside of the class he is very busy.
Great professor. Straight to the point, does not sugar coat but he always has your best interest at heart.
Great class; however, if you are not ready to be up at 6AM for two hours of briefings, it's probably not for you.
Great teacher, really learned a lot.
Amazing professor! Gives clear feedback and has great lectures.
Amazing instructor.
Awesome professor! Makes the class enjoyable while still being very informative.
Dude's a chiller. Best instructor I've had by far, gonna miss taking his classes after he leaves.
Amazing Instructor. Clear feedback and straight to the point!
Extremely good instructor! Very blunt and won't sugarcoat, which is extremely good feedback!
Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about learning.
This is one of my favorite teachers of all time; he really cares for everyone in the class and cracks many jokes. If I could take him for any other class, I would!
This is my favorite teacher of all time; he is really caring and will always listen if you have any questions. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
Class is really early
its cool n/a
Capt Moore is extremely knowledgeable on just about everything in the Air Force, and does very well at helping students in a huge array of topics in class. He does tend to talk a lot, often not about the subject of the day's class, but still with useful information. As long as you follow directions (and there are plenty), you'll do just fine.
He gives lots of excellent feedback, and if you put in the effort, he will work with you to make improvements.
hes a really great guy
Capt Moore is a friendly instructor that cares about our needs and wellbeing and does well with teaching the basics of the Air Force and how it works. Show up ready to participate and ask questions!
Early class (5 am) but you will learn a lot of things from different aspects of the military. Lots of group work, lots of learning, just stick with it and SHOW UP and you will do just fine!
Lots of information however every assignment is given direct instructions.
Learned a lot, challenges you intellectually and professionally
Very easy as long as you read the material and actively participate, definitely sets you up for the future
Engaging instructor, interesting content.
Great instructors, engaging content.
Great Professor, never sugarcoats things and gets straight to the point. If you're ready to just do and and move on to the next thing, here you go.
Be ready for a 2 hour lecture at 0600, but all the info is great and relevant to your leadership development. Great briefs, great speakers, and even some guest speakers.
This professor is really good at letting you know blatantly where you stand, you should never be confused because he will straight up tell you everything you need to know whether it's good or bad. Overall, a great guy and professor.
Be ready for a long lecture but its great material to learn and apply in life.
