What a great professor. Very easy work. Attend every class and do all the work and you will end up with an A. Try to focus on the class instead of him.

His lectures are very practical and relate to the course. He challenges you to think about real life stuff. Makes the class more interesting than other standard boring lecture classes. He does tells quirky jokes but is a fair and will make you laugh :-) If you have hard time showing up for class do not take it as he give surprise assignments.

If your considering in majoring in kinesiology. You will enjoy the class. He gives you the whole inside scoop to what the industry has to offer. He lectures from real life personal experince and is extremely humble and helfull. The class gives you advisement as well as content Enjoyed it

Took his internet class...very easy! But you have to make sure you keep on top of the dates assignments and quizzes are due. If something is wrong e-mail or call him. Very helpful. He is a busy man and a little unorganized (used Syllabus from Fall 06 and doesn't always read/answer e-mail in a timely manner), but those are minor. Take Him! :)

Enjoyed Mr. Proks class. He is very knowledgeable in what he teaches. He tells alot of stories, but those are his experiences. Interesting and easy class. Just show up. An easy A.

I was very surprised with the content of the class. As it helped me with my anatomy class. He gives an easy to understand format with lecturers and assignments that related well to my anatomy class. Show up for class. Do the work and you will learn and earn an A

I took his drugs class and was very impressed with the class. I learned allot about how various substances effect the body and brain. He lecturers about real life stuff. Makes you think about various issues related to drugs. The power point presentation was easy and fun. I recommend taking him. Show up for class do the articles. You will do well

Cool Guy knows allot and makes the class fun... Show up for up class do the work and you will do well. Whining about attendance and assignments is useless. He has a point about what is required in the way of attendance and assignments He will let you know this is college and the profs at Vista care about the students..

I enjoyed the class allot. The guys is cool. Do the work show up and pay attention. You will learn something. The guy has does not look it. But he has been teaching for awhile and can relate to being a student. My brother had him at Laredo Community College in 1999 and is now a certified personal trainer. So if your lazy don't take his class.

The guy is awesome.Thought the class would be boring. I was surprised. He knows his stuff and made the basic first aid stuff really interesting. Learned allot about the different systems in the body and how to care for breathing and heart problems. As a part time coach and mother I feel much more confident should a crisis arise. Great to look at !

The class was very real. Enjoyed the stuff on addiction. Prok tells it like it is. He makes you think Knows allot about drugs The power point assignment was fun and pretty easy. Make sure to do the work and show up for class. He does not accept excuses for missed work.

Superb teacher. My brother had taken his class before and recommended me to take it as well for my kinesiology credit. I did not know what to expect, but the class was great. he really knows what he is talking about. Its a fun class where i learned a wealth of knowledge.He has many stories and experiences.I wish he would teach all my other classes.

His first aid class is really cool. He covers allot of stuff with the human body and practically relates it. I really enjoyed the stuff on muscles and bones injuries. He is really easy and makes it hard to fail his class. Show up pay attention and make sure to do all the assignments and you will get an A I highly recommend him as his class is fun

He was a really good teacher and funny. I enjoyed going to his class everytime which is why i never missed. They didnt offer my major at Northwest Vista (Athletic Training) but he was really helpful and would help me with things sometimes not even pertaining to the class because he was also an athletic training major.

Mr. Travis Prok is the nicest and most caring man I've ever met. He's not afraid to look you in the eye and when he does he really means it! He shares a lot about his personal life; what creeps me out though is the constant gazing in student's eyes...

Mr.Prok is a good teacher. The class is also really easy. You can make a decent grade as long as you turn in your articles and take the online tests.

I took Mr. Prok for First Aid/CPR. He is a funny teacher. Doesn't give alot of work load. He is very straight forward and overall an easy class. Got an A. I would take him again if I needed him for another class.

His drug class is awesome ! Hard to put into words. Real world real life stuff all relevant to the text book and class. Work load is easy show up and do the work. He is also very funny and adds humor to the serious stuff. Enjoyed the class and would take him again

DO NOT GET THE BOOK, YOU WILL NOT EVEN OPEN IT. 10 weekly current events, do all of them. 3 tests that you take online at home, 1 final in class but easy to exempt the final. A power point presentation due at the end of semester worth 30% of your grade, it's easy. Don't miss class and contribute to the discussion and this class is an easy A.

Never used book, Attendance is mandatory especially for TUES. ARTICLEs (easy), No Homework,THE 3 TESTS ARE DONE ON UR OWN AT HOME OR LAB W/E, &thats it, I Learned A LOT, but his class is not hard at all. AND HE HAS A THING W/PPL WHO SMOKE HE CAN LECTURE ON SOMKING THE WHOLE CLASS, which was funny..lol

I actually used the text book and took the class seriously even though the work load was fairly easy. I can honestly say that I learned allot and would take another class from him. Mr Prok has allot of experience and his lectures help in many areas. I enjoyed the anatomy and physiology section.

AMAZING!!I had Prok for Drug use and abuse and first aid and I had such a great time in his class!!I did not purchase the book and we never needed it. He inspires his class and motivates you!Go to class that is really important to him and is worth a lot of your grade!! You will not be disappointed in these courses!! I actually learned a lot!!

Really enjoyed the lectures on anatomy and physiology. Mr Prok made understanding the circulatory system in relationship to CPR very helpful. May consider becoming an EMT Enjoyed the class and would take another from him. The current event articles helped allot in choosing a topic for the power point project.

Had Mr Prok for both Drugs and First Aid Awesome Instructor ! He makes his expectations very clear on the first day of class Show up to the class. Its pretty simple if your serious about school. Do the work and you will do well...I used the text book and have positive reviews for both classes I wish he taught more classes as I would take him again.

Great teacher! Enjoyed his class... Easy A if you do what he ask you to do. He does a lot if eye contact which I liked... Made me feel he was talking just to me... 10 current event articles and a PowerPointto be done... Plus he's not that bad to look at...

Mr. Prok is an excellent teacher. Very down to earth. Motivates you to believe in your self, being that he had a hard life when he was younger. Very easy to understand and funny too. OH DID I MENTION HE IS SUPER HOT FOR A GUY IN HIS MID FORTIES!

Had instructor for both CPR and Drug class. Excellent instructor. Cares about your success and is willing to help and work with you. Don't buy textbook he has power point information for class online. If you show up to class, do current events, take tests on time and do power point you will get an A and not have to take the final. Easy!!!

Super easy professor! Very laid back, funny and helpful. His CPR class was fun! If you do all the work you will get an easy A. Dont let him scare you in the beginning with assignments, its just an act :)

Took Professor Prok for First Aid & CPR. It was a good class, and he was a really down to earth guy with many stories to tell. He can go off topic at times, but the stories are funny. Attendance counts for participation points, so try to be at every class. Do the current event articles and tests, and you will get an A.

He is strict on phone use during class and expects class participation Which is common sense and a common courtesy . I really enjoyed the class discussions. He has allot stories that validate the class content and discussions.

Professor Prok has been by far the most influential professor that i've had at vista. I took his "drug use" class and it was honestly my favorite. He gives you many real life stories and insight into his lectures. I highly recommend taking him. His class is very informative and fun, i loved it. We didn't use our textbook at all.

Prok is a very cool guy, very insightful & loves to share his wisdom & stories with the class. Easy A. Although he is a great guy, you won't actually learn anything academic, which is the point of taking classes. Even though conventional wisdom is more important in the long run, Prok seems to neglect the material he is supposed to teach.

I had Mr Prok for First Aid and CPR I very much enjoyed his practical approach to teaching. He did a great job on breaking down the resuscitation process of the circulatory and respiratory system when dealing with an emergency This was far one of the most valuable academic components that I learned and feel confident going to nursing school

Mr Prok is an awesome prof. The drug use and abuse class was amazing. The academic high point of the class that I benefited greatest from was the discussion on the Addiction process. He had real world wisdom that is paramount to the subject. MR Prok has by far been a positive influence on me personally. Luved the class.

Hands down the coolest professor at vista. Took Prok for "drug use and abuse" and "first aid". Made two A's.. easy! He likes to tell stories and will go off subject but theyre funny and he makes class fun. Easy work and 1 power point at the end of the semester which he grades very easy. if your present, youll get a 100. TAKE PROK!

He's one of the coolest instructors at NVC and has made a huge impact on my life and will on everyone's if taken seriously. Keep in mind do not get on his bad side he will be very quick to take corrective action. But if you just do what you need to do then you will receive an A+ no problem.

Mr Prok Drug Use & Abuse Class was awesome. As a future chemical dependency counselor I very much enjoyed his practical approach to sharing his insight and stories which were all relative to the course content. He is strict on attendance and arriving late to class. If you attend class you are well informed and prepared for all exams & assignments

Took him for First Aid since it's required for Nursing. He's basically a walking encyclopedia. He's full of knowledge. Absorb as much as you can from him because he's a great teacher. Class is not hard if you do your part. Show up, turn in articles on time and in proper format and listen in class to pass your tests.

I took him for two classes. Found both classes too be very good. As a result I am now pursuing the fitness professional program with him. He possess a wealth of knowledge on the subjects that he teaches. I very much enjoy the practical examples that he sites through his personal experiences. The reality factor of his teaching is very helpful

He is very inspirational towards his students. Was a nursing major and he completely inspired me to go into the field of sports medicine. I am super glad I've taken his class. He may talk about real life situations quite a bit, but he knows his stuff. If you are a tobacco user, be ready to get his incite on tobacco products. He cares for students.

I took Prok for First aid/CPR and his class was fun and easy! Attendance does matter but its such an easy class its almost hard to fail. He will try his best to work with you in any way he can. He will almost always be a little late but he does not have a 15 minute rule!

Enjoyed the class. As an older student I really enjoyed the practical application of the course and how it crossed over with my Anatomy Physiology class. It was a good fit for me. Mr Prok is a good teacher and cares about his students. He will work with you. The class is fairly easy providing you show up do the work and complete all assignments.

It was an easy class. He discusses the entire body and describes how each part connects and effects the other parts. Homework is once a week, you review a medical news report or technique, there is one research project at the end. I recommend going.

Mr. Prok, may seem odd at first but he really is passionate about his craft, he really does care about his students. He will challenge you and motivate you. He knows how to relate life experiences to his lessons and at times he gets side tracked but it still correlates. He makes class go by fast. As long as you do the work, you'll pass.

Good Professor but he can be long winded at times. He has set standards for attendance and no late work. But he's got a great sense of humor and cares about his students.

Very much enjoyed Mr Prok's class. He is very funny and knows his stuff. I really enjoyed how he connects real world health topics with his lectures and class assignments. He is a great teacher that cares about his students.

The class had some really helpful and beneficial lectures on the different parts and systems of the human body that related to the hands on part of the course. The class was fun and very interesting. Overall average in regards to home work and difficulty. Attendance and participation of in class work assignments are mandatory and fairly easy.

Prok is a great professor, does a good job at showing how the material we go over is used in everyday life. Second class with this man, got an A in both courses.

Prok is so funny! He is loud and proud to be a teacher and i love that. when a professor loves teaching, that's when students learn the most!! He is amazing

Professor Prok is hilarious and a great Professor. He is passionate about what he teaches, not only that, he cares about his students. He wants his students to be successful in life and wants his students to take care of themselves. Especially their mental health. I learned quite a bit from his First Aid class.

Very easy class with an entertaining instructor. Prok is a funny and smart teacher who always had a story to tell and knew what he was talking about. The only problem is that your grade will be affected if you don't show up or forget to do your weekly article. Other than that, the class is definitely worth taking.

Took in summer one. What I enjoyed the most about this class is that he related the course to real-life situations so you can understand. Great humor. Current events are due every day every other week. Chapter homework almost every day, pretty easy if you read the book. A project @ the end of the semester. Cell phones NOT allowed. WILL call u out.

I LOVED professor prok! He was an amazing teacher and really cared for his students, one of my favorite professors ever. There is a weekly report do but it's so easy, just make you sure you do them or you won't pass. A couple tests online. Responds to emails right away. TAKE HIM FOR SURE!!! Miss you prok:/

Can't say I really enjoy remote classes with covid. But I really enjoyed this class and the teacher ! Everything is laid out & easy to follow The lectures relate to the tests & discussion assignments. The big bonus is everything was due on Sundays which was very helpful.
