one of the worst teachers at this school. his lectures are not on the tests. reading the book doesn't help any. never take this class. my advise is to take it at a community college when you're off track. that way you might actually pass the class and learn something too. he should not be allowed to teach.

Bad teacher. Really hard. Didn't follow the book. The tests were like a foreign language... after studying!

His section will be entertaining, but not very helpful for the tests. he basically likes to brag about himself and the cool things he does. When the test has nothing to do with his lectures (ie. dogs, elk, or chukars) or what he said would be on it, he will blame you for not reading the chapters enough (I read every word about 3 times). Good luck!

Class is a presentation on all things Tavis Wall, 1)elk 2)killing elk 3)chuckars 4)upcoming fishing trip. When he does venture out into biology concepts, imagine a bloodhound who's hot on the trail of a tangent. He can't really track down a good point, but he'll spend all hour trying. If he's your only option, take it next semester.

Call him T-bone. He loves it. He can dish it out but can't take it. He better hope he doesn't see me again now that I have graduated.

Terrible teacher. Random tangents all the time. He talks about so many unnecessary things. His tests have things that we've never learned about. It is a fairly easy class, but I hated going. I hardly learned anything at all.

Do not take any classes from Brother Wall! He doesn't speak in complete sentences, he doesn't really teach you anything. He's a nice person but he can't teach. Avoid his classes at all cost, you have to take his class for the second part of general biology, and it's super easy, but beyond that don't take anything from him!!!

Do not take this class from Brother Wall. He is a nice person but the teaching is so below par. He does not make sense when teaches, does not answer questions well at all and I dread going to this class. You read, have quizzes and you meet with your group every week which isn't bad but the teaching is! Do NOT take this class from him.

I would not take this class from him. EVER. I dreaded coming every day and the things he talks about in class really are awful and crude. Ruined my entire day because of how he mocks the class openly and talks about making love to his wife. It's awful. Move onto someone else Please!

Key in on this! DO NOT take this class from Bro wall. He does not prepare you for the tests at all, he talks about things that don't even pertain to science, and he teaches solely from power points which is not helpful. Avoid him at all costs.

All he ever talks about is his hunting stories. His tests always seem easy, but they are full of trick questions. He is terrible at teaching and I absolutely hated this class.

Super funny guy. you can tell that he is really passionate about the subject. On the not so positive he tells a lot of stories, he doesn't teach very well, you're expected to Learn things on your own. The class is interactive but not very educational.

I was frustrated every class. Even when I went to his office several times I did not receive any help, I read the book, studied the quizzes,power points and still had to guess my way through all 4 tests. He never stays on topic and will not answer questions, if you know science prior to you will do fine. You will not learn what you need from him.

The professor didn’t know much about the subject. He has no credentials on the subject so it was not taught well. Hopefully changes will be made so future students can gain some knowledge on the subject. He is a fisherman trying to teach a management course.

I was really excited to learn more about fish management and was seriously let down. If you want to hear about fishing at Henry's lake then this is a great class. However, if you are hoping this will contribute to your career in fisheries, then it is an absolute waste of time. Lecture consisted of reading the book out loud and telling stories.

You will not learn anything here. If you like to hear stories about hunting, farting, and how much estrogen is in his family, you will enjoy yourself. However, if you want to learn about science, avoid this class.

This class was a huge struggle.If you are good at science and have some background knowledge on it besides high school courses,you will be fine.He does get off track in class and the tests are hardly based off of the reading and class work.If you decide to take this class,my advice is ask the teacher about what you will be tested on,and study tests

Travis Wall is a guy who definitely knows his stuff, but somewhere between his brain and his mouth his words get all jumbled up and he's very hard to understand if you don't already know something about what he's talking about. He likes to play the "guess what the teacher's thinking game," and he frequently gets off topic in class.

Taks about hunting instead of science, doesn't answer questions, and I don't believe he should be teaching this class. If he teaches archery or hunting, take it, but not science, especially if you don't like it much. He robbed me of my love of science for a semester.

This class was AWFUL! Brother Wall talked more about his family than he did about science. The reading, classwork, and tests have no correlation. You will have no idea what to expect to be on the tests. I would not recommend taking this class!!

He was HORRIBLE. He legitimately wrote the worst tests I have ever taken. He also doesn't provide any criteria/rubrics for projects or papers so you have to do. The lectures are terrible, even if you do show up to class he spends most of the time on google earth pointing at his house and talkin about his dogs. Try to get a different professor.

If your not good at the guess what I'm thinking game then this class will drive you nuts. He's rude and doesn't care if you like him or not.

Least favorite teacher so far. He's a really good person but as a teacher he's the worst. He would go off on the longest tangents that weren't even relevant to the topic that he was attempting to teach. Honestly anyone could have taught better than he did. When you ask questions don't expect him to help he'll just say figure it out yourself.

Decent and good guy, but could be cold if he didn't care to talk to you(or me for that matter). As stated by other students, he isn't a very focused teacher; and when he does teach, its pretty empty and blah for the most part. The tests were worthless and the study resources (or lack of them) which he gave you were just as bad. Do not recommended.

Lots of tests and quizzes. Talks about his family too often when it has nothing to do with the lesson. Can be rude and no he's not being sarcastic and won't apologize. Hard to follow his lectures. The tests and quizzes will bring down your grade. I wouldn't take his class again.

And some of these different ideas to look at it. This is the phrase that he uses to end almost every sentence that comes out of his mouth, even when it makes no sense. Also doesn't really teach you anything in class, just discusses the huge reading assignments. Tangents are a regular thing. Feels more like a fact memorization course.

A really good person, but such an ineffective teacher. His classes are comprised of either documentaries (those are usually good) or reviewing the homework. That's it. 80% of his teaching is going off on tangents. If you do the work and show up, you get an A. But 6th grade science was harder than this, so if you want to learn, go somewhere else.

Won't accept late work even one minute after the 8 pm deadline. I had bad family circumstances and he was not understanding. Spends most of the class talking about things not pertaining to the course.

Professor Wall is a very lazy professor. He should be teaching middle school, not college. He cannot stay on topic to save his life. His tests are horribly written and he says "You just have to learn how to take my tests cause they're different." Does not respond to email. Most his classes are only offered by him, so good luck.

A disinterested professor, who would rather spend class time discussing his anecdotal perspective of the world as an Idaho native rather than teaching the valuable content of the course. If you enjoy watching movies and documentaries every class rather than participating in a real discussion, this is the professor for you! Would not take again.

Brother Wall doesn't know what he is supposed to be teaching. He doesn't have any kind of accessible rubrics, no tangible criteria for any of the work you're expected to do. He gets upset when you don't meet his imaginary requirements. Everything is due in person on paper. He doesn't answer emails.

This teacher is awful. He swears in class, and talks about the female reproduction system instead of teaching us how to be stewards of the environment. I dropped the class two days in.

This teachers teaching abilities are low. He won't talk about what needs to be talked about in class. I had to look up a whole lot and go to tutoring for this class to learn the basics. He will talk about everything hunting and his wife. But not much about what needs to be said. Do not take his class.

Genuinely the worst professor I have ever had. Never answered a single question, or a single email. Went way too in depth about reproduction, specifically between him and his wife. I wanted to switch my major after this class because of how much he made me hate it. I have never met someone so incompetent of teaching in my life. Do not take from him

Goes on lots of personal tangents, his curriculum is mostly documentary watching, doesn't set clear expectations if at all, and doesn't respond to emails. Brother Wall really deserves to be a middle school teacher; it is clear from his 'lectures' that he doesn't care about his job or his students. But if you just want an easy A, he's your guy.

If you want to hear really cool stories about hunting and fishing then this is the class for you. If you want to learn ANYTHING about biology take it from anyone else. Bro. Wall is disrespectful and rude to his students. He is unwilling to work with you if you have issues with grading. Frequently, he admitted to not knowing what he was teaching.

Brother Wall is a fun guy to listen to, but he doesn't teach anything in class. He tells the same stories over and over, and tells you what you need to know without teaching it. I'd frequently fail the proctored quizzes because there were questions asking about topics that were not covered in class. Take the class with somebody else.

Probably one of the worst classes I've ever taken. He never taught what was on the exams and we scrolled around google maps for the majority of classes. He told personal stories that a professor should NOT be telling students like intimacy between he and his wife. The power point slides that we do go over are copy-paste from the text book. Avoid

He swore in class while telling one of his many, many personal stories. It's pretty easy to get a good grade if you're willing to memorize slides a lot and sit through his "lectures." He's got really specific requirements for the most random things. He's just kind of weird and unhelpful overall. Did not care for him. Avoid if possible.

He doesn't teach, we consistently spent almost the whole class time with him telling unrelated and inappropriate stories. On the off chance we actually did cover material he can't answer any questions, and would frequently make up answers of tell you the wrong answer. He was also extremely unhelpful if you ever meet with him.
