Great professor that goes through all if not most of the Adobe software. I'd say an easy and fun class if you like video editing, making logos, playing with audio etc. NO textbook which is great, and there's videos for every assignment if you would like to get ahead of everyone else in class.

I personally loved that we were able to work on all of the assignments IN CLASS. It really made the class run smoothly as we were able to ask Trent questions as we were working on our assignments. It really took the stress out of doing the assignments just for a grade. I was happy to learn new things and have fun with it.

Trent is by far the most chill person I know. Very easy going with his assignments. What's great is that we can do all of the assignments in class meaning you don't have to pay for the adobe programs if you don't want to because they're available to you. Very fun class. Pulls us out of the computer to relax every now and then. Go to classno final.

Trent does a great job of balancing on your own work and lecture. He recognizes that, as a digital media course, there's not a lot of lecture to do, so he keeps it short. He also does a great job of linking to tutorial videos, so if you're lagging behind you don't feel like you won't be able to catch up.

Trent was a great professor. Class was fun and interesting, all of the things you learn are applicable to the 'real world'. I enjoyed the projects that he chose for us to do, they were practical and allowed for a lot of creativity. Not a hard grader, you can miss class but it's better if you go.

The work for this class can almost all be completed in class (except for maybe some of the filming or how much time you personally want to spend "perfecting your piece"). This is the most fun I've had in class my entire college experience! Trent is a great teacher, and really down to earth. He's flexible and works with the students to create the content they want to. Focus is heavily placed on creativity while also teaching some great skills. 10/10 would ABSOLUTELY take again.

Professor Howard's class has been one of my favorite classes I have taken at UVU so far. He made me more exited to use Digital Media than I normally do and I got to learn some very useful tools that will help me in my future student and professional career. Super chill and let you have space to make whatever you wanted. Taught so everyone could learn and keep up on what was going on. Helped me whenever I needed help, even if it was 10 times in 1 class period. Fun projects to work on that are relatively easy. If you only miss one class period out of the whole semester you don't have to take the final!

Super fun class. Trent's a great guy who asks you to call him by his first name; he's really chill. If you come to class and work while you're there, you will pass for sure. If you come every day (even just for the last 5 minutes of the 2 hour class), you don't have to take the final. Great way to learn the Adobe Suite and enjoy the process.

I absolutely loved this class. I have never used any of the Adobe products before I started this class, & I have learned so much. Trent is a great professor, and gives good feedback. Prof. Howard treats you like an adult! I prefer to stay full class time to work on all the projects he gives, but as soon as he takes roll, you can leave and he doesnt ever ask why. All he cares about is if you do your work and turn the assignment in on time. If you dont, he lets you know it was on you! But his lectures are VERY GOOD.

Trent's the man and if you show up to class, you'll do well. I feel like the course content is easily accessible online, so if you don't show up, you could still pass you just have to put in the work and you'll have to take a final exam. If you don't miss more than one class period, no exam! Pretty sweet set up.

It's pretty easy to learn Adobe products online these days but I prefer to have someone real to talk to and Trent is the perfect guy! He's fantastic at letting you be your own boss. Digital Media 1110 is a great class for beginning digital media students. Trent was awesome. Very helpful with any questions I had and always good about getting things graded on time. I felt like he genuinely wanted me, and every other student in the class, to learn and be successful. Overall, he's just a real nice guy. 5 stars.

I took a Graphic Design course at another university, and Trent is 1000x better. I loved the class! There's a lot of projects, but if you're in class, you'll get them all done and have no homework. He's patient, super funny, and so willing to work with you. You only get one chance to miss though or else you'll have to take the final, so show up.

Trent is a total homie. Not only is he a laid back and great teacher, but he works at a digital marketing firm in Lehi and is always letting students know of internship and job opportunities. The class is a really basic intro to the Adobe Creative Cloud, but you'll leave with some really great skills. Perfect attendanceno final required.

He gave us the opportunity to go above and beyond if we wanted to. As long as you do the work and follow the rubric then you will get a good grade.

If you get 100% attendance you don't have to take the final, it's awesome! Tests are not hard though! If you have an extra spot for an elective, I would recommend taking this class. You can work independently or follow along with him as he shows the class. There are two group projects, but they are fun. Trent rocks and I loved his class.

This teacher is actually one of the chillest teachers I have ever had, if you have 100 percent attendance you don't need to take the final which is amazing. I really enjoyed taking this course from Trent. If you do the assignments you will pass, if you don't then you will not. It's pretty straight forward and the work is pretty easy. Very little homework and class time is utilized just about every time.

I've dabbled in some of Adobe programs before. You can test out if you need to but Trent is a great professor and is available. If you come to every class you don't have to take the final. Trent is great. First of all, if you're like me and get perfect attendance, you don't have to take the final (hallelujah because it's at 7 in the morning). If you miss one class you can turn something in to still get away with that too. He goes step by step through the programs and answers everyone's questions for how to do stuff. He's great.

Trent is an amazing professor. He taught me some things that wasn't necessarily part of an assignment (scale, position, rotation, as well as animating frames) to give some of my videos i little more pizzazz. Anyways, I would highly recommend this professor. Just show up to all the classes and you won't have to take the final.

I have taken many other digital media classes in High School and college and I learned the most in his class. I had been working in the same programs in other classes for months and still had no idea what I was doing with the new ones. Trent covered the same program and I learned more in one day of his class than in months of the other.

The class is easy as long as you go and do the work. He gives you plenty of time in class, and has projects that allow you to choose what you want to do. It's a fun class that gives you an opportunity to learn a lot of the adobe products.

The professor was very nice and made his expectations of the class very clear. The course wasn't too hard as long as you kept up with the in class assignments. I had to spend a lot of time outside of class to complete a lot of the assignments but I didn't mind because I thought the course material was very enjoyable to do.

Where do I start? TRENT IS A HOMIE!!!! He honestly is so chill. You do need to come to class but he makes it way fun and interesting unlike your Accounting professor who will make you want to jump in front of a train. He always is swagged out with some joggers and maybe a fresh hoodie. But don't worry you wont feel insecure because of his swag.

Overall, I really enjoyed this class. This is a basic intro to a lot of adobe products so it is a pretty easy class, but I still learned quite a bit. There was few small projects a week with bigger ones every few weeks. Get things done in class and you rarely will have homework. If you need to take this class, take it from Trent.

DGM 1110 is the annoying gateway class for all Digital Media students. You have to take it. You probably already know a lot of it. It's really not a very good time; that being said, if you have to suffer through this requirement, Trent Howard is a great teacher for it. He's chill, he'll answer questions, and he's not tough.

For only being part time, he puts a lot of effort and time in to help and answer your questions.

Professor Howard is easily one of the best professors I've had. He is a super chill guy, but is passionate about the subject and does an incredible job teaching it. He is super patient and understands not everyone is gonna be incredible at it, so he only expects that you try. I HIGHLY recommend this class and him as a teacher, he is super solid.

This teacher was an excellent teacher to have. He's a very calm professor to have and he's super patient. Whenever I had a question he would always try his best to answer it. Trent is the comic relief you need from all your other classes. If you show up to class you will pass and have all your questions answered. Very knowledgable and approachable. This class was online. I was nervous to take this class because I am technologically challenged, but Professor Howard made it simple. He went through the assignments online and was willing to stop and help when we were stuck. He also recorded classes so we could watch them later as well as providing tutorial videos for each project. Great class!

I loved taking Professor Howard's DGM 1110 class. He was very clear on his expectations for each assignment and he gives great feedback! One thing I really admire about Trent is that he did't make this class a blowoff class unlike other digital media classes I've taken at UVU. Not only does he set up the course as an easy grade, he also makes it in a way that it's fun, stress free, and still allows you to learn and explore for yourself. He's a great guy, made me laugh quite a few times at 8:00am, and because of how laid-back he is you don't feel any pressure to worry about your grade. Great environment!
