A lot of writing (of course, it comes with the class) and grammar exercises, yet she has a huge "Mom" personality - sweet, super patient, extremely helpful, and lenient. She also cares about her students' progress. I like how she speaks too, haha. You'd love her!

Ms. Foster is a good professor. At first everything was super challenging since she is hard at grading essays, but you learn a lot from her feedback. There is a lot of Angel work. I would of taken her for ENC1102, but unfortunately she isn't going to give it next semester.

The best professor ever! There are a lot of people that say she doesn't give good grades, but believe me, she is super fair. She gives the grade that you really deserve. Her feedback helps a lot for those English is not their first language. I learned a lot in her class!

If i can explain how amazing Professor Foster is, 350 characters is NOT enough. I wasn't strong with essays; however, at the end of the course, i am more confident than ever! Please take this course with her. She is the best professor. Attendance is mandatory but she makes class so INTERESTING and enjoyable. Whoever doesn't agree are just lazy.

She is a great teacher and I love the way it is taught. She cares about the students. I love her classes because she focuses on teaching and she wants the students to learn; she does not focus on preparing them to pass an exam like the majority of the instructors .

Amazing professor. She helped me out in the beginning switching from MDC's past log in to Blackboard and since then it has been a breeze. great teacher giving lectures, and the homework is easy if you can write a great essay. Overall you should take this course!

Homework is online and a big part of this class. Professor Foster is clear, straight forward and sweet. I am looking forward to ENC 1102 with her!

I loved her. She's super sweet, kind and you'll actually love going to her class. She makes class interesting and cares for students. I took the blended course so most of the things were online. Two essays one creative and the other was a research paper i believe. I highly recommend her!!!

I took Ms. Foster for both english classes. She is a great teacher. Her class is mostly online with all the assignments which are beyond easy because the quizzes are literally word by word in the book, the essays you do have to work for and she gives a bunch of opportunity if you messed up. Easy A if you put work into your essay and online.

She's an awsome person, if you want a caring teacher that understands you, she's it.

pretty good professor, she taught well and was pretty cool. lots of reading and lots of journals but essays were easy enough and there were only 3, well 2 and one big journal basically. Would recommend her for ENC 1101

Great teacher. Gives no mercy and gives you feedback for what it is. If you want a professor who will give you honest feedback and make you work for the A, then you will lover her. But if you want an easy A, then this professor is not for you.

yes it does take a lot of writing/ homework but this is a composition class! she is helpful, fair and encourages you to do better.

Tricia Foster is a great teacher. Her lectures are nice to listen too and she gives great feedback. However, do get ready to write at least eight essays for her. The essays are not easy, but Foster makes it easy to learn how to write. She always showed up too class and cares for every one of us. Only stress thing is the portfolio which was useless.

If you know how to search through databases and know how to write in either APA or MLA, you're set in the class. She always gives feedback to improve on with your essays. Also, she makes you do a portfolio which is about 20 percent in the class. It is extremely easy even though it sounds hard. Amazing professor, very approachable, and very kind.

LOVE HER! She does give a lot of homework but it's literally to make your essays better. Only three essays for the semester and she helps you throughout all of them. Always free to answer questions. BIGGEST sweetheart and truly cares for her students grades

Only class that no text book was required. Gives alot of homework, but it's all easy homework of writing 1 paragraph, her quizzes are easy and short like less than 5 questions, midterm and final were both short essays not tests. she isn't a tough grader though. i learned alot about writing through doing her homework.

Professor Foster really cares about her students, she gives a lot of homework but it's easy stuff and she's VERY fair about it. She's very understanding, I had her for ENC1101 and got her again for ENC1102. She also tries to make her classes very fun and interesting!

Professor Foster was my FAVORITE! I would definitely take her again for ENC1102. She has an awesome sense of humor and explains the assignments really well. The assignments were easily broken down into little mini 1 paragraph assignments and then you put them all together at the end for the final draft of your essay. She is great at her job!

I took this class online and professor Tricia gives a lot easy homework. If you do your work you will pass.

The teacher is very nice. She is available and gives great feedback. You will have a lot to do every week but it is manageable. I work full time & I was able to do it. Don't wait until the last minute to get it all done. You have a group project. I took this class online. She will help you a lot. Take her if you can.

Professor Foster is amazing. She’s very clear on her criteria of the class. All you have to do is show up to class and do the homework. She’s super easy, if you fail it’s honestly because your lazy. I recommend her for ENC and would definitely take her again.

I took the MDC Live course. Attendance and participation do count, but it is a virtual class where we met in the virtual classroom. There were discussions and activities during every class, so time went by fast. Whenever I had questions I could reach her through the Remind app and she responded almost immediately.

I'm taking the MDC Live course right now. It is the best group experience I have ever had. We get time to work on our project in class. We either do graphic organizers to plan for writing or we write individual paragraphs using Google docs. She gives feedback on each section before we have to put it in an essay. Easy to divide work.

I took the MDC Online course. The work is easy but there is a lot when you take the 8-week course (don't do it!). I had an emergency and prof Foster really worked with me. DON'T try to plagiarize. A lot of students copied an online website and she sent a message with a copy of their source and a strong warning.

So much fun! We looked for hidden treasure, wrote a short story, and watched Carnival Row. There is about 2 journals/discussion boards a week. I thought they were easy but you do have to read and refer to the text in your post.

Professor Foster is the best. I had for ENC1101 in person. It can be a lot of work however it is manageable and she makes herself available if assistance is needed. I had her for ENC1102 for a 6-week course, lots of group work. Attendance is mandatory, but overall both courses were easy.

Amazing teacher. I had her for one week during the summer of 2022. A lot of homework since you're doing the course in one week. Class is very chill. Let's you leave early to go do your work. Very understanding! Helps you if you need any clarifications with the assignments. Brings a lot of energy into the room. I recommend you take her class.

3-4 very easy discussion posts and a quiz weekly. Total of 3 essays (she makes the discussion posts about them so it isn't hard) and the final research paper which you are basically writing way before. Honestly, the class was very easy. I took her for MDC online 16 week. I had no complaints, she provides clear feedback on all work given.

This class is super easy and not hard at all. Discussion posts are easy to write and interesting, sometimes even based off our essays. She's understanding and provides feedback on everything you submit including the discussion posts. I highly recommend her to everyone. I took her for MDC online.

She was amazing and made the class super simple. She was always available for questions and was understanding.

I liked her well enough. Gave reasonable grades and always let you know what you could have done better. She was easy to reach and as long as you put the work in she was forgiving. She lets things slide early on and grades more strictly as the term progresses. Class is almost entirely made of discussions but the other things count for more.

CRW2001 Prof. Foster is an astonishing figure. I've learned a lot from this course. Assignments aren't graded but are later combined as a bundle for an overall grade. This made me focus on improving my writing rather than on the grade. You'll receive feedback which will help you improve. More courses should be like this. Take her! Mad respect!

I took this class as an online course. The only con is that there is a lot of assignments and essays which is part of the curriculum so it's not her fault overall she's awesome.

If you are still in procrastination mode, DO NOT take her. You can only enjoy her class if you are ready to do everything you need to succeed. Professor Foster is awesome, caring, and very accessible outside class. Something about her is also very inspiring. You can tell she loves and RESPECTS her work. So, do so as well, and take her class!

If you are looking for an easy A, she is not for you. Because her class is based on personal projects, group projects, mini essays and so on. She always gives feedbacks, encourages her students to learn. Even though there were a lot of assignments, if you try your best, you'll get an A for sure.

I would really recommend this teacher this class is very simply and easy as long as your paying attention and doing your work you will succeed. I would definitely suggest taking her class. She is very caring and provides positive feedback and does her best to make sure you understand.

Professor Foster was amazing. If you put in the effort, she will grade you well. She was very on top of regular announcements in Canvas to make sure everyone knows what is expected. Her feedback was thorough and detailed, it's clear that she really read your work and thought about it. She graded fairly and responded to emails quickly and in detail.

Professor Foster was extremely understanding and kind, don't pay any mind to a lot of the reviews because to be honest , they only reason i feel like you can fail this class is completely up to you and not the instructor, she gives really helpful feedback and the entire course is really to better you as a writer. Don't be scared to ask for help!

If you want an easy A without participating in her class she's not for you. Her class is mostly about participating and doing different projects like a podcast, and a video about a certain topic that you wanna do. you'll have to present at the end. jI did take her in the summer online. We don't have any test, but it's mostly project heavy.

She is a very caring and entertaining professor who genuinely wants her students to succeed. She explains concepts clearly, gives helpful feedback on writing, and makes class discussions engaging instead of dull. If you put in the effort, she will absolutely support you and help you improve as a writer.
