Troy is a good teacher. He worked with me in office hours to help me with my papers. He gives hard assignments but writes comments and answres questions to help you understand. He even uses field trips to show us how English applies to real life.

Just finished Eng1 with A. Class was easy after Troy's. You work hard in troys class but he knows how to teach for Eng1. Troy's very cool, teaches analysis well, is demanding, not an easy grader but helps out a lot and respects stdents.

Hes awesome, the class is pretty simple as long as you show up and hes a cool guy. If your interested in literature take this class, its graded on participation and effort more then tests.

He is the best. If you have a sense of humor this is the class for you. Not really strict, answers any questions, and doesnt assign a lot of work. Easy readings. He is seriously the best, and I hate english. Very open minded.

Fabulous teacher. He gave real life experiences in order to get the different parts of a paper. He has been the only teacher that made the class rewrite paper until we got it. He grades on IMPROVEMENT and does not penalize for being late to class. I RECOMMEND this teacher!!

AMAZING! Unique hard readings. he explains them giving us examples we can relate to. After his class eng1 is pretty easy. an eng1 research paper isnt even hard after you learn analysis in Troys clss. hes proof you can be hot, trendy, brilliant and not alienate students. The class was easy and he makes the work simple since he describes to you exactly what he wants and what should be in the paper. He does curse it class and will talk about other things other than english too. One thing I didn't like was everytime we broke into groups he eaves drops on your conversations.

very good teacher. doesn't stick to boring books and essays. essays consisted of diets and the media and art. he teaches in a way that you will remember. your final grade is basically the grade you get on your final paper. as long as you show improvement throughout the semester, you will probably get an A. got an A. Overall a good teacher. Keeps the assignments interesting with cool topics, not a lot of book work, lets you redo papers if you didn't do that well the first time and you basically get an A on the redo paper. Very easy to understand, and very helpful.

Troy is a really good teacher. If you are late to class, you can text it to another students and it counts as a valid excuse. He uses very little from the book and is very understandable. He makes English a whole lot of fun and I highly recommend him regardless of what anyone else says! Trust me -- I got an A.

I am pleased to say that Cardenas is an amazing teacher. I am a first year student, and was surprised to find a teacher who took the time to help each student understand the material. Troy is a good teacher all tho I think he has weird teaching method when it comes down to papers, but by all means this class is very easy just do all the work, theres barely any but if you don't do the work the zeros really hurt in his class. This was my first literature class in 7 years, and i loved it!

Professor T's class was one of my favorites! He's really nice and really cares about his students! He does grade essays hard but his grading system makes it so you get an easy A or B in the class. He's a great choice for finishing your English 2 credit. He's give great feedback on your essay, which you will have do a lot of writing. However When i took this class in spring 2021, the class was flexible and we have to use pronto, an app that is easy when you get the hang of it, and do can text the professor for comments and questions.

Mr, T's grading let me learn without stress. We start with an A and get to keep it. His anonymous polls and surveys made me feel seen. I had agency & a lotta other people said the same.
