Was my first philosophy class I ever took (before Covid) as an exchange student. He is tough and doesn't sugarcoat anything but I enjoyed that and learned a lot from this course. I got A's for my papers but he still pointed out all weak arguments in detail so I can see why some think he's negative. Try not to take it personal is my advice.

Troy is a very humourous and kind professor. Talking about epistemology may be difficult for some professors, but Troy teaches it with ease. If you need help with anything, definitely go to his office hours! Or at least email him. Make sure to carve time out for reading.

This philosophy pariah keenly demonstrates historic consistency studying the Liberal Arts. Although an "A" may be unable for many, he provides relevant literature that vindicates keeping great lecture notes in an important discipline.

If you are not a Philosophy major, do not take this professor!! He's a super tough grader, has audio lectures with no visuals, a lot of reading. I personally was doing fine in the class until he completely changed my grade to a failing on a written assignment he said I did well on after reading my last one which caused me to fail. Very tough class!

Probably one of the hardest class i took from him was the health ethics and he doesn't provide any help when asked. I also don't like the way he grades my work. It says i had a passing grade but then we added a final grade which doesn't make sense because that means the final exam shouldn't even matter. I don't recommend taking him.

Professor Jollimore is a Philosopher, and his passion for the subject is apparent. Tough grader, the quizzes were challenging to follow but graded on a curve. He was very supportive and gave lots of good feedback. Overall, it is philosophy; do the work as a philosophy student. Argument, premise, and conclusion will save you in the assignments.

I really wish I could have left a -47 out of 10 for this teacher but the lowest I could go was a 1. Terrible structure to this class. Super late grader and gives probably the worst feedback I've ever received in any class. He basically called me an idiot in the submission comments, then mentioned the good parts of my work and still gave me a 0/20.

Please do yourself a favor and never take this class or any class taught by Troy Jollimore. The worst feedback. I'm not at all the type to get upset by feedback on an assignment but the way this guy leaves feedback makes you feel incredibly dumb and lost on how to improve on the next assignment. SAVE YOURSELF

Dude thinks he is a podcaster or something. His AUDIO lectures barely make sense even when reading the book and chapters he has assigned. It has been very frustrating reading and listening to the information being received and trying to decipher what he is saying. I had to pause the lecture I am currently on because he doesn't get to the point!

So far it is only the 3rd day of the summer course and there have been several readings already. There is so much reading that you have to keep up with. EVERY announcement and assignment description is incredibly lengthy. I am already regretting taking this course and it just started. Will update once the course is over.

Troy knows he'll never be an actual poet or philosopher, and he takes it on students, many of whom are far smarter than him. The tier of people who fall for it are the same tier as believe Matt Walsh's act.

The syllabus claims that his preferred way of contact is email, but he doesn't reply to emails. He is condescending & uses his perceived greatness as an instructor to make people feel small. I think it is time Professor Jollimore got off his high horse & treated people with respect. If you can avoid it do not take a class with Professor Jollimore!

Currently in his course. He does NOT answer emails about extra help so you're pretty much on your own. His quizzes are 20 minutes max with 20 questions each week. His grading is tough and he has podcast like lecture that are so difficult to understand and take notes on; so they are pretty much useless.

Avoid this professor. Assigns a ridiculous amount of readings, your grade is only made up of essays and quizzes which he holds to very high standards, and he does not offer constructive feedback or reply to emails. You will feel stuck, lost and alone in this course. Literally, take anyone else.
