Excellent teacher who loves her field and loves to talk and answer questions. Makes the class interesting. She's nice and friendly and always willing to help her students. In regards to the previous rating, she's actually very liberal and very Anti-Bush. (At least in our class...)

A great teacher to have in your freshman year. Very in touch with her students and very helpful. Works well with students of all types and has a generally cheeful demeanor in class. She is also a dyed in the wool democrat though she is not one to harass republicans. Easy class overall.

Yup yup...it is true, she showed up 45 mins late for the final. All and all though, she is pretty easy just as long as you attend class you should do just fine. Only bad thing is she ALWAYS talks about politics and she thinks for the left side! better agree with her to boost up your grade.

She made the night class which was almost 3 hours long very interesting. She was fun and entertaining. She cared about the students and the trivial questions were fun. As long as you memorize the slides, you will be fine. She tells you what is important or not in lecture.

She's very straigtforward... I enjoyed something I didn't anticipate enjoying, she makes the class interesting and fun. Just take good notes on everything she says, know how to write well and properly, and review your notes and you'll ace the tests... nothing tricky here! highly recommended!

Dr. Abram is a smart and wonderful teacher. My advice in taking the class is listening and taking notes on all she says when she describes the art on the slides and from there you will be able to do well on the tests. Class includes 3 exams including the final, trivial pursuit exam, 2 essays, participation and attendance!

Dr. Abram is a class act! She is my favorite teacher ever! I would take rock-watching if she taught it. She knows her subject & she makes it fun and interesting. Take good notes and be polite. She is a very nice person and very funny. And try to be creative with the assignments she enjoys the funny ones very much. Take her class you won't be sorry.

well, in the beginning she seem really mean, but damn she was not she is a great teacher. u get three midterms and if u study for sure u will get an A or a B, and she is a easy grader in the essays, which r too, and then are other final is take home

she's open to anything and very very liberal! her tests are easy but the essays are a bit of a challenge..if you're creative you'll get A's on the essays...so no problems there..as long as u take notes and memorize the slides, getting an A will be a breeze..(no need to read the text..just listen in class and show up!)

wow this teacher is great! she keeps you interested the whole time, wanting to actually learn more. one of the best teachers ive had. if you attend class and participate, this class is an easy A.

Was in her Art History 102 class! SO MUCH FUN!! Always was energetic and kept the discussions fun and interesting! You really gotta study for her exams though, those are not as easy as you think they might be! You have to also write 2 essays in her class. Fair grader, and always helpful!! She is great. I learned so much during this class and I wasn't that interested about art before the class started but now I'm really, really interested in it. She is very clear about what she wants! The attendance is important since part of the grade is based on attendance and another part on participation + you learn alot = less study at home! :D

She's clear, her assignments are imaginative and you can often get into very interesting, topical discussions that relate art history to the present (which are a highlight of her classes.)

Miss Abram is a fantastic subject who forces you to critically analyze each topic she discusses...if you are looking for a class to skate by in with an easy A this is not the one. if you are not interested in history or art and discussing it at great lengths just don't bother. the off topic discussions are wonderful and help enrich the class.

Dr. Abram is amazing. If you are looking for a challenging teacher who is interesting and engaging, by all means, take her class. She does not suffer fools well, so if you aren't there to learn, don't bother.

Very good teacher. Extremely nice and helpful. Basically the art class is memorizing up to 35 images and when its time for the test she will give you about 7 of them. You need to know the date it was painted, the artist, the time period, and the name of the painting. If your good at memorizing then you will get an a.

Dr. Abram is the greatest professor EVER!!! she is amazing, very intelligent, admirable and well humored! her lectures are the greatest! Took her for 102 and 101 and i still want to take more of her classes. At first i thought 102 would be the enough but she is soooo good at she does, she motivated me!

I took this class online during summer 07. All you do is read her lectures and then survey the art work. At times is can be hard to give her what she wants to hear but overall it wasn't too bad. Don't let the work pile up for the end or else you end up reading a lotttt.

She is a great professor, knows what she's talking about. Studying is vital, if you're a visual learner who likes art, you'll do fine.

i loved this class. abram is very enthusiastic and excellent at teaching this subject. i learned SO much about art history. shes a very fair teacher. in the afternoon it can be hard to sit for an hour in the dark because you can get sleepy but her tests are very easy IF you study/elaborate. take her!!

Dr. Abram is without a doubt one of the greatest teachers at GCC. She is very passionate about art and very knowledgeable. She comes to class organized and prepared to teach. She is VERY helpful and understanding. BUT...this is not a kick back class. You HAVE to do a lot of studying if u want a good grade. There is a lot of memorizing involved.

I took her online class, she scares you on the first day of class but she really is not that hard, you really have to understand the material of art and go in dept of the paintings, you need to read and keep up with the material, she takes points off 4 stupid grammatic errors but at the end she gave me an A. I rec. online instead on campus class!!!

Awesome teacher!! the art was just beautiful and interesting. easy!! its all about recognition and memorization. there were some boring parts but for the most part she had us laughing. great personality. i got a c without trying. the only downside is the book. expensive!! if you can afford it i highly recommend her for any class even humanities 120

Dr. Abram is an amazing prof. She truly challenges you to think about the art. Yes, there is a lot of memorization, but you can sound smart at parties because of it! The only annoying thing is she has you memorize around 45 slides but will test you on about 12 (u don't know which ones). All tests are essay format--if you can write well--you're in!

Take this class online! Although there are lots of reading, it's mostly short answer essays on your interpretations of the paintings with no memorization required! I learned a lot, perhaps even more than the students who complained about the class lectures.

Abrams is a wonderful Teacher, although she is the director of the theater dept now. She was great and informative, and a wonder to converse with. Find her, talk to her, and enjoy her wonderful smile. Very easy to talk to.

She definitely is a great teacher and you will learn how to critically think in this class. The assignments are not that easy if you put time to it and do the readings. I believe she is a fair grader and sometimes she lets you resubmit an assignment in order to improve your grade. Overall, I definitely recommend you take her course.

Amazing teacher! She clearly knows her material, and is very effective teaching her students. I took her online class during the Winter session and got an A. She responds to questions/comments very quickly, and absolutely cares for her students. Highly recommended, especially if you're a good writer. You will appreciate Art after her class.

Her Art history class is stricly by memorization. There are 3 test, the best way to pass her class is to make flashcards and memorize every information she has taught you. If you do this, you will do fine. Some students didnt buy the book and they survived. Other than that she is very nice and funny.

She was great. I loved her so much. She not only is a perfect professor, but she is a funny and a great human. She is very fashionable and hot (I am a straight woman!!) I am gonna miss her a lot because I am not gonna see her again. She taught her last semester at GCC in fall 2012. I enjoyed every second in her class and learned a lot.
