Excellent professor. I've always been put off by math but his teaching method is really good, very active and engaging. Really enjoyed coming to class. The professor is very clear and helpful, and is willing to go over anything you didn't understand. If you take notes, do HW, study, and ask questions; you'll do well in the class.

He is viet and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to understand him but when he talks numbers he is VERY clear. he says attendance doesn't matter but it makes or breaks your grade. go to class, ask questions & let your confusion show on your face if he's lost you. Mr. Nguyen is an amazing Stats professor, who is very helpful and goes over everything as precision. You learn a lot as long as you show up to class, take notes, and study for the tests. Great personality as well. Tests are not bad as long as you are consistent in the class. He's extremely nice, and humorous. I highly recommend you take his class.

I always thought I was bad at math, until I took this class. Mr. T makes it really easy to understand. He shows you something hard then makes it easy. He's very easy to relate to. available outside class to help in math lab. Does group quizzes. On midterms, if you finish early he will check your work & if you miss anything he gives it back to fix.

This is the second class I've taken with Mr. T. The first one was Math 118 & this one was stats over the summer. He is really a great teacher & will be there for you. Expect to work & to laugh. When I first took him, I felt like I was bad at math, but he changed that for me. I got an A in 118 & 120. I think I did well in this class, too.

I was intimidated about stats until I met prof Nguyen. He's really good-natured, funny, and wants all of his students to succeed. He's great about letting you use TI-83 instead of being a stickler for time-consuming handwritten explorations of scary stats equations. Gives group quizzes which I thought was weird at first but now I actually like!

Ditto to what everyone else said. He's organized and really wants you to learn. Gives quite a bit of homework but it's doable. Well-balanced, well-run class. I've heard some people complain a little about his accent but it's in no way a barrier. The only math teacher I've ever had to make me feel smart and that I could easily understand.

From all of the professors I have crossed paths with, Mr. T. is one of my favorites. He gives a substantial amount of work, but it is doable if you try. He stimulates the minds of his students to really learn, instead of regurgitating the material. The course is tough yet, he is always there to help. I would most certainly recommend taking him.

Mr. T has to be the best professor I took at CCC. His clarity is phenomenal and he is really friendly. He makes sure everyone understands each topic that is discussed in class and offers some extra credit to students who are not doing 'great' on his tests. We are also allowed to use a calculator (TI 83/84) on tests and classwork.

I've always struggled in math and its my least favorite subject but Mr T really made it fun! He's super patient and will go over things again if you don't understand. He's also very funny and goofy which makes him very easy going! He kept me motivated and I got an A in the class! Would totally take his class again.

I came out of highschool and took his stats class 2 weeks after graduation. It was my first college class and I was TERRIFIED, but I LOVED IT. He will make math seem so simple! He was the best, you do have to work for it though but he will help you with anything you need.

Great teacher whose more than fair. He assigns homework though the desire2learn website, offers group quizzes and gives 4 tests through the semester. Expect to do the majority of the homework, as it counts more than the usual 10%. If you do poorly on the tests, he allows make up work. Highly recommended.

Mr.T is great! He takes his time to explain. His teaching style is different from other professors. He will have you start the new chapter with your group. Then after you have gave it a try, he will explain it. This method helps a lot because you think and try hard and introduce your brain to the new material, then he explains. That way it clicks!

Professor Nguyen or how the class would call him Mr. T, is a fantastic teacher. He is very charismatic and an interesting teacher. The way he teaches his class is good however; you really must pay a lot of attention because not really putting in the effort will hurt you. For me, it was difficult but if you study hard you will do well in the class.

The Math Jam he taught really, really prepared me for the Statistics class. I felt well prepared for stats, and when I started, I felt comfortable and knowledgeable about the work. I definitely recommend taking Math Jam before taking Statistics. Professor Trung rocks it and makes it enjoyable.

Mr. T. was an amazing instructor! I took the hybrid class, so we had to attend class 3 times during the summer session. Once each for orientation, midterm, and final. The class is completely online based, use StatCrunch to the fullest. Super easy! No graphing calc needed! As long as you stay on top of the work, you can get a great grade! He's fair.

I had Mr. T for Calculus II this past fall semester and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed math because of him! His lectures are great and he always gives you the run-down on what's going to be on the test. His exams are always around 4 pages long and they're super straight-forward and basic. I would definitely take Mr. T again!

Great teacher who is understanding of his students. However, waaaay too much homework. I've taken many math classes before and have never had this much load. Most homework consists of about 30 problems, with some problems having between 8-10 parts to it. Amazing teacher though.

I took the class online over the summer, the material was not heavy but the homework was a lot , also we covered 10 chapters in 6 weeks so that makes it intense. the power point slides were helpful and the teacher is accessible . overall I enjoyed taking the class with this professor.

Prof. Nguyen's online MATH164 course is simple. You complete weekly online interactive readings and homework through MyLab and Mastering, and complete weekly discussions and journals. The homework can sometimes be time-consuming and confusing if you're bad with technology, but overall, it's doable. There are three heavily-weighted online exams.

I took Intro to Prob & Stats with Professor T and I must say he is the BEST college professor I have ever had! My class may have just been lucky because he was extremely accommodating throughout the whole semester. Prof T is kind, funny, helpful, and understanding. He is so knowledgeable and he guarantees each student's success if they work hard!

Mr. T is a wonderful professor who wants his students to pass. His class is pretty easy, just a lot of homework and quizzes. Exams are mostly based on homework and he allows a cheat sheet.

This is a challenging and interesting course. You need to read the textbook or the PowerPoint lecture slides before the class. Do you homework ahead then ask difficult questions in class. He will help you doing them on the review day. Make sure to study those questions because he will ask them on the quiz or exam. Hard, but very reasonable!

Just finished his short term online class. It was difficult, but manageable if you apply yourself. The course was well designed with a clear weekly schedule. I'm glad that I took it online because I can learn the materials at my own pace and space. Definitely would take him again.

Professor T is a great teacher here at CCC in general. He was able to see that I had trouble with Calculus last year and recommended that I take his online Statistics class while retaking Math190. I ended up getting A's in both classes which says a lot about his wisdom and knowledge of the subjects. Overall, looking forward to his Calculus 2 class.

Great professor! To pass this class, do the homework, show up to class and read PPT before class. Also, he allows you one page of notes for the exam and the exam is based on the homework, so make sure you take good notes off the homework. If you show him that you are really trying, then he might bump you up a letter grade for the final grade.

At the beginning of the semester, he will revise the necessary previous knowledge in case you forgot, it really helps to support the lessons you will learn in class. I take MATH164 online, fast track in 8 weeks only. The workload is a bit heavy since every day has the assignment to finish; however, he provides a lot of good materials. As long as you manage to finish the homework on time, everything would be ok.

Took this class over the summer the course was 6 weeks long and covered 10 chapters in total. Professor Nguyen cares about all his students and wants them to pass his class. The workload is heavy there's usually something due everyday. However, if you finish the homework and chapter readings you should be fine. He also provides extra credit.

If you do all the MyLabStatistics assignments and the homework you should be okay. Do your best on the 3 exams. Study EVERYDAY, read the classroom notes, work every problem until you understand it.

if you take trungs math164 asynchronous + short, theres a lot of homework due almost every day except for Sundays and Mondays. but he usually ends up moving all the homework with the exam due date. the exam is just like the homework so take notes! hes very nice and caring.

I'm struggling in his class because I took my last Algebra course 10 years ago. He gives a lot of homework and quizzes. However, he is caring and accommodating. He helps me with the homework, extends the due date when we requested and gives us more time to work on group quizzes and more attempts to try it. He encourages us to do well in his class.

He answers a lot of questions and is patient but zoom hours are long. In this class, we must get mylab which is $75. Homeworks have unlimited tries. challenging material.

Initially all the assignments are due on due date, Weekly discussions and Journal entries are due every Mondays with 5 REPLYS!! Professor Nguyen's online class is incredibly organized and easy to navigate. Even though I'm not tech-savvy, I was able to complete all the assignments with the help of the online tool StatCrunch. Make sure to allocate sufficient time for the work, as there are many assignments, which is understandable given the 6-week summer schedule. Take him!

Prof Nguyen was an amazing prof. Zoom lectures two times a week. The lectures did go a bit fast so you might need to catch up after class. The group quizzes were the most challenging, but many problems were in the textbook. The HW and Exams were very similar. One of the nicest professors ive had. He wants to see you succeed.
