Ms Ngo is a very good teacher. She's making all the concepts as understandable as possible. She is the best Professor I could ever hope to have, and I feel so lucky to be in her class. It is a great class.
Dude, seriously take her class. It may be a bit hard to understand her because of the accent but... she's hella fine.... also she's pretty helpful when your stuck on a concept.
The instruction was outstanding, and I will definitely recommend your class to other students.
She has positive attitude, concern, and caring! I wish there were more instructors who take the same supportive approach towards their students as her. I would be willing to bet there would be a lot more effort applied on the students part.
Professor Ngo's passion for math shows in her teaching. She really cares about her students. I appreciated that she encouraged us older students to keep trying. I performed better than I should have, because of her enthusiasm for teaching.
It was a great class. Just finished final. Ms. Ngo is a very good teacher in evry way. Take her class!
Overall, I enjoyed everything she taught in Intermediate Algebra, it was splendid! I look forward to taking another higher math division with her in the near future . She is an outstanding instructor!
I was scared taking STAT and delayed forevever. Ms. Ngo explained her notes/lectures well. Statististics seemed easier and more interesting in life applications now because of the instructor. Take her class, fun!
She was a wonderful and caring professor, The five hour Saturday and Sunday class I had in the summer flew by like crazy. If you study and prepare you will get a good grade, allows an entire page of notes for exams. I would deffinitely recommend her.
I had Mrs. Ngo over the summer, her class is very easy because of the way she setup the point system. Homework, quizzes, and perfect attendance counts a lot so even if you dont do well in tests that'll balance your grade. Also, Mrs. Ngo gives out so many extra credits there is simply no way you're gonna fail. Take her to pass any Math.
Prof Ngo is fantastic. The time well spent in the class. She helped me learned more in math than any professor has taught me. She is very kind and understanding.
Ms Ngo is beautiful teacher who touched my life. She is so caring and understanding. Her support and encouragement helped me to pass the class.
Summer class was crazy, very fast pace. But it was great having Ms Ngo as an instructor; I learned more than I thought I could about algebra.
Class was not that hard, but i didnt study that much. She is nice too.
Class was pretty easy. She is all around a good teacher. Could get bye with just studying the textbook though.
Professor Ngo inspired students to succeed. She is nice. Study and practice homework.
Stat is not an easy subject. Ms. Ngo is a good teacher. She is kind and reasonable. But if you don't study hard enough, better drop!
Her class is very long 4-5 hrs. But it's worth o yr time and effort. Stat is NOT an easy subject. It's way different and much more difficult than some algebra. Deal with lots of readings, critical thinking, interpretation, words problem, applications in every aspect of life. Need to work way much harder if you had only intermediate algebra.
She helped me get through statistics. I feel like I understand a lot of what was taught and benefits of stat in life. Have a positive attitude and behave in Ms.Ngo's class, it's worth your effort to come once a week for 4-5 hrs. DO STUDY & PRACTICE, the subject is not easy.
Easy class, great lectures & even gives hand out of lecture. You do homework in MyMathLab, which is easy! Tests are on lecture, sometimes same problems from lectures, and remember she gives you the lecture handout! Also you will have extra credit opportunities, and handout assignments can be done in groups! If you don't understand she will help!
Very good teacher. No excuse not to do well in this class because she is so helpful and provides you with every single tool you need to succeed. Just need to practice the problems she shows you in lecture and you will do well on the exams. Show up for every class. Let's you work on assignments in groups and the online homework is very easy.
I really like Ms. Ngo. At first she came across as tough but she really does what she can to help students learn. Good class!
Stat is a difficult subject with various apps. Need to understand the problems and to interpret from business into stat and vice versa. Ms. Ngo's class was almost always full. Extra credits are great. Her lectures are well taught.
She is great!
She's a great teacher. I'm not good at math and have to take this class to transfer. But it turns out that I like the way she interpret from Stat to business or real life language and vice versa. That's cool and fun!
Took her Stat 301 a while ago. great having her as an instructor; I learned more than I thought I could about Statistics and its apps.
She is good, organized, student-oriented. I like about the way she introduce a concept that is relevant to real-life apps. She is always willing to help as long as students have a positive attitude. She sat down and helped me to understand a concept or solve problems.
I enjoyed her class and believe that she is a great professor. I got C but it was on me, didn't study and prepare well until later. Brush off your algebra skills before taking this class since there were lots of materials. It was fast pace; required reading, understanding, critical thinking , reasoning and interpretation.
She is great professor as students behave and have good attitudes. If you are not seriously studying, just drop and stay home. Don't bother come and disrupt class.
It was very nice taking a class with her, I know I messed with one of the exams, however, she is a wonderful instructor who cares for all the students and their studies. Thank God, taking a class with her was very peaceful.
Ms. Ngo gave a pleasant instruction introducing to Stat. She is fair and square. If you aim for an A or B in her class, study and have a good attitude. good luck.
Her teaching style allowed me to learn the new concepts and catch up with math after manymany years away from school. She is great teacher if you behave.
She is good and helpful in motivating students' learning. I am pretty good at math but hate stat. She made it easy and fun to learn. I did not miss any class (4hrs++), which seems like a one hour. It's a good class. Fun, too.
She has a well prepared agenda and lesson plans for each class. She has open teaching style, demanding dialog, cooperation, hard work and good attitude. Then you will enjoy her class.
Nice having her this semester. I enjoyed her class. She made things very easy and understandable. Some students need to grow up or stay home.
She is fine, sometimes kind of strict. but if you just study and prepare well, you will be fine. I'm glad to pass her class.
Overall she is good. She walks through problems thoroughly.
She is a great professor. I have struggled with math my whole life. Its been years of trying to pass this class and I think I was successful this time. I could actually understand it with her thourough instruction.
It was a great class although it was a little rough for me in the beginning. I delayed to take this class in 30 years. Study well and behave in her class. She is strict sometimes.
I really enjoyed this class. She allows you to work in groups and on some quizzes together. Don't miss any class. She gives extra credit for perfect attendance. If you do ALL of the homework and have good attendance, you should do well in the class. I bought the book and I think it helped to have it.
I liked her class. 4-5 hour class went fast. She kept us busy. She gives 1-1 help if you need it. So studey well, prepare and be active, you will be sucessful.
She is a good math teacher. If I ever need it to take another math, she is my first choice. Her group assignments and extra credit for perfect attendance are big help.
Good teacher. Hard to understand but she makes the class very simple. Extra credit for perfect attendance. Fast paced, but laid out simply. I was dreading stats and she made it an enjoyable class. I would definitely take her!
This is the best Stat class I had. Study, read her notes, do homework until you are fluent. She's kind.
She is a caring and no nonsense teacher. Offered 1-1 attention to those wanting it.
She is great. Very dedicated and reasonable. Motivated students.
She knows the subject well. Good tips to think & memorize STAT stuff. I liked her STAT instructions using tech/calculators, life apps, etc. It's pretty cool. Should have a TI 83/84 for her class. It's worth it. Of course you need to study hard for her class.
Ms. Ngo is the best stats teacher, let alone math teacher I've ever had. She uses mymathlab and no textbook so its cheaper and she requires a Ti83/84 calculator. Her quizzes are important, she gives extra credit for perfect attendance and her final was only on 3 chapters! She teaches you the calc. steps making it easy! Best stats teacher ever!
She is a great stats teacher. I worked hard in her class and collected all extra credits assignments. It paid off my effort. You need to follow her instructions in class, have a TI 83/84. She helped you make it through. You need MyMathlab. BEHAVE and be polite. She was awesome!
She might be strict sometimes, especially for the laid back, and rude. Study as her study guides or pay attention to her tips/tricks, important points to tackle stat problems. She likes to mention them on the board. They would be tested/quizzed.
She is very helpful in general. She is willing to work harder and give you individual attention if you show good attitude. Some bad students cause trouble and ruin class spirit. if you come to a class, behave and be mature guys.
She is fine and willing to help students both in class practices or individually provided that students study and have good behavior. Some troublemakers can ruin the class.
She is absolutely awesome if you're willing to work hard and carry a good attitude. I'm happy to make the right decision to take this class with her. This is a hard one.
She a very good teacher. She helps me learn, commit and succeed in math. She gave extra credits if students show good behavior. It should be a good class but we do have some troublemakers that disturbed a bit.
This was a challenging course, very fast paced and jam packed with info, hard to keep up with lectures due to so much info being introduced each night. Keep up with homework online, study and you will do fine! Prof Ngo is willing to help you individually before or after class, if needed. Offers extra credit too which is a +!
She is an excellent teacher. I struggled with math. just wished to pass. But looks like I could do better. I feel cared, supported in her class. She taught it slowly and with steps that it allowed me to understand it more easily. There were some troubler makers in this class.
She taught STAT in a very easy way to understand. I struggled with this class but it seemed that I now enjoyed the subject. There are a lot of materials. However, pay attention to her instructions during lectures. Study and do your parts.
Show your effort and good attitude and she is very helpful. She pushed students to study. She came 30' 45' before classes or stayed after to help. Come prepared and do your parts. Calculator TI 83/84 is a big plus for this class. Stat is a hard subject.
Prof. Ngo is great. Her lecture notes and handouts are awesome and easy to learn math. She is kind of strict but very nice. She likes students to come to class prepared her lessons. Be polite in her class.
She teaches Stat pretty easy to follow and understand. Calculator TI 83/84 is a MUST for her class since it's a major part. Don't save $ on this. She requires MySatLab. Obey her rules and be good in her class. She is definitely recommended.
She is the only teacher that has ever made math make sense to me . STAT is a difficult subject. She made it very interesting.
I do not recommend this teacher. She goes very quickly and expects students to go by her power point slides alone, and not take additional notes. If you have a question do not bother asking. She will either get annoyed with you or give some random reply that has no relation to what you are asking about. She does not want to teach, just tell.
I really enjoyed having her as a professor who took the time and effort to help each individual student. Sometimes it's very hard to have some students with bad attitude in class. It really slows down the whole class.
I liked her lectures materials for this class. She made you work but offered extra credits . Lots of in-class group exercises for extra credits and concepts apps. I used to finished materialsassignments in class. Come to class prepared. She loved it There were many students who qualified to enroll but not ready to take this one.
She is fine as long as you BEHAVE in her class. Come prepared is a big plus. Don't take hers if you think you're kinda lazy or looking for opportunities. No textbook required. In class group exercises for extra credits.
She is great as long as you behave and willing to work in her class. That's it.
You need to work and show respectpositive attitude. She did not tolerate bad behaviors and actually some students were dropped. She gave all class handouts, assignments, practice tests, and lots of extra credits. she came to class pretty early when you could get help
She is good. She motivates and encourage students to study. Stat can be even harder if you're not an active learner. She gives lecture handouts and work sheets to practice in class and given extra credits. Saturday 5+ hours class is hard for some, but it's worth for me.
i really enjoyed her class and i worked very hard. it was a great experience for me. besides learning math technically, i learned to think more critically
Long lectures, uses up every single minute. Isn't the best explainer, classmates have to teach classmates sometimes. Gives extra credit on quizzes always. If you miss class or leave early she will notice and could drop you. If math is easy for you, it's an easy class. If it's challenging, maybe not the best teacher for it.
Her lectures was focused. Class materials & handouts were given. No textbook needed. Do not skip her classes since she gave in class activities w extra credits, which are big help! Behave in class.
She is kind . Her class materials and instructions are very clear. But you 'd better work in her class.
She is a dedicated teacher. She is very good in teaching STAT which is a difficult subject to learn. I like her insights on the stat concepts. She requires a calculator TI 8384 models. It is really really helpful for this class. Should invest for one, old one $30 or so. Attend her lectures and complete worksheets in class with her help.
She is good. Attendance and work matter. Need a TI 83 or 84 for her stat class.
I LOVE Ms. Ngo. Little bit of a language barrier but her lectures are extremely productive and she's super helpful! You can tell she cares about her students a lot. She's there to help if you ask and is clear what she expects out of her students. Would definitely take her again! Great STAT teacher. Online homework only. No textbook needed!
She is great and usually does extra work to help students. Good lectures. Right pace and very clear.
She is very helpful if you work and study in her class. No bad attitude.
She is a really good teacher, I am bad in math from high school, I thought that nobody can teach me Math, but I learned a lot from her class although it was summer class. her explanation was very professional.
Prof. Ngo worked hard with us in the summer math 32 class and I really I learned a lot in her class. I had some situation that needed her to do extra work. She was very willing to help and follow up on my case.
If you are committed you can get a excellent grade. Shows you how to work the problem several ways. Gives you a sample of what to expect on the quiz. Lot's of extra credit available especially if you are struggling. Will work any problem before, during or after class. This professor is great! You must attend everyday something new, but exciting
The students need to study seriously and have a good attitude. She is very helpful and understanding.
I like this professor. She motivates students to come to class and participation with extra credits.
Sometimes she was nice, other times she was extremely rude and condescending to students that were just trying to understand, but she treated them like they weren't paying attention. Some students were rude though, so I understand a bit. She has a thick accent. If you struggle with math I would take someone better at explaining. HW wasn't that bad.
I enjoyed her stat class very much. Learned a lot. Students need to study and prepare for class. I saw some students did not take it seriously but always wanted to pass or higher grades (lol). I am professional so I can understand and apply the concepts into my work. I postponed to take stat for a while until this semester. We had Sat classes.
She is awesome. Students need to study seriously and practice class assignments. Behave in her class and would be rewarded. dont skip her lectures.
Her lectures are very clear, get to the points. She helps students to do work sheet or homework before or after class. Come to class to feel connected. Sometimes group work for quiz or extra credits. I like her Stat.
PROS helps with worksheets, hw is optional & counts as extra credit, allows note card on tests CONS she has a very strong accent (hard to understand), when asked to clarify a problem she would just say it's common sense, very rude at times, doesn't let class out early or allow breaks, does not give test or quizzes back so we can can see how we did
I took this class about 3 semesters ago. She's awesome. If math is easy for you the class will be easy. She goes over everything you need to know for exams. Pay attention! Stats is super fun. She will help you, ask for help and don't complain if u don't study. A is not earned by doing nothing. And immature kids need to grow up! Ngo is excellent!!
she simplifies everything and condenses the subjects to match what you need to know on the exams. Stats is a confusing topic for many so thats why most people struggle. But everything is straightforward and assignments are easy if you are strong in math. most people think its hard and that shes rude, but not at all. Shes very nice and helpful.
She is amazing. I've taken several math classes with her.
she is the best teacher I've ever had. take her class seriously. it's worth your time.
She is fantastic. Do care about students. motivates students.
I really enjoyed her class. She took the time and effort to help each individual student. Students need to work seriously, too.
She cares about students. must be positive and willing to work. I have learned a lot and have done very well in her class
She is an amazing teacher. I really enjoy her class, it was fun to be there. Her personality is by far the best I had as a student. study and stay positive in her class.
Prof Ngo is a really great teacher. I've always struggled with math but i loved her class. She is always positive and move at a fast pace. Lots of extra credit. Was great for a summer class that was in the moring. Wish she was teaching more classes I need!
She wants students work. So you're expected to study seriously in her class. It's worth your time and money though. I recommend her.
Ngo doesn't teach at all, she had the class print out all lecture materials since she goes super fast based on that. Wouldn't let us take a break and said she'll let us out early instead, but never did. Expects students to understand the material after giving only ONE example. Very rude and condescending towards students who asks questions. Awful.
She is absolutely good teacher. Have good attendance and attitude in her class.
She is an overall amazing teacher. She actually wants you to pass.
i really enjoyed her class and worked very hard. it was a great experience for me. Learned a lot in terms of business apps. She is a good choice.
I took Stats 300 with Professor Ngo. Great class. Come prepared with a great attitude. She expects a lot from her students but is very willing to help. She doesn't grade homework (only gives you a few points for extra credit), only grades tests and quizzes. I would definitely recommend her.
She is a good teacher. Seemed hard but really helpful. She wanted to make sure students study. She gave extra credits. That matters.
Best math class I've taken and I HATE math. Always straight to the point and gives a lot of extra credit. No textbook needed!
I like the way she set up the class. Materials are clear, easy to follow.
Her class is like 99% lecture with quizzes and tests. This class is so easy to pass i never took any notes. She's kinda weird with quizzes though. Like, we had an exam last class and she had a quiz for us the very next class. IMPORTANT: The final is almost COMPLETELY similar to the practice final she gives. Take her for an easy passing grade.
She's a sweetheart who cares about her students. She gives cheat sheets knowing students have test anxiety, and even brought snacks knowing students work/have school and its hard to find time to eat. She has a thick accent, but if you can work around that, she's great. Just do the online homework, show up for quizzes and tests, and you'll pass.
Ms Ngo is a great teacher. Sometimes you got into a class with bad bad students who just come to disrupt class and show no respect for anyone in class. It's tough for the teacher to mange a class with such students. She had very clear agenda, lectures and grading. Also many opportunities for extra credits in her class .
She is a teacher who cares about her students. She wants everyone to pass her class as long as you put in the effort. I highly recommend her for all math levels. I had her for math 100, and now math 120. She is fast pace but if you ask her to repeat something she will do so happily.
She is super understanding not only education material, but financially too. Quizes daily, exams over 2 chapters each. Extra credit with each exam which includes practice ws of the material so the only excuse you have of not passing is if you don't practice. May be hard to understand due to accent but def a prof I'd recommend for stats!
I'm so glad I took her class this semester, I would definitely recommend others to take her. She was an amazing teacher. She is not an easy A professor. You need to take her class seriously and it's worth.
She is kind and flexible to help reopen homework assignments before final so that students can improve their grades. She is a Great Teacher for 3 semesters I took her math classes, which have been enjoyable. Her quizzes each class individual or group with open notes helped students to practice the concepts. Some students need to behave in class.
She is a kind and friendly instructor. Her stats class is extremely easy if you show up to learn and pay attention to her instructions how to use your TIs and interpret data. Assignments are doable, helped, and usually done in class. Practice tests are very similar to real tests, and you get a page of notes for each! love her class.
She has well prepared lecture notes and assignments. Her instructions are clear and she knows how to motivate students. She is a right choice.
I liked the structure of her class. She is very organized : lecture, assignment, tests, quizzes. Fair and crystal clear grading criteria. She cared about students. Show your efforts, earn good grades.
I took 4 math classes with ms. Ngo. She is very kind and helpful. But you need to pick up the work and extra credit opportunities she offers. It's worth your effort.
I took 4 math classes with her. She is an amazing teacher: kind and caring. Students need to do their fair shares and better leave if they do not want to learn.
The class contained a lot of practical mathematics, statistics & applications which will come in handy in my future classes. She gave very well designed/organized lectures with interesting examples.
Awesome instructor! She really cares about whether you pass or fail. She has group quizzes, worksheets, take-home work, sample tests and encourages study groups. She is very clear and thorough when explaining Stat. You need to repeat, redo, practice the concepts.
fabulous class this semester, and I think she is a great teacher, because I've took the majority of my math classes and the teachers all had doctorates in Mathematics, and she got the material across much better than them.
Really enjoyed her teaching style. She is nice and helpful. Show your effort. Study and practice. She gave group work after each lecture for credits. work sheets, sample tests are very helpful and given extra credits also.
She is cool, calm, collected. Clear, well-structured lectures and assignments. Group work and extra credits motivate students to understand, practice and get involved. Like her.
This professor is cool. She encouraged and motivated us to keep up with our studies and not to give up. Her class presentation and materials are well structured, easy and simple to follow. Show up to class and do your shares.
I had to switch school to take prof. Ngo's class and it's worth my time and effort, especially for a full-time working adult. I used to hate math. but this semester I started falling in love with it and feel much more confident. She motivates and inspires us. Excellent class.
Prof. Ngo's lectures are well organized. I used to hate STAT but start liking it in her class. Her class materials are great presented with simple, practical, good/fun examples that help to remember or relate to the dry concepts. Follow her step-by step instructions and spend a fair time for her class, you should be fine.
It's so much fun to learn math in her class. from struggling with math, now I am very excited and motivated to learn math with ms. Ngo. We have a very good class. I enjoy her teaching style.
The best math class ever! Prof. Ngos lectures are very well-organized, and she gives lots of xtra credit too. Quizzes are given almost every class, so make sure to attend her class regularly. Honestly, she is quite strict, but that helps you pay attention in her class. ))
She is very nice, approachable. Her class is crowded but comfortable, realxing. Her lectures assignments are well organized. Groups exercises are great. Do your work seriously.
Ms. Ngo is so sweet. Her lectures are amazing. Also, she offers a lot of extra credits if you do your worksheets and practice tests thoroughly. Sometimes she also gives you 1-2 points on quizzes if you volunteer to solve problems on the board. Wonderful class!!!!
Awesome professor, her lectures are clear. 20 quizzes, 3 exams and a final. Group quizzes. Make sure you participate for extra credit. If you do the work sheets & practice exams, I guarantee you you will get an A. Be respectful in class and dont talk to others while she is lecturing. Highly recommended. Exams are similar to work sheets & pra test.
Stats is a tough course and I was grateful that I changed school to take Professor Ngo's class. I appreciated all of the patience and kindness that she showed while instructing us with excellence.
Prof. Ngo took care of us, very involved in wanting to see us succeed. I've sure everyone has learned a lot. I learned a lot and felt confident heading towards Math 330 this summer. I will be sure to register for her higher math. She was a great instructor. There were some disruptive students but she handled them pretty well.
Prof. Ngo is very helpful if you're willing to work. She is a great teacher and Stat is tough course. You need to prepare for class and do the work as she instructs.
Can't be better. She is one of my best professors. She is fun, kind and caring. Do your work.
She is an overall awesome teacher. Very helpful and makes math fun and understandable! I will definitely be taking her for statistics.
I took 3 math classes with Ms. Ngo . It was a good class again. I loved her teaching style. She is fun, kind and caring. Group work, work sheets, homework, lecture notes, practice tests are very helpful. can't fail if take it seriously.
I loved her class. She motivated and inspired us to work harder, move ahead and succeed. Class atmosphere was relaxing. Come to class prepared and with good attitude. Some students need to pay attention more about manners for a good learning environment.
What an awesome class with Ms. Ngo. This is my first enjoyable and understandable math class. Loved her. She was fun, casual, caring and friendly with students. However, study and do your work.
I wish she teach more higher math classes so that i can continue to learn math with her. She seems strict but actually very kind and caring about students.
I took Trig with ms Ngo a while ago. She was organized, well-prepared with lecture s and assignment materials. Learned a lot in her trig class. It was challenging to memorize so many things and fun and worth it.
I was recommended by lots of folks from my base college Folsom Lake. So I decided to drive a bit further to get into her class at ARC. I enjoyed her teaching style. I am very excited to be a part of her class this spring semester. I have experienced great things with ms. Ngo. She is highly recommended in the community.
It's worth my persistent effort to be added to her stat class although It's way too full with 45+ folks. Ms. Ngo is very cool, kind and quiet person. I like learning stat with her. Her teaching style is awesome. Very inspiring for me to pursue teaching career.
Beautiful lady with a good heart. She is great teaching math/stat. Her class is fun and relaxing. I have taken 3 math classes with ms NGO.
She is great. I will sign up with her for my next math classes. Students need to do their work. I have a great math class first time.
Ms. Ngo is very gentle and compassionate with students. She helped us a great deal in learning stat concepts, which are kind of challenging. Students need to do their work and show up to her lectures to succeed the course. It takes two to tango.
We just finished review for final today. She is an awesome, down to earth, caring teacher. She made class fun, relaxing. Never missed her lectures. I enjoyed her class.
I was afraid of math. I nearly dropped the class at the beginning but ms Ngo reached out to help me get over the hump. She is kind and caring about her students. It was a good class. Some students skipped class often and if they failed, no wonder. Math requires practice and discipline.
Kind and gentle teacher. She's rather quiet, low voice. Her lectures :right to the core concepts, in class practice with credits. Used mymathlab for hws but open till final day. Man , don't expect over night to become math genious, tons of patience and practice.
An amazing professor, straight to the point. The Lectures are long but that's Stats for you. She is worth taking.
Very well-structured and organized class. She make Stat more understandable and doable. It was a very crowded class but she managed pretty well. Highly recommended and make sure to do your work.
She was generous instructor with who gave extra credit opportunities. I like the quotes she would put on the study slides. I would definitely take her again.
Wow! I hated and was afraid of math. I took Stat before and failed. But Ms. Ngo turned around my previous experiences. She is the best teacher I've ever had. She brought positive energy to class. Good materials and well explained.
She is one of the best and the most compassionate math teacher I've ever had. She touched base with students who seemed troubled. Her instructions are very clear. Gave practice tests and explained every questions.
She provided us clear, simple, steps instructions to make stat doable. I liked her interpretation parts for each concept or problem to make sense all the why"s. She is easy going. Set up class so that students can succeed. Class crowded. Some students in my class did not study seriously.
She is a very compassionate teacher. Lecture handouts avail on canvas. She opened hws the whole semester. So students should not have issues with late extensions. In class activities/quizzes help you earn easy points. Make sure to come and behave in her class. Simple and easy.
Prof Ngo's class has a very good structure . Well-done, simple , doable instructions and materials. I liked that she gave group activities every class to practice/reinforce the concepts while students given good credits.
So far I enjoy her class even though math is not my favorite thing. Prof Ngo introduce and explain math concepts with examples and real-life applications. That makes her math lectures interesting. Structured and lots of materials but relaxing atmosphere.
Well, Differential equations summer 6 week class. Really crazy. Luckily we've got a very good professor. Ms Ngo well presents the materials, clear steps, explanations, lots of examples. We're just in week 3. She is so cool. Class is always full attendance. Good group.
Professor Ngo was reluctant to teach our DiffyQ class, but Im grateful that she did. This is a 6 week course and she makes M-Th 1:10-4:00PM absolutely manageable. We get 1-2 quizzes everyday that covers the material we learned. The quizzes are open note which makes allows us to practice and perfect the material. Tests are challenging, but fair.
Best Math 420 Teacher EVER. Lectures are amazing. She does numerous examples of various problems. Sad we only get her for 6 weeks. Youre the best , Professor Ngo!
It is an good class. Super busy with good materials and solid instructions. The prof is pretty generous w grading.
Just finished the 6 week DE course. We couldnt have asked for a better Professor. The class was a lot of work in a little amount of time. Tests were fair. Quizzes everyday. Show up, study hard. Keep a good attitude, too.
It was hard but very good class. I learned a lot from her class. When I came to this class w all calculus I thought my math was very strong but not true. I forgot or did not know lots of stuff . You need to prepare and study lower math seriously.
She is super organized from her lectures, tests, quizzes, homework. It looked like we had almost perfect attendance 40+ students, every day classes, 3 hrs, 6 weeks summer. Her boardworks were beautifully and clearly presented.
I felt blessed that ms. Ngo decided to teach this DE 6-week summer class. It was quite an experience to learn math with her and I also learned a lot from her class in many ways.
She covers the material to a very understandable extent. Hw wasn't mandatory only given to us as Extra Credit. There is quizzes everyday, but she allows for open note. I would recommend this professor to anyone. This is my last math class for me and I could have not ask for a better professor to end my math course for college until I transfer.
She is a great professor. I feel very comfortable with Algebra now!
Ms. Ngo is a truly fabulous teacher. I have always hated and struggled in math but she made a fast paced summer math class actually fun. She explains things in such an easy way and never complicates things more than they have to be. She's also very understanding of students and provides lots of extra credit. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Fabulous Teacher, Had an amazing summer learning Algebra
Very good professor, we had lectures every class and quizzes that we got to work on with other people. Homework was extra credit and we had 3 big exams and 1 final. Lectures were very clear and I definitely recommend her!
She was an amazing teacher. She made Differential equations very interesting. Well lectured and well structured/organized.
Incredible class for 6 weeks summer. I felt lucky that prof. Ngo taught differential equations. Her class materials tests, quizzes, hws, lecture presentations were well organized and presented. Learned a lot from her. Be better to behave.
Professor Ngo is amazing. I hated math until I took her class. She clearly and succinctly explains the concepts. If you do the homework/practice exams for extra credit you'll get perfect scores on her exams. She also allows notecards for exams. Daily group quizzes for easy points. She's strict on behavior so pay attention and be respectful!
Ms. Ngo is the best professor ever. I used to be so afraid of Stat since lots of folks have told me it's a very tough and boring subject, but so far a strong A in her class this semester. Prof. Ngo has very clear and well-presented lectures. Guarantee an easy A if you attend every lecture and practice the concept. Be respectful and well-mannered!
Very awesome Stat class! I felt so lucky to be in her class this semester. Homework is given to earn bonus on the exams, group quizzes every class (open notes), super fascinating lectures. Professor Ngo really wants her students to be successful. She's very strict on behavior, so make sure to have a good attitude in class. Love her class so much!
Great class, amazing professor! I really enjoyed learning math with prof. Ngo! Highly recommend her!
Ms. Ngo is awesome professor. I like her teaching style. She is very kind and caring.
She is an amazing educator. She made me fall in love with math and not afraid of it any more. I feel more confident now.
Professor Ngo made learning Stats very interesting! After failing a summer Stats class I was almost ready to give up, but luckily I didn't because I ended up passing her class with an A! Definitely recommend her for anyone who is struggling with math. She encourages you to succeed!
Ms. Ngo is truly caring for her students. Make sure to behave and have a positive attitude in her class. They matter to her. Very genius in her teaching style including lectures, assignments and people skills. You need a TI calculator and do your study.
Ms. Ngo is my best math/stat professor. She takes her job very seriously and is student-oriented. She seems tough but very kind and gentle. In my opinions, some students do not like to work/study but like to complain, takes things for granted.
I loved her teaching style. She is very gently. Make sure to study.
Prof. Ngo is really amazing. She cares about people and does a great teaching job. She is also fair. Students need to do their work and do not ask for favor.
I was fortunate to be added to her class. She teaches seriously and easily to understand & practice the concepts. I have learned a lot from her class. I love her STAT class. She is quiet, kind and caring.
She made math not too painful for me, especially after a long day at work. I enjoyed her class. Have a good manner in her class folks.
Great STAT professor. She is very clear and helpful. Should attend lectures or take online class.
She is a great professor. She is willing to take time and explain a topic in more detail if you dont understand. No textbook or online. She lets you know when you have a quiz but if the class respects her she lets you work in small groups of 3-4 on your quizzes. Really recommend her to anyone who has trouble understanding math.
Professor Ngo is a good professor and a very kind person. She does multiple choice quizzes everyday and multiple choice regular exams. She can be kind of quiet and has a bit of an accent, sit up front and ask questions and it's no problem. She gives out a lot of extra credit which helps a lot. She always assigned reasonable amounts of homework.
Ms. Ngo is such a caring professor, always be with you whenever you need help. I learned a lot in her class, not only math but also things in life. She does care a lot about students' behavior, so have a good attitude in her class, folks. Work hard, study hard and you will be fine.
Wonderful professor! Ive been out of school for 16 years and this was the first class Ive taken. She was easy to follow and helped when I needed it. Dont skip class as you will fall behind and it can affect your grade. She gives you the chance for extra credit, so take advantage of it when possible. I highly recommend taking her class.
She is a very cool professor teaching DE class. Her knowledge, teaching style: welcoming questions, inviting students to participate in lectures and caring, although she was kind a quiet person. Thankful that she taught last summer.
Prof Ngo seemed strict but it was for good since there were always trouble students who disturbed class. Very fair,Helpful & kind in a quiet way. If you are a serious learner and respect rules w good manners, you will appreciate her. Otherwise go someone else.
We had an amazing DE class summer 19. Unforgettable! I believed most of us enjoyed prof. Ngo lectures. Her charisma, unusual quality, caring in her quiet way. But the students knew and this is the best class I ever had. The students had their best behaviors and manners. Prof Ngo praised us and always gave us credits on our manners. She is amazing.
It was awesome DE class during summer with an outstanding professor. She was very dedicated, came to class early 7:45am usually, ready for class. When I came usually on time at 8am,she got lots of materials already on the board. Make sure to come to her class on time or you miss some stuff.
It was a wonderful DE class in the summer with a kind, caring, nice, dedicated, and super sweet professor. She loves her students and always helps them in a quiet way. The students were very nice and respectful, too. I will never forget this class!
Actually she was flexibility with attendance but she meant well when she put the absence policy on class syllabus. But you should come to her lectures. I learned a great deal. her lecture and board work were beautifully and clearly presented.
I loved her math 420 - DE - summer class. We worked really hard, class was energetic.I loved to come to her lectures. Clear, structured, well-organized and beautiful boardwork. She was typically early to class to put materials on the board. If you plan to take her, get serious and do the work. It's worth your time. she taught only summers.
Every class is a lecture with an open book quiz at the end. There are three tests and a final exam. The professor is super kind, and she provides optional homework and practice tests for extra credit. She is great at explaining stats and really wants you to pass. I highly recommend her!
She paid close attention to the students. If you want to take her, make sure that you need to study seriously. Do not skip lectures since she has in-class assignment for credits. Her teaching methods making stat 300 easier to understand and interesting life applications.
Ms. Ngo is always willing help. she is teaching seriously. She made it doable to get good grades but you need to study seriously, ie. showing your efforts (attendance, attention) plus a positive attitude. Students who never took math before could understand her stat materials and apps. Do your part. If you're not serious studying, skip hers.
Ms. Ngo makes STAT fun and interesting w/ lots of practical and relevant examples. You do not need to be good at math i n her class. Follow her instructions & do not be lazy. She teaches us other life skills besides stat. good luck!
Highly recommend her! But remember, she is teaching seriously and you need to study seriously.
A very good class w/ an amazing teacher. I started with her all Math 100, 120, 342, 420 and now stat300. She is kind and gentle and wants to see students grow well-rounded, not just in math. If you're not serious learners, skip hers.
Awesome professor. She always gave me help when needed. She encouraged and pushed students to their full potential, eventually to get good grades and move on as she always said in class. Don't be lazy , have a good manner in her class.
This is my first on-ground class. I was nervous before enrolling. My experiences are: Ms Ngo is the kindest professor I've ever had. She cared for every student even some of them had bad manners . Stats is a tricky and difficult subject, but she made materials easy to understand and I loved doing her class quizzes or group work.
At first, I was overwhelmed about the quizzes, but she made it group quizzes for those who need extra help. . Second, I would like to talk about is her exams, worksheets and extra credit. There is 4 exams total and 1 final exam. The exams are worth 100pts, but the worksheets are extra credit which can boost your grade for the exams. Take her!!!
A caring and professional educator. Well designed class with clear agenda and expectations. She seemed always interested in getting to know students in order to help. She pushed students to work up to next level.
Ms. Ngo was very cool math professor, kind and quiet person. Make sure you have time to study DE seriously, summer class was so intensive. Do not skip her class. Interesting lectures w/ very clear steps. Many examples, easy to follow.
Ms. Ngo is a good and caring professor. She seems strict, but she always tries all her best to help her students. I took her Math 120, Stat 300 and Math 420 and learned a lot in her classes. You need to study seriously; do not take things for granted! Also, please be respectful and well-mannered in her class. She does care about that!!!
Ms. T is the best math teacher ever! Every lecture is important so its best not to skip class. She allowed students to work collaboratively on quizzes and has thorough study guides that are very similar to the exams. She allows half sheets of paper to be used on exams for formulas/notes. Very funny, caring, and soft spoken so sit in the front!
Ms. Ngo is an very good educator. I enjoyed her lectures very much. She takes her teaching seriously. She made the concepts easier to understand with lots of examples. My classmates and I, most of us succeeded her class. One ot two students failed due to lack of committment/engagement/work.
Professor Ngo is very caring and want her students to be successful. You get a cheat sheet to write down notes for the test. There is most of times quizzes but you can do it with a partner or a group which makes it a lot easier. Attendance is very important and she really dislikes cell phones. Lectures are posted online no need for textbooks.
She was one of the best math professors Ive had and i really appreciated her teaching style and philosophy. I took her class seriously and enjoyed her class very much.
Took her DE last summer. She was always willing to help and very understanding. She took her job very seriously. Need come to class and do the work. Need to brush off your Calculus and other basics or it is tough to follow. She made the materials attracted and fun. If you did not do well your lower maths, you have tough time.
Great instruction with good preps and enthusiasm . I really enjoyed her class. Ms. Ngo's teaching method is incredibly phenomenal and effective, making it easily digestible to students. Loved in class interactions. I also liked studying from home with her helpful materials & study plans.
I like the way ms Ngo set up the class online. Her lecture notes with all details are so helpful in understanding the concepts. Make sure to study your lower math courses carefully and seriously. I got an A for the 1st test and have been so excited for the next ones.
I'm grateful to be in her DE this summer - 6 weeks online. No live instructions but very good notes: clear steps, key points, sample works, tests and quizzes are based on the materials covered. Her Canvas course design is very clear to follow. Excellent class to study at your own space. She is very fast responding and supporting.
I felt lucky to be in her class! Definitely a great experience learning online from her. Her study guide was awesome, clear steps and easy to follow. She was very fast responding to emails and constant communication. Online studies are very effective when you have a clear guide from the instructor but you need to DISCIPLINE YOURSELF to study.
Ms. Ngo's class was very well set-up for online - which is challenging for stat. I likes her very fast responses, answering every my questions. I believe she put lots efforts crafting this online course. Highly recommended, but just a heads up: you need to have self discipline to manage your time & independent studies - good experience.
Glad to take her course this summer - with all her support during this rough and intensive term. She made the course manageable and study guides easy to follow. I took her Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and statistics. She made math less intimidating, more important: her caring for students.
It's great idea to push this course in summer by taking part time professor Tu Ngo. This class is very cheap and easy. She does not give lectures but provides us her notes which is great except you avoid Typo. All quizzes, tests and final are multiple choice and open notes but she had typo on even final exam. This class is taken during COVID 19.
Ms. Ngo is very fast responding with emails. I like very much her online class: well-prep study guides with embedded hws and very engaging with test materials. It's effective and productive taking her online class. I can study in my own environment. 2 assignments each week. sweet!
Only gives quizzes, 60 minutes to do 5 question. Lecture notes are very clear and concise. Even with minimal effort you will pass.
I was scared of taking stat. Ms. Ngo is great with her online communication with class - She is online most of time and very quick, timely responded my emails or questions. Her class structure is simple and productive with her detailed, clear-steps study guides and assignments. I took it seriously. The outcome is worthwhile.
She is awesome. Stats was a breeze only with her help. She makes the material very clear and easy to understand. If youre still stuck, shes always willing to help because she wants the best for her students. Would also like to note there was no textbook & she made online school less of a worry. You must take her!
Prof. Ngo was amazing! There were no meetings; participation came in the form of completing the quizzes she assigns every week. She has all her study guides online, so no textbook needed! She always replied to emails quickly and encouraged her students to reach out if they had any questions at all. She really does care about each of her students :)
I just want to echo some of your posted reflection here. Ms. Ngo is genuinely caring about her students' learning and success. Her course were well prepared and instructed to support my learning. She was super fast responding my emails.
I believe ms. Ngo put lots of work into her study guides that were organized and flowing. I was surprised I could quickly pick up class materials. It's very easy communicating and reaching out to her. I took it online during covid 19.
Her study guides are fantastic and easier to follow than the textbook. I am thankful to take hers and how she run things. Highly recommended.
This Differential Equation course is brutal if you did not take your basic math seriously. A lot of theorems and proofs, terms, concepts interweaved together, making it more challenging. Her Study Guide slides are easier to follow. I appreciate her on-line class set up with clear information!
I like her class format with her study guides, which is well prepped and clear. She is student-oriented and genuinely cares about students' success. Most often her instant responses like chatting makes it less stressful when I need help. Watch out, you might be drowned easily in this DE course if not take previous maths seriously.
She is very quick responding my emails and the class with questions. She checks in with class weekly and daily with updates. Her Study Guides are exceptional. I think she puts lots of effort into this because it was extremely detailed and understandable- Differential Equations is hard course considering this was an online.
An intensive 8-week course played its part, challenged but I found the structure of the course solid and straightforward. Her study guides were clear and concise, making them ideal for remote self-study. Her grading is simple and clear. She responds promptly and cares about her students.
She is patient and gently with my troubles. I like her study guides - seem her big efforts in it, clear, detailed and right to the point. Her canvas instructions are clear and easy to follow. DE is a hard and challenging course if you did not study previous math courses carefully.
Her course was simply structured, right to the points and easy to follow, especially for online learning. I liked her your lecture guides and gentle communication.
Love her everyday messages w encouragements and support. Made my days better. Great class.
I enjoyed her class this summer. She frequently reached out to helping students to succeed. The study guides were extremely helpful! I am looking for her other math courses.
I am grateful to take professor Ngo's course summer 21. Her reaching-outs helped me a lot to get back on tract due to my personal distractions. To succeed her class, you need to focus studying her Lecture Guides. Her instructions are very clear and right to the point and easy to follow.
Easy peasy!! I took her over the summer in 2021. She gives out studies guilds to help you learn the material. She didn't require a textbook which is amazing. Who wants to read out of a boring textbook. Weekly quiz with plenty of time. Highly recommend.
Ms. Ngo is awesome. She was very caring and consistently reaching out to class. It helped me work a lot better with my online learning. She reminded us on everything.
I am thankful for her full support throughout this journey. This is my 3rd enrollment in Pre-Cal and how much it intimidates me. Knowing that she was always there and welcoming if I reach out for assistance was comforting enough.
Professor Ngo takes her job seriously. So you'd better have a good attitude taking her class seriously. There are lots of materials and it is very intensive course. I have felt that I've learned a thousand times what I learned math in my HS and well-prepped my Calculus. She cares about students' learning and success.
Summer 2022, 6 unit Precalculus. Wonderful teacher. Precalc is not easy and other classes I have had were BURDENED with HW and fast pace.. too much work. Her class is just the "meat and potatoes" of precalc. It is all concepts you will need to be successful. She is the best. Will go out of her way to assist your academic needs.
Loved her lectures! I learned a great deal from her teaching, not just DE, many other things. She took her teaching job seriously and worked very hard along with her infectious positivity, student supports.
Fantastic DE instruction! Ms. Ngo cared about her students. Her kindness and encouragement made me love the course. I was always looking forward to going to her lectures. Take it seriously and you will enjoy it!
Professor Ngo did a great job as an educator, both higher math and life knowledge. Her hard working and care for students did not go unnoticed. I enjoyed and learned a lot from her DE course, including Calculus reviews. If in-person class is not your thing, go to online section. Attend her classes with your full attention and be proactive.
Prof. Ngo is taking her teaching seriously. She is working hard and paying attention to her students. I enjoy this class with her instructions, except that some obnoxious students who are loud, chatty, late and not taking class seriously.
It's worth to attend her lectures and take notes carefully which contain all exam materials. I like her clear way solving DEs. This is a hard class for students who are not solid w prior maths. Otherwise, it's very OK w Prof. Ngo's instructions. I have to review Calculus & Algebra to catch up. Cons: Immature and disrupted behaviors of some students
Personally, the class itself isn't overtly difficult, like some other classes I've taken at this college such as PHYS421, it's just that the class isn't good. It also annoys me that 95% of these reviews are fake. You need to make sure to take notes as exams seem to be 95% things from the notes & homework isn't good practice, it's just busy work.
If students did not master or were not proficient prior math concepts, they would be drowned in this course. I learned a lot w/ new stuff DE and prior maths with prof. Ngo. Very good instructions and set up.
It was a good class. Some folks seemed not ready for college level.
I personally would not recommend this professor if better differential equation professors are available. She seems caring, and it is possible to get an A in her MATH420 course if you spend more hours, but be aware of the exams which are more difficult than the class quizzes. The professor is not resourceful and she does not give good feedback.
Very good class with lots of helpful materials and teaching from Ms. Ngo.
It's worth my efforts taking her in-person class this summer. I have learned a great deal of math materials including strategies using Algebra, trig, preach, calculus. Did not miss any of her lectures. Prof. Ngo is supportive.
This in-person class is engaging informative lectures, right-to-the-point concepts and examples. Prepared for quizzes and exams. Prof Ngo cares about student success. Get ready! Course materials are challenging and intensive. I work hard brushing off my trig/precal/cal since most my prior maths were online - she gives reminders/reviews as needed.
I learned a lot from her DE course, including prior math knowledge. She reviewed or went dipper with the materials. 100% in-person lectures. Expected to work harder, especially if you took online math courses previous semesters. Solutions of DE problems are very very long.
Intensive and challenging materials. Her instructions were amazing. She loved explaining/answering your questions in person; I loved her board work. Prep your prior math pre-req or you may get drown. Very long and tedious work. I struggled at the beginning with shallow understanding of my prior math courses; but was able to catch up w/ hard work
Professor Ngo is truly an outstanding instructor! She truly wants to see all her students succeed.
Calculus II: A great teacher w/ challenging materials. She went deeper into Series, DE and complexity of integrations . At first I felt dreaded going everyday, for 7:30 am classes but then overcame and enjoyed them. She is supportive and liked to explain/answers students' questions at the board for the entire class. No electronic devices allowed.
Took calc2 over the summer, the class was a lot of work but anything hard. Take this teacher if you can, she is super nice and its not that hard either
Amazing professor! I was concerned that I would struggle for 8 weeks but it became the easiest math class I've taken. Tests are just like her study guides, quizzes are similar to class work & extra credit for participation. She was accommodating to my situation of missing the last week of class, she's very caring and wants her students to pass.
She is a good professor; her lectures are enjoyable, and she knows what she's talking about. She gives just-intime reviews for algebra. 2 exams, 1 final , 1quiz/week. Quizzes are quite very doable, directly from homework or she gives a brief review if you pay attention. Students with more than 3 absences are usually dropped.
She paid attention to students' learnings. I loved trig materials w/ her awesome instructions. Lots of formulas, lots of work. That was good for my calculus, DE and physics. She was very supportive but strict. Take other/online instructors if you prefer a laid-back setting.
Very good class. I was scared taking Stat for ever. MS. Ngo made it doable. Need to come and do the work. Without your efforts to practice to get familiar w the concepts, not able to succeed. it.
Loved Prof Ngo's trig classes. Lots of work but fun. She loved you working hard. Tons of formulas and concepts. Get ready! BTW, in person lectures and she cared about your attendance/participation.
Lectures are good & she sets well-defined criteria for success. She makes time to answer questions during office hours. Tests are fair and follow the material taught in class. If you complete all homework assignments, you shouldn't have trouble with the weekly quizzes. DE was difficult for me, but if you put in the work you should be fine.
I love her trig lectures. Fun to learn. She always gave reviews before quizzes or tests. She is working hard. So, you'd better work harder and take the course seriously. Homework is on Canvas. She gives attendance credits & participation.
I was glad taking her course. Prof. Ngo gave us resources to succeed. She patiently taught us the steps to succeed in solving math problem. She is very devoted in her teaching. I put lots of efforts to come learn as well.
clearly knows what she's teaching and can teach it in an understandable way. TONS of example problems and the lectures are totally doable. not to much homework and grades fairly. quizzes and exams were not bad. don't be absent to often though she will drop you.
You need a TI 84 for Prof. Ngo's class. Attendance is required and recorder. Prof. Ngo instructions are very clear with details. She remains at class to help me understanding and working on class materials. I was scared of the subject before taking the course.
This was a summer Calculus 2. I enjoyed and learned a lot from her class as it helped review/enhance my fundamental math skills. Prof. Ngo inspired me learning math and other things in just 8-week course.
Such a worthy semester in prof. Ngo's class. Her passion for the subject matter and dedication to her students truly made a difference in my learning experience. Her time and efforts invested in guiding me through the materials and providing valuable insights.
Prof. Ngo provided clear instructions with well-structured study guides, group assignments - making Stat learning very doable and interesting, not as what I had been worried before taking her Stat course.
Prof. Ngo provided lecture study guides with very clear, simplified steps, easy to follow. I practiced a lot to be comfortable to succeed the quizzes or exams or it must be very confused when I needed to figure out which methods to use. Avoid skipping her lectures or you may get lost easily.
She is writing reviews herself. Hundreds of them using the same broken english and talking points she uses during class. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR
DE is a hard subject, a top college math course. It requires strong Calculus and college math skills. If you don't put in the work to practice then you won't understand and won't pass. Some students did not even know trig or separating rational functions (algebra) or integrations (calculus), etc. Prof. Ngo presented very well with detailed steps.
I'm thankful to have Prof. Ngo this course. She worked hard to help review lots of fundamental concepts while teaching new materials. I did not have math for a long time and did not study seriously before. Show up and study/practice!
Professor Ngo's Math401 class is intense but rewarding. She provides clear and engaging lectures, and is committed to helping students succeed. While the course material is challenging, her support and high-quality instruction make it manageable.
Professor Ngo's Math401 class was challenging but rewarding. She's an engaging lecturer who genuinely wants students to succeed. Textbook is helpful, and unstuckstudy AI was a great study tool alongside traditional resources.
I tried to pass this class w Prof. Ngo this semester but I needed to drop since I had no math at all. The school do not offer any lower math. Prof. Ngo is supportive and patient explaining basic math. But it's still hard for me to follow. I will sign up w her again next semester when ready.
I loved Prof. Ngo Stat course. She taught the subject clearly and easy to follow. She may drop you if > 3 absences. Extra credits were given sometimes for participation.
3 absences allowed, weekly quizzes. I like group assignments. I like Prof. Ngo's teaching style. She gives review before quizzes. She does warm-up exercises at the beginning lectures. She is friendly and approachable.
Prof. Ngo is supportive and working hard to ensure students to succeed. Not required to buy materials, TI -84 loaned from ARC. Make sure to show up, pay attention to the lectures (lots of tips) and do the work. good luck!
Very positive teaching style with a supportive learning environment. Show up at class, pay attention to the instructions and do the work. Your are fine!
Professor Ngo is fair. The workload is manageable w her caring approach. She genuinely wants students to succeed - Attending class, paying attention to the instructions, doing homework. She quietly rewards attendance/participation w some extra credits. If not into in-person course, sign up for online sections.
If you wanna a more laid-back professor, do not take her. She keeps track attendance /tardiness/or leaving early and might drop more than 3 absences. She supports students like giving extra practice or volunteers working at board with some extra points. That's very helpful for my final scores.
The professor is passive aggressive if you try to ask for clarification on basic questions and she can't speak a lick of English. I had to self teach myself a bit on YouTube to understand the formula's she was attempting to tech. The course itself wouldn't've been as difficult if she just improved her English speaking abilities.
I like prof. Ngo's class structure and support (Business Math). Attendance and participation matter to succeed. Her gradings are clear. Homework is on canvas. Class lecture notes were posted on canvas or provided as needed. So, materials are free of cost.
Prof. N set up the course pretty simple with zero-cost materials. You need your own calculator. Show up, practice and complete assignments. Attendance counted (max 3 absences allowed). If you do not plan to come to class regularly, then take the online sections. She drops the lowest quiz and test scores.
She's very nice and makes this class super accessible and easy to pass. I missed a couple of homework assignments, which is why I didn't get a higher grade but that is my own fault. No textbooks required. Quizzes every week but they aren't super long. There are some group assignments as well, but nothing to be afraid of. I recommend her!
Didn't use textbooks but her explanations were clear and easy to understand. Emailed students every week telling them good job.
Things were set up simple, clear, easy, supportive. Lots of materials. Prepare to take it more seriously - it's worth it for your calculus series.
Prof. Ngo has a thick accent and mumbles, making it hard to understand her. If she spoke louder and clearer, lectures might be more helpful. Also, the reviews seem fake—same structure, "Prof. Ngo" in each, identical 5.0/3.0 ratings, and repeated tags like "inspirational" and "caring." Feels scripted. Not ideal if you rely on lectures to learn.
Nice professor and class isnt hard. There was weekly quizzes that were not hard and there was a lot of extra credit oppurtunities throughout the semester. three tests (the last one was optional) and a final. Lectures were a bit boring and hard to pay attention to but you can figure it out.
Great professor, she was understanding throughout the semester and would help you with any question and was highly supportive and engaging in math even outside of class, for example, the integration bee. I would definitely take her for Calc again if I can. Definitely the best class I've had in college so far was MATH 401 with her.
It was an fabulous semester learning Calculus 2 with Prof. Ngo. Her lectures were full, awesome, supporting and encouraging students' participation and attendance. I had fun and eagerness to learn lots stuff for her teaching. Wish she would teach Cal3 or Differential Equation again.
Amazing semester and experience with my Calculus 2 . Prof. Ngo made me able to take my math learning seriously and fall in love with it again. I appreciate her teaching! Intensive materials but fun. Attendance, attention and (positive) Attitude with practicing matter for your success. fyi, she did not allow electronic devices in her lecture.
An amazing semester w Prof. Ngo! I was behind in my prior maths but inspired to catch up w prof. N and fell in love w math. DE is a very hard course if not prepped well. Attendance/participation matter. Inviting and inclusive learning environment. She is supportive/strict w class rules. (max 3 absences, no electronic devices allowed during lec.)
Prof. Ngo was serious w her teaching job although she had some flex and support. If you prefer a more laidback style, skip her. I was able to catch up tons of my prior math w her.
Professor Ngo was amazing. It's clear she wanted success for all of her students. Very laid back and kind, however she speaks softly so try and grab a seat near the front. Attendance was very strict at the beginning of the semester, but she eased off a lot closer to the middle/end. If you need support or have questions she's very accommodating!
