Only thing I can say nice about her is that she is nice. Other than that she is a horrible teacher. When she shows you how to do problem she over-complicates thing when they are much more simpler. She is very hard to understand when she talks sometimes and gets side-tracked very easily. I would type more but there is a 350 word limit.
Ms Ngo is very helpful and supportive. I failed this class two times before taking her class last Spring. I believe I can do math better now.
Ms. Ngo taught math in a way that I could understand. In her class was and is the first time I have ever felt more confident in math. That's because you have been a great instructor.
Ms. Ngo is very kind and dedicated. She wants to make sure her students study and succeed. But some M581 students were really dumb and retarded.
Awesome teacher! Zero interest in math/stats before I took her, and it is now my favorite class. You have to pay attention, participate, and do the homework, but the work load is nothing insane for a math class. She offers so much extra credit work, it would be really hard not to pass. I highly recommend her, she is stern, but you WILL learn stats.
She is an amazing teacher! anyone who didn't pass her class must've been not doing any work, her class is so easy and she teaches all the calc. steps!Doesn't use a txtbk & she gives 20 points for perfect attendance at the end of the semester. Quizzes, hw and tests have similar questions so if you do the HW before your test, you're guaranteed an A.
She really helped me understand STAT & Prob in a way that no other teacher or professor has. But you must study and prepare in her class.
Professor N could be strict sometimes. But if you show her politeness and respect, she would be very helpful. A lot of in-class activities for extra points. She remembered students' names. Prepare for her class if you want good grade. Good luck.
She can be very helpful if you show a good and respectful attitude. Write your paper neatly she would give extra points. Complete her assignments, then you will be fine.
She is very good, prepare well for class to practice the materials every section. I really like her pushing students to work harder to get good grades.
She is great. Her STAT materials are easy to learn. Her instructions solving STAT problems using TI 83/84 is fantastic. Saved huge time reading or following textbooks as I took it with another instructor before. Just pay attention in her lectures. She stressed on KEY WORDS/PHRASES to tackle STAT problems more efficiently.
She taught Math slowly and with steps. A bit slower for me but I think it's good for other students in general. She remembers students' names. So don't talk in her class. She walked around to check/help students' work. I liked her class although it was 7AM.
Her Stat class was very interesting. I have learned so much that I am able to teach the children at my school. No textbook required. Just need MyMathlab, Calculator TI 83/84 a MUST since she taught tricks/tips to solve stat problems way faster and easier than other methods. She is good. Show respect.
She is good. No textbook required. Lots of extra credits for in-class practice. She walked around to help and check on students. The only thing is her class is very early 7am. Not the best time.
Prof. Ngo is very good. She gave lecture notes, handouts and a lot of in class exercises. She gave practice tests and encouraged students to do them to prepare for tests, which was an excellent method. I used to have math anxiety but felt very comfortable in her class. She encouraged team work, study groups. She walked around to help too.
loved her class.
Ms. Ngo is cool. I love this computer mediated setting. She is very nice but do keep eyes on students'' learning performance. Behave in her class.
Her lecture is right to the points then we apply the concepts right on computers Mymathlab. It's great and effective class. I love it. She checks attendance every class, gives individual help and is kind. Bring a good attitude to her class. She offers extra credits.
Prof. N is a great. She gives individual help. Walk through class and see how you work. Lectures are good, to the points. I like working on MML for class assignments with her help right after the lecture. It's cool, finish in class, very effective.
she is fine. you irritate her if come to class unprepared.
This is the latest hour math class so it's harder, especially for stat subject. But her class is full and students have been pretty well participated. Big motivation with extra credits for staying to do in-class assignments. Materials given, no textbook required. Her instructionstips to tackle stat is clear and helpful if you pay attention.
It was such a good class. She pushed students studywork. No textbook required. She gave class handoutslecture notes. You need a TI 8384 calculator. It helps.
I struggled to manage my work and school schedule. She is kind and helpful. Bad behavior in class will hurt your learning process. Do no skip her classes as much as you can. Her lectures were critical. Stat is not hard but requires your attention and practice.
I loved this class computer-setting. She did half time crystal clear lecture. And then we practiced and finished assignments on computer with her individual help. Tests & quizzes on Mymathlab in class. She typically gave us 2 attempts for each quiz or test. So cool! i learned math very effectively in her class. time used excellently. No textbook.
I loved to come to this class. Learned a lot. Hands-on practice on computer. Finished everything in class if you wanted to. her instructions are good and she is very fair and helpful.
Hard subject. Required critical, analytical thinking. No textbook required but TI 8384 is a MUST. She prepared lecture notes and practice exercises well. I liked her group assignments. More fun and productive when you review the concepts with your class mates. Well done!
Ms. N. is great! She offers extra credit for just doing homework as a group in almost every class! There are 10, 10 question multiple choice quizzes and 4, 25 question multiple choice tests. She allows one page of notes for each test!!! Do ALL the homework, come to EVERY class, and copy everything she writes on the board and you'll for sure pass!!
She is super sweet. She remembers students' names well and gives students attention.
Need to come to class and study. She is very helpful and dedicated. I love her in-class practice and group work. It makes me work.
This professor is great! She is quick on the whiteboard so you must interact with her and ask questions if you need clarity! She has a great sense of humor too! Be sure you go to class so you don't get lost and do all your extra credit handouts and homework! A very hard class but very rewarding in the end.
Ms. Ngo is a good teacher. She did extra work to help students. I found some students to be rude, ill-mannered, and disruptive. I just wanted say that at least some of us appreciate the time it takes to prepare the lessons and teach us..
She is kind and understanding. But the students need to work hard and have a good attitude. Class is light.
Ms Ngo is one of the best instructors I've ever had. Class materials and lectures are great, especially for STAT subject. She has step-by-step instructions and using TI calculator. There have been several lazy chatters who have been very disruptive, not taking class seriously. They better do home-schooling so that we could have a better learning en
The professor is amazing. She is super fair. The students who if ever complain are the lazy chatters , do not pay attention or skip classes. I love taking math with her again.
Ms. Ngo is kind and helpful. She was always there to help. But her class was very early 7:15.
I am very curious to learn statistics good, thoroughly. She made it more fun than work--to actually know stats than a lot of formulas. Fun to learn doing stat with TI calculators. Some students in my class did not have a good attitude though.
Professor Ngo is quick and expects students to be prepared and ready to go when she enters the room. She is fair, gives opportunities for extra credit and is helpful. She delights when students speak up and know the material. Great class.
She is very good. She provided lecture notes and work sheets. a little note card for exams. have a good attitude.
Easy test, lost of group quizzes. Helps to boost your grade. Talks real quick, because she needs to cover lots of material. Sometimes hard to understand, but lots of opportunities to get good grade. Recommend
I took Prof. Ngo for both Intermediate Algebra and Trigonometry I appreciate her style of teaching as it makes a difficult class more attainable. She has multiple choice quizzes and tests gives helpful online HW assignments as well as written HW packets. She hands out practice tests essential to passing tests and provides good one-on-one support.
She is great teacher: fun, great sense of humor, willing to help students.
She is fantastic as long as students seriously study . Do care about students. motivates students.
She teaches Stat in a way I can understand and follow very easily. Several students just try to pass this class and do not not take it seriously. They do not pay attention, do not study, nor prepare for class. So they come to class and cannot follow lectures. Sometimes disrupt and slow down the class. That's what I don't like.
I like her class and her teaching styles. She seems tough but do care about students. Study and pay attention to her instructions. It's way more helpful than you spend time on reading textbook.
I have learned a lot and have done very well in her class. She makes sure students work hard. If not serious, do not take hers.
I really liked and learned a lot from her teaching style and wisdom. Students need to do their parts. I saw several students who did not prepare and were not ready for the class. This slowed down the whole class.
I really liked this teacher. Her grading is pretty easy. Daily quizzes but they are 10 problems over what you did that day they are very easy. we had 4 tests no cumulative final. She is very helpful and nice. She teaches a little fast and is a little hard to understand sometimes with her accent but i highly recommend and i plan on taking her again
I took her STAT class last summer. I would say I never seen any summer class like this. Most of students work hard and showed up 5 days/week. Ms. Ngo was very helpful and made it understandable. I enjoyed her class.
How different from last instructor! It was an excellent class! We got a great summer class with Ms. Ngo learning STAT.
I am glad I took Trig with ms. Ngo. her class is awesome.
She is fabulous. I had 3 math classes with her.
Can't be better. She is a solid choice. Study seriously and stay positive.
I felt grateful that she was my professor for this class. She was kind and patient while instructing us. Best choice for me.
She absolutely is a solid choice.
probably the best math instructor I have ever had and have never done so well in a math class. I really did learn a lot abo. Students need to do their jobs and cooperate with the teacher. She is super nice.
SHe is kind and flexible to help reopen homework assignments before final so that students can improve their grades. That was essential for me. She is a Great Teacher for 3 semesters I took her math classes, which have been enjoyable. Her quizzes each class individual or group with open notes helped students to practice the concepts. Some students
would be the best math prof. out there. She's very educated in the subject and teaches with enthusiasm. She's very accessible outside of class for help with problems, usually she is at Math center. Test preparation is extremely helpful. Get a lot done in class. Do your study job.
Best math teacher her power points are well explained and she actually TEACHES!!!!Homework is sometimes a lot (My Math Lab) but it really does help you in work/lesson better! I look forward to taking my next math course with her! Oh, Be ready for a quiz every class (will make an impact on your overall grade & gives extra credit every test!!
I really learned from her teaching stat. Helpful and caring. Show your effort.
Her lectures/quizzes/exams are well-prepared and making sense. lectures are well presented. She seems tough but very kind. Students have a good attitude.
I liked her very well-organized: lecture notes, work sheets, assignment, tests, quizzes. Fair and crystal clear grading criteria. Come to lectures and show your efforts, not to hard to get good grades in her class.
Trig materials are very difficult and challenging for Algebra students. I'm glad that I took this class with Ms. Ngo. She has amazing knowledge about the subject. We got good materials, assignments from her. She is a nice /kind teacher.
Trig is a hard and challenging class, especially for algebra students. You need to prepare to study/work hard. Ms. gave well-designed lectures and assignments, quizzes and exams. She is very helpful for us to succeed. it's worth it.
Trig is a challenging class but ms. Ngo is a very very good instructor. You have to work harder especially if you just got math D, it's not a joke There are a lot of formulas to memorize and apply. get prepared and have fun.
If you need help in math she is AMAZING! I've never had an A in math before Prof. Ngo. She takes the time to explain concepts, answers all questions, and helps make the math simpler. She made time to help students outside classroom and genuinely cares about student's success. There are group quizzes and a cheat sheet on each exam.
It was a very well constructed class and made me understand statistics on a whole other level. class notes, group quizzes, work sheets, sample tests are very helpful to prepare for exams, with extra credits.
Class is well-organized. She is nice and helpful. Show your effort. She gave group work after each lecture for credits. Sample tests, Work sheets are very helpful and given extra credits also.
One of the best teachers I have ever had. Stat is a hard subject but she was very clear/simple/well-organized, she was also very willing to help during office hours. Definitely take her class especially if you HAVE to take STAT but have struggled with understanding the subject. Repeat lecture examples, sample tests, work sheets.
Summer class: short time & intensive. Appreciated her hard work, she really wanted all of us to do good in class and not just understood the material but transformed into the test & applications as well.
How different from last semester! Thank you for an excellent class. prof. Ngo provided students a lot of opportunities and motivations to learn and to succeed. be good and study seriously, you should be fine. She is always available to help in math center or after class.
I've always had math anxiety and the last time I took a math course was 4 years ago but she made this class the one I didn't have to stress about. Show up. Homework Extra Credit. Worksheets extra credit. Test is exactly like the Sample practice test which if you do is extra credit. Quiz everyday but it's a group quiz. Awesome professor!
I loved her teaching styles. Well-organized lectures and assignments. Very inspiring with her positive spirit and attitude. Make sure you can manage to attend her lecture regularly and do the work.
She is amazing educator. I love her lectures and examples, which are very helpful to understand and remember Stat dry concepts. Very good class. We do very well since we do the work seriously and show up. I think the ones who failed her exams skipped her lectures and did not do the work.
We have an awesome stat class with prof. Ngo. She is real amazing. Good and practical examples that help student to relate and remember the concepts. She motivates and inspires us to study.
I know I could do much better in her class but my life circumstances didn't allow me to go to school and have plenty of time for hw and study. That was my fault. Prof. Ngo was very kind, and a great teacher. If I ever be in later math I will be taking her again.
Amazing teacher, she cares about your grade and will help you achieve it. She is very soft spoken but other than that shes the best teacher Ive had for Stats. I failed my other classes but the way she taught everything made so much sense. I highly recommend taking any course with her
Take her, take her, take her! She is great! Ive never liked math but she makes it so easy. Homework is optional for extra credit, 10 point open note quizes almost every class, and you get a note card for tests. Also she is very nice and cares about her students.
If I didn't miss many lectures and turned in homework, worksheets and passed the final, I would definitely pass. I realized my situation probably seemed lazy but in reality it was a difficult semester with illnesses non stop. At any rate I really liked Prof. Ngo and appreciated her time, patience and kindness.
She has a strong accent and a soft voice so sit up front if you can! Sometimes it can be hard to understand her at first but after you have her class for awhile you start to understand. Easy quizzes almost daily. Very great lectures. She has a good sense of humor as well and is very understanding! Highly recommend.
Ms. Ngo is super nice and kind. She makes time for students, available to help outside classrooms. Amazing lectures. Good class.
Prof. Ngo was super kind and caring. She was fun to work with, too. We had a great Stat class with a very good group of students. Some students did not come to class or do the work, so they failed and got upset.
I failed this class with another professor. Then this semester I took it again w/ Ms Ngo. She made me work harder and not repeat it. She made time to help outside classroom like in the lab. She really motivated, encouraged and inspired me to pursue my career. Do your work with a positive attitude. It's worth it my effort.
I took College Algebra and Trig with Ms. Ngo. She was great teacher. She cared for her students. made time for us outside classrooms. I wish she would teach higher math like calculus1, cal2, etc. so that I can take her again.
It was a great class, very supportive learning environment. I wish me Ngo teaching higher math this spring. my husband and friends want to take her class so much.
It was a great class thanks to a fantastic teacher. Ms Ngo was kind, cute, fun and caring. Her class was well structured, and organized. Her materials and instructions were easy to follow.
I liked her teaching style. Lectures, materials, assignments were well designed and structured. Easy to follow and understand the materials. She tried her best to make time for students outside classrooms. She is casual and very friendly.
I used to hate math and I failed this class twice before knowing ms Ngo. I loved her teaching style and personality. She is very kind and gentle.
I just came back to school after 10 + years and was very anxious at math. But now I feel very much confident and relaxing learning math with ms Ngo. She has a great deal of compassion for students. She makes time for students outside of classroom. She is a good teacher.
She is very kind, gentle and caring about her students. I got some health issues when taking her class last fall but she was willing to do extra work to help me catch up and complete the course successfully. I highly recommend her but do not forget to do your study since I nearly failed for not spending enough time for her class.
She is very gentle, patient and caring about students. She pays attention to each individual student. She motivates and encourages us to focus and complete the course. Wish she teach my Math D next term.
I actually met her in Math center, where I came to see her for help regularly. She gave me tremendous help to understand Stat materials and to successfully passed this course. She always made time and gave a deep/clear explanation. She is patient and gentle.
She gave us extra credit for attending class, and she marked me as absent one of the days despite me coming to school AN HOUR EARLY to make it to class. Denied her mistake to the end, very unprofessional and honestly should've reported her for her conduct. Don't trust the positive reviews on here at all, they were all most likely written by her
She is very kind and gentle. Easy to get help from her outside classroom. I almost gave up class but she motivated and advised me not to drop or give up. I feel much more comfortable with math now.
Wish I can take next math classes with Ms. Ngo. She is very caring and gentle. She just not teach math but she gets to know and help each and everyone of us. Some students skipped classes, not studied or prepared. She makes lots of time at math center to help me to understand and not afraid of math.
She is a dedicated teacher, approachable, accessible. She made it fun place to come. Worth my time to attend her lectures. Never missed any class.
Ms. Ngo is a good teacher. She knows how to teach math to math phobias. I really like her teaching style and philosophy. She is willing to spend extra time to help me catch up at Math lab to be successful for this class. She is sweet.
I took stat w another teacher since she did not teach stat this semester. I struggled with this class and wanted to drop. I came to math center and met her. She helped me a great deal to understand all stat concepts and finished the class with an A. She is very kind
Ms. Ngo is amazing teacher. I tried to avoid Stat after my first fail a couple of semesters ago. I felt so blessed to take her class this summer. It was an awesome class. Materials are very clear, simple, organized, easy to understand.
It was a great summer semester. Ms. Ngo did a wonderful job teaching Stat.
It was such a great class and great professor. I learned a lot from her class, overall. Very good ,materials and class structures.
Took prof Ngo over summer for statistics. Although she is a sweet lady, her lectures can be a little tricky to understand. Every time I was in need of help, the math center did nothing... so taking notes or printing her lectures are a must. Had to work hard for an A but it was well worth it! Take advantage of the extra credit!
Ms. Ngo was the best math teacher I ever had. I failed this class with another instructor and retook it w Ms Ngo. I just hoped to pass but ended up w an A thanks to her clear, understandable and simple instructions - The way she set up for students to be able to learn and succeed.
Prof Ngo is a good educator. She kindly supports her students in many ways. I learned a lot from her.
She definitely cares about her students, with plenty of chances for extra credit. She leaves heartwarming comments on tests, avoids textbook or material costs, and makes sure everyone understands what's being taught.(might be bad if you're a quick learner). She's quiet and a bit hard to understand, but you should be fine if you sit in front.
I enjoyed taking College Algebra with Professor Ngo. Homework not required, but was extra credit for exams. Quizzes daily. If you don't pay attention or practice, you may not do well. She IS soft spoken and lectures move quickly. Doesn't use Canvas for grading. Like others have said, sit in front! Do HW, ask Qs if you get lost and you'll do well.
She is my best math teacher! Students need to study seriously though.
Ms. Ngo has a genius teaching style, well organized and well structured. Students need to do the work though, especially after class like homework. The materials are more challenging if you do not prepare.
Ms. Ngo is a very caring instructor. She set up class for students' success if they really want to learn. My confidence in math is higher thanks to her teaching. She is also very gentle and positive.
I really like her teaching style: clear, fair, organized, simple and kind/caring. Highly recommended
Prof. Ngo is an amazing educator. She truly cares about her students. She knew every student's names and situation. She had a very smart teaching styles that made my math learning enjoyable. Tips: she cares about students' manners. So have a positive attitude in her class.
Terrible teacher, very condescending to her students and mocks them if they don't know the answer to a question right off the bat. Everyone was pretty frustrated by the way she treated us by the end of the semester.
I learned a lot from her class. Not just math but a lot other things, like common sense, general knowledge, how to interpret things, math/stat apps. I enjoyed this subject although many other students were not into it or not willing to work.
Prof. Ngo is a very good teacher. I loved her class and was glad that I took her class. She is very gentle and helpful. However, with STAT subject and her clear instructions, students need to attend class regularly to benefit from it.
I really enjoyed her STAT lectures. Fridays, 4 + hours but she made it Fun and seemed very flowing. Awesome teacher. One of the best math teacher I had . She is very helpful and gentle. I will take more classes in future.
She made STAT fun and low cost class. She is patient, kind and caring. Some students did not take class seriously and did not do the work, then eventually dropped out. Also, 4+hours class sounds scary, but she made it really effective and worth your time. Take her.
Professor Ngo was a great instructor and her class was very simple, however you did need to attend each class to pass. Due to the fact that there are 1-2 group quizzes each day. Overall we had four exams, 20 group quizzes, and lots of extra credit. Exams were very similar to practice exams, that she gave and we received a cheat sheet for every exam.
Very nice teacher and class. She made STAT easy to learn and understand. I like her teaching methods. But if you are committed to attend all her lectures, it;s worth your time and efforts or take online class. I saw some students showed up here/ there, skipped classes and eventually dropped or not able to catch up with class.
I have always struggled in math regardless of the curriculum, however, this math class was a major exception. Tu Ngo lectures the material very well, is a very considerate grader, and a very understanding professor. Show up to each lecture and do your very best and you will surprise yourself with how well you do.
Her teaching style was very easy to follow and made learning or relearning some of the more difficult topics in trigonometry much easier. Glad to take her class this summer.
Ms Ngo makes Stat meaningful and fun. Her teaching style is simple and go to the point. She simplifies life. Only TI 83/84 is required for her class. She loves you come and get engaged in lec so that you don't have to struggle on your own outside of class. Need to understand her point.
Ms. Ngo helped lots of us on TRIG this summer, many hours outside classroom. Her class materials are clear with good grading criteria. Do not skip her lectures. Bring your good manners to class. There were some racists in my class, who commented on her accent, but she acted very cool. She is not native, her English is fine with very light accent.
She was very cool prof. Her STAT class was very well organized and structured. She came to class with clear agenda, lectures, assignments (groups/ind.), test preparations, fair grading. I took her Friday 4+ hours. Students were scared away from this model. But she made time fly fast. She was very helpful.
Ms. Ngo was kind and gentle. She worked hard and was very dedicated to help us who struggled with trig this summer. Do not skip her classes. Have a good manner and attitude in her class.
I liked her lectures which were actually interesting and flowing. At first I thought it was a boring and heavy 5hrs-STAT class, but it turned out a fun group/class as long as not skipping classes or doing something else during lectures. She is a good and caring teacher. Get serious in learning process, she would help.
I enjoyed and felt fulfilled taking STAT w ms Ngo. She is dedicated and made the class very worth to attend/participate. She remembered students' names and she is very helpful. However, I saw students who frequently skipped lectures were not able to keep up.
Amazing teacher. We have a total of 15 quizzes, she drops one. We had extra quizzes to replace low scores. On tests, you are able to have a sheet of notes. Before tests, she goes over problems. Homework is extra credit. She gives you ALL the chances to succeed. Really recommend her statistics class.
Ms. Ngo's Stat class was very simply set up for students success. However, students need to come to class regularly and pay attention to her instructions: clear, simple, doable teaching methodologies. good luck! (She cared about her students)
I enjoyed her Sat STAT. It seemed a tough 5 hrs class but she made it very interesting. I've learned a lot from her teachings, not just STAT, but also life perspective and applications. Of course, students need to do the work.
Ms Ngo is a good and dedicated teacher. Simple, clear teaching methods with compassion for students. Bring your good attitude and study seriously in her class, then A/B/or at least pass, is very doable.
Ms Ngo is the kindest professor. She seemed tough but quietly kind. She cared for every student even with those having negative attitude . Stats is a difficult subject, but I liked her lectures. She extended concepts w lots of examples, life apps. I learned a lot from her, not just stat. Have good behaviors and work, class is simple, A is doable.
I took her Saturday class. Shes strict about attendance, but thats it. She literally GIVES you the A. All you have to do is show up and pay attention. She allows calculators on the tests and offers a ton of extra credit. Other than her strict attendance policy prof. Ngo is amazing. Nothing bad to say about her at all. Take her class!
Her weekend class was 4-5hrs but she made it interesting and fast. I enjoyed her lectures and real-life, practical STAT examples that related to my job and life. Simple requirements, clear and well-organized, professional professor. She is very kind and caring.
Professor Ngo is one of the best teachers I've ever had. I appreciated how much she cared about the class succeeding. The class is difficult, but most of the practice is in-class, where you can ask questions. Daily quizzes, which really help cement new information. Tests are multiple choice, if you've done the work sheet it will be much easier!
By far the worst math teacher I've ever had. To start with she has a really strong accent which makes it hard to understand her. Then when we had to switch to online because of covid she stopped teaching. She doesn't have internet at home so she didn't set up an online class. For the 2nd half online all she did was assign work with no teaching.
I was lucky to take her class this rough semester . I enjoyed her class, both in class and online - She gave big helps in & outside classroom. Her lecture notes and teaching guidance was very helpful. She taught seriously and was very responsive. Anyone who failed her class must have refused to work.
Grateful that ms Ngo made the remote transition very smooth and flexible w great understanding. I struggled w my personal life but kept connected and engaged w her instructions, I succeeded this course finally. I liked seeing her in class but then I also really liked studying her detailed notes & instructions -at home by my dog, enjoyed the sun.
Prof. Ngo gives out notes and the HW assignments are easy enough. She has us take quizzes on the sections covered, exams consist of chapters covered. Also she doesnt use a textbook so that means less money we have to spend. Also read all the rating carefully and see if you notice a similar pattern.
I enjoyed her teaching in class. she did a great job moving things on-line suddenly. I liked her well-explained and detailed online notes that made my at-home study actually a good experience. She helped STAT feel approachable again after years of being terrified of all math-related subjects. You need to get engaged with remote inst.
This is my first online math class. I appreciate ms NGO's dedicated work on the course design with clear tasks of each modules and her lecture materials w visible explanation. She is very interactive w frequent reminders, announcements and she is very responsive w emails.
The way class set up on line is very effective. At first I was anxious with online but I like it now. Her lectures are well prepared with very clear steps and instructions. Tests and quizzes are basic from the materials. Ms. Ngo send out emails, announcements, follow-ups regularly. She is very quick in responding emails.
I learned a lot of new concepts in this class. It is a big jump from Math D. Be better watch out! You need to work on math much harder, not even talking about online. The self study was a bit difficult but it was worth it in the end. Ms. Ngo's course materials and study guide organized and easy to follow. She was very responsive and helpful!
I like her study guides she prepared for the class. She is making Virtual Learning easier and very engaging with the homework and tests! One stop shop for everything. She is very responsive with emails. Tests and quizzes are straight from the study guides. I need to manage time for my studies .
Professor Ngo is amazing! She gives her own study guide material (no textbook :D ), which is super easy to learn from, with clear examples, and there are 2 short quizzes a week which makes it easier to focus on learning one concept at a time. She is always willing to help clear things up or answer questions. Seriously take her class, she rules!
I used to be terrified with stat always but it turned out a great semester with a great teacher. Ms. Ngo makes stat understandable and doable for me. She is online most of time and very quick responding to my questions. Her online class is simple and productive with her study guides and assignments. Of course, I to spent times and put efforts.
Her class is well planned, simply & flowing structured and student-oriented. She is very fast responding to my questions, emails, gradings, reminders and follow-ups. Highly recommended.
Ms. Ngo's class structured easily to follow and I quickly picked up the material and followed her instructions. I enjoyed how communicative and responsive she was. She was very student-oriented. You need TI 84 for her course.
Her study guides are fantastic in addition to the very supporting class atmosphere, and I am thankful for taking her class and how class is run, especially online during covid 19.
I took it online covid 19. She is fantastic professor: clear-steps study guides, reasonable assignments, very fast responses. you need TI 84 calculator and do your shares.
Her study guides and instructions are clear and easy to follow. I appreciate her frequent check-ins when I was off track or missed assignments. She set up class in a way to help students succeed as long as they're willing to work and engage with class. This class is online during pandemic.
I like her online class - the set up is very helpful and easy to follow structure and information. I do like the homework questions, practice tests and find they are VERY helpful. She is very fast replying my questions. Stat is not an easy subject and students need to spend time and efforts to succeed.
I am glad to take Ms. Ngo's class. I found her study guides very helpful as they were straight to the point, organized, and easy to follow. Her canvas instructions were very detailed & clear. She is very prompt to reply my questions, making online studies less stressful. I did spend time to read and practice her study guides.
Ms. Ngo is organized with the student expectations and syllabus and modules, grading, check-ins, etc. But most importantly I appreciate her encouragement and support of students, like in my situation - she keeps checking in on me when I was distracted many times during semester.
Great online class, I got two semesters with Ms. Ngo. I have truly never had such a positive experience from any math course. I could push for an A but I skipped some assignments due to personal problems. Anyway, I'm glad to take it with ms. Ngo, she truly cared and encouraged students.
Her online class is designed with clear instructions, easy to follow. Her study guides are extremely helpful with relevant concepts and applications. Her daily communication and follow-ups are gentle and encouraged. Be prepared that trig is not an easy subject, especially if you did not seriously have basic math courses.
The homework was optional and worth 0 points so your grade relys on how well you do on your quizzes disscusions and tests BUT she would use similar if not the same questions on the quizzes and tests, she also gives you hints to help. Her class had no lectures just study guides which were your notes for the week. You should for sure take her class!
Even though there is not any direct lecture of this professor actually teaching the material, all of the assignments are very clear an easy to understand and this proffessor always makes sure to check up on her students an remind them about work. Very flexible and understanding.
Her study guides were extremely helpful, that I feel confident in which I gained the skills I need for my future math courses. I wish I had found her course sooner. Still, better late than never.
Ms. Ngo genuinely cares about her students' success. She always checking up on students and always working hard to make sure we understand and can follow her on everything. There are lots of materials and work for trig. If you did not have prerequisite classes such as college algebra, etc., you might be overwhelmed.
It was very productive and fulfilling class . Class materials, instructions and assignments are easy to follow and complete. Excellent communication! Be sure to read her study guides carefully and do the homework + practice tests.
I liked her teaching style. She was very supporting students' learning. Very clear and frequent communication. She was very quick responding to students' questions or emails. I want to take more math classes with her but could not find her on the schedule since fall 21.
I enjoyed and learned a lot from her class after many years skipping school. She was very supporting and paying attention to her students (attendance matters, participation -> extra credits). Take it seriously and work hard in her class, you will definitely be fine.
She didn't require a text book, she has class notes she prints out and gives to everyone. That's a huge plus for me. It seems many people on this site like her but I found her accent difficult to understand. She calls on people randomly in class to ask questions and if you get it wrong, she acts like you're lazy and not paying attention.
She was very helpful and caring. I had to withdraw since I felt the course level was too advanced for me without any math. The reformed school system set up seems inadequate skipping basic math courses.
It was a good class. Quizzes & tests were in class and very doable. Some students struggled. It seemed they did not have or just a little prior maths and college skills to keep up. You need to prep for that situation as needed. Later chapters are more challenging. Ms. Ngo is supporting and approachable.
Like her teaching style. At the beginning of the semester, it was kind a slow with many students who were not ready for college math. Later on, the class was moving more swiftly.
In her Algebra class she was very aware that many of her students were not the strongest math students and she definitely acknowledged and worked to ensure their success. Hw in the class was light, it was usually 2-3 assignments on the Pearson application. Quizzes every week, but if you do the hw prior then you should be solid.
Very good class. Attendance and participation matter. Ensure to practice and get engaged with class activities or assignments. It's worth your efforts.
prof. Ngo has been very dedicated to teaching. I 've learned a lot in this course w/ her - all math from algebra up to calculus 2 & business models/apps. My efforts are paid off. Never missed her lectures. Excellent preps for the exams/final.
Prof. Ngo was very dedicated to her teaching. This Applied Calculus was so hard for me with just some algebras. She taught us Calculus! Very cool! I never missed a lecture and always on top of her reasonable assignments. She recognized our efforts.
Professor Ngo's class can be challenging, but engaging with the materials and attending regularly are key. unstuck ai and practice assignments on Pearson helped me prepare.
I've always been horrible at math to the point where I've failed almost every math test I've taken since hs. This is the first math class in years I've gotten an A in. Her lectures are easy to understand and she provides printed notes for every chapter. Allows notes for tests, not much hw, tests and quizzes often but provides hints. Very caring
An amazing semester and experience with Statistics. I felt I was math capable, critical & anaytical thinking . Prof, Ngo was always available, supportive and very encouraging. As a student, I did try my best to attend her lectures and participate in the class assignments. It paid off!
Professor Ngo is amazing!! She gives us a lot of homework but it doesn't take a will. There is a weekly quiz every week make sure to be in class. She is super nice and always seeing how you are doing in the class.
