Good instructor. Class is not was easy if you kept up with work.

Took her in 8-week course online and it's not really that hard if you keep up on the work in a timely manner but it was a bit time consuming. She was really helpful and approachable. Just make sure you REread and understand the book; her tests are very straightforward from the book. I made an A and I'm sure you can too.I highly recommend her!

The class is easy but only if you pay attention, take notes, and read the book. The teacher is very out going always smiling or seems like it. She is helpful so if any questions be sure to ask her. There maybe pop quizzes but don't be too worry and the work isn't complicated. Try to enjoy the class as much as possible and shares laughs and smiles.

This class is very easy, there is a quiz after every chapter. The quiz is made harder than the actual test and she does that on purpose so she's able to prepare you and for you to study what is needed. This class is very easy and very clear about grading.

Professor Coy does do A LOT of group assignments but they are all 100% useful and helpful! She also does a lot of quizzes but as long as you pay attention (meaning you don't even need to read) you should do good. She also very understanding and will work with you if you are having trouble turning in work or speeches.

Professor Coy is a professor that I dread when sitting in class. There was a lot of group activities and a few simple group projects. Overall, she is such a sweet person and attempts to get everyone involved. She tries to make each class different and fun which makes a student appreciate her classes more.

I hate speech and public speaking, Coy knows that people dislike it and only has a few speeches for you to do. Easy A, lots of small groups projects and it was easy to work with her. Not a high stressed level class and she's respectful to her students.

LOTS OF GRADES. Her lectures were great, her class was just a little too much for me. Not a very laid back professor, but still had amazing lectures and graded fairly. If you like candy (she gives out a lot of it), this is the class for you.

She's a solid choice, but she has a lot of assignments. It's almost as if she's teaching a high school class in a college class, which means a lot more busy work and group projects. The textbook is very important as well. Mrs. Coy herself is very nice, understanding, and always has a positive spirit.

I took her Mini Mester Hybrid. It was really fast pace. Overall not too bad. 2 test, 1 presentation, some in-class/online quizzes over the book so read the text, and hw assignment are online. There were some extra credit and great opportunities as well which helped my grade go up. Overall great professor. Would recommend her to anyone.

I am currently taking her 1311 class and it is a cake walk. A lot of work, but it is all extremely simple assignments. I am taking 16 hours at Lone Star right now so a lot of energy is be prioritized to other classes. With minimal effort I have a 97 in her class with a few weeks to go. Easy A. She's very caring!

She gives out a lot of busy work online. She takes forever to grade work and her instructions aren't clear and will tell you to look at samples that don't help. I had an A for a month and until she finally put in grades (on the last week before finals)that were due a month ago and got a b-. Shes really picky about what she wants which is annoying.

This was an easy class and anyone who disagrees is dead wrong. You really have to try to fail this class. If you turn in your assignments on time and your work is not sloppy then you will make a good grade. THERE IS A GROUP PROJECT! I had a very bad group, but she was flexible with me and I ended up getting a 98 on the assignment. Great professor!

Professor Coy is a really great teacher. She's not too tough but she's not too easy to where you don't learn anything. As long as you read the chapters, post on the discussions and reply correctly, take the quizzes (you get 3 attempts), and attend class you'll do fine. I had her hybrid class.

I took this class as a mini semester and Professor Coy was awesome! Sometimes her instructions can be a little hard to understand, but if you email her about it she will explain them. Also she is very understanding about any projects that she gives. Overall I loved this class it was great!

My favorite teacher of the semester. She gives you elementary school teacher vibes. Which is a good thing because all you have to do is participate and youll do fine. Giving a Speech & working on a group project can be overwhelming, but shes very helpful and nice to talk to. If you want to know your grade, u need to talk to her about it.

Took this class for a mini Mester and it was an easy A! There was an assignment due every other day, though the assignments were easy. Just because a professor is friendly does not give them an automatic 4 or 5 rating. This professor took months to grade my assignments and wouldnt respond to emails when I asked about when we would get our reflection paper grades back. I eventually had to ask in class after several months of hearing nothing and it turns out she forgot to grade them

The online class was very disorganized. Today is December 7, 2020, and I still have assignments from October that haven't been graded. She isn't super clear on expectations on assignments and defers HEAVILY to WebEx meetings. I work 60 hours a week and she only offers meetings twice a week. More explanation online would have been helpful

Really great prof who cares deeply for her students and is willing to work with them. Relatively easy to reach, has a family so is sometimes is busy. Has a lot of lectures and video in addition to reading chapters, chapter quizzes, 5 papers, group discussions, 1 group project, and 3 exams. Sounds like a lot, but not overwhelming and is pretty easy

Work is not hard, but there is so so so much work to do. She's heavy on deadlines but not great at keeping her end on the grading aspect. She overloads with videos and resources which you cannot skip through , more than 90% of her videos have terrible audio but you must "watch" them to take your chapter quiz. Overall easy class but annoying.

The course is interesting but the professor is very disorganized. We are more than half way done with a summer class but she has only graded two assignments so far. Everything else is blank, so no one has any idea how they are doing. She doesn't reply to emails. Maybe her in person class is better, but I recommend avoiding her online classes.

This subject has a lot of discussions and quizzes. There are 5 reflection papers and one final paper. It kind of demands a lot, but the topics were not that difficult and actually interesting. Reading the text helps. Prof. Coy is sweet and encourages everyone to participate and engage.

This prof was amazing. Although the course was discussion intensive, if you kept up with them and did the replies per rubric you will receive a 100. There were many quizzes, but with the chapter outlines she gives, it's super easy to answer the questions without reading the textbook. The tests are harder but few (2), 5 are free-response typically.

She's an okay professor. She is very sweet and kind, but does not put grades for the life of her. We have a month left of this semester and the only grades I have were the ones automatically done by the computer. Granted, I know she has a family at home, but it makes students worry about their average. Regardless, she's an OK teacher.

PROFESSOR: Very kind, very understanding, may take a while to grade work, very enthusiastic, not strict. COURSE: Amazing lectures, textbook is needed and is very interesting, easy weekly quizzes, only 2 exams (midterm and final), notes sheets allowed on exams, interesting in-class videos, 5 easy 500-800 word personal reflections.

Professor Coy was by far one of my favorite professors, she cares a lot and really takes her job seriously. Her confidence is at an all time high and I think you'll have a lot of fun in this class while learning a lot. You will have a very long project that entails a lot of pieces but other than that, the class is easy. Highly recommend!

Do not take this class if you want an easy grade for your degree. Yes, there isn't much homework, but there's three projects that are difficult to do if you are an online student. Too strict of rules for these projects that really brings the enjoyment down of the subject.

Mrs. Coy expects you to do work, however the work she gives is easy and pretty self-explanatory. You will need to buy the book or else you will not succeed. There are 5 (500-800 word) papers total, 2 tests, 12 quizzes and some perusal assignments, attendance is graded as well. She lets you try each quiz twice and tests you can bring a notes sheet.

If you come to class and participate you will pass. She's firm but fair overall it's a great experience. You will learn some great things that will be useful, she's setting you up for career opportunities
