good teacher... not a super easy class but it definitely wasnt hard. i reccomend him for lecture & lab (: oh & hes super cute!

Awesome teacher! he is really helpful and is always on your team. You really have to study for the exams. theres like 4 online quizzes that are easy you just read a chapter on this one book. This guy is hilarious and got my attention in class. I RECOMMEND!

A great teacher, loves the subject he teaches. Class is hard, but as it should be. Put the work into it and you will do well.

This teacher is tough so you do have to study This class is not for lazy people but if you study you will get a good grade

He gives you study guides with each lecture and you have to fill in the blanks. 3 major tests and an optional midterm. You do have to study to get a good grade.. as with most classes. If you do study receiving an A is not hard.

Great teacher! I love when it makes sense like his class. If you take notes and study them, you will have everything you need. No scavenger hunts for information.

Great Anatomy teacher, not easy. But I did suprisingly well once studied. I found him to be a little imtimidating. But I think it is just his hyped up ego since he knows so much. Course expectation r clear. They anatomy lab tests are tough: U study 30-50 terms then take a test in at end of class....I didnt do so well in the lab.overall good

If you read the chapter and print out the guide BEFORE CLASS, attend class and take notes you will do great. Prof. Gardner offers help when you need it. He will let you attend extra lab sessions if you ask and help in whatever way he can. He WANTS his students to succeed. If you don't succeed, it's your own fault with an instructor like Gardner!

SUMMER: This prof is really odd. His lectures are hard to keep up with, u need to study A LOT on ur own time or else you'll fail. lect exam on 8 chptrs. lab exam not so hard if you study. gives you a study guide, if its not in the study guide, u wont be tested on it (: (lecture) very hot and super intelligent knows his stuff.

Makes expectations and learning material very clear. Only have to refer to the book for pictures of the bones and muscles. Most of what you need to know for exams comes from lecture. As long as you do the work, study your notes, attend class, and ask questions if you don't understand (stay the whole lab period) you will do well! GREAT PROFESSOR!!

Outstanding professor! By now I should have a B.S. from VC I've taken so many classes there. T.G. is definitely one of the best I've ever had. He knows his stuff & teaches it really well. He is very clear on what he expects students to know for exams. Awesome study guides & matl in general. T.G. is super smart & funny and the class is a lot of fun!

I was scared to take anatomy but I ended up loving it and Ty is a GREAT teacher. I had to work hard to memorize stuff but that was expected.

took him for summer, very intimidating at first but very funny and sweet once you get to know him. He is a very intelligent man and YES he does know the material very well. Lecture May seem overwhelming, just study slides and you'll do fine on midterms. He's very helpful in lab. Don't be afraid to ask him questions. (:

Professor Gardner is an awesome and wonderful instructor. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the field. In addition, he is extremely helpful and in my opinion his class is too easy.

Ty is by far the best teacher that VC has to offer. He is tough, but willing to help whenever you need it, and it helps that he makes the subject interesting. He defintely knows his stuff. I wish he taught more science classes. I would defintely take his class again.

This class is super easy! He gives a study guide to fill along with his powerpoints and the test comes straight from the study guide. I never read the book and just study the study guides and you can ace every test. He has a good sense of humor too!

HE IS AN EXTREMELY AMAZING TEACHER!I recommend taking both his Lecture and Lab,he helped me out so much with both classes.He responds to e-mails quick so there is no excuses for not contacting him and trying to work something out. Im a student who does slack,sadly,but he certainly helps you raise your grade, and takes the time to work something out

I love Ty! An amzing teacher who is extremely funny!!! He made the labs fun and interesting. They were not easy but it really made you think. I would take another class with him again for sure! To pass the class you do have to study quite a bit, but its worth it. His humor is outrageous and I laughed out loud numerous times.

Ty is awesome! As long as you're motivated, you'll pass the class. Multiple extra credit opportunities and easy tests. If you're dreading taking bio like I was, take it with Ty. He makes it painless and fun. I'd take a class with him again in a heart beat!

I took this class online. It was such a bore. Other students say he is great in the classroom. He makes the online class really straight forward. He grades fairly and the class was pretty easy. Just super boring online. I had to force myself to get things done each week. Do the work and you will get an A. Oh, and I never touched the textbook.

Ty is a super cool guy, he is very helpful and his class is easy as long as you fill in the study guides and listen to lectures. Lectures online can be pretty boring, but he sometimes allows online students to is inclass lecture, and in there he is hilarious!! Don't buy the textbook because you don't use it.

He is one of the best teachers what you can find. Tells you exactly what you need to do to haven an A in his class. If you follow the instruction you will have an A. I took Bio and Anat with him. I didn't have to take the final I had 98%. You can do it to he is pretty easy if you do the work. Practice quizzes, study guides are provided.

LOVED his class. Ty is amazing with a sick sense of humor. I's only been a couple days and I already miss his class! Wish he taught physio, would take him again in a heartbeat

Easiness: Print out papers, fill in the blanks from PowerPoint. Online quizzes can be taken as many times as needed. Notes almost identical to those quizzes and in-class exams. Don't need textbook. Helpfulness: More than willing answer/explain questions you have. Lenient. Clarity: Clear as day. Interest: Very lively.

Notes are fill in the blank and you can get the answers online instead of going to lecture. do the practice quizzes a bunch of times and you will get an A on the exam. video recording lab is helpful. he is so nice, super helpful and makes learning the subject easy. wish he taught phys and micro!

Ty is a great teacher but his class is difficult. The material is not that difficult but every test is fill in the blank. He only gives bonus opportunities on the tests (only 1-3 questions per test ). You really only need the book for the answers to the bonus questions. If you put in the work and study time you will do well in this class.

This class is NOT easy whatsoever but I still recommend it to anyone who is actually interested in learning the material because this guy knows his stuff! I took his class online but he always responded to my questions right away. If you want a good grade you really have to put in the effort but his class is worth taking.

Amazing professor. He is very clear as to what he wants from you and tells you exactly what you need to pass his class. He gives you detailed study guides. Everything on his tests are from the study guide. He posts lectures online so you don't have to go to class. He is also very funny and makes class interesting. Wish he taught physiology.

I took his online class. I emailed him a couple of times being a jerk. He was very helpful. He open a couple of tests for me that I missed. He truly cares about his students. Best professor I've had at this college. Very fair. Exams are on campus.

Ty is a great professor! Took his online class & everything was straight forward. Easy A if you give it 100% and study!! Tests can be though tho. but he literally gives you the answers for the exams, quizzes. Gives you lots of chances to up your grade, (eg. practice quizzes & exams) You DONT need the book! Trust me, everything is on his lectures.

Great Instructor! Easy class. He assigns online Lecture Quizzes, Pre-Exam Quizzes , and small reading assignments . All test were super easy just doing the Pre-Exam and Lecture Quizzes multiple times will definitely get you a good grade. You don't even have to show up for class. I would take him again.

Ty is hands down, one of the best teachers I've ever had in my life. So thankful I was recommended to take him. Very passionate about anatomy, very clear grading criteria. If you pay attention, study hard, and memorize the criteria, you will pass with an A. I did. I wish Ty taught Physiology. I would take his class 30 times over again if I could

Gardner is a great teacher! I recommend him. His class is obviously a lot of work but its what you expect if you're going on a health related career. He's always there to answer questions and is great about office hours. You know exactly what to expect for every test. Plus he's got a great sense of humor and he's pretty hot!

Ty is so intelligent when it comes to the human body. clear about everything you need to do. tells you exactly what is going to be on the exams and what to study for. this class isnt easy if you dont study, of course its anatomy so much goes into it. IF you do study, the exams will be a piece of cake. HARD WORK PAYS OFF! this class flys bye!

Intelligent, inspirational, and funny, is how I would describe Ty. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, you will succeed in his class.

Ty is freakin' awesome. I was super nervous to take anatomy - I felt like I was out of my league but I worked day and night, ended up with an A. you have lecture twice a week and then a 3 hour lab once a week. DO NOT MISS LAB. EVER. There are two quizzes every lab class, just study and I promise you will get through it.

Great teacher! Goes out of his way to help and will explain the material if you do not get it! I thought I would fail but he made it much better for me and other students.

Such a great teacher! Took him during the summer Mon-Thurs 8am-3pm and I would do it all over again if he was the teacher. He's very organized in class and on D2L. 10/10 would recommend.

Took him for anatomy - he is an outstanding teacher - he really cares about his students and their success. He is extremely organized and provides tons of opportunities for practice and extra credit. His lectures are never boring. If you come to class and take advantage of the resources he provides (which is a TON), it's impossible to fail.

Took him for BIOLV01 LAB. Attendance is a must because there is a quiz at the begging of each class, he gives you what'll be on the quiz the class before. There is only 1 big assignment throughout the semester but it's super easy and he walks you through all of it, no big test & he drops your 2 lowest scores.

Very good professor. A lot of it is memorization and textbook isn't used unless it helps you. I didn't need it. Only hw is to watch videos and fill study guide papers. Tests and exams are exactly like the study packets. He gives extra credit and allows corrections. Very visual for lab and gives practice online quizzes which are very helpful.

If you are thinking about who to take for Anatomy. Professor Gardner is the guy!!!! You won't regret it. He is an awesome instructor. Anatomy is a lot of memorization so don't just expect to show up in pass. You have to put in from your part. He does power points and study guides which are so much help for the exams and final! He is very organized

I took Ty's online hybrid class. So most lectures and homework was online but we met up every Fri to discuss. I'm sure he's a GREAT teacher in class, but I would not recommend taking this online hybrid class unless you're ready to work for it. If you take the time, you'll get a good grade.

His online course includes many lectures. You will need to fill out packets and turn them in. We met every Friday and had group discussions & took mini tests occasionally. He lectures again on Fridays, but they are much more brief and very interesting. He's actually very funny and a down-to-earth guy. Bonus: you get to fill out crossword puzzles.

Ty is amazing. He is passionate about his lectures and gives you opportunities to get extra points (test corrections, bonus questions, after lab quiz, lecture work) do the study guides BEFORE class and work on quizzes as soon as possible bc they mirror the exams.

I took the online summer course, bio isn't an easy subject for me but the way the class was laid out made it easy to understand and study. There are about 2-3 hours of lecture that follows the study guide, it's very helpful. There's a few point extra credit ops on the test too. I highly recommend taking the class

Took Anatomy with Ty. Very difficult subject overall, but the tools you need are all given to you including study guides for every test. You WILL need to study outside of class. Weekly quizzes for lab make sure that you stay on top of your grade. Ty is helpful, knowledgeable and funny and I would take him again if he taught physiology.

Anatomy is a hard subject to learn. Ty made it easy and offered many resources to make sure we learned it. He offers online practice tests and study guides. He also has required crosswords that help with the short answers questions on tests. Lectures were never boring. He didn't take roll but it's important to show up.

Amazing Class! This class can be as hard or easy as you want it to be. If you put the time and effort you will ace the class. He's very smart and wants his students to succeed. Utilize his online practice quizzes because those helped alot!!!!

I 100% loved this class and I know that's because I got to take it with Ty. He is hilarious and super down to earth. He's also brilliant and knows Anatomy SO well. This class is not easy and will require effort - do the study guides and all the practice tests. Flash cards are your friends. Don't be afraid of the cadaver!

So knowledgeable in his subject. He gives you everything you need to succeed its just up to you to put in the hard work. Anatomy is a lot of memorizing but he gives you many outlets to practice on. Lectures are informative and hilarious because its TY. Allows test corrections so one can optimize points. One of the best professors on our campus.

Took his online class over the summer, which is only 4 weeks. I can not recommend this class enough if you need to take biology as a general ed. There is a little of busy work but not too bad. Everything open note. Great online course.

I took Ty's BIOV03 lab and I really enjoyed it. He's very upbeat, hilarious, and has a relaxed nature that makes him easily approachable. He is not a heavy lecturer, so I sometimes felt like I needed a little more instruction from him- but he is always willing to help walk you through experiments if they're unclear. Tests are easy. Ty is the guy!

Ty Gardner is the bees knees! I HIGHLY recommend this professor! I took him for Anatomy & Biology. His teaching method is meant for you to succeed! if you fail his class you must not have a brain he gives you everything to get an A. He's not socially awkward, never made me feel weird about asking questions & or ask for help!

Hes the BEST! Manageable work load, practice quizzes & tests that reflect the actual exams, test corrections, extra credit. Hes a truly great, engaging teacher. Never a boring minute, always in a good mood, easy going & ALWAYS willing to answer questions/help you. The way he does things takes the stress out of anatomy and I learned a ton!

Its anatomy so you need to be prepared for a jaw dropping amount of memorization. He is strick on correct spelling in lab. He is exam heavy but you will never be surprised by what is on the exams. His entired class is designed to give you an A as long as you put forth effort. Point back opportunities, extra credit and hard work I left with 103%.

Took him during summer 2020. Lectures weekly and study guides to fill out based on the lectures. Practice quizzes you can take as many times as you want. Discussions and tests. This class isn't hard, you can get the grade you want if you put effort into it.

Made biology easier to learn with the lectures

i took the 8w course and it was a bit overwhelming at times but with how straight forward all the notes, hw, tests, and quizzes were i was still able to get an A in the class and i didnt need to do the final exam. an 18w course, i think, would be an even better class. just keep up with all your work, study the terms perfectly & you would be good.

I loved this class and found it easy to get an A, however there's a lot of homework as its a 5 unit majors bio class. Professor Gardner is really helpful, understanding, and funny. Overall a great professor and the class is really organized. Late work is accepted and the assignments are not difficult at all. Definitely recommend this professor!

I'm only a week into my online summer class & I'm so enjoying Ty! He's casual, caring, & creative. The homework assignments Ty came up with are genuinely fun & fewer than I expected for only 4 weeks too, lectures are interesting & well paced, & he wants you to like bio. The extent to which you take notes will determine your grade: good notes A!

He's clearly very knowledgeable about biology. If you are confused about any concepts please ask him to elaborate or re-explain it! Super funny. Do not leave things till the last minute. He's always ready to help

By far one of the best Professors, all you have to do is show up for class and do the work! Put in the time to study and you will pass! Highly recommend.

Hes so understanding and usually always moves assignments up if no one does them because he knows we have a lot going on with our lives. Easy lecture quizzes and kinda of a lot of exams and practice exams.Def would take him again!

Lots of work, but it's never really that difficult. You can tell he cares a lot about the subject he's teaching and loves to share what he knows, so I would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for an engaging professor.

Summer 4 wk course easy just stay on top of the work and you'll pass lots of hw and lectures but overall easy tests and exams online quizzes during the lecture provides notes to print for each lecture he cares and is knowledgeable highly recommend

Ty was honestly such a great professor. I would definitely take another class with him again. he explains all assignments in such detail and its super easy to understand. he does respond back pretty quickly through emails and stuff too. there was quite a bit of work, but it wasnt difficult at all and easy to keep up with. he was nothing but kind :)

I took his class for summer school and those 4 weeks felt like it flew by very fast. The assignments were very easy but there are a lot of it so careful with that. Lectures and study guides were straight to the point for the quizzes as well. Great professor overall.

Professor TY keeps the class engaging with humor and relevant assignments. Lectures cover a lot, but studying with resources like unstuck ai helps me stay on top of the material. Overall, a rewarding bio class.

Out of all the classes ive taken, this one was my favorite. his class was very easy & as long as you fill out the study guide packets & follow along with the online lectures, all of the answers on the quizzes are from the study guide packets. he was super kind and very understanding. the material was clear and straightforward! just stay consistent

Easiest 4-week summer course to get an A as long as you put in the work. Lots of quizzes (5 Qs embedded in lectures, optional practice quizzes, graded practice exam, graded final exam) and journal entries. But it's all super easy! Practice exam is just like the final exam. No final. Tip: Fill out the study guide, it's literally an answer sheet!

He is a very nice and helpful professor who explains lectures clearly and answers questions patiently. There are 4 lecture exams and 2 lab exams, all based only on lecture and lab slides. Practice quizzes and Canvas PPTs help a lot. Many extra credits can raise grades. No lecture attendance required. Labs have quizzes at the start and end.
