He was my favorite teacher! He is so funny and very helpful. He is always e-mailing me the same day I e-mail him. I would take his class again.

Oswald is an excellent teacher. He explains everything very clearly and then gives you class time to complete 90% of your total class work. If I were you, I'd take this class. It's super easy and you learn a ton!

There is some sort of paper due at the beginning of every class period, but it's all based on completion. I really liked brother Oswald he is more concerned about how well you right than what you write. Really great class invironment and really focuses on each individual.

He cares for his students and is always willing to meet up to help. You only write one paper in his class and keep submitting it every week until you get an A. Once you get an A on the paper you don't have to show up to class anymore. His final is curved to an 80% as the highest grade and anything you get above 80% is extra credit.

Stop looking for another English teacher and take him. He is the best and super hot too haha. All our assignments go into a big 12 paper essay that is due at the end of the semester. If you don't do well on this paper, no worries. You can turn it in again and again until you're happy. Also, you can tell that he really cares about every student.

At the beginning of the semester, the organization was iffy, but Brother Oswald was totally willing to cut everyone slack because of that and he really listened to input from the class. Loved the class. I hated the papers. Very helpful and willing to listen to any concerns. Read 14 novels and 100 picture books. This class opened my eyes to what goes into picture books. Midterm was to read to preschool kids, the final was to make a picture book text is given. You have free rain on what you do with the text just follow the guidlines

The papers he assigns are not very straight forward, and he could use a little more organization, but he grades easily so it doesn't matter. His class was one of the only classes I looked forward to. In-class activities were enjoyable, and I learned a lot.

The course is pretty laid out for you. There are a few major assignments and then a lot of pointless ones. Make sure you do the pointless ones, because even though they don't look like they're affecting your grade - at the end they do. Communicate with him what you're feeling and he'll be sure to help you. Really good listener.

There's only one long essay that you work on in sections through out the semester. But I and a large number of students failed every portion. Beware this class. Great teacher, but you'll need a lot of help to make the grade.

I have taken multiple classes with Bro. Oswald and enjoyed all of them. With Eng 355, it's a lot of reading (100 picture books and 14 novels). The class can get a little overwhelming but talk to him. He's helpful, willing to compromise, and loves feedback. Reading is essential to passing, but offers books with great insights and class discussions!

I took Brother Oswald's Children's Lit class because I loved his ENG101 class. He's by far my favorite teacher, and he designs his classes to make you think about the subject as well as your approach to learning and life in general; he doesn't expect you to have his same opinions, either. I'm a better person for having had him as a teacher.

I took his Children's Lit class and enjoyed every class period. This course requires a lot of reading. I recommend you use the reading schedule he created, it really does help you stay on top of things. He has a way of bonding with the class that makes the course so much more enjoyable. My favorite project was creating picture books! Fun instructor

Brother Oswald is an AMAZING teacher! The class is a lot of work though. Every week you will either write or edit an essay. For the first part of the semester the essays are given full points on if it is completed, and the points for content come the second half. Though their is a lot of work it doesn't feel like it. The only thing is that he NEVER responds to emails. I emailed him like 4 times during the semester and not once ever got a response back.

Awesome teacher. Really spiritual and funny, he assigns a lot of papers in the last half of the semester but the first half was pretty easy. If you work hard then you will learn a lot and do really well. He assigned two little textbooks and one novel, if you get them from thrift-books they're super cheap. easy grader, he let us grade our own finals

If you want to learn how to write, take your English classes with Brother Oswald. The way we learned was so different than any other English class I've had. Our papers were like our babies because we didn't just write them and moved on. We improved our paper over time and you really felt like you achieved and learned something by the end of it all.

There are few teachers who've changed my life - and Oswald is one of them. He is passionate about what he teaches about, and its infectious. He shares a love of reading and of writing, and believes whole-heartedly in his students. Incredible teacher. Just incredible.
