Ty is a great teacher. He will stay ALL night long making sure each person understands the material if needed. The magic tricks are an awesome pick me up for those late night classes. I have taken nearly ALL of his classes, and would recommend him to anyone.

An outstanding human being and professor. He has not forgotten what it is like to be a student. He takes a deep subject in an evening class and makes it so interesting you keep coming back for more. TOTALLY there for his students - however many questions you have or time it takes. Tests are challenging but fair. Take as many classes as u can

This man is a great example of what Drury University stands for. What a caring, sincere professor. If you are unclear, he will do everything including stand on his head to make it clear. Literally. He keeps the subject matter interesting and keeps you awake at 11:00 p.m. for those late night classes. He is an A professor. Highly recommended!!

Best teacher at Drury!

Don't bother to buy the text book. It's a waste of money. Just take good notes and You'll do fine on the exams. He talks slow enough that you can copy down word for word definations that he wants you to know. Super Funny and tells sex jokes a lot in class! Loves to throw marker that don't work around the room in class too. I love this professor! =)

This teacher is a teacher that cares for his students. You don't need a book, just take close notes, and the test will be easy. Super funny, talks about his good old past alot, and will perform tricks when the class is board to death of notes. This is a teacher that you can not ignore to not take.

I learned so much in this class. I was never bored with his lectures and magic tricks. We never used the book. We did take a lot of notes and his tests were identical to the notes he gives. I highly recommend Ty.

Tyra is an excellent educator. He is disillusioned with the idea that increasing workload makes the students learn more material. If a teacher can cause his/her students to learn the same amount of information with a lower workload, that is a success on the teachers part. Tyra manifests this principle in his courses.

Ty Pierce was an excellent professor. As a returning adult student his classes were a perfect fit. He has mastered condensing material, and work load, while still presenting all relevant information. His classes are structured perfectly for the CCPS program, where life may not allow for unnecessary busy work.

He teaches the class on a level that everyone can understand regardless of your level of understanding. He is very open with his students which allows them to feel more comfortable with his teaching style. He never hesitates to assist you if you need help.

Mr. Pierce leads his class in a professional and fun way. He teaches with immense clarity and ensures that the students understand the subject. If one takes his class and is willing to learn, then one will definitely pass. However, if one assumes they can skip all of his classes and expect an easy A, then they are better off just staying at home.

Taking another semester with Ty, haven't met anyone who doesn't love him. Drury should be really proud to have this teacher, he's legit.

Great Professor he defiantly put out the information clear and concise he put out all the necessary information that is needed. He defiantly kept the attention of a the class with his sense of humor and magic he presented to the class. GREAT PROFESSOR!

Professor Pierce was an amazing instructor who kept the lectures lively, easy to follow and remember, and he made it fun to learn. Ty was very caring and invited students to ask questions, contact him via email or phone. If there were any problems or if we just had a personal issue we wanted to talk over with him, we were encouraged to do so.

This is such an easy and fun class - there is no homework and the tests are multiple choice and not at all difficult. He is more concerned that you find the material interesting than that you do a lot of work, so if you show up you can earn an A. He cares about his students and does a lot of magic tricks!!

His lectures are informative and interesting and he consistently makes real word connections. He emphasizes what a liberal arts education means to me and he proves why I chose Drury. When I enrolled for my classes, my adviser told me "oh everyone loves him!". She was correct. I have taken 2 courses with Mr. Pierce and I have already enrolled into another course primarily because he is teaching it!

Ty Pierce goes the extra mile to make sure that his students understand the content, and makes getting from point A to B a memorable experience. He required much less homework than most, but because of his ability to actively teach the topic (rather than just having students read about it), I learned more in his class than any I have taken before.

This class has been by far my favorite class so far in my college years. I wished it would have all been seated throughout the summer. Not only did he make sure we understood the material that was being taught, but gave detailed/life relating examples so we could take the most advantage of what was being taught. Super fun class! All you have to do is show up, take notes (he literally tells you what to write down for the test), and then every few weeks take a 30ish question test! He makes the class interesting and keeps you focused during his lectures!!

Unlike other Drury professors who do it for the money, Mr. Pierce does it to TEACH, and prepare us for the road ahead. He teaches in a way where the students can certainly understand and relate to real life situations. He cares for his students and he is very humble. While his class content was not the best, because it was Behavioral Research Methods, he does his best to deliver it in the most entertaining way possible.

I tend to zone out during lectures so I was a bit nervous about his lecture heavy lessons but ended up enjoying them very much.
