She's very helpful, and explains everything with examples, which is a good way to help students understand the text. However, her tests aren't so easy!

I dont usually leave comments, but she really was a good teacher. I harsh failed her class but if you pay attention and ask questions she definately helps. Her class and her tests are hard as hell. Recommended for people that REALLY want to learn.

i like the overheads/notes for the day since you can just print it off the web..she's pretty easy to talk to..finals exams are hard..but overall i'd say she's good.

Greatest teacher you can ever ever have. I attend every class and got an A+ (97%) overall. If you attend class and copy notes, ALL of her exam questions are STRAIGHTLY from her class notes! If you understand class material, you don't even need to open text book to get A+.

awesome teacher. posts up her overheads so you can work through them, because she goes over them the next day. really easy, just pay attention in class and take notes, and you'll do awesome.

Good teacher, very approachable. Gave useful review materials before exams and tries to make class material interesting (which is not an easy feat, since it's math!). Sometimes makes mistakes calculating problems on overheads which can be confusing, but she usually corrects herself promptly. Overall, I would take another class with her!

Definately take her. She is a great teacher. She is approachable and goes out of her way to help students. She gives us outlines of her overheads so we don't have to write as much. She tries to make the class interesting and gives us activities to help us relate stats to the real world. Test questions are similar to the lectures.

She is very clear and helpful and the tests are easy if you study your overhead notes and do some practice questions. Everything on the tests are right from the notes pretty much and for the final you get one page front and back to write whatever you want on it. You will be lost if you dont go to every class though.

Very friendly to her students.. Notes and hws r very useful for her tests.. even if u study the notes and hws only.. u will still get a good grade for ur tests.. I didn't buy the text.. and I still got an A+..

Nice clear instructions. You have to be willing to practise the concepts. Once you know the basics, the rest just falls into place. Willing to help with questions and responds through email super fast.

Even though I failed the first time taking stats with her, It was completely my fault. I never came to class etc.. the second time around I did very well, thanks to her! She is very energetic, happy to help and always available for her students.. I wish she taught more than stats and busi math!

Urieke is a fantastic instructor. She is possibly the nicest person I have ever met. She is VERY helpful and was always available to answer questions. The tests are right out of her notes and she explains things well. She makes the class fun. I highly recommend this instructor!

Ulrieke is one of greatest profs at kwantlen, i was taking stats the second time, and Ulrieke helped out alot, just attend classes and review her notes and u can easily get an B, her exams are straight from her hwk assignments,which are really really easy if u follow up with ur hwk

She is a great prof who enjoys statistics. Questions on midterm and final are clear. Basically if you attend class, do the assignments, you have no reason not to do well in her class.

If you want to get a good mark in Stats, and enjoy the course too, then Ulrieke should be your prof. Just make sure you attend class and do the work. That's all.

Ulrieke is one of the best propessors at kwantlen, she is really helpful and explains the material realy well, i was taking stats the second time, Ulrieke made the class soo exciting and her marking is fair, if you want to pass stats with good mark i would recommend that you take it with Ulrieke

I made sure I took stats with her after taking Business Math. She is excellent and will give you all the help you need...IF you ask.

If you have trouble with math concepts (in general), definitely try to get Ulrieke as a teacher. She is very clear, concise, and has a warm, respective attitude towards her students.

Birner's awesome!!! definetly recommend her! her notes are easy to understand and her examples are helpful and she's always willing to help you! we got weekly assignments that were really easy, only 2 or 3 questions and the exams were pretty easy as well!!

Ulrieke is a fantastic teacher. Her notes are awesome and you barely use the textbook. She is very good at explaining complicated topics. This is my second time taking Stats and it was really night and day the second time around. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND. She is the best. Just attend class, study your notes and do the homework and you'll be golden!

Ulrieke is an amazing teacher. She is extremely friendly and helpful. She won't leave anyone behind in class and wont move on until what she is teaching is clearly understood. Ulrieke supplies students with well written on topic notes that has helped me so much in my course. The only tough part of her course is the multiple choice on exams.

Her notes are really clear and since it was an online course, you need to be constantly practicing because the terminology and the calculator use it's confusing but she is always willing to help you. I highly recommend you to take her class :)

She's very nice and approachable. If you attend every class and practise your homework it's very easy to succeed. I've heard she's one of the best stats teachers, has a background in psychology so understands how to teach something difficult. I would only suggest she proof read some of her notes (not a big deal).

Hands down the BEST teacher. I suck at math & all I did was show up to class & pay attention. Her notes are crystal clear so dont bother buying the textbook. But you will need it for hw, either go to the library & do it there or share a book with a few ppl in class. Her finals are super easy, just study off her notes and you will ace the exams.

She already has the course content organized for you in the class notes. Just practice the notes and you'll be fine. It's a shame she doesn't teach more courses. Her stats course isn't difficult. Again, just practice the notes.

She's the best! It's that simple. Do yourself right and enrol in her courses if you can. Other instructors ought to mimic her methods. Business Stats is a tough class but her course structure helps to understand. A lot of practice required but it's just practicing the class notes. I wish she taught more courses.

Amazing instructor. I would love to take her again. I took her online classes for buqu 1130 & 1230. She's the best, easy A's. Take her, you will learn a lot, and she's always there to help. She gave me an extra practice book to study for the final for stats. Take my word, and you won't regret it.

I was skeptical about taking an online statistics course at first, but I gave it a shot. Ms. Birner is 100% the best teacher I have EVER had. Her word document notes are clear, she responds within an hour, and you know EXACTLY what to expect on tests. I wish she taught every class at Kwantlen. Take. A. Class. With. Her. Her class notes are very detailed and are clearly laid out, but the formatting is messy. The textbook is only necessary to do homework assignments. Tests have questions very similar to homework assignments with no surprises.

Ulrieke is an amazing professor. She is so kind and patient. I have messaged her at on many weekends when I'm stuck on a question and she will promptly get back usually within a few hours. Absolutely amazing professor! She is incredibly helpful, gives almost instant feedback to midterms, finals, email, and homework (had midterm marked and given back within 24 hours and usually responds within an hour or two to emails). I've had her 3x and she's been amazing every time!

One of the best profs at KPU. I took her online class. Everything was clearly laid out. Homework is marked for completion only. She always responds within a few hours even on weekends, and will help you if you need it. Professor Birner is an amazing prof. Her Midterms and Final are exactly like the examples gone over in class and the questions assigned for homework. If you show up to class and do your homework it's almost impossible to get anything lower than a "B."

Ulrieke is the best & not to mention the most caring professor I have come across. Her notes are easy to understand, the only time youll need the textbook is for the assignment questions. Ulrieke answers emails quickly and is so kind I look forward to her emails. Rare for a uni professor. Take her!

She writes her own lecture notes so you don't need the text (and she gives info for old version of text if you decide you want the text). Ulrieke is a great prof. Her way of teaching makes the material so much easier. You get to use a cheatsheet for midterm/exam. Assignments/Reflection L are easy marks weigh 15% & midterms are 15% to so its easy to bring up mark if u didn't do well on midterm. Assignments are taken as participation marks. Best prof to take for Business Stats. She provides all the notes needed for each chapter and gives many examples so that you can practice as well as the previous semesters midterms to practice with as well. There are 6 assignments, 2 midterms and a final. She allows cheat sheets for all 3! Class is easy if you study the material. Super nice prof

One of my favourite professors from my undergrad so far. Caring professor who is chill and very approachable. You would be making a mistake not taking her for the class you are considering, cant recommend her more. My class was online but the documents you read for learning are great and very easy to understand. I wish she taught all of my classes

Her course notes are very well written and easy to understand. Assignments are graded on completion and not on accuracy so easy 100% with those if you complete and submit them before due date. She explains what is going to be on tests/exams really well.

She is a great professor. She has really great specific and interactive slides. She is very easy to communicate with and is very straight forward with what she expects out of you. I really liked her for BUQU1130 and am taking her again for buqu1230. I would highly recommend her especially if math isn't your thing.

This is my hands-down favourite instructor at KPU. I'm terrible at math, and never passed with higher than 49%. I've taken Ulrieke for business math, as well as business stats and gotten 70% in both. She gives you so many chances to earn bonus marks, so even if you don't do well on the exams, you still have a chance of passing. Highly recommend.

As someone who was nervous to take business stats Ulrieke was the best teacher I could have picked. Took the class online and her lecture notes are so well worded and made. Theres assignments every week but they helped me to learn the material. Every-time I had a question and emailed her she replied back to me straight away even on weekends.
