This was Professor Gazeau's first semester teaching, but I would have never guessed if he didn't mention it! His lectures followed along with downloadable Powerpoints. Additionally, he would show us examples with the lectures. Assignments were fun and helped a lot with learning the content. He gave very good test reviews and was super nice!

Mr. Gazeau is an amazing processor and its hard to believe he has only been teaching for a couple of semesters. He he a younger guy so he really understands how to teach us so we stay focused and interested, there is so much to earn from him and he will go out of his way to make sure you understand every single topic possible.

I knew NOTHING about programming so I was walking into this class blind. Valentin is super chill, really nice and always willing to help. He put up with my incessant emails asking for help and was willing to meet me on campus after class was moved to online-only. Cannot recommend him enough!!

Mr. Gazeau is an excellent instructor if you're going to take COSC 1436 at SHSU. He knows how to easily relay the slides in an easy-to-understand manner, and he's always great to listen to. He always gives advice with the lab assignments too, so you're never out of luck when it comes to those.

Very knowledgeable about various programming languages and very down to earth. Gives lots of examples and helps us out whenever we need help with the programming assignments. He likes to teach us useful things that will make our programming easier so it is well worth coming to class.

Mr. V is an excellent teacher who is knowledgeable and approachable. He explain concepts clearly and make learning engaging. I appreciate his dedication to helping students succeed and his willingness to answer questions. I would highly recommend him to other students.

Mr. V is honestly one of the best professors, I took intro to network with him, and it was a lot of fun. Lectures were digestible and assignments were very on topic and felt like I was learning by doing rather than death by lecture. We had a discord server, and he always responded in it when we asked. 2 exams and a handful of cool homeworks.

He is maybe the best professor I had at SHSU. Very friendly and kind. He makes the lecture easy to understand. Gives perfect exam reviews before the test, if you study enough you can easily get an A.

Mr. Gazeau makes the subjects easy to understand with his captivating and lucid presentations.Since the majority of the content given in class is used for the tests, they are not very challenging, and success is fairly possible with consistent study. I highly recommend!

This class is super straightforward. The tests are easy if you study, and they are also partly based on a handful of cahoots. Attendance isn't mandatory, but the class is easier if you show up. The lectures are easy to understand, and he ensures everyone is in the same place during the lecture. I definitely would take this class again.

Fun class, definitely learned a lot. The tests were moderately easy because the professor gives out study guides which helped a lot in consolidation which information to focus studying efforts on.

I have had this professor 2 times and I can defiantly say he is one of the best. He will listen to questions give extra credit sometimes. You will always be prepared for tests and exams. Really laid back and funny and easy to understand.

This professor presents the material in an easy and understandable way. I took the Intro To Computer Networking class and studying for the tests was made easy as he provided Quizlets with all of the possible questions for the multiple choice portions. I would definitely take this class again.

I wish every professor at SHSU brought his energy and passion to class. It's refreshing to have a younger guy like him with so much merit lecture a class. You will always learn something new from him that goes beyond the text book. Everything I learned in his class just stuck. I've never scored higher in a COSC course.

Very nice professor, if you are confused on concepts he gives you all the resources you need and you can talk to him about it. He knows how to explain concepts to a younger audience. Also exams are fairly easy with multiple choice and short response questions. If you have a small understanding of networking coming in you should be able to ace it.

He's the greatest professor I had for this course, and I would highly recommend taking him if you want to understand this course. The reviews were easier to study for tests, and the assignments were also the easiest to work on. If you have any issues or curiosities, he is the most helpful with answering them to the best of his abilities.

Mr.V was a good professor. He lectured heavily on the important information you can apply to your future courses. Leaving no stone unturned, he gave the class plenty of opportunities, to ask questions, etc. Kahoots play a major role in your success on the exams, so be sure to study those, basic comparisons, & definitions. The professor made things easy to understand, set clear expectations for every assignment and exam, and it was overall a very stress-free experience! Take a few notes, check PowerPoints for topics you don't understand, study with the shared materials and you'll do great.

Professor V. Gazeau was great at explaining Java concepts, from fundamental principles to more intricate topics, with exceptional clarity. He presents the material in a way that makes it accessible to everyone, regardless of the experience you have in programming.

As someone with no background in programming, I was able to grasp concepts easily through Professor Gazeau lectures. He always answered questions and made time outside of class to assist students with labs and assignments. After each lecture he does practice programming scenarios which I feel helped me the most when it came to preparing for exams.

He is an incredible professor, unlike other professors he genuinely listens to you and tries to understand any problems. He has an ability to break down problems that allowed me to understand almost every topic that was discussed. Overall an amazing professor.

This was the greatest teacher ever. He always explained things well and read people well so if he saw someone didn't understand it he'd explain it in a totally different way that would help that person understand. He is very cool and able to connect with his students and loves to see student's faces when it clicks in their mind.

Mr.V is AMAZING! He makes hard concepts easier to understand and he is also very chill! He will make sure you know the material without their being a overload of work. We have lecture twice a week, One lab due a week and in the beginning like 3 video quizzes due (per department chair) but very easy class to understand , HIGHLY RECOMMEND
