Very helpful! When I didn't understand a concept, she personally tutored me. She always available for questions and she give very little if any homework.

Awesome. Two thumbs up. She goes a bit fast, but she'll spend extra time with you until you get it right. Plus, she provides all the formulas and stuff on tests.

Great teacher, realy helped me understand chemistry
She is a great teacher and helps alot. Curves the grade drops tests and home work scores. Impossible not to pass take her lab to just as easy
Great teacher, wiling to help and well prepared. Great for lecture and lab. Gives you plenty of time to do work and the tools to get it done. Accent is there, but not disruptive in any way as described in other guys post.
Her class was very easy to pass, she's a good teacher.
She was a very nice person. A little hard to understand in lecture because of her accent but she is very willing to stay after and tutor you to make sure you get it. I wasn't particularly interested in this class, so I didn't get a whole lot out of it, but she's a very caring teacher who wants to see her students succeed.
hard to understand her accent, but a very good, kind, and understanding teacher
She really wants you to succeed. She is very fair and helpful. I have not had Chemistry ever before and got an A+ in Lab.
SHE WAS EXPLAINING THE CLASS AND MOST OF THE TIME, SHE CONFUSAS TO SAYING, "FORGETTING ABOUT THIS, LETS CONCENTRATE IN THIS OTHER POINT", AND WE WERE IN SHOCK,
She is nice enough most of the time. Sassy and frustrating at others. She gives smart remarks in response to solid questions. Try not to laugh when she talks about global warming. Expert at fake science. Needs to try teaching chemistry that's on the tests. Not very informative about grades or how she can help. Not as hot as her rating says.
If you need someone willing to help you with anything then she is the teacher for you. She takes a lot of time outside of class to help and always gives enough "heads up" before exams or quizes. Go Tina.
Her class is a joke. She doesn't teach anything. The only reason anyone passes is cause she addes a letter grade to every test because everyone did so bad. You can't understand a word she says and when you ask a question she takes offensive. Worst prof ever. avoid at all cost
Although I got an A in her class it was a very difficult and strenuous experience. She is very nice and tries to help you, but you cannot understand what she is saying with her heavy accent, and she makes a lot of mistakes when she speaks. I was so confused I spent hours at a time reading the book to figure it all out. I will not take her again.
I worked my butt of and may not have an A. Very nice personality.
Prof. Nedelkova is one of the most helpful professors I have ever had in chemistry. She is usually willing to help you out during her office hours. She still helps me out even though I'm not in her class anymore. Ill recommend her to teach other students. Just wish she taught CHM152.
Prof Nedelkova is really nice and helpful, but her accent is so thick I can't tell if she is talking about sulFITE or sulFIDE. She is always willing to help out, but her class is so strenuous and she demands so much. In addition to the lab assignment she makes you do a pre and a post lab. There is a lot of homework involved and she talks too fast.
Great prof! She is very helpful when you have questions or don't understand a concept. Exams are a piece of cake as she gives you an practice exam before each exam. Study the material and concepts on the practice exam and you can get an A in the class no problem!!
Very kind and caring teacher. She moves a little fast, but the class has tons of info. to get thru. No h/w assignments. Always test reviews. Do ur pre-reading & a fair amount of studying & u'll be fine. Only minus is the accent, but after a few weeks to get used to it I hardly noticed it anymore.
I loved her! She tried to make learning fun. This class has tough information to get through, but she really tried to help everyone understand. If you take the time you can definately get an A. Just remember that this is college and you need to study! Would recommend her to anyone.
Great Teacher, makes the lab easy and works with you if you need help. Accent kinda of strong but you will get used to it.
i hate this teacher beyond belief.. no matter how much i studdy i still am not passing i have 66 right now and 28 people are below my grade and 20 are above it.. only quiz and tests for grades so even if understand but do bad on tests you fail.lab i have a 92 though..i cant believe i lost 225 dollars to her her teaching stratagy suck. do not take
She is a very nice person but her teaching methods are sooo incomprehensible. she hates teaching the math part of chemistry which is the majority! she does not give the time in class to ask questions, ever! Her tests are super hard and her study guides are not helpful whatsoever. overall nice woman terrible teacher
She is a straight forward teacher nice, but doesn't really open up to class all chem work. Accent throws you off a bit, but over all a good teacher.
horrible way of presenting matierial
I loved professor Nedelkova and didn't find her accent to be hard to understand at all. She goes through a lot of examples and as long as you study you'll get a good grade.
She was a good teacher, but she didn't give any mandatory homework. This could be bad if you aren't motivated to do the practice problems as the only grades in the class are tests and quizes. Overall I would definitely recommend her to anyone, very fun and caring teacher =)
I had Tina for chem 151 lab and she was great. She gives you study guides for all of the major lab quizzes. Take some time to study those practice quizzes and you will be fine. She is very kind and helpful whenever you have any questions in lab. She is very fair and I would recommend her for sure.
A decent teacher, but kind of hard to understand at times. Also, she writes tiny. >..>
Just had her for lab but she was very cool. Great sense of humor and kept the lecture interesting. Explained things well. Easily recommended.
Had her for both lecture and lab. Grades on a curve so it isn't extremely difficult to get an A. Posts practice quizzes and exams online that help a lot before each test. Isn't always clear during lecture but focuses on a lot of practice problems throughout lectures and posts her powerpoint presentations online for review. Overall, pretty easy.
She is a little hard to understand. Teaches at a fast past willing to help via tutoring hours.
RUN! She is impossable to follow, she just rambles and rambles. If you ask her to explain something better, she just repeats the same nonsense she already said. I have a 4.0, never had a problem, I worked my *** off in her class, just barely made an A, and only because I had a good lab teacher. Save your money and time, pick another teacher.
terrible teacher. quizzes and exams are definitely not what she teaches. she waited to the very end of class to teach us things, and had no review. dont waste your time. only thing I can say I can take away from her is the study guide problems which half the time were wrong. dont take her period.
Very nice lady, always willing to help you out, and I didn't have a hard time understanding her accent. But she moves through lectures quickly and the tests are not easy. You only get graded on tests and quizzes. 151 covers too many topics for one class.
She is very helpful, but sometimes does not explain things very clearly. She is willing to respond to emails within 24 to 48 hours. There is plenty of time to study in between quizzes and exams. A lot of algebra is involved in this class. Be prepared. But overall, she tries to make this class enjoyable.
The lab is difficult, but that's mostly the lab manuals fault. She could do a better job explaining things and maybe go a little slower when she does, but overall if you attend the class and follow instructions she helps walk you through the rest and it is not terribly difficult to receive a B or higher in the class.
Very helpful when needed. Hard to understand sometimes with accent but really nice and will help you through the labs :)
Dont take her unless you have super powers. The work she gives is un-relatable to what is in the book and most tutor's where unable to help with the problems she assigned us. She is very smart and knowledgable but unreasonable. She takes a hard subject and makes it impossible to understand. This instructor took all the fun out of the challenge.
Professor Nedelkova was one of the hardest teachers I have ever had. I received a C in the class even though I worked my butt off studying for exams. Her accent is also very heavy so be prepared! However, she is a very nice lady, just an extremely hard class.
Tina is a lovely person. She is kind and funny, but the material is very difficult: She didn't use the textbook much, her teaching style isn't organized, she's too smart. Tends to go off on tangents and when she sees the class is lost, she talks louder and faster. Accent no problem. Best part- practice quizzes are EXACTLY like quizzes
She was hard to understand but as long as you work out the practice exams, her test are easy.Don't miss any class time because after 2 absents, she can drop you.She is a very nice teacher and will help you if you go to her office hours and study sessions.
Nedelkova is a really nice lady, but I had no idea what was going on in class 80% of the time. She could have explained things way better, but its up to you to fill in the gaps. Do the practice quizes because they are exactly like the real ones. Each quiz is worth 50 points so study hard! One or two small mistakes could destroy your grade.
Anyone that says Nedelkova isn't a good teacher is totally wrong! She's awesome and is more than fair when it comes to tests and quizzes. She does everything to make them straightforward even gives practice ones with answer keys that almost identical to the real thing. She is very forgiving about late work too. Lab is SO easy. Got an A, fun class.
Nedelkova great prof. She cares about students and wants you to learn the material and do well. Practice tests that are very lose to the real ones, xtra credit assignment at end of semester. She does a 1 hour tutor session per week, which is very helpful. Just the practice problems 3 or 4 times each and you don't need to do anymore studying.
Very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. Some people find her accent difficult to understand. Quizzes were challenging, but not too hard if you prepped for the lab by reading the assignment and the book and doing the lab pre-work.
Chemistry is a very hard subject in general, and she did not make it any easier. My biggest complaint was that when I asked her a question of what she just lectured on she would repeat herself over. Obviously I didn't' get the way you explained it the first time, try teaching or purposing it to me in a different way. 24 people started 10 ended
I talk in detail about how she answered literally 2 out of 15 of the questions I asked throughout the semester, her totally inconsistent grading, her incredible lack of professionalism, or her lack of mastery of the material, but at the end of the day she was basically a horrible professor so I'll just say that.
If you are a moron don't take Ms. Nedelkova. I read the reviews on here about her before taking her class and was very hesitant. However, it was a great decision. She is not tough but she expects you to be intelligent enough to have made it to OChem. She doesn't spoon feed you the information she TEACHES it. You will actually learn in her class.
Jumps around lecture, adds unnecessary content, confusing. Practice in class but goes so fast you either have to pay attention&sacrifice notes, or copy notes & miss the details that are crucial. Moves on immediately-no time to absorb info. HW counts but don't know if it's right because you submit with the test, EC avail, curves. Tough lab too
Going to her study sessions were extremely helpful. Ask her questions if you are confused. Offers lots of points. Your lowest test grade will be replaced by your overall HW grade. You need to study for this class but overall it was not that difficult. She tells you exactly what you need to know for tests.
Professor Nedelkova is a great professor. SHe clearly outlines what you need to know for each exam. THere are practice test posted and she goes over problems many times. She does go fast sometimes so you just have to ask her to slow down and repeat sometimes. Her accent took some getting used to. She is available to help when she is available.
Prof. Nedelkova gives you everything you need to pass her class. Practice quizzes as well as a thorough lecture before labs. Attendance is a must. You do have to do all of the work, and if you do you will get an A. I had not had chemistry in a very long time and her lectures helped me to also get an A in my lecture class. I highly recommend her.
Her lab was great! She gives everything you need to know in the lecture before the lab, so take notes. She is also very helpful when it comes to questions during the lab or after class and will generally respond to any emails within the day. She also gives practice problems before test/quizzes and they are very similar to the real one.
Not the most clear, but pretty easy if you understand the basics of whats going on. I had her for lab, and it was super easy. She is a tough grader though She is nice and kind of helps, but won't spend much time on helping you other that a few words here and there
Professor Nedelkova is one of my favorite professors I've ever had. Shes fun and personable and is always willing to help. Study for the pre-lab quizzes and follow exactly what she wants for the lab reports and is an easy A. Took her for both 235 lab and 236. Highly recommend!!
She approaches this course mostly expecting you to know the topics that will be covered in the lab experiments, as this course is supposed to be an extension of CHM151 lecture. Lab reports are due weekly, most are not too tough. As for her, she is helpful when needed and thorough in explaining the experiments, but she is also a pretty tough grader.
This course was mainly math based, but she did a great job explaining exactly how to do the problems. She does expect you to already have math knowledge so if you don't know how to do a problem, work it out early before test time. Her practice quizzes are the exact same as her tests so if you do the problems before hand you will ace the tests.
Professor Nedelkova is an excellent chemistry lab teacher! She's knowledgeable about the subject and wants to share that knowledge with her students. She also has a sense of humor, which is good because chemistry can be kind of dry sometimes. The class isn't too difficult if you put forth effort. Her nice personality helps make it easier.
She is VERY straightforward with the material she expects you to know. She is always available if you need help, and is extremely enthusiastic about making sure you understand. She always gives practice, examples, and all slides posted online. Chemistry gets hard, but she is an extremely fair grader. Show up, ask questions, DO THE WORK, get an A.
Ochem is difficult but she makes it easier. She provides practice problems, practice quiz and tests AND provides the answers to help you study! Prof. Nedelkova also provides office hours as well as 1.5 hour help sessions once a week for 230 and 235. She will go out of her way to help you as long as you show up, do the work, and ask for help.
She was ok. I din't really stress that much for the lab.
Very caring , will always repeat concepts in class. Gives extra credit and she has a clear grading criteria. Just a midterm and a final. Take her
Professor Nedelkova is a great ochem instructor. She provides practice quizzes before every quiz/exam and they are nearly identical to real thing, so DO THEM! Offer extra credit at end of semester and is very clear with what you will be tested on. Super relaxed in lab as well. She's the reason why I actually enjoyed ochem!
The not-for-credit problems she assigns in the book for students' own edification are all odd ones. This seems stupid because that makes it difficult to find out whether you got any of them right. Other than that, I have no real complaints.
In all honesty she is a nice lady overall, though she lacks the compassion and understanding for her students. She really doesn't lecture in way you can understand. When you sit in lecture, you feel like you're just reviewing material you haven't been introduced to yet. For lab, she hardly explains the procedures & is not willing to help much.
Nearly every student was failing towards the end of the semester. While she is an extremely smart woman, she is not a good teacher. She runs through material as if it were review. Also, won't respond to emails for crap. Openly stated she was glad students dropped her course. Accent was a bit rough to understand at times too.
this is a tough class, but she gives plenty of opportunities to pass the class. You do need to put in the work and I highly recommend doing practice problems. If you have a problem with understand, she is is willing to meet with you after class. She could work on explaining better while lecturing, but other than that great teacher.
Professor Nedelkova does a pretty good job of teaching a tough course. If you ask her questions and put in the time, she is willing to help. She has a tutor session every week and it is very useful. Attending lecture is necessary, as the course is tough. She has a good sense of humor and the lab is pretty laid back.
OCHEM!! The class more talked about than any other and the horror stories!! I was terrified to take this class and my CHM130 didn't prepare me at all but I showed up every day and made an A. She is a great teacher and cares - go to the study group sessions. She gives extra credit and study guides - she's awesome!
Professor Nedelkova is a very good teacher. She is a fast speaker but if you can keep up you can tell she really loves the subject and wants to share that. Make sure that you pay attention to the expectations she outlines at the beginning of her class because she sticks to it. Also, take your prep work and prereading seriously.
This class was a Zoom meeting, but Professor Nedelkova was AMAZING. I don't do well in chem, but she made it easy to understand. She uses powerpoints as a guideline but took the time to hand right notes and explain how structures were manipulated. She is very willing to clarify questions. Make sure to rewrite notes and you will do great!
Actually had her for 152 Lecture Spring of 2021, rate my professor didn't list that one as an option. She's a great teacher, classes are difficult. Tests do not have lock down browsers. Lots of homework.
I really enjoyed taking professor Nedelkova's class this semester. She is super funny! To succeed in her class, make sure you are showing up to class and doing all of the assignments. The assignments really help to solidify the lecture material. Also, some say that she goes very fast. She has an accent that sounds fast but she isn't actually.
I don't know how her lecture class is, but if it's like how she teaches her lab class, I would take her in a heartbeat. Very understanding - even let me sign off a week early because she knew I had a far drive from Mesa. Lab reports were due weekly, don't speak in first person & don't describe the steps of the lab if you want full points.
She is ok. She does care about her students to be successful and pass her class with understanding the material. She gives practice reviews before any quizzes or exam which they are very similar to them. I have learned a lot from her class. Be very careful with details on anything because she is graded very straight. I do recommending her class!!!!
Professor Nedelkova isn't bad, she just teaches a very difficult class. I struggled to keep up and since each unit builds on the last, the problems started to build up for me. Every class is just straight lecturing and then 11 homework assignments throughout the semester. Quizzes and tests are hard, but she does give partial credit on problems.
Prof. Nedelkova is a great teacher BUT you have to pay attention. It's the kind of class where if you zone out you will absolutely be lost. She gives partial credit if you explain your answer and she will always explain things if you ASK. She gets really excited about chemistry and it makes it more fun.
Unorganised class. Extremely rude, referred to my disability accom as "unfair" to other students. Double check your grades, 4/5 exams graded wrong; points not being properly added in the grade book, questions mistakenly marked wrong. Avoid this professor to avoid extra stress. Chem is hard enough as is. Pillai or Houtchens are better options.
I am a student who tends to zone out. If you do that during her lecture, you will leave the class understanding nothing. She talks very fast and will explain hard topics with little to no visuals at times, so you have to pay attention. She did give extra credit, had good notes on Canvas, and made organic chemistry pretty easy to learn at home.
Dr. Nedelkova is an excellent teacher for OCHM. She cares about her students and offers extra credit at the end of the semester. There are 5 quizzes, 3 of which can be taken home, giving you ample time to work on the problems. there are ten homework assignments. The final exam will focus on the topics covered after the midterm, which is fantastic.
She is very nice, and her lab is quite easy. There are a total of 11 labs, with the lowest score being dropped. Each lab is worth 25 points and consists of three parts: the pre-lab, which must be completed before lab day, the data lab, where you write in pen, and the post-lab questions. Very easy A+
